Chose to eat here before going into the ballpark. Was not as packed as I've seen it, but enough that you have to wait for a seat. Ordered a margherita pizza with pepperoni. It was fine, still a little floppy so I feel they can cook it a little longer. Service is quick and easy, as you simply order at the counter and find a seat and they bring it out to you. We came to dine here before a concert. It was packed, looked like a company event. The team member at the counter, Chasidy, was not nice. No smile whatsoever. Like she was annoyed she had to take our order. Other than that experience, it was mostly pleasant. The pizza was good. We liked that the extras were self-serve. Open seating and order as you ready. There is the kitchen cashier were you can order food and non alcoholic beverages, then they have a full bar. Ambiance is very sporty and casual. Let's just get straight to the point. Been coming to this establishment many times. As I am very aware of the 'Validate Parking' if you spend $50 or more in the Battery. My wife and I are Braves season ticket holders so again, we are VERY aware of everything at the battery including what's going on inside of Truist. As I tried to get my receipt validated. The rude lady behind the bar tells me "You need to spend $60 or more". Dumbfound as ever as this must have changed over night. I nodded and removed myself from the situation. She was rude from the beginning which I noticed, I spoke softly as I didn't wanna intimidate the individual which then yells. "I cannot hear you" very rudely. If that's the cases maybe turn down the music. I should not feel as if I'm yelling to speak to anyone who's not even 5ft from me. As I speak up in an audible tone to be heard she states the lie and as I stated. I left the bar as I did not want any issues. Fast forward to me sending my "white" wife to the bar and it's completely different. The validation amount has now all of sudden dropped back to $50. In which she is still very rude to my wife who wouldn't hurt a fly. After she validates the receipt, she then slams it on the counter and walks off in an impolite manner. Essential customers service skills are easy to obtain, rudeness is a self character issues. No individual should be in said role if they cannot separate their job from his or her daily issues. The two do not mesh in any standard and one will prevail the other. If she is a racist and does not feel comfortable speaking or being around black people. Then she should be removed completely from the team. It is 2026 and we will no longer stay silent or feel as if we are the issue. In no shape or form should the conversation ever been handled in said manner. Honestly, I hope this reaches the individual as bigotry never wins nor does poor customer service. read more

I got the Margherita D.O.P. pizza with sausage which included an Italian style red sauce for a base and was topped with spinach also. I added some available pepper flakes and Parmesan. The pizza naturally comes thinly sliced and was cooked in a wood fire oven. The pizza size is about medium to large in comparison to average pies. With all the fresh and unique toppings combined, it was perfect match. Very light yet flavorful. Service was good, you order than find a seat and wait for your pizza to be ready at the counter. 4.5 overall! The location is great in the Battery, versatile for date nights or just for some fresh, tasty pizza. We got the Sophia and Diavola pizza, and they came out very fast for how busy they were and it was piping hot! The Sophia was a nice garlic cheese base, with onions, mushrooms, and truffle oil on top. The flavors were so mild yet prevalent and complemented each other so well, especially the onions which added a touch of sweetness to cut through the richness of the pizza! I really loved this pizza a lot! The Diavola was also good, it is a red sauce base with spicy peppers and a meat similar in flavor to pastrami, but thinner. This was also good but not particularly special, I definitely prefer the Sophia. For dessert we got their pistachio gelato which was delicious!! Super strong flavor and a nice, creamy texture! Definitely could come here just for ice cream. Service was good, they were really fast! You walk in, order and seat yourself, and then they call your name and you collect the pizza to eat. Try the Diablo with its perfect pepperoni. Add a drizzle of chili oil to kick it up a notch. Ordered a unmodified Margarita DOP to go. Recieved a pizza wi sausage and extra garlic. I am a "put garlic on everything" type of person and I may as well have eaten a clove alone. Love this place!! The pizza was delicious down to the crust. It is the perfect amount of cheese and sauce ratio with the crust thin crispy. We ordered a Margherita pizza pie and that served five people. For dessert we went to the back and had gelato and I ordered their Affogato that is a shot of espresso with gelato ( I chose sea salt and caramel). I've been wanting to try anticos for years and just never had the chance. I LOOOOVE pizza. Second favorite food. My bf and I ordered the margarita pizza, it was amazing! I would say there'd was entirely way too much crust on half the pizza. But I was still very delicious. Definitely tasted fresh. This place is mostly self serve besides ordering your food and then bringing it out. Great for lunch! We came to two games at Truist and this place had a huge line for the Saturday game, so we checked it out on Sunday. I'd assumed it was a table service restaurant but the long line was for counter service, thankfully it was a lot shorter than the previous day and moved pretty quick. Our pizza came out in a timely manner and we were able to find seats. My husband had asked for a side of red sauce, which was a great idea - it was soo good to dip the crust in and made the meal. The crowd can be overwhelming and having one person order is recommended when it is super busy. It can be loud inside so we opted for the patio. Diavola - crispy Absolute epic fail of a mess. The pizza crust itself was fine, but the salami was very thick, very raw, and very salty - almost like it was thrown on right before the finished product. This is by nature a salty pizza with the spicy salami and briny peppers, but I find that usually the greasy melty fat of the salami helps cut through that. But because it was simply shoved on top and way too thick, none of the fat rendered. The texture sucked, but more importantly it was just overpoweringly salty. The whole pizza was covered in cheese. Normally I'd love this, but this is more of a margheritta style with good quality bufala mozzarella, and here it just weighed down the whole thing. The sum of the quality parts was pretty disastrous. I've had this very great pizza at the original Antico, and this was my first experience at the Battery where I've already dinged some of these offshoots of quality, established Atlanta heirloom restaurants (I'm looking at you Fox Bros, and anything with Ford Fry's or Linton Hopkin's name on it) - and it again just establishes the trend of a pretty inferior experience. As for a meal, we had pizzas at Antico Pizza. Due to the Braves game most of the restaurants were supper busy including the pizza place. However, your can order drinks and pizza at the windows near the front entrance. We ordered two Large Pizzas and got them in 30 minutes. All pizzas are large and thin crust ONLY. The were respectively priced around $22-$23 per pizza. Also, they have a limited selection of calzones, salads and antipasti to choose from. Overall the pizzas were 3.5 stars. Hot and light but was lacking in some of seasoning. There were six adults and two kids who ate the two Large Pizzas. San Gennaro - $23 - 3.5 Stars Italian sausage, Sweet Red Peppers, Bufala Mozzarella, Garlic, Cipollini Onions This could have been better in flavor. Was missing the flavor from the roasted garlic and sweetness of the Cipollini Onions. Pizza was good. This isn't too spicy. Diavola -$23 - 4 Stars Spicy Salami, Calabrian Peppers, Bufala Mozzarella, Garlic The Calabrian Peppers gave this pizza a spicy kick to it and was hands down the better of two pizzas due to the flavor of the peppers. However if you can't handle the heat then the San Gennaro is a good choice to satisfy your hunger. read more
