This place is fantastic little joint. Steady flow of people, but places to sit and service was quick and friendly. My favorite type of pizza is a NY style pizza and it's hard to find a good one in Miami Dade. So when I tell you the drive was worth it, it was! I gave this place 4 stars simply because I haven't tried anything other than the pizza. The only thing I was disappointed with is that they don't have Oregano and what they cook is Italian food? I first started going to Antonio's in 1983 and today I am still going to Antonio's. I find it to be friendly family-owned with excellent, fresh food at affordable prices. The menu has a variety of items within the Italian cuisine and I'm fond of their lasagna the meat lovers Pizza meatball hero with an extra meatball. I also enjoy their small calzone with extra mozzarella sausage and meatball with a side of meat sauce all very good at very affordable pricing it's a win-win-win situation. read more

Looking for good pizza in Miami? It's not easy to find. Most places are mediocre at best. I'm on a quest to find the first Miami pizzeria that claims to be NY style, that is truly NY style. Tonight, I took on Antonio's of Miramar which not only claims NY pizza, but classic NY pizza. I ordered a large cheese pie well-done. My first impression wasn't overwhelming; a very thin outer crust and only a 16" pie as their large (true NY large pies are 18", that's 40% more pizza and a slice that folds nicely.) the underside gave proof that this pie was made by hand and not pressed or baked on a screen, all major pluses. The cheese had the right snap without being overly stretchy, albeit a tad thick. The sauce was robust, not overly sweet, but a little salty. The crust WAS super thin, NY style, but it had no crispness, even on a well-done pie. It had decent chew and good flavor, also. Very disappointing was the absence of a wider outer crust. At the end of the day, though, Antonio's at least registers as pizza within the parameters of good pizza, albeit not quite NY pizza, but they did get the thinness right and make it by hand, and those are the two most important aspects of pizzaology. read more

I live in Tampa for the past 10 years and I CANNOT find a pizzeria that does it even a little bit like Antonio's, not even close. I'm visiting back home in Miramar and leave today Sunday at noon and realized just now they don't open until 1pm, I think this made me more depressed than leaving the family. I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS PLACE! I love good Italian food and its really hard to find in Miami. This place has been around for MANY years and I have just discovered it as a recommendation from a friend who drives out of his way from Miami to come and eat this food. The pizza is delicious but I have to rave more about the rest of the menu. The chicken parm is very soft and flavorful. Its very hard to make something you deep fry soft, but they pull it off. Their marinara sauce is so delicious, I always ask for extra. One day my server recommended the chicken Française. She told me I would never go back to any other dish after trying it, and she was correct. They pan sear a lightly egged and floured piece of chicken and deliver it in the most delicious white wine, buttery, lemony sauce Ive ever had. I have cravings for this dish now! The ambience of Antonio's is dated and I know they have a newer sister restaurant in Miramar, but I will continue coming here because the food is so good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend. I love Antonio's Pizzeria Miramar (east) location. I feel it stands up to the best pizzas in NYC! Their food including pizzas are made to order. The wings are baked and well seasoned. Even their salads are fresh! Great service and the ambiance is a mom & pop feel. I haven't had a bad meal and been patronizing this restaurant for approximately 10 years. When I eat here I don't feel heavy or bloated. I could never eat manufactured pizza at chain restaurants again. It's just not good for the body and causes inflammation. In the area for a sporting event, we needed to grab some lunch and this was one of highest rated restaurants on Yelp in the immediate area. The place is rather small with only about 6 or 7 tables for dining. That being said, my friend and I arrived at lunchtime, walked right in and sat down with out a wait. The place initially appears to be a bit of a dive, however the table tops looked and felt like real marble so that added some class to the experience. I imagine they stay quite busy with call ins and takeout but our server came over to us after just a couple of minutes to take our order. We decided to split a medium "meat lovers" pizza and it was hot out of the oven in about 15 minutes. The pie didn't disappoint as the sauce, cheese and meaty toppings were fresh and delicious. The medium was 8 nice sized slices which was more than enough for the two of us. The server was attentive and we overheard the staff having conversations in Italian.
