Let me say that I don't have a ton of experience with shops, but after reading the great reviews I decided to stop in one morning after mulling over a Stage I mod on my '18 STI. Guy at the counter was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. They had everything I wanted in stock and even got additional discount with the stage I package. Thursday June 13, I got a deal on an Indivia Gemini R400 which loaded into my trunk since. I wanted to put it on asap because you know, who doesn't? The local tire shop's earliest appointment will be next Monday. I still need an adapter for my stock downpipe (Grimmspeed to be specific) so I asked around if anyone know anywhere that I can get it locally (weekend shipping won't be fast enough) - a friend recommended me Antspec. Called them next morning asking about the adapter, it's in stock and they invited me to come in anytime. Friday June 14, I dropped by the store at 3:00pm to pick up the adapter. I ended up making an appointment to have Antspec install my exhaust because they can do it SAME DAY and almost at the SAME PRICE with my local tire shop too! Happy as a clam, I came back 4:30pm, gave them a key, my car was took in, I took a nap on the couch in the waiting room where I can see other WRX being dyno'ed on screens. I woke up to a staff letting me know they are done and asked if I want to see my car while it's still on the lift ... HELL YEAH!?!?!?! He walked me to the garage and showed me how it got done, taught/showed me few more things here and there about the car. The garage was also really clean and organized. There was only one mechanic in the shop - I was his last appointment, but I don't feel like he was rushing at all, pretty chill dude. The installation is neat and clean. He even considerate enough to wrapped my stock exhaust (avoid damaging interior) and put them back nicely into my car - folded seat bc mid-pipe and y-pipe inseparable. They gave the key back to me and saluted. Couldn't happier. I've been driven the car for a few days, it sounds good, haven't found any leak. A whole experience was a breeze; the staffs were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They are cool people and will answer all your questions honestly. Antspec provides almost all service to WRX from oil change to engine upgrade. I haven't experience any tuning with them yet but I really want to find out. Another great visit to AntSpec. Went in for diff, trans and brake fluid change on Saturday. Ant was working on my car and found that there was some weird black debris in my brake reservoir. He took his time and was able to remove the debris out for me. Ant also reinspected the exhaust install he did for me to see if we could adjust the tips. Took his time to explain to me how the fitting was affected by the hangars and the exhaust itself. Car came out perfect and it was an all around great visit. Everyone there is very helpful. I had previously ordered the Accessport and Cobb intake for my 2014 WRX hatch, and installed it myself. Very pleased with the boost in performance from this basic mod. I emailed Ronnie a couple weeks ago to set up an appointment for downpipe and catback exhaust to get some more power out of my Rex. All of the guys there were great! They brought my car right into the bay, and started work. They installed the components, and let me come check out the finished product before tuning. The tech did a nice clean install, and sent me home with my OEM parts. I got some nice under the car photos. Jon did a custom tune to get me 305 hp to the wheels! The downpipe and exhaust really accentuate the low rumble of the boxer engine. They gave me a discount off all of the retail parts to boot! I would definitely recommend the Cobb team and parts to get the most performance out of any of the car makes they specialize in. So my story starts with me looking on the Cobb official website for retailers and tuners, I came across Antspec, they were listed as platinum and boy did they not disappoint!! I had a few local shops all lag on me and I needed a good trusting business to check out my car. My car had been experiencing bogging/misfiring(feeling) issues since I bought it a few months back. I emailed Antspec after their closing hours and wasn't expecting to hear back from them, but I got a response around 10pm! Wow thank you Ant, he had me take my car in the very next day. When I got there Ant told me he was going to run a few basic checks and go from there. Came across my j pipe missing 2 bolts and needed the boost pill replaced as well as my access port being on the wrong tune, I mistakenly put it on the wrong one. I was in and out in a matter of about an hour and a half max. I will be recommending Antspec to all my friends and bringing my car here for all future mods. I can't thank you enough Ant!! The guys here are amazing. I first contacted Ronnie months back and was going back and forth. I was debating between YimiSport and AntSpec and I'm so glad I chose AntSpec. I got my 2016 sti tuned for the downpipe and ebcs which they installed for me. It was a whole day project and I ended up having a boost leak at my pcv valve. I forgot the guys name but he walked me through how the pcv valve works and offered different possibilities to go around the boost leak. They even offered me to join in on their barbecue but I went to the gym on brookhurst. I got tuned by Jason and the tune is absolutely amazing. I can't express my gratitude for them. These guys know there stuff. There products are a bit pricey,and they can over charge on some things, but the quality is great. So if you don't mind spending a bit extra cash then I would go with Cobb products. They can be very friendly, people have good and bad days. I got my ms3 pro tuned here, new inlet hose and switched to Cobb BOV. Sure you can find cheaper. But Cobb does good work. read more

Update: 2-28-16 So as soon as I drive off, the 2nd thing that I noticed (aside from nothing being fixed and paying a ton of money for) was that the AC stopped working. I took it to my usual shop and they've fixed everything. Evidently, they disconnected an AC component and forgot to put it back on. The car runs super strong.Everything that these guys said was WRONG and falsely diagnosed. These guys charged me $500 to change the O2 sensor that didn't need changing. Seriously? $200 for part and it takes me 30 min to change it out. They spend bucket load of money of advertising their brand. That's why they always show up when you search for Subaru performance. Don't fall for it folks, it's all gimmick with no true talent to back it up. ________ 'customer first,' is certainly not in their modo. I've dealt with Cobb for couple of month on an ongoing issue. After getting a cliche run around and $2500 later, the problem still remains. Reggie (one of the guys you would be dealing with) is a jaded guy and it's clearly apparent that he absolutely despises dealing with customers. Cobb is not capable of properly diagnosing intricate problems on modded vehicles. They do simple installs and tune but I DO NOT recommend taking moderately/heavily modded cars for any type of issues you may have. You will hear an earful of nonsense, come out a lot poorer and your initial problem still intact. In the end, they kicked me to the curb and pushed me off to another shop and distanced themselves from the problem, after exposing their incompetence. There are numerous shops in socal that are solid and that I wholeheartedly trust with my two 600hp vehicles. Also with far superior customer service as well. In comparison, these guys are absolute amateurs. Needless to say, I will not be returning when I purchase my next car (2017 sti). Aside from AP, I will not be upgrading my new vehicle with ANY COBB parts what so ever. Also, I would also not refrain from speaking my mind in the numerous car forums that I frequently visit. All work will be done from Yimi Sport Tuning, 5150 Racing, Japanese Engine Racing, Corner 3 and a few others. Those guys are light years ahead of Cobb in every aspect. I will be getting a transmission overhaul by Project Import in Orange in the next few weeks. I also had a great experience with Pure Turbos in Oceanside recently for my turbo needs (Charles). read more

I had my 09 GTR tuned at Cobb exactly one year ago and it's been one solid year of perfect performance (knock on wood!). I had the stage 2+ tune on E85 and my GTR started with 430 whp and after the tune puts out 634 whp on stock turbos and E85 gas. The E85 has been one of the best upgrades and the turbo spool up and power band are like nothing else on the road. It's almost "too fast," if that's even fair to say. I love my car and the speed and power it has after getting tuned at Cobb, but sometimes it scares the crap out of me. The torque and sheer acceleration is just ridiculous. Antolin was the sales rep who worked with me on my job and I forgot the guy who actually tuned my car on the dyno (somebody from AMS), but both guys did an A+ job. I highly recommend Cobb if you have a stock GTR and are looking to squeeze a little bit more power and torque out of it safely and affordably (especially Antolin for being honest and helpful up front - helping me get the right build for my needs rather than maximizing his profit, which I really appreciated). read more
