[[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the cozy feeling of place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lady named Sun young was super nice and kind to me and my boyfriend. Thank you! Also foods were very good. We ordered Sun Dae soup and Fish eggs soup and I liked Sun Dae soup better but both were very fresh. I also liked side dishes. Thank you Sun Young. may God continue to shine light through you.

Tried their tofu soup with beef. Good flavor and tasty. The sides are refillable. The only downside is that they didnt have bean sprout. Came on a sunday night no wait.

I visited Ap Gu Jung for lunch on Wednesday with my friend around 1 p.m. I was seated upon arrival without a reservation. Ap Gu Jung is a small store inside the plaza on Golden Springs Dr in Diamond Bar. We ordered the Pork Backbone Stew ($47.99). The portion is pretty big, and it can feed 3 people, even though it's listed as serving 2 on the menu. The Pork Backbone was very delicious. It also came with traditional Korean cold dishes like Kimchi, seaweed, rice noodles, etc. The service was great! I will definitely visit again to try other dishes, like the Korean Pork Sausage, which sounds very interesting.

The soondae plate here is absolutely delicious. Nothing like the frozen version you buy at the supermarket. It is soft and chewy, and the outer skin is not tough or rubbery. My friend and I ended up finishing the entire plate the sides were also delicious, our favs were the kimchi, fish cake, and seaweed. I think we enjoyed the shareables more than what we ordered individually. The menu is pricier, however the portions are hugee. Overall 5/5 will be back :)

    Octopus with noodles

Food was authentic and delicious! The seafood pancake was so crispy and had so much seafood in there! We also ordered the octopus noodles - spicy, savory, sweet, chewy, and addictive. It comes with noodles but it wasn't enough to go with all the octopus. I would recommend also ordering some rice on the side to eat with the delicious sauce. Service was prompt but what you'd expect from a hole-in-the-wall Korean restaurant. Would visit again to try different things on the menu.

The service was great. They were accommodating. They moved us to a nice bigger booth when it became available. The food satisfied my cravings. I love variety and the banchan they served. The pork was delicious.

Spicy pork bbq; galbitang; and banchan

I came here with my husband and tried their spicy pork bbq and galbitang, it was very delicious and their banchan are really tasty. I came again a few days later craving some spicy cold noodles, but they don't seem to have it, so I tried the cold noodle soup, again their food is so delicious. The lady there is very sweet and recognized me when I came the second time. I'll be back again to try other food on the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is small but cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My number 1 go to spot for cold noodles, bossam and soondae guk bap. Oh and samgyetang Those are the items I've tried so far and so good! The service here is amazing. I come here alone and I feel comfortable and happy. Place is snugged away in the back of the shopping complex. If you miss home cooking and nice service i highly recommend coming by here.

Authentic Korean food. Waitress is very kind and sweet. Tip her kindness generously. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vibes are nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Outside there is a bright led sign.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is comfy but not small. A comfortable arrangement.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Design is very nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It was my first time dining at Ap Gu Jung, and I was immediately impressed upon entering.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Most of the guests were Korean, which made me feel more confident about the authenticity of the food. We ordered the Bossam and the Seafood Pancake. The portions were generous--we couldn't finish everything and had to take some home. The food was excellent, especially the Seafood Pancake, which was full with shrimp, squid, and crab sticks. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making the experience even better. Everything we had tasted so delicious and flavorful, even the side dishes that consisted of kimchi, fish cakes, and some chives. We kept asking for more and the employees were more than happy to keep them coming! For food, we got the bossam, sulungtang, and yukgaejang. The bossam arrived on this grill that kept it warm throughout the meal, which I can appreciate. The sulungtang and yukgaejang were both phenominal and hit the korean comfort food cravings. Get the purple rice!! Not to mention they had deals on alcohol too. I believe $5 for beer and $7 for a soju bottle -- cant beat that in this economy! Definitely will be adding this to my rotation for korean food.

The pork is consistently tender, and the banchan (side dishes) are always fresh and high quality. The braised beef was good, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. It could have been braised longer, and I felt the sauce didn't really penetrate the meat the way it has at other places, so the flavor was a bit lacking. The only real downside was that the older woman working that day was a little short with us. Other than that, the food is consistently solid. Overall, 4/5.

I ordered the tofu stew with sausage, and the portion was huge!! I ended up splitting it over two meals. I also added an egg for an extra $2.50, which was a nice touch. Overall, the stew was delicious and really hit the spot. The ordering process is pretty straightforward bc you pay first before finding a seat. There's also plenty of parking available outside, which is super convenient. One cute detail I loved was the small ice cream bar in the front which it adds a fun touch to the place. I'd definitely come back again!

The interior was a more empty feeling space but maybe it was because it was just empty on a Saturday evening. The food itself was honestly just okay. I have had some curry udon in the past, but it just feels like this was a packaged curry with udon noodles and sausage. This was not worth the price. Same with the spicy rice cakes. The sauce and soup was solid, but a bit too much tang and it felt more like a packaged rice cake you can buy from the store the cheese was melted at first, but it became hard quickly after. I don't think I'd recommend both of the items. The saving grace was the Korean fried chicken wings. These are good, the sauce was yummy, and the texture was great. I was disappointed because of the high remarks for this place.
