Highly recommended here. Amazing seafood clam and shrimp and black mussels soup with lots of fresh vegetables. Dynamite delicious and no waiting in line at 11:00 am this morning. The beautiful owner works very hard to make all guests feel welcome and comfortable and truly appreciate the fantastic chef cooking in the back. All Authentic Seoul South Korean recipes make KyoDong noodles a favorite hotspot for the locals in Rowland Heights. Come on in and enjoy fresh hot flavorful dishes that are sure to keep you coming back for more wonderful meals. Happy Holidays this winter season.

Huge portions, tasty food, excellent attentive service. Dinner for 4 - we ordered the jjampong, seafood jajangmyeon, mandu, bulgogi (with rice) to share and it was too much food! Everything (except the bulgogi) was delicious. Would recommend. Service was excellent and we were offered free yuzu tea. Will return again!

The food was delicious and the staff is friendly. The service is fast too. The portion size is also plenty large. The black bean sauce for the noodles has a good depth of flavor. So it good in a general sense, but it's a bit lacking in the black bean paste flavor. The glass noodles also tasted good, but it's incredibly oily. The soup, unfortunately, is super salty. I asked to add more veggies but was told that not possible, even for extra charge. Overall, great taste. A bit on the oily and salty side.

    Uni jjajangmyeon

We went here for lunch on a Sunday early afternoon and overall enjoyed their uni jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles with minced vegetables and pork) ($12.99), tangsuyuk (fried pork with sweet and sour sauce) ($20.99), and Mongolian beef ($15.99). The portions here are large so they're great for group settings. However, if I'm ever hungry, I'd keep this place in mind for ordering their jjajangmyeon to go. The uni jjajangmyeon was solid. They provided us the noodles in a bowl separate from the black bean sauce with minced vegetables and pork. We had to pour the sauce in the noodles. The noodles are long, and we got scissors to help serve ourselves. The minced vegetables were mostly onions, and the pork was crispy and flavorful. Unfortunately, the black bean sauce could've been more flavorful, and I wish we didn't have to resort to using more table condiments. The tangsuyuk was tasty and came to us as a large portion. The fried pork itself isn't seasoned, and they provided us the sweet and sour sauce on the side. We decided to just dip the pork rather than pouring the whole sauce. The sauce was tasty and had sliced carrots and pineapples in it. The fried pork was easy to eat because it was soft and cut into small pieces. The Mongolian beef was more like bulgogi due to its blend of sweet and savory flavors. The menu item in English makes it seem like you'd eat Korean bulgogi, but the Hangul reads as "Mongolian." The texture was slightly crispy, and there was rice on the side. This dish had a lot of grilled onions, but they were at least fresh. The restaurant seemed clean when we first entered. However, I noticed one ant on our table while we'd been eating our food. That subtracted one star from this review. We found parking quickly because they have cones on top of spaces reserved only for patrons dining at their restaurant. The server was nice and guided us on using the scissors to cut the noodles and how to eat the tangsuyuk.

Got their jjajang and tansuyuk, which was heavily influenced by kdrama. Nothing amazing but they have good portions. It's not going to amaze you into wow, I can eat this everyday.

This is shrimp fried rice in Hong Kong ban jum with same price next day(other restaurants)

I visited this restaurant because I had been to another location of the same franchise before (in Buena Park) and had a decent experience there. At that location, you pay at the counter, tipping isn't something you have to think much about separately, and even the menu setup feels more straightforward. So I went in expecting a similar experience. However, this visit was very disappointing from start to finish. First, the ordering system was different. Instead of paying at the counter, I was seated and ordered at the table. That's fine -- but what really mattered was the food quality. I ordered the fried rice ($15.99), and when it arrived, I was honestly shocked. There was no meat at all, barely any vegetables, and only a few small scattered pieces of egg that looked more like garnish than an actual ingredient. It felt like plain rice with minimal additions. For nearly $16, it did not look or taste like a complete dish. The complimentary jjamppong soup that came with it was also under-seasoned and lacked depth of flavor. Overall, the meal felt rushed and lacking in care. With tax and a $2 tip, the total came out to over $17. For that price, I expect basic ingredients and proper seasoning at the very least. What made it even more disappointing is that the very next day, I had shrimp fried rice at a different restaurant (similar to Hong Kong Banjum) for about the same total price -- around $17. That dish had generous shrimp, plenty of vegetables, properly cooked egg, and balanced flavor. The difference in quality and effort was obvious. When two meals cost almost the same, it really makes you question the value. If I'm going to spend that amount anyway, I would rather pay a couple extra dollars and enjoy a satisfying meal that feels thoughtfully prepared. What frustrates me most is the inconsistency. This is the same franchise name as the Buena Park location, yet the operation style, menu, and food quality feel completely different. I don't understand how standards can vary so much under the same brand. I'm sharing this review because customers expect consistency and a reasonable level of quality -- especially at this price point. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet those expectations.

Food: 4/5 - the lady messed up our order. We ordered spicy beef #1 and white seafood #2 but ended up with spicy seafood. The noodles were good because I like it chewy. I wished they would be a bit more generous with the shrimp. Broth is also tasty but I felt like every bite was onion. Service: 1/5 - the lady who took our order was a bit rude and felt rushed. She didn't stop by to refill our side dishes. When asked for three bowls because we're sharing, she only gave us two and came back with another empty bowl and holler "this one is for trash!" She could have been a bit nicer and attentive. Maybe because we ordered two items to share. But we also ordered extra noodles. Ambiance 4/5 - it's nice and clean. Feels like one of those food court sit down place to eat since you have to go order and pay your food. I'm not sure is I'll come back because the food selection isn't that exciting and I'm sure I can find a much better Korean comfort food places elsewhere with better service.

1 of 3 places I checked out for jajangmyun in RH. Quaint, clean, friendly service and quick! Food was tasty and served hot. Mandu huge and filled with meat, crisp fried. Lunch during weekday for jajangmyun is $8.99! Kimchi, daikon radish served complimentary. Will come here again. TY

I have visited this store a few times with family and friends. It's an eatery type Korean Chinese noodle restaurant. The sauces are authentic and noodles are tasty. Service is order from counter then they serve to your table. The vibe is eatery style. I always order blackbean noodle or spicy seafood noodle or sometimes with sweet and sour pork. They taste just right and pickled dishes are made in house!

    2. White Seafood Noodle Soup
    Megan K.

Kyodong is my go to for jiajangmyeon because it's affordable and always fills me up! Whenever I feel a cold coming, I go for the white seafood soup. There is a nice variety of seafood for a very decent price. When entering, you order at the cashier then the server will give you the food at your seat. Water and tea is also available at the back of the restaurant near the T.V. When you get seated, daikon is provided for jiajangmyeon, but if you're to go and want more daikon, then it's an extra $1.50. Parking is okay, I have not arrived at a busy hour so I usually find a spot immediately.

This place can get crowded during lunch. I came here to try their jahang myeon and it was pretty good, it doesn't have the greasy feel as some other places. They put some cucumbers on top of the jajang myen (some pork, onions and zucchini). It could have used more pork meat, but the little that I got were big chunks. It is a nice, clean restaurant and not super loud which can be nice. You order and pay up at the register abd they'll bring your food to the table.

    Stir-fried Meatballs with Vegetables
    Airi G.

We came to try out the lunch specials which included an entree with rice, soup, and salad. It turned out to be banchan rather than salad which was a pleasant surprise but the entrees themselves were a bit disappointing. We split the entrees so I got to try all three: mapo tofu, stir-fried meatballs with veggies, and Szechuan spicy eggplant. My favorite is probably the eggplant dish but that's not saying much. It had the most flavor but it was not spicy at all. I was so excited to try the mapo tofu but it was so bland despite it looking promising. I forgot if salt was one of the condiments on the table but I ended up taking it home and adding salt myself. As for the meatball dish, it was just alright to me. Nothing special to write home about. It also didn't help that it was hard to flag down the waitresses and I ended up walking up to the front myself to ask for water and a takeout box. The restaurant itself has a modern interior and plenty of tables for groups although it may look small on the outside. Parking was easy considering we went on a weekday but it might be tough on a weekend.

    Amazing Korean-Chinese cuisine!

It offers a generous portion of tender, juicy meat and springy, fresh noodles. "DELICIOUS!!" I arrived at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) on Sunday (around 11AM). Parking is easy. The lot is big with many spots. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, but Staff spoke limited English. Fortunately, pointing at the menu was clear enough. The food took eight minutes and nine seconds. Fast time! As mentioned, the Beef Rib Noodle Soup ($16.50 - Mild) is wonderful! It arrived picturesque and delicious!! However, despite ordering "mild," the food has a very strong heat; I sweat nonstop as I ate. The broth is rich, savory, and spicy. The meat is tender, flavorful, and falls off the bone. And the noodles are hefty, soft, and springy. It's a wonderful, euphoric combination of flavors and textures. Concerning ambiance, No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights) is surprisingly spacious with its tall ceiling and relatively clean surroundings. However, its walls and furniture look worn down with time. Some seats even had torn holes. Unfortunately, the music uses radio with constant commercials playing in the background. Fortunately, there's a gender neutral restroom in the back. Overall, I found culinary magic at No. 1 Noodle House (Rowland Heights). The food is fresh, generously portioned, and well-prepared. I left full with a bright smile. The house beef noodles even at mild spice can pack a good amount of heat, so I'd give a warning if you have a low tolerance. The zajiang noodles had a great texture, and the flavor was light but still flavorful. I'd definitely order that again but with mild spice next time I make a visit. The restaurant has a nice and clean ambience with space for group and solo seating. Unfortunately, the restaurant was undergoing power issues, so we couldn't use a phone to order. I've tried quite a few dishes here and honestly everything has been solid. I usually get the house beef noodle but this time I tried the braised pork noodle. My friend got the hot and sour chaoshou which was also really good. The dumpling skin was chewy and they were packed with filling. It's also nice that you can customize the oil level in your broth. We ordered the pig ears as an appetizer too. I loved the crunchy texture but the flavor was a bit underwhelming. The initial taste was mostly chili oil and then the flavor kind of disappeared. They have a lot of other great appetizers on the menu so I'd probably skip this one next time.
