My favorite! I somehow always find myself here at 2 or 3 am when I need a quick bite. Some of my favorites- Their BBQ eggplant is full of garlicky goodness. 3.5 stars This is a good option given it's the only Chinese skewer cart in LIC. Prices range from $2 a stick for the basic meats (chicken, lamb, beef) to higher for other options. It's also convenient because they have online ordering and they take credit cards, although that also means there's tax. It's not the best skewers I've had, definitely go to Flushing for better ones, and the wait time might be longer at night since they do seem to get a lot of online orders and I only usually see 1 (sometimes 2) people working. I always have to get lamb when I get Chinese skewers. It doesn't take gamey and has a good ratio of meat to fat. Their beef can be a bit tough but generally still good as well. The chicken is quite chunky and very juicy! Those are typically my go to items for the cart but I've wanted to try other items such as the garlic eggplant, which always gets sold out! Good option for a late night snack. Their spicy isn't spicy at all and they pack their orders in aluminum so it stays warm but with Chinese skewers, I like the dry spices so when it's packed up, it tends to create more moisture. read more

Everytime I try to order via grubhub or DoorDash, it states that they are open for orders but after placing the order and waiting over 1.5 hour, I reach out to support and they told me the delivery guy said the placed is closed or couldn't locate the cart. Long story short if you're going to order from here order everything that's on a stick and you won't be disappointed. There's not much veg unless you consider grilled tofu something of the sort. Of course I did try the grilled tofu was it was fantastic. I also did a couple of the other meat options with the spicy topping and it was just as I expected; perfect. Delivery: I ordered from an app called hungry panda, was getting quite frustrated when we waited about 1.5 hours. We decided to give the app a call and they had told us the restaurant is doing their own deliveries even though we ordered from the app and gave us their number to reach them. When we called, they had told us the order had went out. Waited another 15 mins and decided to call again and ask them to give us the driver's number because it's just getting ridiculous at this point. Another 15 mins passed and we finally got our food. Chicken wing was not fully cooked through, corn was not cooked (still hard), drinks came warm, food was semi warm, missing two of our orders, and lastly, taste was just ok. Served 10 skewers with little slivers of meat, each 1/3 of a pinky finger in size. Makes no sense. The tinfoil and sticks probably cost more than that meat. Tried them last night accidentally when I found out my favorite bar's kitchen was being renovated, and ... uh... wow. I'd never had Xianjing style bbq but it's very good! Maybe it took a little long for a food cart, but I tried Notorious Tofu, eggplant and garlic, and pork skewers. All were fresh, filled with flavor, and portion sizes of solid food dollar value. Eggplant had loads of fresh and garlic cloves. The tofu was savory, nutty, and satisfying as any meat dish. And the meat was tasty, smoky, and loaded with umami flavors. I hope they deliver to Sunnyside because otherwise I'm going to start making the trek to LIC for their food regularly. I'd give five stars, but it's a food cart, and one must reserve a star for the seating and ambiance. read more
