3.5 stars This is a good option given it's the only Chinese skewer cart in LIC. Prices range from $2 a stick for the basic meats (chicken, lamb, beef) to higher for other options. It's also convenient because they have online ordering and they take credit cards, although that also means there's tax. It's not the best skewers I've had, definitely go to Flushing for better ones, and the wait time might be longer at night since they do seem to get a lot of online orders and I only usually see 1 (sometimes 2) people working. I always have to get lamb when I get Chinese skewers. It doesn't take gamey and has a good ratio of meat to fat. Their beef can be a bit tough but generally still good as well. The chicken is quite chunky and very juicy! Those are typically my go to items for the cart but I've wanted to try other items such as the garlic eggplant, which always gets sold out! Good option for a late night snack. Their spicy isn't spicy at all and they pack their orders in aluminum so it stays warm but with Chinese skewers, I like the dry spices so when it's packed up, it tends to create more moisture.

I couldn't find chuck on yelp but know it's same/affiliated with APANDI. Unacceptable.Otherwise food is good.

Everytime I try to order via grubhub or DoorDash, it states that they are open for orders but after placing the order and waiting over 1.5 hour, I reach out to support and they told me the delivery guy said the placed is closed or couldn't locate the cart. If you are closed, you can simply take yourself off service. APANDI BBQ IS THE SAME AS CHUCKS BBQ. Same address same phone number to reach. Please change to offline if you are not open because it's upsetting. Was really looking forward to the good skewers.

The restaurant is a few blocks from the main street of Steinway so it'll take a bit of searching. Going inside, the area is rather abstract. Pink flower wallpaper on one end and dry wall on the other, it's kinda off-putting but I didn't come here for the atmosphere anyway. Service was lukewarm, I got my order in but the two workers inside weren't too receptive and the menu itself is kinda barebones with most of their food being a bit more than I would like to pay for so I just settled on one order of Singapore Mei Fun. After waiting 10 minutes for my food to arrive, the Singapore noodles which are usually spicy were kinda salty but it was nothing a bit of duck sauce wouldn't fix. This one order cost $17 while not the worst Singapore Mei Fun...well technically it is, even though it's not horrible but I've had much better from other places for a stable price of $12. Yeah, a rather disappointing visit. Not the worst I've ever had but could be so much better.

I got the wonton soup and pork juicy buns. The soup was different from other wonton soups with the addition of cilantro and some nice balancing flavors for the salt, and the juicy buns were your classic soup dumplings with a very nice rich sauce to dip in. The dandan noodles my friend ordered were maybe my favorite, they were the perfect level of spicy and so flavorful without being overwhelming. I'd go back just for my own plate of those. The service was quite fast, and it's a cute little shop that feels like a small town Chinese restaurant. Very reasonably priced as well. Some of my favorite Chinese food I've found outside of Lower Manhattan !

Once she got to her destination, she opened the food container so that she can begin eating. As soon as she looked down, she noticed that there appeared to be something on her shrimp and was compelled to walk back to the restaurant and ask for either a refund or newly prepared food. The host/clerk (person behind the counter) told her it was grease and refused to either refund her or prepare a new meal. So my daughter sent me a picture of the food and I told her it looks like the shrimp has herpes! Never the less, she didn't eat it nor did she cause a fuss and Just walked out. The consequence of poor customer service usually results in a closed business. It's a shame how these restaurants come to our neighborhood/country and refuse to provide valuable customer service. I gave 3 stars because I'm pretty sure she went there before and it was good enough to go back.

As a local NYer who grew up with this type of comfort food, it's important to understand the distinctions. If you're expecting restaurant style food, do your research next time. When you're looking for a quick fix of stir fried foods, rice dishes drenched in glazed sauces, and crispy appetizers, this place did the trick. On my rainy day visiting my companions and bringing back takeout, this place provided us the food we needed. Most Chinese food takeout places would slather on so much salt, high sodium seasonings, watered down sauces, and very stale old cold rice. This place did none of this and they did a great job with their mixtures and flavors on my dishes. My only troubling thing was deciding what to get as everything looked good to order. Food bought on my side was the beef and broccoli - easy to tear through the beef bits, glazed and marinated nicely, and the broccoli was cooked well. My crab rangoons (what this place is known for) was extremely crispy and still hot when I arrived to my friend's place with melty cheese goodness in the center. Last is the shrimp eggroll - crispy and a bit bigger in portion than I usually get at other locations. No complaints on any items ordered and they all tasted fantastic. Staff is very nice and professional too. They also make sure to not miss out on giving any utensils or sauces to go with your orders. A better option for takeout Chinese food compared to the other neighboring places in this area as noted by my friend and Astoria local.
