I was in the area for a doctor's appointment and mapped the closest coffee shops to me to get some work done. I am so glad I came across this place! Here is what I ordered: Tiramisu Latte: You have the option to do this drink with espresso or with matcha. I obviously chose to go the matcha route and I was impressed. I liked the matcha powder on top and the cream mixed well with the drink. Not too sweet but good flavor! There are a few tables and a bar top area. I was able to snag a table but all tables have outlets where you can plug in, and if you know me, you know this is a must for me when it comes to coffee shops! The service was great, as it was my first time here and the barista walked me through options on the menu. There is good music and it was not too loud, even for all the people in there. It is fairly dark inside, but for me that's never an issue. They even provide you with cushions and pillows to make working extra comfy. This spot is located in a smaller plaza with a decent amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a nice modern setup with a more monotone meets hype type of vibe. As for their menu, they have a great selection of different seasonal and signature drinks along with their variety of craft bites. First time hearing about this spot and oh my goodness the flavors were so delicious! I love banana and coffee together and this place just hit the spot. The decor inside and over all vibe was super chill and they had great music playing. I wish this location was atleast double its size because I would have loved to sit and hang because it is rather small. Service was fast fast and the crew working were very sweet! We ordered the Monkey Business iced latte and the Snow monkey iced latte with an extra shot of espresso. The drinks were absolutely delicious and like nothing I have ever had before. The banana is not over powering at all but the drink is on the sweeter side so I highly recommend paying for an extra shot! We also got the choco banana loaf and butter croissant and enjoyed that very much. We will be coming back for when the craving hits but I don't see this place as being on our regular rotation, it is much pricier here than our usual spots. I tried the banana Matcha latte and it did not disappoint! The banana cream was so delicious and complemented the Matcha latte very well. The Matcha itself was rich and smooth. The best matcha latte in the area! I get it with oat milk and honey and it has the best flavor. I prefer it not sweet, stronger matcha flavor, and a deep green color. That is how they make it everytime. To top it off, everyone who works there (at the Placentia location) is so friendly. I can't get enough of this coffee shop. Not only is their coffee and matcha fantastic, but it's consistently delicious. The baked goods and sandwiches are also great. Came here around 3pm on a Thursday to study and it wasn't super packed. The Banana Cream Matcha was amazing!! It's their signature and it was so creamy and did not take away the matcha flavoring. The staff members were so nice as well and near closing time, they asked us if we wanted free pastries since it would be a waste to throw away. Did not realize that I was a fan of banana coffee until I stumbled across this place. Usually my wife and I head to Phin Smith for some banana coffee but this is definitely the new go to! As we stood in the line it continued to grow it took us about 25 minutes to order and get our drinks. The matcha here is solid! It was my first time here, mainly came here for the banana matcha (this has been trending all over) The matcha itself was super smooth, no bitterness at all! Cool little spot with a primate theme! Majority of the drinks have a banana twist. Definitely on brand and surprisingly good. It has a genuine banana flavor and not "fake". I ordered the Monkey Business coffee and really enjoyed it. My husband and niece tried the Incredible Ape matcha. Sadly, it didn't meet their standard. This review is solely for the banana matcha. I had heard great things about it from people and through social media, but it was quite a letdown. The latte is called the "Incredible Ape Matcha" but it was hardly matcha and certainly not incredible. Incredible Ape Matcha: I opted for 75% sweet with oat milk which was unfortunately $1.00 upcharge. The latte comes standard with a banana cream top as well as honey drizzle. I asked for less banana cream as well because I wanted a good matcha flavor to shine through. When I received the drink, I tried the matcha on its own to taste the matcha flavor prior to mixing everything together. It was very grassy compared to other shops so beware if that matcha flavor profile is not your favorite. I noticed the latte still had a substantial amount of cream on top, taking up about 1/3 of the cup. I'm not sure how much more cream they would put if this was considered "less cream." The honey was totally unnecessary as it made the matcha extremely sweet and just pooled at the bottom of the cup even with constant stirring. I should have asked for 25% sweet but didn't realize the latte came with honey until after ordering. Once the cream was mixed in, the matcha was very hard to discern. The banana cream taste itself was good but that was really the only good thing about the drink. For $8, this drink was entirely not worth it. The shop and parking: The shop is located in a small plaza pretty close to the freeway entrance/exit. There's a strip of parking out front. I came on a weekday afternoon and there were several spots open so it wasn't hard to park. The shop itself is medium sized with some tables and chairs to sit down and get some work done if you wanted. The vibe was sleek with black walls and lots of ape branding, some merch. They sell pastries and food in addition to drinks. Service was nice. Overall: Did not enjoy the matcha, and the drink and price point was not worth it to come back. read more

Usually, matcha lattes are too watered down/milky for my taste... this was absolutely perfect. Not too milky, high quality matcha, perfect sweetness level, and amazing flavor. The banana cold foam was AMAZING. Tasted like real, fresh banana. The honey drizzle sprinkle of cinnamon elevates the flavor. If you are looking for a really god matcha, go here! I don't usually order oat milk in my coffee but I decided to give this one a try. wow. probably the best pumpkin coffee I've ever had. I went on Saturday around 4pm and there was a bit of a wait and the line got longer. The inside is pretty small but there are some tables for folks to do work. I ordered and waited less than 5 min for my drink! I got the incredible ape matcha and I loved it! Have to shake it fully to get the full flavor. I'm a big fan! I wish they had bigger sizes.
