I highly recommend. I have been a customer of Apex Nails for around 15 years. They have recently expanded and it looks really nice. While they have always been a clean establishment, I felt very safe during a recent visit while in the pandemic. They are friendly, consistent, quick, no up-selling, and thorough. Anthony does an amazing job on my dip nails. I have been all over Nashville including all of the salons in green hills and my nails either broke or chipped. My nails have never looked better with Anthony. I get compliments daily on them. Salon is super laid back, nothing fancy and they don't have a ton of the new colors but the workmanship is amazing. I read all the Yelp reviews about Apex Nails before going there yesterday and thought everything about it sounded just fine. I was in a hurry and didn't want to deal with Green Hills traffic to go to my regular nail salon so I stopped by here. There was honestly nothing about it I liked about the manicure I walked out with. Hairs in the polish (ew) (I noticed this as I was walking out and they fixed the nails in question), cuticles looked worse than they did before I went, uneven polish (some nails were barely painted, others were very dark)... Everything just looked bad. The lady doing my nails was very nice though. The actual place is just plain old and ugly. Looks like one of the sketchy nail salons on the east side of town I accidentally went to a couple years ago. I won't make the mistake of coming here again. read more

Apex Nails is nearby my home and I pop in based off of pure convenience. They do a solid job for a fair price and are efficient with service too. However, when I treat my tired hands and feet twice a month to a much anticipated manicure and pedicure, I prefer to feel a bit more pampered. Some of the other salons and spas in town offer up a glass of wine, better foot massage, and with a more posh environment for this exhausted gal. The little things make a difference... Love Apex! Their hours are wonderful, open at 9a and on Sundays too. The staff is always helpful and courteous and they pay great detail to your mani and pedi. Highlights: 1) Walk ins are welcome and appointments are taken - the best of both worlds! 2) The staff usually remembers your face (if not your name) 3) I smudged a nail 30 minutes after I left a few months ago. I went back the next day and they fixed it, no problem and no charge! 4) They ensure each nail is fully painted (all the way to the cuticle and all around the sides) Regular manis are $15 and pedis are $20. A shellac is $35 but is one and half times longer than a regular mani and of course you don't have to worry about chips, smudges or anything else for 3 weeks! LOVE Shellac. TERRIBLE, JUST TERRIBLE. I went with two friends yesterday around 4:40 for a manicure. Granted that they close at 5, we would have been okay if they tell us no it was too late. But they sat us down, and my manicurist RUSHED through the entire service. There was still lotion on my arms when she said she was done. Then the horror of the actual nail painting, it was just HORRIBLE. A 10 year old could do a better paint job! Then there were bubbles forming in the paint and I've had it, I asked she redo a few nails, because it's just unacceptable. Immediately, she starts being extremely RUDE, and starts talking in Vietnamese to her coworkers, of course, about me! So the second repaint was even WORSE. I will NEVER come back to this establishment. They don't seem to care about customer service, or even know how to do a good job on your nails. No beverages offered either. Made me pay upfront. Worst dip manicure that I have ever received. I had to go back and have two nails redone after only 4 days due to chipping. I went in with long healthy natural nails. The manicurist cut my nails too short and filed them crooked. My nails were soaked for too long in acetone and over filed with the drill that hit my skin several times. It is going to take a month or two for my nails to recover from visiting this salon. I will never go back and I hope that this post saves someone the waste of time and money that I have spent here as well as the damage to their nails. read more

You can get your toes painted, but you won't get an actual pedicure. I've been coming here on and off for over 5 years. Used to spend lots of money on full sets and fills and many more pedicures. I decided to avoid thunderstorms and rush hour after work so stopped by after having not been here for about six months. I walked in, no wait. 7 technicians on the floor and a couple people after me were quickly taken to start their services. I'm pretty sure the price for a basic pedicure has gone up. Ok fine . But since when does a $30 pedicure only take 15 minutes?!? Most pedicure I get monthly last at minimum twice that long. My rough spots were barely scrubbed, just going through the motion. I wanted to get a pedicure today to treat myself after my cross country move. Also I'm just tooling around all day with nothing to do so it seemed like a good way to waste an hour. When I walked in I was immediately instructed to pick my color. They have every color under the sun including off the beaten track colors like glowing blues and yellows. Once I picked the color, I was whisked to a massage chair and plopped my feet in the water. I will agree that the magazine selection left something to be desired, but I still got a trash gossip rag to read so no complaints. They had TVs on to the Food Channel too which was nice since I was hungry! I got the basic spa pedicure which did include some rubbing the lotion on the skin, hot towels, and some light scrubbing. Then of course an excellent paint job. This service was $25 and took about 30-45 minutes. They had other options that included more (seemed like one of them said sea salt scrub or something?) and went up to $30 and $40. Definitely not as cheap as the places I've been in Dallas, but not really breaking the bank either. Looks like they also offer all sorts of manicures as well including acrylic nails. They take credit cards which is nice since so many do not. And I was excited that someone said they were open on Sunday, but a sign on the door says that they are not open (anymore?). Overall a decent pedicure at a decent price that is close to the house and didn't seem too overwhelmingly packed out in the afternoon. read more

Don't waste your money. I usually go here for a quick eyebrow and lip wax. This time I decided to get my nails done. I should've looked more closely at the pricing. Apparently they charge extra to do you cuticles and they do it after your manicure, which does not make any sense. Any time I get a manicure it is always include and its before they start painting your nails. Also I got the dip powder which I usually like but after getting home I realized there is glue stuck underneath my nails. Very uncomfortable. I will never go back to apex nails. read more

I came for a mid-level pedicure, and was slightly surprised my tech cut my toenails with what seemed like cuticle trimmers? I didn't think much of it until I got into bed and felt my scraggly big toes catching on the sheets (wow uncomfortable feeling) Upon inspection I noticed both toes were not trimmed evenly under the polish nor filed smoothly. After a few more nights I had it and had to end up cutting my nails down to get rid of the scraggle. They ended up looking looking like a 5 year old cut my toenails, they were all lopsided and goofy. I dunno, I don't like giving mediocre reviews but I feel like trimming nails evenly should be a basic skill and there are many more nail places in Nashville to try. read more

Had an excellent mani-pedi here with my friend Sarah P. after work one day. One week out my toes still look great and my fingers are only starting to chip. Very friendly service, reasonable prices ($40 for basic mani-pedi), new massage pedi chairs, and flat screens playing the Food Network (obviously one of my favorites...felt right at home). The place was very clean (love that you could see where their equipment is sterilized), the staff was very attentive and I feel like they did an excellent job. I'll be back. Never again. I came here out of convenience and it was the most rushed manicure I've ever had. I even had to ask her to clean up the edges of my nails after she painted them and some polish got on my skin. Com on! That's a standard everywhere you go. When I arrived there was only one other in the salon getting a pedicure as it was just past their opening time. As soon as others started walking in the door, I could feel and see my service being rushed. I was in the chair for all of 15 minutes. Now I know, don't pay $18 here for what was basically a polish change when I can pay $15 at my usual places for a nice, relaxing 25+ minute service. I have them an extra star because my nails look decent right after I got them done. The real test is how long they last. read more

Unfortunately, this was an absolutely awful experience. I've gone three times - the first two manicures were okay - always rushed and bubbles formed under the polish, but it was cheap. They were affordable, which is the main reason for my repeat visits. Sadly, the third time I went my manicure was not only rushed but completely messy. They didn't remove all of my old nail polish and painted over it, rushed through the service and cut my cuticles either too deeply or not at all. The nail polish was painted on so thick that my manicure was absolutely ruined at 9pm that night, a whole six hours after my appointment. The woman who did my nails was rude and didn't respond when I thanked her. She seemed angry and treated each of her customers abysmally. It was thoroughly disappointing. I'm sad to give this place a bad review. The location and price is right, but feeling devalued as a customer? Paying $25 with a good tip for an awful manicure? Love this shop! Always do a great job. I've only ever had gel manicures done but love the attention to detail and how my nails don't chip! My nails last at least 3 weeks and the only reason I get them redone is because they grow out. Very impressed with the quality. Wish they had more neutral colors but not a huge ordeal. So I went here with a girlfriend before our annual beach trip(pilgramage) and it's a nice little salon. They offer you free water or sodas which is nice. The tables are pretty close together which comes in handy if you are there to chit chat. Maybe not so much if you are trying to get your nails done and read smut and close chair neighbor is talking on their cell phone to someone hard of hearing ( at least this is what I tell myself). After trying probably 5 other nail salons in Nashville, I've been coming to Apex for over 2 years. I have had probably every technician they have at this point and I have zero complaints! They are all SO friendly and very detail oriented. The owner/manager usually comes by to critique and make sure the technician is doing a good job. I have never left Apex unhappy. The color selection for gel is great, but it is a bit lacking for dip - that being said, I still give 5 stars because I usually go with neutral colors anyway so it's not a big deal for me.
