I typically don't give anything a chance that is below 4-5 stars when I'm somewhere new just in case, but I didn't look beforehand, I was just hungry. They definitely deserve more stars. The food is fantastic, it's not greasy, it just tastes good! The portions are generous and the staff is incredibly friendly. It's worth going! My only complaint and star is it took a while to get. Onion rings, fries and sweet potato fries were disappointing. Looked good, but tasted bland. Breading on the onion rings is an ugh. All in all, a quick easy lunch. read more

My doordash delivery was great tonight. My cheeseburger was warm, fries were warm and fresh and the best thing ever was the baklava shake that hadn't melted en route. Granted delivery didn't have to go far but sometimes traffic and pedestrians can take you longer. One thing they didn't do was hook me up with fry sauce like the usual but fries and the shake went perfectly. The salads in the past are fresh and huge for the price. The pastrami hamburger is fantastic but very heavy even a Jr. But definitely try it! Fries are ok. Now the shake! Baklava was exactly that with bits and pieces all mixed up. I spent $30 on 3 sandwiches for my group at work, and 1 order of fries, If you want more than one Fry Sauce, they charge you for it. The most expensive burgers in the area, and they do that. I was looking for a quick, cheap bite to eat early in Salt Lake City, but didn't have time to go to a typical diner. I saw a breakfast platter sign at this burger place decided to stop in. Aside from your typical fast food breakfast sandwiches, they also had some made to order breakfast platters. It took a minute to prepare after ordering, but it was certainly worth the wait. I've never had this much breakfast food for $10 in my life. The Mt. Apollo should definitely be shared with two people, because it's literally a mountain of hash browns with you choice of meat, three eggs, and cheese. Lunch time downtown and since bae and I couldn't decide on anything specific, Apollo it was. Nothing wrong with the choice, but I hate when neither of us has a taste for something specific. I ordered an Apollo burger, a burger with pastrami, and onion rings. The burger was cooked well and the burger was full of pastrami. Definitely not your couple of pieces of pastrami, it was full and made the burger as a whole juicy. The onion rings were okay, not burnt, but just okay. Good amount for the price. Also, ranch over fry sauce any day lol! Bae had the NY steak sandwich, fries and a strawberry shake. His comments - it was good lol I tried the strawberry shake and it wasn't bad at all. Served with whip cream and a maraschino cherry on top. I've been to a few Apollo Burger places before and they all seem to be consistent and taste the same. Place was clean and employees had masks on. Service was fine, cashier was polite. Make sure to clear your table after you eat as it isn't a pick up after you place even though they bring the food to your table when you dine in (not a complaint, just an FYI). We stood at the counter for 5 minutes while the girl working here didn't even acknowledge us. There was only one other customer in the place so she wasn't busy. There is a computer screen you can order from and I guess she was waiting for us to do that. Zero communication. Like we came here just to watch her cook. You have to get a code to use the bathroom. It kind of is hard to write this review because the people who work here are so nice. Really always. I frequent this place often because my dog loves the food. But I just keep trying to figure this out. Miles of pastrami piled on top of a beef burger for human consumption. It just grosses me out. I should add that my dad loves the place. Apollo Burger makes a solid burger for a good price. If you haven't been before, the main item to try is the "Apollo Burger". It's got pastrami. I always enjoy the pastrami for the first half of my burger, and usually pick it off the last half, but a lot of people really like it. The cheeseburger is excellent as well. The fries are some of my favorite. Dipped in fry sauce, they are really good and they give you a lot of them. Shakes are pretty good as well. They also have Impossible Burgers if you're a vegan, or eating with one. I tried it out the other day and was actually pretty happy with it. If you need a quick burger, you really can't go wrong with Apollo. I wish they would stay up a little later than they do, especially where they are located just right next to Quarters Arcade. The good is ok, however my food was served in a styrofoam take home box even though I ate inside the restaurant. The food was so hot it melts the styrofoam which probably is not healthy for you to eat. I'm sure I t because of "COVID." I really think Management needs to relook this as burnt styrofoam touching your food is not healthy. Until they put food either on paper or real plates, I won't be eating here any more. It has been years since I've eaten here, so I had to take some time ordering. I ordered a Utah burger combo with fries. I also got a side of mozzarella sticks. The burger as described, was supposed to have bacon, pastrami, gyro meat, veggies and Apollo sauce... The meal was actually tasty, but I wondered why my burger seemed small. I assumed that there was not gyro meat after a couple bites, but that third bite-there we go! I guess my only issue if any, is that I hoped for more, and this is the same way when I buy gyros and/or souvlaki. The ladies that were working today were awesome. My order was accurate, still hot when I got back to the office, and more filling than I thought. I will come back soon enough. We walked in 30 degree weather for 15 minutes and get there at 1:40 AM (they close at 2 AM). Not going to lie I was super impressed. I went in with very low expectations but I wanted a breakfast that was more than just carbs. First impression was that the place was super clean and well kept. I really liked the "swirl" of booths in the center and that they were super high backed so you basically had your own little private area. The kitchen area was immaculate - granted it was only a few minutes after they opened - and all the ingredients were prepped and looked fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered their breakfast platter which came with two eggs, a choice of meat, toast and hash browns. They did scrambled egg whites for me with no additional charge which is a major plus in my books. Meat options were bacon, sausage (what I got and they were yummy - you get three small links), ham and gyro. Next time I'm trying the gyro. I will say the English muffin was slightly rubbery but that was most likely a product of being put in a Styrofoam container and essentially steamed as I walked to work. The hash browns were plentiful and nice and crispy. Everything was super greasy but that was to be expected. What really impressed me what that they took time to plate it with a nice cut orange. It didn't add anything to the meal per say but it made me smile and took it up a notch in the fast food hierarchy for me. I will definitely be going back. I don't always eat red meat but sometimes I have dreams about hamburgers and that's when I know my iron is getting dangerously low and it's time for a juicy hamburger. I woke up early in the morning after said dream and needed something fast. So, I ordered a double cheeseburger, corndog, fries, and onion rings and they were all delivered to my doorstep by 8:30 am. Talk about a hearty breakfast huh! The burger was AMAZING. The bun did not fall apart even though the two 1/3 lb patties made the burger massive. Enough onions, lettuce, and tomato to support the two patties too, which I love. You can't put the same amount of veggies on a double 1/3 lb cheeseburger that you do on a regular 1/3 lb cheeseburger, you just can't. The corndog took me back to my childhood and it was heaven. Crispy and crunchy outside, soft fluffy inside, yummy all beef hot dog... woo! So good Fries are the thicker kind and I wish they were thinner and crispier but that's just a personal preference and not a dig to the restaurant. Onion rings were a bit too overdone and looked too dark to have been made fresh- seemed like they were made using last night's burnt oil. That's the only reason they don't get a solid 5 stars. We went there after going out to the bars and it was an ok experience. You can never expect a restaurant to be performing at its best right when it was about to close, but I still expected it to be a bit better. Most of the tables were dirty and we had to wipe the one we sat on off ourselves. Service was a bit on the slower side as well. I was disappointed that at a certain point during the evening the do not serve milkshakes! I would have preferred to try that because my bacon cheeseburger was not the best. It tased too salty and greasy. There was also way too much buns. I personally do not think I will be returning, but they will always have business as a late night restaurant for people to go to after drinking. read more
