    General Tso combo
    Kim G.

Apple China sits on the corner of the Adams Farm shopping center close to the train tracks. You can order by phone or online via the Beyond Menu app. I like this spot because it is convenient. I like to order online and utilize their drive-thru. Their drive-thru is a feature I love. At times there is a wait in the drive-thru, but if you give yourself enough time between placing the order and pick up, that will make it quicker you (and everyone). Of course, you can't use your monster truck in the drive-thru and if you happen to have a monster truck, there is ample parking. The food is decent. I had the General Tso's chicken combo. It came with rice and a veggie egg roll. The chicken was cut in smaller pieces and you get a more crunchier taste...not so meaty. The crab Rangoon is also on the crunchy side with not much filling. You get more wrap when you take a bite. The chicken wings are flavorful...a tad greasy. If you need sauce, you may want to ask. I don't think they offer it freely. They offer a Japanese and lunch menu. So, there is a variety in case your friends or family can't decide. This is more of a take out spot. It is a small restaurant with maybe 4 tables inside. I'm not sure if they allow dine-in, but even if they did...I'm not sure I would.

    Bourbon chicken veggies and rice

I didn't expect much based off of reviews but tried any way. Everything was bland not flavorful at all. I could've went to McDonald's for cheaper better food. They gave me all these veggies barley any meat disappointed but not surprised.

My new favorite Chinese restaurant. The food was great, I'll definitely be going again soon.

Orange chicken and shrimp fried rice

I called to ask if I could order half an order bourbon chicken and half an order orange chicken (totally willing to pay an up charge) and the lady yelled at me saying she couldn't do it. Then at the drive thru (the only way you can get your food) the lady was very short with me. After I started eating my food I noticed that orange chicken was more fried batter than chicken. Do not recommend.

Vegetables with garlic sauce, vegetable soup and vegetable egg foo young.

This review is a combination of my last visit and the visit I had today. Last visit, I ordered the vegetable egg foo young, vegetables with garlic sauce, and vegetable soup. The vegetable egg foo young was good, and came with a good amount of dipping sauce. The vegetables with garlic sauce were also good and had a typical Chinese garlic sauce on it. The vegetable soup was nothing but a clear light broth with vegetables. I like the vegetables as they are crunchy and fresh tasting. Today, me and my friend got a to go order. I ordered the vegetarian delight, Szechuan chicken with no breading, a spring roll, and my friend ordered a steak and shrimp hibachi. The spring roll was actually pretty good, although it was small. It tasted homemade. The vegetarian delight was pretty good, and the vegetables were fresh and crisp, but it contained no water chestnuts or baby corn, which was okay for me. I like the rice here, it is a bit smaller grain size and it's pretty good. They package the rice together in one container. The Szechuan chicken was just okay, it lacked a bit of zing in my opinion. My friend's hibachi was a disaster. He only got 3 shrimp, and five little chunks of dry steak, most of which were chewy. They gave him mostly rice. I had a feeling he shouldn't have ordered hibachi here. If I return, I'm sticking strictly to vegetable dishes, probably the vegetables and garlic sauce, which was the best thing I've had here. The best part about this place is the vegetables, because they aren't overcooked. I'd just stay away from the hibachi all together.

This is the giant piece of chunky beef that nearly choked me out of my mind. Wonder what kind of animal it is...

Another disappointing Chinese restaurant in Gboro. Bland, boring and small serving. But it's cheap. Guess I got what I paid for.

Best we've had yet in the Triad area by a long shot. First off, the online ordering process is super easy, and the estimated time for pick up was spot on. Highly recommend ordering online beforehand. The place was slammed, packed in like sardines on a Saturday evening. Everyone waiting for orders, and even if you don't order prior, the wait would still be worth it. This place was a well oiled machine, everyone knowing exactly what to do and how to pump out stellar authentic Chinese food quickly and efficiently. Flavorful dishes, authentic spices and sauces, juicy meat, perfectly cooked noodles and rice...you name it, this place does it right. Crispy scallion chicken is the bomb! Each and every other dish we had was top notch, including the pork egg foo young, chicken lo mein, house special fried rice (chicken pork and shrimp). And can't leave out the perfectly fried pork egg rolls...taste overload. Can't wait to come back and try more of this amazing and truly authentic Chinese joint.

Everything is delicious, but make sure you get enough of their scratch made pork egg rolls to have one with you meal, and one for the air fryer to go with your leftovers. They are addicting. Try the crispy scallion chicken, along with your favorites. Golden Wok forever!

Not sure how old the interior photos are on their Yelp reviews but looks better in person. Dude running the place was waiting on tables, answering the phones, taking orders at the front, bossing people around in the back and bringing the food out of the kitchen and serving it HOT! He was a one man show today and killing it! Plus he was so nice. About the food. I ordered an Eggroll and Curry Chicken with fried rice. The eggroll was not the best I've had but it was good. It tasted fresh and no signs of the red pork that you sometimes get (thumbs up).The Curry Chicken sauce was really good. The chicken was nice and tender, the vegetables were fresh and crisp. My only complaint would be to not serve green peppers with the yellow curry sauce. It's my own personal preference because peppers give me heartburn. I will go back for sure to try some other dishes and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for relaxing ambiance and fresh, delicious Chinese cuisine.

We didn't order them this time, but they're definitely on the list for a future visit. Everything we did get was packed with flavor. The crab rangoons and pork dumplings arrived hot and fresh, and the Dan Dan noodles, orange chicken, chicken chow fun, and garlic beef were all very tasty. One of the biggest positives here is consistency of flavor, something that's been surprisingly hard to find with a lot of Chinese takeout spots we've tried in the area. The only real miss for us is that egg foo young isn't on the menu, which my wife loves and always hopes to find. That aside, this is a super solid takeout option for flavorful, authentic, and fresh Chinese food.

In all the years we have been getting takeout, never had an issue with the accuracy of our orders. They have nice sized crispy breaded wings. Their fried wontons and crab rangoons are also good picks. I chuck them in the air fryer because the sweaty containers do make them a bit flat by the time you make it home. Egg rolls are what you expect. Hunan chicken is not very spicy but has a good flavor. Lo meins are good, too. Food cost are up everywhere. 2 combo plates, small order of wings, and wontons set me back $42. The extra $4.00 upcharge on the combo for house lo mein versus chicken was unexpected (dinner combo is already $10.75) but I didn't ask and the girl answering the phone didn't offer so that's on me. Lesson learned. Next time, I will stick with the chicken. If you liked Mr. Wonton back in the 90's you will like them, too. Similar cooking style and portions.

But last night…read moreI needed something quick, ordered on DoorDash, and I'm really glad I gave them a chance. Everything I ordered was actually solid. The lo mein? Chef's kiss. The noodles were cooked perfectly, nice and saucy, and they even offered it spicy--which I've never been offered before. The meat was tender and well-seasoned. Personally, I wouldn't mind a little more cabbage in it, but that's just preference. The fried chicken wings really surprised me. Usually I end up throwing wings in the air fryer to crisp them up more--but not these. They were already crispy, fresh, and flavorful straight out the container. Now let me talk about the sweet and sour chicken... I've NEVER been a fan. I always thought it looked too breaded and soggy, so I avoided it for years. When I opened my order and realized that's what I got, I was low-key annoyed but decided to try it anyway. And wow--that ended up being my favorite item. The sauce was perfect, and once I dipped it myself, it completely changed my mind about sweet and sour chicken. The soup was also really good--super flavorful with that rich broth and those sesame oil "gold spots" on top (you know it's good when you see that). The only thing I wasn't big on was the plain fried rice--but that's more of a personal preference since I usually don't go for plain fried rice anyway. Next time I'll try the house fried rice. Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised. This was a great experience, especially for a last-minute order. I'll definitely be ordering again--and next time I'll come back with pictures because this was a spur-of-the-moment decision. China Cafe, you proved me wrong
