I came here due to the Touch Disease - where the Touch IC connections are not touching the logic board correctly, usually happens if the phone is slightly bent (like you slept on it or put it in your back pocket). I already went to my carrier/target to see if I can get a better deal, sadly they'll over charge me for something that was out of my control and I was already dealing with the installed payments. The Genius that helped me gave me two options, and I had to think over it. Did some more phone calls with AT&T and Target (if you have insurance with them, talk to them to see if you can get a lower price then $800). I ended coming back to apple for my replacement. I've done my research and knew what I was talking about (if you have an internal issue or anything do your research before hand so you won't be surprised with the outcomes). The options they gave me where: 1. Full Swap my phone for $329 + tax + 90 day warranty ( this is the price if you do not have apple care or warranty) - Same Model (color, space size, etc) 2. Trade in the phone and get $250 apple credit that can be used for any phones (can get a upgrade model, downgrade, whatever you want basically) I settled with the first option and the Genius was very helpful and patient with all the questions I had. In total I had to pay $359 with tax. I would like to thank Eric who helped me set up my new phone and providing great service! Note: Touch Disease is common in IPHONE6+, I already called and went to some of the local 3rd party places (houtson) to see if they can repair it - they will refuse to do it because they have to completely change the logic board OR solder the Touch IC connectors down which is a 50/50 chance of it working (they refused to quote). There are some online stores (ONLY) they can provide the service but will charge you $100-200 + Shipping to them + Shipping to you (time wait is around 1-2 months) Anyways great service here, do your research before hand :) read more

BUYER BEWARED!!! This store will try to scam you so they can make their numbers. I came here to get an iPhone with my carrier upgrade and was told by apple and Verizon that I can do it in store. When I got there, the sales rep and the manager play games with my account stating that if I use Verizon plan I would be paying for 2 phones and the best way to get my new phone was with the iUp and add Applecare on top of my insurance I already have. Trusting Apple I went ahead and did it because it was the only way I didn't have to pay for 2 phones on one line. After I got home I figured out that not only I am still paying for 2 phones I am paying for 2 protection plans and Verizon won't be taking back my old phone. So I got screwed majorly. I had to go to another Apple store the next day to get the real story, they reversed and refunded everything and did my upgrade the proper way and even had a shipping label to turn back my old phone to Verizon. I understand store trying to make numbers and sales tactics but lying and saying I would have to pay for two phones just to make my buy something else is down right dirty. I expected more out of Apple but I guess they all the same. So please do your research before you go there, or even better avoid that store at all cost and go to another Apple store where they care about you and not just their own pockets. read more

Drove a couple hours for new batteries for our phones. You all know the story behind Apple slowing older phones to preserve battery life. Ours were slow and not holding charges. Also not gonna pay $1000 for a new iPhone. Reception at the store was subpar. My husband has a hearing problem and greeter spoke too fast for him to follow. Was also a bit condescending: we were told to connect to store WiFi, make sure phones were backed up, and turn off find my phone. Because of his hearing difficulties, hubby could not follow, greeter took over his phone, said his photos weren't backed up (different service) and then told him he had to turn off find phone himself. She couldn't do it. After she had manipulated the phone to navigate to it! We were told to wait till another woman had followed procedures then told to walk to 4th table where someone dressed like her would help. Nope. Not acknowledged at all. I interrupted an employee translating for another customer, was told she was only there to translate, and got the attention of another employee only to have a 3rd employee say someone else was his next customer. Really? There were 20 customers around that table and 3 employees with one only available to translate. Who knew what order to follow? The lady with us said she had an appointment! Not gonna be honored I think. So. I have an iPhone 6. It is significantly slower than just 2 months ago. If Apple is going to play its customers so shabbily as to slow down our phones , and then treat customers shabbily again at their Genius Bar, I think it's time to upgrade to another phone. Samsung? Bought a new IPad & had it delivered to the store because I don't trust our local post office to deliver it to my home. I walked in with paper work & was sent to the head of the line--no waiting for my order to be brought to me. Stayed in the store & set it up, downloaded all my info from the cloud before I left the store. Very pleased with this part of my visit. I did have a question about a new function on maps that will find your car in the parking lot when you can't remember where you parked. They were not able to tell me why it wouldn't work on my iPhone. When I got home I googled the function & found it only works on iPhone 6 or higher & I still have a 5S. Had an appointment and waited about 10 minutes after checking in. The charge on my phone hadn't been holding the charge for a few days so I needed to figure out what was going on. They hooked it up and said the battery was fine. He said I needed to go home, erase the data and basically start all over. That's fine but I knew that wouldn't work. I asked him what I do when that doesn't work and of course he didn't have an answer. A few hours later I went to Verizon and got a new phone and wish Apple could of given me a better reason why my phone wasn't holding a charge. This Sugar Land Apple Store store is managed very well and the staff are consistently professional, courteous and knowledgeable. No one is perfect but every single time i've been here i've seen the staff work very well together to meet my needs or solve problems. Unfortunately, I can't remember all the names of the folks i've dealt with but most recently I spoke to Kage (store manager) and Cole and each were very friendly, helpful and efficient in how they took care of my questions and needs. Worst customer service ever! Was told to step aside when no one was near me when asked to speak with a manager and spoke with the manager and he was condescending about the reason why iPhone batteries were discounted - I don't care - I just want my battery fixed. So, unless I have an appointment (which they are all booked for a week) I can't pre order my battery for an actual appointment. Yet, I can walk in everyday in the morning to see if they have a battery without an appointment - what a waste of time and poor management! The manager was rude and did not help at all. read more

They were supposed to change the keyboard on myacbook pro for free in 4 days. On day 4 nobody called me so I called them and they said that my laptop was not done and some manager was supposed to call me later to update me with NEW date. Nobody called me so I called again and they told me that they need +2 days. I know they had parts because they even showed them to me! I'm getting $65 per hour so it was cheaper to buy a new laptop than try to fix this one and I'm still loosing money! I will go there tomorrow and take it even it's not fIxed! This is my last macbook! So my wife and I walked in wanting to buy a Apple Watch 4 and some wireless headphones. So this young Hispanic girl around 18-19 years old helped us. Long story short she was catching an attitude with my wife and being very rude to her. I was appalled at her behavior. We had a lot of questions of course on the products but even then she was probably stereotyping us thinking we weren't gonna buy anything that we were just window shopping. This is unacceptable behavior and will not ever step foot in this Apple store. Every time I go to this place it gets worse. $1000 for a phone and they don't even set it up for you. Got handed off to three different people and each of them was worse. The last guy walked away mid-sentence to go help someone else. Finally got fed up and went to the AT&T store and the guy got me up and running in less than 30 minutes. Easily transferred my old data and everything. You used to go into the Apple store and get great service. Associates were knowledgeable about the products and provided seamless and helpful solutions. Not the case anymore. Will be buying directly from the carrier from now on. Not making that mistake again. read more

I would have given this store a higher rating based on my second visit, but the first visit was really a one star. the 'genius' who worked on my computer the first day merely plugged it up and because the problem did not materialize told me it was 'ok' and sent me home with it. hooked it back up at home, put it online and there was the same old problem. the 'genius' never put it online. For anyone worried about going into this apple store because the staff will be pretentious and uninterested, I'm sorry to say you are correct, and should not doubt yourself. Yesterday, we took in my mother's phone. There was a 2hr wait (which we expected) so we were put on the wait list, and decided to leave then come back. Once our appointment came around, we still waited another 20 minutes. I could go into a long detail about the entire experience, but I'll just agree with the other negative reviews. This particular store only cares about money. They do not care about the customer or have any kind of customer service attitudes. None of them have any "genius" solutions. I made clear we were not cloud users (security risks) and that we were worried about the pictures and contacts on my mom's phone being lost. They assured us that there would be a backup ready for the new phone, but not in a confident manner, more in a stop-talking-let-me-follow-my-solves-all-checklist manner. We were on a time crunch and were already very late. The guy helping us got bored or annoyed and passed us on to another staff member (even the staff member said he had no idea what was going on with this phone, as we were just handed off to him). The new phone was brought out, they took our old phone without any information about the data transfer. Lastly, the staff member got irritated that he was helping 5 other people and kept getting us confused, making us log in over and over again. When we stopped him and made him listen to our questions about the data, he said there was no way to retrieve it because there was no backup and their computers didn't sync. At this point we had already paid and he walked away. We decided maybe we were at fault for being on the time crunch. My mom and husband went back this morning with our mac air to sync the information, at which point they said the old phone had been swiped and shipped already. I understand that these things are sometimes inevitable, and we make our own choices when it comes to tricky technology. However, I'm sure they've seen these problems before. Instead of saying "hey why don't you come back tomorrow with your laptop if the pictures and contacts are that important, let's not risk it", they just swiped our card and told us to be on our way. Everything was one running joke to the know it all staff. Never again at this apple store, and never again with letting the "geniuses" run things. read more

Today we "had too many" to service and they literally told me to go to their website open a support incident and they would call me. After a 45min call and 2 transfers he said I could go through education support... Still unresolved issues. Last time I'm visiting this store for anything Apple. Shame on you guys. The Apple store is always packed regardless of what time you come. I arrived 10 minutes before the store was open, and there was already a line formed outside the store. I came here recently to have an iPhone battery changed, and although the service was friendly, I was disappointed with the wait time. I came in about a month ago prior to this to have my phone battery checked and the battery had to be ordered. That was fine with me, but once the battery came in I received an email that basically stated I had one week to get the battery changed or the battery will be released to someone else. The email clearly stated I needed to make an appointment. Tell me how fair is that when the earliest available appointment was past the one week/time that they will hold the battery for me?!? So I took my chances and came in without an appointments and what do you know!?!? It seems regardless if you had an appointment or not the wait time was about 2 hours or so! Ridiculous! It was just upsetting that I'm only given a SHORT amount of time to have my battery replaced before its given to someone else. read more

All Apple stores are the same except for the people. This location has some great people that help you out a lot. I dont like shopping at Apple stores because they are over priced, but I wanted a Laptop and I went there. Upon learning that the special deal for students ended just days ago (the one withe every laptop purchase you get a free ipod) After expressing my sadness they went and got their manager, after talking to him he went to the back and said, "here take this ipod". The customer support here is amazing and I am happy to go here again with any issue I have. read more

I dropped my MacBook Pro off on Monday to be serviced. I get a call today which is Thursday that they are starting service on my MacBook. I was shocked, but asked if it would be done today, the guy said yes. Received another call at around 1530 telling me I had liquid damage in my machine. There is no sticky area at all in any crevices or openings to the machine. Also I keep the machine in a case in a studio. No beverages are allowed in there because of the equipment. This is the second time this has happened to me at that store. I recently moved here from a previous state and forgot all about this place. I was never shown the liquid damage on my own machine. It was only pictures that I was allowed to see on their iPad. Also my hard drive was out of the system. That's very strange. read more

I brought in my iPhone 6 because the phone kept turning off. I was asked to restore it and if it happened again to bring it in. I did as asked when it happened it again and the staff guy and manager called me a liar. This store basically wants your money. They don't honor the manufacturers 1-year warranty. I love the Apple Store in Sugar Land. I've heard that out of all the Apple stores in the Houston area that this one has the best and has the quickest service. My laptop cord died this weekend and the store was PACKED. They only had a few appointments but within minutes they had our computer up and running again. The employees are always helpful and really seem to love their job. This is one of four times we've had to get service for our computer and each time the repair is done the same day! Amazing! Before I had a Mac, I always had a Compaq. When that computer broke down, I had to wait for a box to be mailed to me, so that I could mail my computer back for repair. That was not acceptable for me!! Thank goodness we have this Apple Store so close to home. As far as the prices...I've learned that you get what you pay for!! read more

Praise God for Discover fraud dept as they contacted us immediately as it was suspicious that the deal was done over 30 mins on 5 different transactions with the same credit card number, ask yourself this... HOW DID THIS HAPPEN????? The manager (who was QUITE RUDE) said "it is not our policy to turn away a sale if the customer does not have identification". Watch yourselves people! He even took care of the charges, which was very generous. Con: The wait when I came in at 10:30am for a walk-in appointment was about 2.5 hours, which was a bit longer than I expected. read more

I arrived at 10:55am because the website said they opened at 11am only to be confronted by a truly rude store manager announcing that they aren't opening until 12noon. When a woman said that the website said 11 the manager said "we're not abiding by holiday hours". What an awful experience.
