Repair was on the expensive side, but that was mostly due to their having to replace the entire top piece (the lid with screen), as the screen went out....about $500, but that's about what it costs, or more. Nov 8: Called over to ask for repair estimates for an old Mac that was damaged by my son, it's a long story lol Anyway, I spoke with Ahmed, he took the time to explain my options and he did it with respect. My iMac was having serious problems and I tried all that I could do to fix it but to no avail. Luckily I found Apple Fix Pros and dropped the computer off for repair with Ahmed. The prices he quoted for diagnostics/repair were very reasonable and he seemed certain that they could fix the issues I was having. It turned out that I needed a new hard drive due to some after market RAM I installed failed and caused the issues. They not only installed the new ssd hard drive but also updated to Sonoma which was not expected but very appreciated. Ahmed and Apple Fix Pros saved the day!! My way too old desktop finally died with a failed power supply and mother board. Ahmed was able to recover my important data on both drives. Then after my external 4T drive stopped working, he moved the data onto a USB 1T portable drive and told me not worry about it. He also upgraded an old Lenovo X201 with a 500GB SSD and a fresh load of Windows 10 which saved me from having to go purchase a new system (for now). Ahmed really knows computers and by far was the best customer service I've had getting a computer repaired. I took the to Apple's Arden location for repairs. There I had a long wait and what seemed like a robotic interaction with a rep who could barely look me in the and seemed to do a lot of mumbling only to quote me 1/4 the purchase cost of the for a simple keyboard repair. Fortunately, I found Ahmed at Apple Fix Pros instead. I called and was able to come in the same day for a consult. He was friendly, welcoming, and professional. He tested my keyboard. Explained the problem to me and gave me three (3) repair options with very reasonable quotes that fit my budget. I'm happy with the response time, speed of repair and even the cost. Location isn't terrible. It's fairly close to the freeway. My MacBook Air battery wasn't keeping a charge for even a day. Apple Fix Pro is fantastic! I brought my dead 2017 Macbook Pro after leaving it out in the rain. Another shop had opened the case and still had no idea what components had failed. Ahmed diagnosed the failure within an hour and had replaced the parts at a very reasonable price. The repair was half the cost of a new laptop and works like a brand new machine. As a bonus, he informed me that my OS was drastically out of date (genuinely not certain how that happened) and that they would update it for free. This is a bigger deal than it sounds... updating an OS that old throws up many errors and takes special handling.
