Great place for rice rolls! Their portions are small, perfect for small eaters like me. I highly recommend the BBQ pork rice roll, it was my favorite. The beef brisket rice roll was okay but a bit of bland. We also tried the vegetables (choy sum) with oyster sauce, they were served in whole stems that were quite difficult to eat. We had to ask the staff to cut them into smaller pieces for us. LOL Will be back to try other items on their menu

MIngKee Deli was okay. They specialize in rice noodle rolls and congee, which is what we ordered. Their website says that their boat congee and rice noodle rolls are famous in China. I ordered the food takeout. The congee was bland. It needed a little salt. The rice noodle roll was thin and kind of square. My wife didn't like it. She prefers her rice noodle rolls like at dim sum restaurants. Not her thing. Service was good. It was difficult for me to see the restaurant as I passed by. They were okay. Just not what my wife likes.

We first came when they were in grand opening and were really not very impressed with the texture of their rice rolls... we recently decided to give them another shot. Glad we did! They have reformulated their rice roll to have a better texture (though perhaps less "authentic" by using more than just rice). We tried a variety of food (chicken wings, rice noodles, steamed lotus rice, dim sum) and enjoyed it all. The only item we don't recommend is the porridge because it is too watery and rice too separated for our liking (but if that is the style of porridge you like, then you'll probably like it). They have also partnered with Local Cafe (next door) and BZZ Claypot to offer a (digital) gift card with bonus amounts.

Came for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. To start, the place was packed. They had an old-fashioned waitlist: slip of paper with a number. There were about 10 tables ahead of us, and we waited about 15 minutes, so honestly not too bad. The rice noodle rolls were great; I could tell it was their specialty. The turnip cake and curry fish balls also met my expectations, with the former being crispy and not too oily, and the latter having massive portions - the curry was literally overflowing. The highlight for me however was the chicken wings. Juicy, tender, and crispy. Flavor wise, there are some other locations that I prefer over this place, but the most certainly nailed the texture. I would return just for this. Next time I'm around for lunch, I will certainly hit up this spot again.

Comforting food for the cold winter weather. We came on a Saturday night. Luckily there was no wait. Menu and ordering is through their QR code. Beef brisket rice noodles: some pieces of the beef brisket were tender and some were not. It was very flavorful. Rice noodle was soft. Noodles needed more sauce as all the sauce was at the top and not mixed thoroughly to the bottom. Chicken cordyceps flower porridge: my first time trying cordyceps flower. It was interesting. Porridge was hot and soft but a bit bland. Service was average. Nothing to rave or complain about. Plenty of parking but it is share with other businesses in the plaza.

Read the other reviews for food. Mine will solely be for info I wish businesses were upfront about. This is my fight against hidden restaurant fee-flation and for price transparency. price as of 4/18/26 Extra service charges or fees (other than tax and tip): none Tip lowest default: electronic, 15% Allows bill split/itemize: N/A Fee transparency/fairness score: 4/5 NOTE: tip seems to be based off subtotal + tax

Usually see people waiting outside this place. Decided to give this a try when there was no line. We ordered the beef, shrimp and pork liver porridge The porridge consistency is good, however, the beef is a bit chewy and the pork liver isn't great. Only the shrimp is Ok. For the rice noodles, we got the Chinese donut wrapped in rice noodles but it's not good. Chinese donut is all soft and soagy. It doesn't taste fresh. The noodles are pretty thin but the whole dish doesn't taste good. The food is not warm either and the sauce is too salty. Very disappointing. Curry fish balls and pork skins is decent. The fish balls texture is bouncy. This seems to be the best dish out of all of them. We were happy that we got to try it without waiting for table but are disappointed that the porridge and rice roll noodles are not as good as we hoped for.

Been craving Cantonese congee so I checked out this place in Cupertino. It was not quite at the level I expected, but still a great spot to try if you want a hot Cantonese meal. The food is easy and comforting whether you dine in or get it to go. It is located inside a plaza with several restaurants and plenty of parking, and there are a few boba spots nearby so it is nice to walk around and grab a drink afterward.

Obviously, there are far more options to choose from, but when I think of what to eat when in Cupertino, Taiwanese food is always the first thing that comes to mind. In a not so distant second would be Chinese food. So, in that sense, it's not all that shocking to come across a spot like MingKee Deli (even if the food is closer to Cantonese compared to the comparatively spicier Chinese restaurants around town). However, this still felt like a total gem of a find! Between how late it was starting to get and how they just so happened to specialize in the exact thing we were craving (jook/congee), it was as if the world was bringing us all together! Now, while several of my fellow Yelpers have mentioned that parking in the complex can be a little tough, I've never had a problem immediately finding a space. That being said, both of my visits here were outside of peak dinner hours (after 8pm the first time, around 5pm the second), so I also might've just missed the dinner rush. Similarly, it wasn't all that busy inside both times I was here, which was great. You can order at the register by the door before taking a seat or you can order off your phone by scanning the QR code. As for the menu, it's not super varied (mostly made up of porridge, rice noodle rolls, and some dim sum items), but a lot of the dishes looked and sounded so enticing! -- PRESERVED EGG & PORK PORRIDGE...$10 This was terrific! I wasn't feeling great the first time I came here, but this really hit the spot - it was so warm and comforting. Plus, not only was it just tasty, but the consistency was perfect and it had a fair amount of pork and preserved egg in this too! -- SHRIMP RICE NOODLE ROLL...$8.50 Although the presentation may leave a bit to be desired (it looks like a messy pile), this was quite good! The noodles are very thin and look like they're just folded over, but they're still tender and the shrimp are juicy and plump. Yum! -- CHINESE DONUT...$3.50 Nothing amazing, but pretty solid. Sadly, it came out more warm than hot, but it was still decently crispy and soft on the inside. Plus, I liked that it wasn't all that oily either. -- BEEF BRISKET RICE NOODLE ROLL...$10.50 I assumed I would like this one better, but it actually wasn't as good as the shrimp roll. The sauce was super flavorful, but the noodles didn't absorb the flavors very well and the chunks of beef, while plentiful, could've been more tender. -- FISH PORRIDGE...$12 Not too shabby, but not as good as the Preserved Egg & Pork. Mostly, I just thought it would have had actual chunks of fish, as opposed to fish balls. That being said, the fish balls were actually pretty tasty - not sure if it's homemade, but better than the generic fish balls you normally see. One thing that MingKee does that I really like is that with every porridge order, they also give you a small dish with green onions and peanuts/crisps for you to add in. While not entirely necessary, it's still greatly appreciated, as many of the other places I've been to don't do the same. Also, I certainly didn't mind how fast the food comes out - both times I've been here, our dishes started to arrive not long after ordering! While I wouldn't go so far as to say that MingKee is one of the best spots that Cupertino has to offer (there are so many more places for me to try!), I can't say I've experienced anything even remotely close to a complaint either. At the very least, their porridge is one of the better ones I've had and this place was such a great find for something warm and comforting for a relatively late dinner. Even though I've already been back a second time, I wouldn't say "no" to coming back to enjoy even more! FOUR AND A HALF STARS rounded down for now.

Homey Cantonese cuisine that warms up your stomach and soul. Only gripe I had was wish the porridge was a bit more smooth Recommend getting a porridge + 2 rice rolls to share. The soup was also delicious, tasted exactly like something my mom has made before. I like that there were also different types of soups to choose from. If you speak Cantonese, it'll be a plus because you can ask what they recommend based on what result you want (ie: digestion/ "yeet hay" etc). Would recommend!

Popped in for dinner last month. We ordered: Dim sum special: 5/5 everything was tasty! Preserved egg and pork porridge: 4/5 egg and porridge was good. The sliced ham pieces was ok. Soup b: 4/5 clean broth Beef brisket rice noodle roll: 3/5 this was sweet and the noodle roll wasn't what I expected. We would not reorder this. Chinese donut: 4/5 not oily at all! Chicken feet: kids liked it Special spare rib rice: 4/5 very good! Sponge bun 5/5 excellent!

The Tianjin Eggplant was simple but delicious, with flavorful pork that paired really well with the soft eggplant. Overall, the food here is comforting and satisfying. The interior is clean and well organized. The service is prompt and good enough. They ask for reviews but didn't promise some freebie for a semi fake 5 star review which is great. I never leave a good review just for a freebie because my integrity is way more expensive than freebies. The food is phenomenal and authentic in every way. The frogs are tender and the spices are not overwhelming and brings out the flavor of the frog meat just right. The cured pork (pig face meat) is very rare in the states. It's also cured properly to give the authentic hunan flavor. They also mix it with raddish slices which is also rare in most Chinese restaurants here in the states. Even the conch with bamboo shots surprised me in how thin the slices of the conches are. It's also flavored without being too spicy nor too salty. Everything is on point. I do wish they used better white rice but that alone is not enough for me to take off any stars. This is just a wonderful restaurant that's on par with my favorite hunan restaurant in San Gabriel and I'm so glad I found it because I'm sure going to go back every week now.
