My story begins about three weeks prior to my visit at summit sierra. Three weeks ago I realized my need to update my phone mostly due to wear and tear, so like most apple customers I ordered the new pro max 13 through the apple store online. During my waiting period my current phone dropped at home, and completely broke leaving me without a phone! This was a big dilemma for me, because a phone is my biggest tool in my field of work, and I could not be without a phone. I got ready quickly and zoomed out of the house and at about 6:30 pm arrived at the store. I did not have an appointment so they were able to fit me in the queue at 7pm. I sat down with one of the greatest people that works there. I forgot his name, but he was a younger gentleman that had high energy (college student). He was able to get the exact phone that I had on order and cancel my existing online order with no penalty. Not only was he helpful, but he dealt with getting my passwords recovered and set up my phone like I wanted. I will continue to come here and I think the agent that helped me might as well be promoted to the manager of the store! I will be coming back to this location to do business, and am very pleased with their staff as I had a truly exceptional experience! read more

I have never been a fan of Apple. My daughter, however, loves the IPAD for its art qualities and refuses to use anything else. Her less than 2 year old IPAD quit charging one day and then shut off when the battery reached 0%. I bought a new cord and wall plug; didn't work. I broke down and went to Apple and waited. It was still under warranty, so I figured time was all I was wasting. Katie Rose was the tech that helped me. She tried several things, but could not get it to charge. With the IPAD still being under warranty, she offered to replace it. I couldn't remember my daughter's password for her Apple account and couldn't get a hold of her. Katie Rose couldn't proceed with the replace because the IPAD wasn't registered to me. I dont know what she did, but she fiddled with it some more and got it to start working again. Katie Rose suggested calling Apple Care to run a diagnostic from home to see if there was any permanent damage. If there was, she said to bring it back for replacement. Katie Rose's professionalism and friendliness is enough to make me switch to Apple. If all the techs I encounter are like her, I probably will when I need a new phone. If you need tech help at the Reno Apple store, try to get Katie Rose. She is worth the wait!! read more

I've bought all of my phones from this store in the last ten years and also my MacBook back in the day, like 2012 when I moved to Reno. They've always been friendly, helpful, and quick. Yesterday I went in 30 minutes before closing to see if I could exchange or return my phone case which was a few months old already, but it had so much damage just from every day use I HAD to ask. Most of my Apple phone cases took years to do the scuffing that this case did in just a couple months. Carol was the best, she said "no problem we can just do a full refund". She also said that her phone case was doing the exact same thing, we had the same case only different colors. My only options were gift card or cash so I took the cash. This was a stop I was happy to make since it was on my way home. So glad I was able to return something past the 15, 30, 60, or 90 day return period. Okay I admit that a few years ago I was ready to quit Apple. In total. Period. But then, that one of a kind Apple magic returned just in time. I have made visits to other Apple stores in a few other cities and by far, this is the best Apple Store that I have ever been to. Best team hands down. I had to buy a new Apple Watch to replace my 3rd generation one. I'd had my old watch for five additional generations before it finally quit one day and I'd never had an issue with it before that. I still got money for it towards my new one. The customer service issues of the past have been totally resolved and I'm so happy about it! Now I can keep my current and add to my Apple technologies with confidence! They fixed my laptop and made it perfect again unlike that Mac-o-Rama horrible place. I have no idea how Mac-o-Rama got my 100% truthful one star review removed but they did. Looks like I'll have to write another one. In the meantime, skip Mac-o-Rama and go straight to the Apple Store where you know that the work will be done right and you'll be treated well too! Especially since their pricing is exactly the same as Apple pricing. I will always take my Apple items to the Apple Store for service and/or repairs and so will my friends and family. I made an appointment to have my battery replaced. They called my name. Then they tell me they have to keep my phone over night. They are finished with repairs for today. They made the appointment and said they could repair today. What a lie. What waste of time. Well, I made new appointment. I showed up when the store was open. I spoke to the manager. He apologized for the past situation. He waived the cost of the battery replacement. They told me it would be ready to pick up in an hour. It was ready in 40 minutes! This visit was what I expected from an Apple Store. They were friendly and clear on what was going to happen and when. That is what I expected. They went up and beyond on what I expected. This review is for the two classes I took at this store. They were introductory classes for the MacBook Pro. I took them as a review, because I know I'll be using my computer a lot more in 2020. Like every Apple store I've visited, this one was crowded and noisy. Unlike some Apple stores I've visited, this one had clean restrooms for customers to use. That earns some stars! The classes started and ended on time. The instructors were friendly and knowledgeable. All of the students requested that the "music" be turned down, and the instructors obliged us. I learned some new things, so my time was well-invested. In January, I may take the free photo classes they offer. I will also look at the merchandise next time. read more

My phone was hacked one day ago. A local Verizon store tried to unlock my phone to allow incoming calls - they couldn't do it and suggested I go to the Apple Store in Reno for help. I set up an appointment for 3:45 pm today. After a brief encounter with a Jr. tech I was referred to Emmanuel, a senior tech. Seemed that my issue was pretty unique but after 3 calls to Verizon tech support, Emmanuel was able to make the case and Verizon finally got my phone unlocked and able to receive calls again! Been faithfully paying 14.99 a month for Apple care on my very expensive phone that i bought from the store. Two years later, battery gets me through maybe 6 hours. They said the battery is at 85% so no help and no recommendations. I asked if i went out to the parking lot and the phone accidentally got run over, how much would it cost to replace everything brand new. My husband received a Apple gift card for his birthday and went to Apple to use it as soon as he walked in they demanded him to put on a mask! I needed a new computer for a long time but kept putting it off...I was so attached to my MacBook Pro (2011!!). My Mac laptop tried valiantly to make it through the end of the semester but started having problems. (This is your fault, examsoft). Black screen of death, anyone? With my entire academic life on the line (150 page outlines!!) I backed up everything with thumb drives and I thought (my backup disk). I spent an hour at the Sacramento apple store trying to figure out what I needed. Not a great plan. I got annoyed with the chaos of the store and couldn't decide what to get. The noise and mayhem of the sac location didn't help. I researched more online and felt ready for my next foray. I was on business in Reno last week and stopped by the apple store where I had gotten that Mac book pro years ago. New location, same mall. Very nice people from Brandon at greeting, panda in sales, to the tech guru (you were awesome but I forgot your name!) who started my setup. Big difference. Good customer service. They did set-ups, too- something the apple store in sac said they didn't do anymore. Technical knowledge was a little short from my salesperson but she put up with my endless machine-gun patter of questions and even tolerated a second year law student's thorough reading of the purchase contract and apple care details. Props, Panda. I pulled the trigger on a 21" iMac retina screen. I had my laptop with me but not my drive backup disc which had a *mere* battery issue which I had determined from a diagnostic via Dr. Google. They said I should just transfer from my gdrive at home. My guess is that they feared creating an issue with my battery-impaired laptop which could be hooked into the new iMac with a two-way USB cord. Better to have ME do it 150 miles away. Transferring on my own back home with a faulty gdrive and a wheezy MacBook turned out to be a clusterfu*k and I thought my life was going to end, but in the end we all survived. That coward move brought this from a five star to a three star review. After surviving my desktop replicating from December 2018, with NO WAY OUT and my Mac battery finally biting the dust, I WAS NOT HAPPY. Ps Apple's phone tech support shuts down at 10 PM. Whoever got my message when I said I was going to die, FYI, i didn't. I ended up getting a new battery for my MacBook Pro from an authorized Apple service provider and my. baby's back. iMac and a much deserved semi-vacation for my laptop. And a whole new set of cojones I grew from handling my own shit without any significant help. I'll belly up to that f'in Genius Bar myself, THX. #stevejobsrules Mac life is the best. read more

I went here today, Monday, June 10, 2019. The last time I had been here, in December of 2017, the store was in a different location in The Summit, at 13925 South Virginia Street, Suite 220, in between Chicos and J. Crew. Now it was at 13945 South Virginia Street, Suite 612, to the left of Victoria's Secret/Pink, and to the right of Pendleton and White House Black Market. I went here because my battery for my iPhone was charging slower, and barely keeping up when it was plugged in to my portable power bank or to the car. I also went here to get proof that the store moved, in order to satisfy Yelp, which still listed the old address. Unfortunately, the suite number was not on the Apple website or on Google (which had the correct address, sans suites, but wrong map location!). I also drove in the back of the plaza, where they have all the rear doors number by suite with the business name; but Apple did not have its name of the door (although it has tons of extra locks and was well fortified). Fortunately, The Summit Guest Services Office found the suite number for me. I also took pics of the closed suite, with Apple's sign that they moved; plus pics of the new location and what stores it was next to. I hope this convinces Yelp, although I could not refer them to photos I uploaded on Yelp since the Yelp app does not have the sharing url. There were two greeters at the door. I was worried they might not accept walk-ins, but they were, and said that there was about a 35 minute wait. The store is a little more streamlined than the old location, with less desks and items for sale on the side. The chairs in the back center for customers waiting are more minimal,with just a block of wood with a spherical cut out on top for your butt. They also have balls the customers can sit on. The rear door for employees is also well concealed as it always has been at Apple Stores. I sat on one of the block chairs for a while and was comfortable, but then decided to take advantage of the tables and chairs to charge my phone while I was there. They have cords and USB plug adapters (aka power adapters or "wall bricks") there for you to use if needed. I then quickly got a text that my appointment was coming soon and to check in again with the greeter. This was only about 10-15 minutes after I checked, so they were moving fast! I was able to check in again, but only could do so after waiting a few minutes, as the greeter was dealing with another customer. This is the only part I don't like: after checking in when you first go in, you have to get the greeter to check in again when they text you your turn is about up. The problem is the greets are often busy with other customers, so you end up standing around and waiting in line, again. I wish they would just have a loudspeaker and call your name when you are up. Yes, it might be a little more crude this way, and the customer might not be there, but it beats the customer having to hunt down a greeter to check in again. I also notice every time I go here, the employee are wearing new shirts. It is green now, but before they have worn blue, gray, red, etc. I like their green shirts. They also allow the employee to sit with you and chat about the problem, whereas before I was told by one they were forbidden to sit down. Anyway, the employee who diagnosed my problem was super nice. He asked permission to touch my phone, and then check the battery performance via iOS. He said it was at a 92% level, so it was still very good. What he recommended was that I get a larger watt USB plug adapter. Right now, the one that came with my phone is 5 watts, but the newer, larger Apple ones (like half the size of the cord brick for a Mac Book) are 12 watts, and cost $19.99 here. Once he hooked up mine with the sample one he had there in the drawer, my phone charged faster, even when in use. So that is something I will consider doing. What I think happened actually was my phone was charging, but the battery percentage on the monitor was not rising for some reason. Once he changed the charge with the 12 watt adapter, the monitor reading started registering again. A reset of the phone might have accomplished the same thing. Like this morning, it wasn't picking up emails (although the web portion of the phone was fine), but after I reset the phone, it worked. The new store is wonderful. It is bigger than the old one, so there is less crowding, and also more simplified. Simplicity is what apple is known for. Parking was also super easy. You can also still view the mountains from their large glass storefront window, which most of the Apple Stores have. So all in all, I was very happy. I am going to give them five stars this time, despite my annoyance with the check-in procedure, since they were so helpful, knowledgeable, and nice. And I loved their green shirts! read more

The manager, Adam, is incredibly unprofessional. There was an incident and he basically couldn't handle someone questioning a policy that went against whatever his beliefs were. He then refused to help us and passed us along to another apple tech. When you work with the public you have to be able to deal with people that think differently. C'mon Apple! I've been a huge fan of your products for years. But the store experience was terrible. My son needed a new pair of ear buds and a dongle. I walked into you disturbing circus of a store and found dozens of people sitting at various tables and walking around aimlessly like extras from the Walking Dead. One guy was sitting there with his iMac, iPhone and latte, working away like it was some sort of Starbucks. My son found the two items he was looking for and then we were standing there like two idiots, trying to figure out what to do next. I mean, in the regular world, a customer would be able to locate one of those cash register things, pay for the items and go about his day. But not here in the world of Apple. Here, a customer must engage in a game of "find an associate", which is not easy. Why? Because, Apple has cleverly hidden their associates in black t-shirts with tiny apple logos on the chest. Shockingly, customers also wear black t-shirts. Hence the devious game. Once we finally found someone, after almost asking at least two guys in black shirts who weren't associates, the transaction went smoothly. For those of you out of the loop, to checkout, an associate needs to use a fancy little computer to scan your card. Not sure how they handle cash.... Look, shopping shouldn't be this challenging. A greeter at the door who might be able to direct you would be helpful. Maybe even a check-in system if your there for a large purchase or with a tech issue. One year ago my husbands phone wouldnt charge. Took it into Apple & they said 'the prongs are bent and wont charge' and offered & showed us new phone for $700 as his had no trade-in worth. 'Genius' claims he took it into backroom to have tech check it out. We got home and miraculously it charged! A year later still working. Now my son had same issue as he dropped his phone while in an Otter Box. It wouldnt turn on. Apple gave him no trade in on a new phone since it wouldnt turn on EVEN after the 'tech in back room' checked it out. The next day went to 'Power Up' store to see if they could retrieve pics etc. For $25 they would open up phone & see what if anything they could do. Friday afternoon my computer started acting strange, and being sentient beings, I thought I'd give it a rest and shut her down. Sunday morning I hit the power button to wake her up, and you could tell something still wasn't right. She was trying to start, but just didn't seem to have it in her! In a slight panic, worrying that she'd lose all her memories if I did not revive her quickly, I made haste to the home of the Geniuses, also known as the Apple Store. This was a risky proposition because I didn't have an appointment to see one of the Geniuses, and even with one, I wasn't sure they'd even talk to a peon like myself. When I arrived, one of the Apple minions greeted me, and with a big smile on his face, informed me that luck was on my side, and an appointment was available in less than 30 minutes of my arrival. I had heard that these Geniuses could use their magic to breathe new life into machines that were passed their prime, and I even watched as they cast spells and input codes that saved quite a few! When my turn arrived, the Genius hooked my laptop up to life support from the Apple Mothership (power cord and an ethernet cable), and began mashing keys to run a series of diagnostics. His tests revealed that my hard drive had stopped working, and unfortunately, no amount of spells could bring her back to life. I left in a haze, and am still in one today. I'd never lost any technology that was so close to me before. I mean, we walk around glued to our technology these days, and if kind of feels like I lost a limb. Worse is that the dead shell of what once was my computer, is sitting in my home until the new one arrives. What am I to do? read more

My first generation iPad was starting to suffer from senility - running slowly, crashing, and not being able to handle any new apps or upgrades. So after months of yelling in the direction of Cupertino, "Why won't you just let me upgrade the system I have?" I gave in to the pressure and decided to just buy a new iPad. The store is bright and open and light and full of beautiful shiny Apple products and young shiny employees. We were greeted cordially by one of said young cheerful employees and were pointed to the products we were interested in. I was debating between buying a laptop or replacing my doddering iPad. The young lady who helped us asked about what my computing needs were and guided me to a laptop that would be what I needed. I really liked that she listened to what I was interested in and did not try to talk me into buying something more than I needed. After looking at the laptops, we looked at the the new iPads and again were given suggestions and guidance in what would work best for me. What made me decide on the iPad was that they now come with free apps that allow you to produce documents that are compatible with Microsoft Office. I was sold! Once they got the iPad I wanted (an iPad Air with 32 GB) they asked if I wanted them to help me set it up. The young man who walked me through the set up hit the right balance of telling me what I needed to do without being condescending. He also let me know if I needed any help I could come back or I can get help through Apple online. They were busy, but I did not feel rushed or pressured to buy somethingI didn't want. The fast courteous service is a huge plus. I will probably come back if I decide to get a laptop or desktop computer. After using a PC machine, it will be good to come back to Apple. read more

Every time I've gone to the apple store, it has been a highly unpleasant experience. After making the mistake of not setting up an appointment, I was disappointed to find that I still waited about a half hour to see someone when I DID make an appointment. Overall, apple support could've told me the final answer when I originally contacted them. Instead, I paid for a phone that didn't work for a month, and had to pay to get out of it. The phone had a known apple issue and insurance, but nonetheless I was left with the option of paying $150 to fix a device I only had $90 to pay off, or buy a new phone. If you walk into apple ready to hand them your money for something new they will roll out a red carpet for you. Treat you with actual customer service. But when their products break, they make you wait in detention to tell you to buy something new. Never again! read more

Customer service that sets the bar for all customer service. I have been an allegiant Apple fan for far too many years. Our whole home is Apple / Mac products. I stop in occasionally for cables, charging stations, a new mouse or latest gadget. This time it was for a new phone for the wifey. I always prefer to buy my new iPhone directly from Apple online or in store. This visit was easier than ever. A short wait for a customer service agent allowed the wife to peruse the case options for her new phone. By the time she had browsed they were ready for us. They were able to provide the phone she wanted and walk through the AppleCare purchase and even change my phone plan to a better deal! One stop shopping at it's finest. The wife is happy and the shopping experience, knee deep into the holiday shopping time, was easy! That said, it is torture to go in and not come out with more new products. My iMac wants an upgrade now for sure! read more

An iPad Pro was referred to me by an apple employee. Little did I know, all it is is a giant phone. I cannot download my brokers firm, making doing my job, completely impossible. I am irate to say the least. I have numerous tickets on this issue. Two days back and fourth with supervisor telling me nothing can be done about exchanging it because I bought it in store and not online. Thanks Covid. Regardless, Apple should have something implemented and in place for such things. Perhaps make exceptions! Hmm, ever think of that? It shouldn't matter that I bought it online or in stores. Terrible. The employees here are generally condescending and seem to lack communication skills. Some have been decent in the past but the elitist attitude at this Reno Apple store is concerning. I think I have been treated with more respect at every Apple store I have ever shopped at. This is not somewhere I would volunteer to shop at and as Apple products are sold for the same price at all major electronic stores, that choice exists. I was literally sitting at table watching other customers get treated like second class citizens for approximately two hours last week. It was bad enough that as customers were leaving they were wishing other customers at their tables "good luck". When you are spending this kind of money on things the treatment should be better. I know sometimes you have no choice but to go to this store, but just keep in mind, your time is worth nothing to these people. Be ready to be treated with disdain. read more

My iPhone 4s was mysteriously dropping wifi, causing me to go over my monthly data plan. I tried suggestions that I found on the internet, but nothing worked. I had just purchased this phone 7 months ago, so I was not a happy camper. I made an appointment for the genius bar, all tense and ready to get mad if need be, but 30 minutes later, I walked out with a brand new phone (same make and model) - and a grin. The gentlemen that helped was very informative and was willing to spend the time answering all my questions. My fiance had a few questions about the Airport Express, and after getting some more information, we purchased both the Airbook and Airport Express. Even on the phone, the Summit Sierra Apple store gets top scores from me. My mom and I bought a Macbook and software in-store from Nick, but this morning I decided to buy a Mac for my own use. I called and spoke to Jason on the phone. I was trying to compare the older Macbook Pro ($1699) to the current "higher end version" of the Macbook ($1599) . I'm switching from PC to Mac, and for me it was important to have the best processing and graphics card possible so I can open & edit large amounts of photos simultaneously. Jason graciously spent 16 whole minutes on the phone with me, helping to look up and verify information on both laptops so that I could make the right decision. He didn't rush, he took his time to make sure I was completely informed before making a decision on which laptop to buy. I've always lived a few hours away from my nearest Apple Store so after moving to the Reno area recently, I was delighted to have this store within a matter of 15 minutes. It's always busy and a little smaller than some of the other Apple Store's I have been to, but they have really nice people working there who seem to care about how you're treated despite having a large "line" of people waiting. (Looking at you Best Buy!) And getting the chance to take classes on the products you have is super fun, they make you feel like being a kid again discovering new things you can do with your stuff without the burden of a sales pitch in that moment. All of this leaves me with a better feeling in general about Apple as a company and more inclined to continue purchasing at this store than any other retailer. read more

I was going in for an appointment @ 12:30 on 4/20/23, the man that helped me did a truly stellar job! Nothing but extraordinary! I have never been so pleased with the service, he was one of the best employees I have ever worked with out of anywhere I have ever been. He helped me change out my faulty headphones, that were only 6 months old. He also helped me get them out of a headphone case that I tried everything to get them out and couldn't, but he and his co-worker got it taken care of for me. Worked with Apple for weeks on issues with my new Ultra watch when they made an appointment for me to have my watch repaired at the store. I arrived for my appointment early and checked in. While I am waiting I am watching 14 apple associates all in matching shirts mosey around the store; most are helping people while some are talking amongst themselves discussing her earrings. 25 minutes later I asked the associate who checked me in how much longer and he said another 20 minutes, then he tells me they do not do any repairs at the store so they have to mail it off. I said, great here's my watch let me know when it comes back. "Oh no, I can't do that you have to wait for a technician." WTF? Only trained technicians are able to put a watch in a box and put a label on it??? This is why people get upset and standing around all day for no reason. DO NOT waste your time at the store. It is faster to have Apple mail a box. Better yet think twice before buying a watch or anything else at this store. read more

Great service! The manager (Zach) was great and helped me through the shopping experience. He answered all of my questions perfectly and didn't try to convince me to buy a product that cost more or that I did not need. Terrible store leadership. I came in to the store at opening planning to upgrade my phone. My current phone had a crack. I paid for Apple Care and showed proof of purchase from the online store. They said I did not have Apple Care. They called customer service while I waited over an hour. They then informed me that this is a unique problem with the online store and that it was an online issue that was known. The store associations, in front of multiple people at the Genius Bar, said that they had never hear of this before. I asked for a manager to see if there was an override they could do. I showed the manager Dana proof of purchase receipts and bank statements showing the payments for my phone and Apple Care. The manager refused to honor the Apple online receipt. I then asked to speak to someone who could help. Dana the store manager refused and said only online can assist and would not even do a joint call or try to get a superior to help. It is sad how Apple and its regional team does not empower its staff to problem solve and work to take care of a customer. I am happy to take my business to a different location or give another business the margin of a purchase of this location. read more

Made an appointment to get my Camera fixed on my iPhone since it was running weirdly and getting notifications that it couldn't verify a genuine camera(never had my phone worked on at all). Since this is the only Apple store in northern Nevada I'll be nice and give them 2 stars. This store has absolutely no resources in techs available to fix any problems for Walk-ins. A simple swap replacement phone somehow took me waiting 3hrs to even see a tech who only confirmed what we already knew about the phone. I suggest just not purchasing anymore Apple products because good luck getting help with them from their lousy store ! read more

Dropped by the Apple Store after seeing a movie thinking they could restore my new iPhone 2022, which had no service, but I unfortunately couldn't remember a passcode after playing around with it not knowing whatever I put in was permanent. I was told to come at 10am Saturday morning and bring my invoice. I went at 10am and the Apple guy who helped me previously was at the door. He took the last two people in front of me who went in a different direction and the Apple guy went across the store and stood in front of a table. I wasn't sure why he abandoned me. Someone else came over and I showed them my Invoice for purchasing the phone. He then said I needed a "serial number" for the phone. I asked how do I get the serial number and why wasn't I told I needed it before? (They never asked for my ID which was on the invoice and is the same on my license.) He basically refused to help me and I asked for the manager. He got the "manager" who was wearing a mask came over. The "manager" said there was nothing he could do without the "serial number". He was arrogant and his attitude was very insulting and embarrassing since there were lots of other customers looking at us. I ask "What is the problem; do you think I stole the phone"? He said sarcastically, "It happens." He then told me to log in on one of the computers but there was no serial number listed when I printed the invoice, so I said I probably have to call them. Again, it had become more than embarrassing at this point. So, out of frustration of being first ignored, insulted, humiliated and accused of stealing the phone... I wasn't going to do anything there and walked out, upset and angry! I went home and called my carrier to get the serial number. They have to give it to you and do not put it on the Invoice. Later I got the box to store the phone and the serial number is on the back of the box! I went back to the store several hours later with the box and the serial number I got from my carrier and of course they matched. I asked for the name and phone number of the store manager and said I was not happy with their service. I was told, "We have 6 managers." I asked again, "Who is the store manager?" but no one seemed to know who that was or if all 6 managers were working there. Apparently, they don't know what an Organization Chart is or what level of management they have. Maybe it's changed.... The same guy from the morning who is perhaps the "Store manager" came over and I told him I wanted the store manager's name and phone number to write a letter regarding "lack of customer service" and "Why didn't he didn't tell me to bring the box or ask for my ID when I came in the morning?" Well, that set him off. I again asked for the name and phone number of the manager and he said, "I am the manager." I asked for his name. He hesitated but gave me his first name and I asked for his entire name and for him to write it down or give me a business card. They have NO BUSINESS CARDS. Then he said, "Is there anything else I can help you with?" I said, "Yes, fix my phone." His reply, "I'm not doing anything for you." Which my mouth probably popped open with surprise. Of course, I responded, "So you're refusing me service?" "Yes," he replied. "Why," I asked. He said, "I didn't like the way you treated my employees....." I said I want an upper-level manager's name so I can call them and discuss this situation. He gave me the number for Apple Care! Haha So, honestly, I am still thinking about that encounter and this will probably be my last iPhone. I will never set foot in that store again until I know they actually understand what CUSTOMER SUPPORT/CARE is because it certainly doesn't exist now! I went home and found a YouTube video that walked me through the procedure to reset the pass code and within 15 minutes it was cleared and I was able to get service and a number assigned the following day. Smiles. Bottom line: The cost of the phones with the numerous options available is ridiculous for Apple to think one just turns it on without a manual and using one page of instructions. The complicated iPhones today are way too much for the average person. No one, except maybe business personnel or geeks, needs numerous menus, with who knows how many levels. Certainly, those menus are not used by normal everyday people. Most people just want to call and text on a phone; it's not like a computer screen, you can actually "SEE" for long periods of time.
