Go to any other Apple Store but this one. The last update on my watch froze. I took it here for repair. They sent it out, and now, they have no idea where it is or when/if I will get it back. Manager totally clueless - he keeps going to the back as if there is some magical genie back there who will provide him an answer. As it turns out, it looks like they lost it, they are supposed to contact me - was due back to me 8 days ago. I'll provide an update if there is any resolution but do yourself a huge favor, go to any other Apple store - I suspect it's the leadership of the management at this store but they clearly have ZERO interest in their customers. read more

Made an appointment to have my 1 1/2 year old mac book pro looked at because it doesn't work unless it is plugged in, the battery won't take a charge. So the employee runs a diagnostic test and says the battery is not recognized by the computer, therefore he can not tell if the battery works. He also says during his three year employment, he has never seen this problem before, it is quite strange. He takes the computer to the back for approximately 15 minutes and then tells us there is corrosion by the speakers. He suggests that there is water damage, (but nothing has ever been spilled on the computer). In his opinion there is a problem with the battery, the connector or the logic board, but he can't tell for certain. He suggests we send it in for a flat fee of $200 but it can cost up to $1400. He tells me we don't have the parts to do repairs on property, but from what I see no-one fixes anything at the genius bar any more, they "run" diagnostic tests, claim water damage, and then want you to spend $1400 on a repair. The battery in this computer went from holding a full charge, to 50% charge, to 35% charge, to holding no charge over a 2 month period. Now, it will only work when connected to power. My suggestion, don't waste your time at the apple store, the genius bar is no longer for repairs, but rather just for running a diagnostic test. read more

I came in with my Dad to get a few simple things done. We made an appointment a week before the scheduled appointment time. We even came to the appointment 30 minutes early. The lady told us to sit down at the table and we will he helped shortly. We sat for 30 minutes, before anyone even came up to us. Not ONE person working that store offered assistance or a smile. When we went up to the apple worker to ask why we hadn't been helped, we were told that we weren't even checked in. HOW HORRIBLE! Horrible customer service. How do you run a store and not one of your employees stops to say hi, or offer a smile. But there's plenty of time for the employees to chit chat with each other and play on the accessories they do luckily get to work around. read more

He took the time to backup everything from my phone to my old ass laptop and was so patient because that took close to an hour. I buy all things apple: Macbook, watch, iPhone, iPad as i continue to complain about their products and all the accessories they make me buy while I eagerly wait for the next apple device to come out. Been here a couple of times and Idk why I continue to come here without an appointment. This place is always packed. Esp on weekend, the parking at summerlin mall is horrendous. Came here and was helped by Francis for the return of my apple watch. Was quick and easy. The hardest part about any store is the purchasing part (which is why I prefer to buy everything online via the apple store) and the technical support here is just an unacceptable wait time, cause I wanted to buy another apple watch- in a different color and I then had to wait only to be told they didnt have the one I wanted in store. On a Thursday morning around 11am I went in because I wanted to disable the lock on my apple watch after i tried googling, pairing/unpairing, restarting my apple watch many times via the apple forums. The guy who helped me, said I needed to wait inline to get help. I waited for 10min and then I was told by the wait time to unlock my Apple Watch was 1 hour 30min. Tried to call the Apple Store in Summerlin (Las Vegas) on the telephone. I want to talk to someone the store, itself. That was not about to happen. First, I was asked a series of irrelevant questions. Then, I was sort of promised that I could talk to someone, but that turned out to be a telephone program, not a person. They bragged that it could converse in long sentences. Eventually, I was sent to a promised human (not in the store). They asked about the style of music that I wanted. That should have been the cue and I waited for longer thanI could. Here is the bottom line. There was no way that I would be connected to the store. Moreover, no prospect of a human conversation. Every time I come here, I don't have to wait long and the service is phenomenal! This store has the best employees! They're very helpful and offer free classes to help you learn about their products. I arrived at 9:20am and at 9:40am an employee opened the door and with a smile, asked me if I knew that they didn't open until 10:00am...WOW! For most of today, I've been trying to untangle the mess I made between my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro! I was disconnected from the world!! I finally gave up with all 3 devices and drove to Apple Store in Summerlin. I was greeted with a very nice lady, Racquel (I hope I spelled her name correctly) who is very happy to be working for Apple. I told her my problem and she attempted to help but I messed up my accounts so bad that she recommended contacting Apple support. She checked out support and computer said wait time is 2 mins! I sent my information and to my amazement, the support person (Shikwan sp?) called me and we started from there ... Between the store's computer and my iPhone, she walked me thru each step and patiently waited while I did my tasks ... after several attempts, I was back on the grid! Next was a virus I "supposedly" downloaded from a link, I was so stressed only to find that the "virus" was only trying to get me to buy the software. After one click, the tech said I was good to go! OMG, I am so overjoyed with these people! I was contemplating of switching to a tablet on my next laptop since my MacPro is about 4 yrs old, but after today's experience, no one can make me leave Apple ever! My iPhone 6 Plus display had some issues. The first time it was constant, and they replaced the phone. When I went to Hawaii, for some reason only certain apps caused the screen to slowly get lines then black out ( Yelp, Facebook, maps) but not YouTube, Netflix or any video app. Good thing I at least filmed it using another phone, because a screen shot picture would not show the problem. However, once I got to Las Vegas, the phone did not seem to have any problems; only occasionally after a reboot. After that it appeared to work fine. Oscar had the display replaced, but it seems my battery drains faster. He did a diagnostic and it said the battery was good. I am happy so far, as I stuck around the store to see if it would act up again.. It did not... I was 2nd in line and this replacement took only one hour.. Which I burned looking at the iPad pro.. New as of this writing... Thank you! But I will update if the display fails again read more

The service at the store is top notch! My space bar stopped working on the side that I usually type on so I brought it in for repair. They were thorough and detailed with their explanation and I was never guessing what they were doing and how much it will cost me. Unfortunately, my space bar came back worse when I picked it up after repair. When I called the store back about the issue, I was ready to blow my lid and get upset. However, when the admin named Brandon spoke to me, all of my issues were resolved! I was told at the store that I would have to pay about $500-$600 to replace a big part of my computer if replacing the space bar didn't work. But, I don't have to pay that at all because Brandon saw that my computer was under some kind of warranty and program that allows free repairs for keyboard damage. Came here a few weeks ago for some help with my Mac Book Pro and I had a great experience. When I arrived there I was able to get an appointment with an Apple tech named Ray and he was phenomenal. Ray was kind and helpful and took time to listen to the problem I was having and was able to explain things really well and In the end we figured out the problems I was having. First visit to Apple Store in Summerlin. Needed a new I-phone. Store was very busy but only had to wait a couple minutes to be waited on by the amazing Sabrina! She was kind enough to explain the differences between the I-phone 8plus and the 10. After making my selection, I was helped by Brian. Brian kindly retrieved an additional chair for my 12 year old while we set up my phone. He had at least seven other customers to help with set ups including one very bossy, cranky woman who kept interrupting all the other clientele. Brian was a pro and handled her diplomatically all the while continuing to help others with patience and a smile. Total time here was less than an hour. Kudos to your great staff! We will be back to upgrade my husbands phone and to switch my sons from an Android to Apple. read more

Terrible service. I spent a $1050 in there yesterday, like how much do I have to pay for you to help me? So the guy told me a bunch of times he never sells, he doesn't know any answers, he has to look them up. Then he tells me I'll get a $50 gift card, then when I agree to buy, he says nope, no gift card, he was wrong, like obviously he's throwing that in to get me to buy, then magically it's not available for iPhone 12. So that was rude. Basically after I agreed to buy, the helpfulness went out the window. What to buy a Boy that is about to turn 18? Many and option danced through my head before settling on an iPad. This would be much larger version of an iPhone he had the few years prior. I purchased said iPad off the app on my iPhone. It was a convenient and solid purchase. The initial purchase followed by communication this location in Downtown Summerlin made for an easy sale. I cruised in to pick up my order after having been notified and was met in a timely fashion by the sales person. There was a confirmation process via my phone and the smart something the sales person was using. How annoying that you can't just call into the store directly without being routed to Apple Care first. Not sure who decided on that shit but seriously, it's BEYOND annoying. I worked in mobile for 3 years - I'm not one of those idiots who don't know how to work electronics, especially something as easy as the Apple OS. I asked multiple times, "Isn't the restrictions passcode going to be on my backup? because it says right here 'it backs up settings' and restrictions passcode is under the settings." Sure as shit, I was right. Here I am, unable to reset this stupid shitsicle of a device. Why the hell aren't users able to see what's "backed up" WITHOUT using another Apple device? Maybe I don't want to restore some unknown backup to my iPad. So then what? It's a guessing game that is full of shit. I don't understand how a company that's so "above and beyond" technology doesn't offer something so god damn simple. THIS is why I miss having an android. I can see what the hell is on my memory card and Google backs up shit without me asking. It's interesting how the new phone and IOS come out and all of a sudden the older devices start crashing. Park closer to Macy's. Go through Macy's, when you exit the back, make a left. For an Apple Store, it was pretty standard. You have your Genius workers that try to assist the swarms of customers. The purpose of my visit was to purchase the iPhone 6 Plus. When I arrived to the store, the security guards informed me that I had to wait in line with the others who were intended to purchase the phone as well. No problem. I was number 11 in line, so how bad could that be? Well, I waited in line for TWO hours until a worker from the store took my name. During that two hours, not one person from the line was being helped. I sent my husband in the store to inquire what was taking so long and of course they give a very general answer, "We're doing the best we can." Umm...no. The best would be taking in at least 3 customers - get them in and out. Well, at almost the three hour mark, I just walked out of the line. Based on this experience I would have given this store a one star, but who am I kidding. I am Apple junky and I will probably be back in line next year when the next phone generation is released. Same goes for the next gen iPad, iPod, MacBook, etc. So, it would be pointless for me to write such a negative review, and then you'll see my ass back at that store. read more
