So I have gone to Applebee's twice. One time in Lompoc & one in Camarillo. Both times I had to send the food back. However this last time in Camarillo really upset me. I tried to go basic hoping they couldn't mess it up. I ordered Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. Let's start with the service first. The service was absolutely horrible. The waitress took so long to greet us by then we already knew what we wanted to order. We placed our order and waited, and waited..... While everyone else got their food and drinks we still didn't have silverware on the table yet. Finally the food arrived and it looked like it was plastic. The Alfredo sauce was dried on the rubbery chicken. I absolutely couldn't believe she would even bring it to the table. I had her remove it as soon as she put it down. I explained to her how it looked and that I was unhappy with the plate. She offered to have it remained but my husband had already gotten his food so I couldn't stand to wait another half hour. I have no clue why Applebee's sucks so bad but I have sworn to never ever go back. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost. Our go to place to eat for combo price food! Good service, waiter's are very attentive to their customers. Wait time can be a-bit long, I wished they put back the bench seats, for while you're waiting for a table though. Over all I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal value. read more

We always stop by this restaurant after shopping at Camarillo outlets. We love their special combo for $32. It comes with a free appetizer which we always choose chicken boneless wings. The special combo deal comes with two entrées. The first one that we pick is the Bourbon Street shrimp and chicken Combo and the other entrée that we pick is the 8 ounce sirloin steak. I have to say that the sirloin steak here is quite good and goes well with Spanish rice and macaroni cheese with bacon. The Bourbon Street shrimp and chicken combo is served on a sizzling skillet, which comes out Fresh and hot and smells amazing. We ordered the Cinnabon mini swirls for dessert which comes out warm and soft. This dessert also comes with a side dip of cream cheese, which is an awesome addition. Our server, KT was fantastic and provided excellent service. The ambience here is relaxing and enjoyable. This is a great Applebee's location and we highly recommend this place for great food. read more

It's Affordable and our food was good. The service was quick and our waitress was great.We have lived in Camarillo for a while and never eaten here, mainly because well it's Applebee's. Our kids ate all their food and the bill was easy on the pocketbook. With the cost of eating out this is a great option for a family. read more

Food was bad and the service was even worse. Fish tasted fishy, broccoli was flavorless mush. Totally forgot our drinks until we had to flag someone down to ask for them, since our waiter Aiden never actually came to check on us the whole meal, then brought us melted drinks that were not what we ordered. We came to Applebee's to try their new pasta dishes. We tried the Creamy Penne Pasta and the Stuffed Rigatoni. Both were pretty good, although the Creamy Penne had much more flavor that the rigatoni. I will say that what was the best tasting was their new bread sticks that came with the pasta. Those were outstanding, perfectly seasoned! We also had a couple of margaritas, the Perfect Jolly and the Perfect Patron. The Jolly was a bit sweet for me, but it did taste just like a cherry jolly rancher. The patron wasn't bad, just nothing fancy. I did comment on that I appreciated that they only salt half the glass. I'm not one to like much salt, so I usually take a lot of off - if I forget to ask for no salt. Service was average, nothing special or outstanding, nothing bad or anything to complain about. I always end up here by accident. And each time, it becomes a happy accident. Dropped by yesterday for lunch. It was very enjoyable and we all walked out wanting to come back ASAP. Got there just at the peak of lunch rush. We were seated right away though. Amy came over right away and got our drinks order. There were some new stuff on the menu which we opted for. One of us got the unlimited chicken tenders. I got the 3 appetizer special which was a steal at $12.99. All the food we got hit the spot. My personal favorite was the chicken tacos. I cleared that plate for sure. The steak enchilada was also good. By the time the sriracha shrimp came out, I was spent. I had two and I couldn't go on like Celine. My heart could not go on. First of all I thought all the Applebee's in the area was closed down, but we found one close to our college and 8 of us decided after class one day to go distress at Applebee's and do our Secret Santas. Our waitress was wonderful, she had a cheery demeanor and was very helpful and patient. She even took our picture of us! The food was typical, nothing special but nothing terrible. I went with their two for22 deal which was two entrées and your choice of two sides salads or an appetizer to share. I the chose chicken strips and garlic mashed potatoes and barbecue riblets and french fries to go. The riblets came in a long slab with small riblet bones inside, at other places I've had them separated into riblet chunks. I do like Applebee's is mashed potatoes. I came here to eat, watch the baseball game, it was good. The wait was pretty much a little long but went to sit at the bar , you can tell everyone was stressed it was busy and I seen the manager around barking orders I think the employees were stressed. Our waiter was really nice think his name was Z and we got our food it was ok I got the street steak and the shrimp it was ok, the street steak was marinated differently and it was alright . Request manager Bryan Cray for bigger table which he didn't like the idea even restaurant was empty. Is he told server not to serving our table? If that's possible, really disappointed. One of the weirdest experiences I've had in a long time. First we sit down and after 5 minutes our waitress comes over and takes our drinks, then after 5 minutes and no drinks come out she comes back to take our order. She didn't have a tablet that most of the staff uses so she wrote our order on the back of somebody else's receipt which made me concerned that something might go wrong. Evidently I was right because the food never got placed in the kitchen. After another 30 minutes I noticed the table next to us who sat down after us already had all their food and we were waiting on our appetizers still. Another 10 minutes goes by and the assistant manager (I don't want to drop names) Kirk arrives with some random item that I didn't order and when I say that's not mine he just stares at us for a solid 6-7 seconds and just goes "...ok???" at us like we were the issue. Next up our waitress comes back with a tablet and re-takes our order and says that ours never got put it and they'll get it out soon. At this point we're pretty mad but at least we were happy to know they probably pushed our ticket to the front of the line since we've been waiting so long right? Wrong. Another 15-20 minutes goes by and finally the entrees arrive at our table. Still no appetizer but oh well we can finally eat except the assistant manager, Kirk, arrives at our table and PULLS UP A CHAIR AND SITS DOWN WITH US right as our food arrives to prevent us from eating. He uncomfortably asks us how we're doing and then apologizes to us and says he's gonna work on helping us out with a comp for our troubles. While appreciated, I definitely did not foresee going out to dinner with both my girlfriend and also Kirk, the assistant manager. Finally once he leaves I take a bite into my burger and that thing was more rubbery than most tires that I've accidentally bit into. Just imagine waiting an entire hour for your food just to have it be over cooked twice as long as it should have been. The burger was sauce less, burnt, dry, and flavorless. The fries were ok (congratulations) but came without my sides of dipping sauces I ordered. My girlfriends wonton tacos were acceptable. Then the assistant manager, Kirk, finally returns with our appetizer. The chicken wings were cold (probably from sitting in that kitchen since we ordered an home ago), the mozzarella sticks were good enough (obviously, they're mozzarella sticks), spinach dip was pretty good and the chicken quesadillas were cold, soggy, sour, and full of tomatoes! (We ordered no tomatoes). After the long wait, the bad food, the missing items, and several apologies from our waitress (Again, I'm not going to name names) and Kirk, the assistant manager. They ended up comping the meal for us and just had us pay for our beer. For 12$ and an hour of our time we were happy enough with this and we weren't going to write a bad review... ...until 3am this morning when my girlfriend woke up and ran to the bathroom (on the toilet) and spent the rest of her night awake with stomach pain. Applebees has now ruined most of the following day for both of us because our tummies hurt, and we won't be coming back anytime soon (forever). Applebees, you have let me down. read more

Kirk the manager needs to learn how to do his job. After waiting an hour to get my food, placing and replacing my order, Kirk the manager took it upon himself to sit with us just as our food arrived. Not considering we might like to eat it while it's hot. And talk about how "we" are going to fix this. Not "we" as in Applebees. "We" as in "us here at this table." If I was on the management team, I would come with a solution, not ask the angry patrons what they think the restaurant should do. We asked for a comped meal and he couldn't even do that. After waiting an hour for appetizers, we still had to pay for the beer and soda we drank an hour ago. Insane. It was the most hectic, uncomfortable meal I've ever had. Servers are human beings and make mistakes, I understand that and I am in no way upset with our server, she was very sweet and trying her best and that's all we can ask for. But Kirk, he has a serious problem. Regional managers need to reach out to this branch and assess this ASAP, if this has happened to us I'm sure this has happened to others. Ordered food here tonight via Doordash - so this review is based on delivery not dine in. Our order was prepared and packaged very nicely. Steak was cooked perfectly. Whiskey Burger was 100%. I called and spoke to a manager - paid them a compliment. We ordered the 2 entrees and appetizer for $22.00. really good! Garlic mashed potatoes were very tasty, as well as the garlic green beans. We live in Camarillo and been coming to their happy hour for years that starts at 9pm. We ordered our food last night from their happy hour menu then 30 mins later we were told by the waiter that their happy hour menu is for the bar only. We called to talk to the mgr and he explained to us about the change. Our complaint was why did the waiter did not tell us in the first place when we ordered our food. The mgr honored our happy hour order. The food were too salty; boneless chicken, pretzel & spinach dip. In short, it was a terrible meal. We will not come back anymore to this restaurant. read more

I ordered the whisky bacon burger and really enjoyed it! It was super filling very flavorful, but it was so difficult to eat (see picture). The fries were also very good! In my mind all Applebee's are about the same. However I've been coming to this location over the past 3 years and I think it's fair to say they've earned an honest review. I can easily give them 4 stars based in food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. Atmosphere: 3.5-4 stars. ITS APPLEBEES, Like how much do you really expect from a chain? It's clean, plenty of seating, sports on the tvs always, and this location personalized it's decor to the city so I think that's great. Also the bar crowd isn't bad, very good vibes all around. Food: 4 stars. Obviously you get what you pay for but with that being said I always leave feeling like I had a good meal for about $10 a person, you really can't beat it. Extensive menu and the 2 for $20 is always my groups go too. My foods been correct and tastes good so no problems there. Service: 4 stars. Not many misses. This location is good with staffing and bringing your food out ASAP. Like I've said I've been coming here for about 3 years, I one point I'd come to the bar here about once a week so I feel like I have a fair say in knowing the service. For people giving low reviews about service id say they had a bad night because for how long I've been coming here it's always been pretty good. Bar area: 5 stars! Drinks are hit or miss you really just need to find what you like. Once you do though you'll be a happy camper! Great selection of beers, liquor, and plenty plenty of mixed drinks! First time at Applebee's last night and it could possibly or possibly not be my last lol My friends and I came for their happy hour at 5:30pm but to our dismay, we found out that their happy hour ends at 6pm haha. We still stayed and just ordered a lot of food during that half hour interval. I've always wanted to try their margarita drank with the upside down corona because it looks like a good way to start a fun night lol It was tasty and not too strong which I liked :) Potato spirals were delish especially with their dipping sauce and sliders were beefy. The french fries were okay and the nachos were meh. One of my friend's boyfriend ordered a steak plate and his proportions came out really small.
