Regularly closes early, locking doors before actual close to allow wait staff to leave while bartender stays behind taking care of 6 or so at bar. Really great "Neighborhood Bar." I was there at 15min till and I noticed the entire wait staff hanging out in cars when I drove up and then they all skated out like a bunch of fireman late for a 4 Alarm Fire. Our food was great. I had the quesadilla hamburger that was very different from your run of the mill burger. Great flavor. The burger was large, I couldn't finish it. It came with all you can eat fries. Husband got all you eat shrimp. For reorders you could pick riblets or chicken tenders. Eric was our server, very pleasant. He never let our drinks get empty. The hostess was a different story. From where I was sitting I could see her at all times. She never smiled. Didn't greet customers. She set two young teenager girls in the bar area. This used to be my "weekly hangout" spot, but it no longer will be because of the way the General manager, (Ken Suggs) handled a very SERIOUS situation. I have contacted corporate about the situation and not much was done, to my knowledge. I returned tonight because like I said this is my "weekly hangout spot", I was stared down(very obviously) by the GM and harassed by "regulars" at the bar who knew the GM very well. I am no longer even the slightest bit comfortable with returning to this location until something is actually done about the situation. The experience started off well on a friday evening about 6:30 when we were quickly and politely seated. Our server was polite, knowledgeable and attentive. The experience went down hill from there fast as the back of the house /kitchen staff proved that they had what it takes when they successfully combined their efforts to completely foul up a meal for four. I have never been to any place that serves food that managed to screw up four different meals at the same table this way. Rubbery chicken paired with undercooked /raw shrimp; a 'specialty burger ordered medium and delivered so dry and overcooked a hockey puck would have been considered juicy; dry overdone ribs smothered in sauce; and to top it off, a grilled cheese that looked like they had made a cheese sandwich and then toasted the outside of the bread but forgot to melt the cheese. It is obvious that no one checks the meals before they plate them or let them leave the kitchen. Spoke to the manager who did not display much energy or seem all that surprised and had the burger re-cooked. Our server did manage to have the appetizer compt (least expensive item on the bill and the only food item actually prepared correctly) The next time I think about going to Applebee's and spending $75 including tip I'll just hand out pre 1991 MRE's and dine on that. I Ordered Applebees Cumming delivery tonight through DoorDash, I Specifically called this restaurant to let them know I wanted 2 sides of honey mustard for my fries, there was NO option to choose any sauces on the app nor could you type special instructions for the kitchen nor restaurant, so I called and told them , so the door dash driver gets to my home, I asked her if she checked the bag Before she left Applebee's to make sure all my items were there , she said NO, she doesn't touch peoples food, there is Nothing to touch, the burger is in a see through container and obviously the fries were in a fry container, anyhoo my honey mustard nor any extra napkins that I asked for Specifically nor any napkins actually weren't in the bag, I guess I should give up getting food delivered , doesn't matter if I use Grubhub which is the WORST of them all, they ALWAYS deliver my food over 45 mins late and always missing something. The driver was nice and offered to go back and get my honey mustard but I said it's ok, it's nasty and rainy out and it wasn't like it was my food missing but it just annoys me that I Specifically called the restaurant to get them to add to my order and then for them to not even put it with my order is frustrating, happens everytime I order delivery and even pick up. read more

Came for the half price apps and got there a little too early which was our fault I guess starts at 10 not 9 like it says online...the food was your typical bar food not awesome not bad ...but beware the house margarita! We have lived here for 12 years and have only eaten here twice. After our first visit years ago, we named this place SlowBees. As of tonight, they are still the slowest place in town. The hostess was super sweet and seated us right away, but it went downhill after that. We received our weak tea with no ice and then waited 30 minutes on an appetizer, cheesesticks. Then, another 15 minutes someone brought two entrees out, but no kids meals for our hungry kids. Ten minutes and we finally got the kids' order. The food was okay, but the service was lousy. The waitress finally came with a tea pitcher and filled up my husband's glass, completely overlooking mine. I had to ask for her to refill my glass and neither one of us got ice in our drinks. We finally escaped this miserable dining experience after an hour and a half. Don't make our mistake...keep driving! read more

Walking in. The place itself is very dirty and nasty. Hostess is VERY VERY rude and has absolutely no personality. Servers are VERY rude and never check up on you! The "$1 Margaritas" are TERRIBLE! It's like they pour a bucket of SALT IN the glass itself it's so disgusting and I couldn't finish it. She didn't even take it off my bill. Long Island iced tea is also very very bad(got it after waiting 15 minutes for it). Definitely not worth the wait. The only reason I give this restauranr 2 stars instead of 1 is simply because of the food. The food is pretty good. But, is it worth having good food with terrible service and terrible drinks? Came here on a monday which is 5 dollar burger day. The service was very good and the appetizers were hot and delicous. I recommend getting the siracha shrimp appetizer. The burgers were awesome and well cooked. In the end it was a good experience for a reasonable price. read more

Moved to the south in February from the midwest. Grew up loving Applebees but have kind of grown out of chains in general. Last night after our engagement pictures we wanted something close by and so Applebees it was seemed like a familiar friend. We also noticed the parking lot was not nearly as full as the other chains which we were excited about because we don't like to wait. It took forever to even order drinks and the restaurant was only 2/3rds to 3/4 full on a Sunday night. The food was not bad but definitely sub-par. Everything from the spinach artichoke dip to the entrees. The dip was all spinach, hardly any cheese or artichokes. The mac and cheese was hardly cheesy and the chicken on it had barely any "honey glaze". The fried shrimp and french fries my fiance had were fine but we won't be back. read more

We had been going here once a week, but saw the quality of the food start to go downhill. The last time we ate here, we were with another couple. Three of us ordered the same cut of steak and all 3 looked completely different and none were cooked correctly. The manager couldn't have cared less when we complained. We told him that we found the food inconsistent from one visit to the next. He said it's difficult for the kitchen staff to cook the steak as requested because the cuts were all so different. Huh?? We had lunch there today. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich and I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp. The people were all friendly - the hostess was as sweet as could be, we sat in the bar area to watch the kickoff of college football. Someone came out and offered to put the game of our choice on (appreciated!) and the kitchen manager came over to ensure that he was on it. The bartender, our waiter (on 8/31/2019) was okay, but inattentive. Three times we had to ask for straws and we had to yell for his attention when my chicken was under cooked.... which brings me to my two star rating: 4 star for the people, 1 or less stars for the food! YUK! My chicken was supposed to have Cajun seasoning, but all I could taste was the garlic butter melted on it (and I had scraped it off!). Bland covered with grease is only a greasy mess. The chicken was way undercooked and had a funny texture due to that. My friend's grilled chicken sandwich was tasteless and full of gristle and also undercooked. This may very well be the last time I ever venture into an Applebee's. Lastly, their house wine is Sutter Home - rot gut wine. Go figure. read more

Jeff, the bartender, is SO rude. He blatantly talked about my friend and I to a couple of his regulars that were sitting at the bar while we were in earshot. He complained about us multiple times to get a laugh or two and try for a better tip from them. I let the first couple of quips slide before I decided we would get the appetizer we had already ordered to go. I paid for the one drink and the appetizer we ordered and asked the hostess where to pick it up at. She said the bar. She asked us if we were okay because we looked upset. We told her how the bartender was talking about us being drunk, which we definitely were not. I was not even the slightest bit tipsy. I didn't finish the drink he brought out, and my friend had nothing to drink. We hadn't even had the chance to order our entrees yet. We walk out, and I return in about 10 minutes to see if the appetizer to go is ready yet. Jeff (in a rude and confused tone) asks, "Um, mam can I help you?" I say I was checking to see if our carry out was ready. He says, "Ummm, I thought y'all left...". I said, "No, I asked for the order to go, and asked the hostess where to pick it up. She said the bar. If they've cancelled the order, I need a refund because I paid for the appetizer." They hadn't cancelled the order, and it was almost ready. He said, "I'm sorry for the wait on the appetizer." I told him the wait wasn't an issue. Then, he returns to his regulars and starts talking about us AGAIN. This is after the hostess is aware of the problem, and she is standing right next to the bar near him. Did she not mention to him, "Hey if you're going to bad mouth your customers, can you do it in the back?" I have never been more insulted in a restaurant before. I've never even been insulted as a customer in a restaurant before. I will never come back. It's not hard to avoid having this kind of review. My only complaint is that I could easily hear every word he said about us. It was very obvious who he was talking about as well, considering the place was almost empty and we were described as "the couple behind you guys" to the regulars he spoke to. We were the only couple behind them. We were the only people behind them in general! I almost regret tipping the measly $2.18 (way out of character for me to tip that low-all you had to do was your job and polite like any other server) that I tipped when I came in for the Togo order (that they expected me not to get after I asked for it to go AND paid for it and let someone know we would come back in) and he was still bad mouthing us. I was so disappointed in our experience at this Applebee's that I actually created an account just to get on here and post a review. Tonight I ordered their curbside to go for dinner for my family. This is the first (and last) time we have ever eaten at the this location. First, they did not remember to give us the drink that came with my son's kids meal (we allowed him to get a Coke as a special treat), so we had a very disappointed child. Second, my meal that came with a "side" of crispy red potatoes had literally 5 tiny bite size potatoes and a few tiny shrimp. The chicken breat was slightly more reasonable, but it was an absolutely ridiculous portion size considering we paid $13 for the meal. My husband's meal was a similar scenario, with a very small amount of food for the price. In no way do I expect gourmet food from a place like Applebee's, but this was a complete disappointment. She took our drink orders and we tired to order our food. I don't think she knew the menu because the 4 cheese mac and cheese didn't say anything about lemon pepper being added. After being confused as to what she was saying we asked to have a few more minutes. 5 minutes later she came and took our meal orders. She asked what our drinks were because she lost what she had written down. We had ordered water and sweet tea. Not to complicated. While we were waiting to get our drinks and having her put our food order we noticed that our server was two tables behind us and talking to 2 other servers. After 25 minutes of waiting for drinks and horrible service we walked out. She came chasing after me saying she already put our meals in. Outside delivery guy was super polite, nice and quick. When I got home, i discovered 1/2 meal was missing, along with sauce that makes item ordered what it is. I call immediately and it took Matt, the manager, 5 minutes to get to the phone. He sounded like he was reading from a script and couldve cared list, actually blaming curbside delivery....i stated he should be more concered with kitchen since 1/2 the meal was missing-he seemed to be confused by that statement. He actually asked me if i wanted to come back and pick up the rest. When he told me his name, i remembered why I hadnt been to this location in a long time...this or something similar has happened EVERY time, whether dining in or getting it to go.....will NOT be back. read more
