Walls are lined with telethon watch the various sporting events. I went with a grilled buffalo chicken wrap and fried pickles. I appreciate the pickles were a standard side and not an up charge. I felt the food was really good. The service.... not as much. It was slow. The staff seemed easily distracted and common things such as ranch dip for the pickles or a pen to sign the credit card receipt were over looked. A couple of time a I would hear one person mention to another that people have been seated well over 5 minutes. This was the middle of the day and business was slow. Would I return for the food, yes. I was visiting from out of town and went with a group; I got their fried pickles to share and the peaches and cream cronut! Where I'm from friend pickles can be found at most restaurants so I was excited to try theirs. I will say it was on the saltier side, -and even with the dipping sauce it was hard for me to eat since I'm not the biggest fan of super salty items. Other people in my group liked them, but I like my batter thicker with different kinds of seasoning and less salt. Those alone I would give 2/5 stars but the cronuts and the service, that helped bump my rating up. The cronuts came out nice and hot with sweet peachy/caramel glaze and a nice dollop of cream in the center. If I could, I would've tried all their cronut flavors. I was appreciative that 4 came with the order. I was worried it would be 2 small cronuts but it was a solid sized dessert for the price as well. Our waitress was very nice and patient with us as it took a few rounds to know what we all wanted. We always enjoy our time at the Taco Mac on Market Place in Cumming. Chelsea not only provided great service but was a pleasure to talk to. She has great stories! Brussel sprouts with honey were the star of the show at this table! Many times we have been to this location because my husband has a love for wings and again he loved them. What is good food with bad service? A bad experience. Each time we have been to this location we always have high hopes of change and are consistently let down. Normally, there is bad service and a full restaurant. Today, it was an empty restaurant and bad service. When we received our check of $94 and that seemed high. It wasn't our check, it was a combined check that included the table next to us. The manager was nice and corrected the check which was only $41. She let us know we had a new server on the floor. Why did they not have someone training with her to make sure we received acceptable and accurate service? She was a sweet girl but obviously needed guidance. When we sat at the table we were parched and requested water. For some reason the water did not arrive until the food showed up which was over 20 mins. When our glasses were empty it was never noticed or refilled. When the food was delivered our meals were brought out separately. Had a very bad experience. Ordered delivery through Ubereats - which you'd think would be the problem in the whole transaction. Nope. The food really missed the mark - and I've eaten at this Taco Mac as well as the one in Alpharetta and never had this kind of problem. First - the chicken wings. We ordered the roasted wings - and were burnt and so peppery that they were inedible (that's saying a lot coming from me...). The salad was ordered without cheese - but came with cheese and was not able to be eaten due to a food allergy. Someone went nuts with pepper in the kitchen - heavy pepper on the sprouts, the fries and the tater tots as well as the chicken for the salad. I called the restaurant and aske for the manager or someone to address this, but was told since the order came through Ubereats, they could not do anything and to call them. This is to warn anyone that is not aware of the excessive use of pepper on everything my family ordered this evening from this Taco Mac. The menu does not indicate that there is pepper on French fries, tots, all wings regardless of the sauce you choose and even the cob salad. We have a severe intolerance to capsaicin and pepper, which is why we read the menu carefully before ordering. We had to throw this food out and order from a different restaurant (which we are trying to choose now). It simply is not worth the pain and difficult night we would have had if we had eaten it. The service here was still good despite being nearly full. We were seated in about 5 minutes. Our waitress came soon there after. We ordered drinks and food at the same time. The mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. She ordered salmon and me the hot traditional wings, of course, with tater tots. The timing between appetizer and our meal was very good. It was amazing to watch the throughput between takeout and eat in orders by sitting near the front entrance. Parking was plentiful despite them being packed on a friday evening at 6:30 pm. I had one of the worst dining experiences of my life at this Taco Mac location. I came in with my family of four (two kids, one in a baby carrier) to pick up a to-go order and add another order while we waited. From the start, the to-go server was abrupt and dismissive, telling us, "If you wanna order more food, you have to go to the bar." After being ignored by both the bartender and server, the manager, William, came over. Instead of trying to understand the situation, he immediately accused us of attempting to order food and eat it at the bar, which wasn't our intention. When I tried to explain the situation, he cut me off multiple times. Eventually, I managed to explain that we were just trying to place an additional order and have a drink while waiting for our to-go order. William's response to me expressing my concerns about the rude treatment? "I don't have to be respectful." This was said despite me speaking to him calmly and respectfully the entire time. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, especially when dealing with a family simply trying to order food. I've never experienced such mistreatment at any restaurant. It was completely unwarranted and disrespectful. I will not return to this or any other Taco Mac and will ensure others hear about this unacceptable experience. read more

We have been to this location a lot over the years and have seen it go through many changes in management. We ate here last night and everything was spot on! We were greeted and sat right away, service was outstanding, and the food was cooked perfect! They definitely have a new management team and new staff and it shows! Great job! First time here. Just wanted to relax after work and have a beer or 2. Well the draught beer selection is amazing. So I ended up getting some wings half lemon pepper and half spicy honey mustard. 2/23/21 Update: Social distance and Coviad precautions were not enforced here. Hostess sat us right next to people in a booth with plenty of other empty booths around. No barrier or anything as I was approximately less than 1 feet behind the next booth. I am not sure about the logic here. Our server was not wearing masks the entire time. When he came back around the 2nd time, his wanna be mask(scarf) wasn't on. Our server wasn't wearing gloves either. I am not sure why I am even surprised as this is the worst customer service taco Mac ever. Of course they won't take Coviad seriously. No temperature checks when coming inside as well. honestly, my experience with this location wasn't that good. the food came out really salty in terms of the fries & burger, couldn't tell if it was the bacon or not since i had ordered the bacon gouda combo. Used to patronize Taco Macs fairly regularly back in the Before Times but not so much in the current climate. It was my first time visiting this particular Taco Mac housed in a shopping mall not too far from 400. The official website informs me it's been around since 2008. The dining room was lively but not crazy packed. There was outside seating which provided a calmer atmosphere. We were given printed menus but there were also QR codes on the tables. The patio had two TVs, and the Braves game was being piped in through the sound system. To my dismay, the wing size seems to have been downsized while the prices have been upsized. The single consisting of 10 wings is now $12.99. Darn pandemic. Wings could've been hotter temperature-wise but they were satisfactory overall. The dry rub original lemon pepper is where it's at. And give the crispy Brussels sprouts with honey a shot. The sprouts are a premium side at $3.79 extra, but they were a delightful treat. The hot water coming out of the taps in the bathroom was near scalding so just beware. Service was pretty good. Our server Alex was randomly replaced by Simon who was more outgoing and attentive so it all worked out. Nice of him to offer to go cups as we were getting ready to leave. This is the second time I've order food and it's come out cold. The fries tasted day old, Hard and cold. I'm pretty sure whoever put in my Togo order over the phone forgot to actually input it, or the kitchen just forgot to make it. Once I finally got it after wasting my entire hour break waiting for it, it was cold. It just doesn't make sense. The pulled pork sliders, although cold, still saved it. The flavor was great. I just want to thank the COO and other officers of the Taco Mac on Marketplace for addressing the horrible situation that happened to me at this location 11/29/2024 during the Georgia Tech, Georgia football game.
