Been here many times and enjoyed it...however went last Friday about 8:15 PM. on Friday and set in the bar with my girlfriend. Bar was not even half full so bartenders were busy putting and cleaning glasses and I get it cause they want to finish quick for next Happy hour. However ignoring us completely and not making eye contact is unacceptable. Honestly it was the worse service I have ever received and also food took forever to get. By the way I had to basically yell just to get her attention to order my beer. And same thing happened later to order food. Even my girlfriend noticed and said bartender does not even want to look at us and had to waive her down to order a drink. Oh and ordering food was the same reaction and when we did order it took forever to receive and no one gave us or offered utensils... we just look at each other and say are you kiddin me? Again we waive them down and ask for napkins and utensils. We stayed and hope things would change but it did not. Well I hope someone talks to them because they are there to serve drinks first and wash glasses second. Food was ok not what I expected had eaten same menu before so I don`t know... maybe that shift sucked. I don`t even give reviews but I had to...that`s how pissed off I was. Maybe management need to get more involved and maybe they can keep customers if they care. Not saying I will never go there again I`m sure its not Applebee`s fault that some employees had a bad day or don`t care. Not going back soon maybe things will change for the best. I was a little nervous about the food because we got burgers so I figured they might get soggy had they been sitting for awhile before we got there but when we got home everything was really good! Just had lunch in their newly remodeled store. This was by far the worst lunch we've had in quite some time. Server brought my order and not my dining partner's. The waitress checked back later and said the other order was "dropped" and was reordered. Both food orders were awful. Dh and I went early for Good Friday happy hour about 4:15. Got a table right away in the bar and got menus but had to ask for the happy hour menu. I ordered a nice Bloody Mary and Dh had a couple of rum and cokes! The chicken Wonton Tacos we're light and good as were the big onion rings. But we also ordered the fried green beans which we were fine. Those each cost like $4 but drinks $7. I like the Ted pad and played trivia but that was 1.99. I went here the other day with my girlfriend just because we love the appetizers. They were just as good as any other Applebee's we have been to. Yes there are other places that are better to eat at but come one it's Applebee's like you get exactly what you pay for. We had a nice gentleman for a server although the host was a bit sassy, we were there on Saturday July 20th around 3pm. We asked for a booth and he seemed upset but we did get it so it could have been worse. Our server was awesome though, he checked in on us made sure the food was good and made sure we were enjoying our time. I would recommend coming here if you have had the food and know what your getting. No it's not a five star restaurant, but the food is definitely better than McDonalds (maybe not the French fries I love those there haaha). Still this place is not the worst Applebee's I have been too. Happy with my server, content with the host, and I enjoyed the food specifically the wonton tacos and the quesadilla appetizer. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. But for $12.00 the salad I got was pretty poor looking. There was no cheese and no dressing. I had to ask for extra on the side to put on my salad. Start off with saying happy hour is the best. It's always a good feel vibe. Music is usually on point. The service can be hit or miss with it being busy some nights and not so busy other nights. So it's been about a year since coming here. They have remodeled and the inside looks nice. 5 person party with a surprise out of town guest. Steaks were to be medium rare and medium well. This was my first visit to this Apple Bee's location. As usual, they have menu options for just about everyone (the skinny, the big and the rich and the poor). The hockey championship game was playing so the bar was full. There was also a 21st birthday party there which was pretty cool. Our waiter was great. He was also waiting on the party, but he made sure to check in with us as often as he could. He check in with us a few times about our food which was a little weird. I guess the way it works is if we order an appetizer it delays the time our entree's come out which is fine. We were in no rush. We had made it just in time for the last 30 minutes of happy hour. The one thing that was also a little weird about our waiter is that he mentioned that he used to work at TGI Fridays and that they all closed down because business was not good. To me, that's not a small talk topic for a party you are waiting on. I ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas. I didn't realize that it does not come with rice on the side, but the rice is really not needed. They give you the chicken, shrimp, peppers and onions plus all the fixings for the fajitas (cheese, salsa, sour cream and softshells). That filled me up. Went to Applebee's for a bite Sunday night. The music was loud and... interesting. Not quite like the Applebee's I'm used to. We decided to get an appetizer sampler (2 smaller portions for $10) with the Brew Pub Pretzels & Beer Cheese Dip and Mozzarella Sticks. My boyfriend also got a Maple Bacon Chicken Piadini (no lettuce and the maple mustard on the side, in case I wanted to share). Took a little while to get our food. I was afraid the appetizers would come out cold, but they were actually warm and my b/f's wrap and fries were basically room temperature. There were 2 long, skinny pretzels and 4 mozz stix. The wrap wasn't bad with some of the leftover marinara and cheese dip. We ordered dessert via the tabletop kiosk. We got 2 Dessert Shooters as well as the new Churro S'mores, which looked too interesting not to try. The churros were very skinny and should have been warmer. I liked the toasted marshmallows but was disappointed in the chocolate underneath. It was just chocolate syrup, not actual melted chocolate, and it wasn't even warm. Not my favorite. My Strawberry Cheesecake Shooter was decent and my b/f's Chocolate Mousse Shooter was very thick and rich. Our server was alright... he seemed a bit overwhelmed, even though it wasn't that busy. This was our second visit in less than 3 weeks (not by choice) The first time we were sat down pretty quick and forgot about for at least 20 minutes but very apologetic once they were made to realize. Then last night my granddaughter decided she wanted to celebrate her birthday there and I have to say food was good but first impressions from the hostess with NOT the mostess sucked! They told us the wait for 8 adults and 3 kids would be 20 to 30 minutes, We waited patiently because we understand that it was a big party but an hour later they still told us it would be around 10 more minutes. Ordered the fajitas and waitress failed to offer this with that (horrible concoction they call special sauce) on the side. It was so bad, my husband who will eat anything could not stomache that disgusting product. When it was addressed to the manager on duty, well lets say he tried to blame us for it...really. Needless to say, he and who ever came up with this horrible mexican version of a fajitas do not need to work in the food service industry [especially in Arizona, where everyone knows what they are suppose to taste like]. I've tried this location a few times and the recent two times have been horrible. The second to last time I went the hostess was really rude to my husband and me, so much so that we actually left before placing our meal order. The most recent time we were seated at a table on a Monday night and it wasn't very busy yet we waited 15 minutes (no joke) and still no one had even come by to get a drink order started. Again, we walked out, vowing to never go back again. I did call the manager on the last visit to express our disappointment and he did handle the call well. However, he kept me on the phone while he figured out who the server was supposed to be in that section of the restaurant the evening that we weren't served and then proceeded to explain a bunch of excuses as to why there was confusion over who was supposed to be the server for that section. I don't want excuses, I just want to have a pleasant dining experience. This location has lost our business due to the poor operations of the place. read more
