I never had a bad meal here. My in-laws love coming here with family. The food is hearty and good. Ambiance is sport bar style and it can get very full, but with lots of families. My friends and I visited this place during our long weekend trip. It was late evening, and the restaurant wasn't too busy. There was good parking available. The ambiance was nice, and there were plenty of seats. We were seated right away, and the server was friendly. We decided to try the 2 for $25 menu, ordering boneless wings and spinach & artichoke dip as appetizers, and sirloin steak, riblets, and fiesta lemon chicken as entrees. We also ordered salmon, bourbon-style chicken & shrimp, and a couple of $5 beverages. The service was a bit slow because the server was handling multiple tables and preparing drinks at the bar. The food came out shortly, but the beverages were delayed. Considering the server was multitasking, the delay was understandable. The appetizers were good, especially the spinach artichoke dip, but the nacho chips were disappointing. The fiesta lime chicken was overcooked and rubbery, and the Spanish rice was bland. The riblets didn't look appetizing and lacked flavor. The steak was ordered medium well but was overcooked and tough. The salmon was decent, and the bourbon-style chicken and shrimp were really good. This applebees needs some work. I ordered a 2 for 20 for me and my girlfriend each entree plus side still ended up being 32$ at the end and it doesn't come with drinks? We got out our at a decent time and the service was nice but when we drove off and finally wanted to eat they forgot to give us utensils so we had to find our own at the closest gas station. When we started to dig in the food was enjoyable. I got the three cheese Chicken penne. The chicken and pasta could have used more seasoning but it was still good. We returned to this Applebees after we were contacted by a general manager. He offered us a few free meal vouchers and asked us to give this location another chances. A few months later we were in the area and decided to give them this opportunity. I will say this experience was much better. Our waitress was great and the service all around was much better. We were greeted immediately, seated, and our appetizers were out very quickly. While the drinks took a bit to come out, the experience and environment here was much more positive. Another visit would confirm if this was a fluke or not, but at least I would be willing to give it a shot. From our understanding, it had changed management and it showed, for the better. read more

We had the best dinner at Applebee's a couple weeks ago. They were remodeling so there were not many tables. We had our 20 year old niece with us so we couldn't sit at the bar but the 5 of us got on the waitlist which was cool because we could see our estimated time and place in line. I was dining alone so I took advantage of sitting at the bar for some "bar food"......The menu has certainly changed from what I remember but plenty of options to choose from. The hostess at the door was very sweet but I truly enjoyed having Kyler as my server! What a joy! We had great snippets of conversation while he worked both the bar and the dining room. When I was house hunting in St George, I would come here in late afternoon for dinner. My favorite was the Chinese Chicken Salad or the Chopped Chicken Salad. Service was always very good and the server was always attentive. The last time I was there in December, I was put in a corner...that was OK. Then a large family with noisy kids was seated behind me, but that is the sound of life...OK, not an issue. The server came by took the order for my usual salad order...no normal bread stick included, received 1 glass of ice tea (other servers always brought another glass without my asking! that's excellent!). I finished dinner, waitress came by dropped off the check and disappeared! I sat for 20 minutes waiting for her to come by so as to pay my bill...no show! I finally lost my temper, told a passing waitress that I'm done waiting for my waitress to show up. I went to the front and asked if they wanted me to pay my bill, otherwise I'm leaving! The poor server finally tracked down my waitress, who showed up sheepishly and took my bill which I paid. I gave her $1 to let her know I was not happy with her lack of service and walked out! Had dinner at Applebee's in St. George Utah had their boneless chicken wings and had a nugget that tasted odd, only to see a raw chunk in the chicken. Talked to the manager and he seemed like he didn't care. Won't go back, to this Applebee's. In addition to the raw chicken the stake that my wife ordered to be cooked to medium was more medium rare, only really cooked on one side and that side was way over cooked and the other side looked like it has barely been cooked. read more

I asked for one entrée to have extra fries. Yes, I was charged money for extra fries. Red Robin is unlimited. When my order came out I saw a small container (one container) of fries. I said they forgot to give me my extra order of fries. The food server said, "no that is your amount of fries that came with the meal Plus your extra fries." I said you've got to be kidding that small container is the amount that comes with a meal And the paid for extra. She said "do you want to speak to the manager," Yes I do. The manager comes out I showed him the tiny amount and he said "that's how we do it here." I replied, "well for this lack of service no tip and I'll never return is how I do it." So we got this great hotel in St. George Utah and we're hungry because we just drove eight hours from Pismo Beach California. We search the Yelp help and what do we discover? One of my favorite places to eat, Applebees, and is less than one thousand yards away - Bonus! We're on it. We order over the phone, drive to pick it up, and bolted to the hotel like we had hot Applebees. We enjoyed our meal greatly. We shared the Riblet Platter, a Quesadilla Burger, a Grilled Oriental Chicken Salad and for dessert the Blondie. The phone service was nice, the Applebees Carside Delivery server was personable and timely. We had asked for a ranch for the fries but no ranch was provided so we were a little bummed but not so bummed as to ignore the delicious bountiful meal.
