Service was timely and excellent--the executive chef came out to recommend several dishes to us, explain the menu, and gave us such a good sample of one of his favorite meals and desserts. The fresh bread served with olive oil & balsamic vinegar was a perfect way to start the meal. Others in our group ordered the chicken carbonara, sirloin steak, & chicken marsala, & everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Everything was cooked perfectly & beautifully presented. Executive Chef Jeffrey made the evening even more special by treating us to a delicious chicken appetizer. Tried this tonight with 3 others and are very pleased. We had the lasagne, two different flatbreads and chicken lemon risotto and they were all delicious. Chef Hogg is the proprietor and gave us a sample of his brisket and pulled pork which were fantastic. They also have a really nice bar that is open till midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. More like 4.5 stars. We made a reservation for a party of 8 for Father's Day and were seated promptly. We had a window seat looking out at the Ropes Course. Restaurant is on the smaller side. We started with drinks and the spinach artichoke appetizer. It wasn't my favorite dip, I thought it could use more flavor, but it tasted fresh and not just heated up. Five of the eight ordered the Lasagna Bolognese, which was a huge proportion and everyone really enjoyed it. I ordered the pepperoni flatbread which was really good with amazing flavor. My husband ordered the Linguine with Clams and really enjoyed it. A friend in our party ordered the Chicken Alfredo and didn't like it. The service was good. We also met the chef, Chef Jeffrey as he personally came out to apologize for the bit of wait we had. He was really personable and very kind. I enjoyed chatting with him. My wife and I went here hoping for a good Italian dinner. It was the absolutely the worst I have ever had. I ordered a shrimp Alfredo. The Alfredo tasted like it had flour as a thickener. Anyone who has cooked Alfredo knows it is simple mixture of butter & cream. The shrimp had absolutely NO flavor. With each bit I was searching for the flavor of shrimp. They had absolutely no flavor, like I was eating celery. I thought, they have been thawed and refrozen multiple times, diluting any flavor that may have been there at one time. Overall, we had a great dinner. Our table ordered a ribeye, filet mignon and chicken piccata. The food was good and the ribeye was excellent. The portion for the chicken piccata was a bit on the small side in terms of the amount of chicken served but it was very good. The entree prices were very reasonable. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences our group has had. We really don't complain much, but for the prices, we expected a lot better. The flatbread was small and overcooked, and it took over an hour for our meals to come out. The Bolognese tasted like plain tomato sauce, the bread had no flavor, and the Fettuccine Alfredo tasted like it came out of a box and was reheated. The steak was good but overcooked. Our drinks also took forever and were watered down. The soup and salad were probably the only things that were worth getting. The piano music was also pretty bad and didn't add anything to the atmosphere. Our waitress seemed very busy and avoided our table at times, but then asked us if we would give the restaurant a five-star review. I don't think you should have to ask customers for five stars, especially after an experience like this. Wow this place is rough. So many great reviews, how could it go wrong? First the good - polite staff, new space so it's clean. One of our party had the filet. Said it was overcooked, but "delicious" nonetheless. Another had the sea bass, they said it was great. House salads were nice. Bread service was average. Zuppa Tuscana was EXCELLENT. But the PASTAS. Geez. The "carbonara" was devoid of any flavor - except the bell peppers. (Which is a listed ingredient on the menu, but had no place in carbonara). I understand menu creation is open to interpretation, but if it's not going to remotely resemble the namesake dish, then call it something else . The chicken was inedible. You'd think when a server clears a plate containing almost all (took 1 bite) of the protein served they'd ask a question......but no. The chicken was literally rock-hard and could not be consumed. The Alfredo sauce tasted burnt. I'm guessing it's sitting in a steam table or pot on the stove and the bottom was burnt affecting the whole batch. The burnt flavor, however was the only flavor in this dish. The Alfredo entree also served with a bug in it. The Tiramisu was dry, and the execution was lackluster. The cake (used instead of ladyfingers) was bland very dry cake. Zero reason to put this on your must-go list from a pasta or dessert perspective. If you like sea bass or slightly overcooked (yet tasty) filets, you should consider it read more

The Caprese Italian flat bread was really good. Mojito was not the best, as I have had better. The bar area is very nice as we watched the FiFA World Cup. For dinner, this place is too pricey. It is next to a water park where a lot of families go, so this restaurant should have more affordable options. The restaurant is in Hurricane, not New York or California. read more

Just not good on so many levels. Started out w drinks, delicious but was never asked what kind of alcohol we wanted in our martinis. We're typically asked when we order Gray Goose. We had to ask for bread and was given 2 small slices. Had to ask again and we were given 3. We ordered oysters, minestrone soups, spaghetti n meatballs and eggplant parmesan. Oysters were a monstrous disappointment. They came out w alot of spinach Artichoke "stuff" on them and you had to fish for the oysters. Im not kidding when I tell you there was alot. Soup was the best thing. Large, hardy bowl w great flavor. Spaghetti dinner had broken up noodles like it was for a kids meal. Eggplant was very tough or not cooked all the way. It was an adequate portion. The food came out lukewarm which is always a pet peeve of mine. The server was very good however and the atmosphere is fine. Probably not coming back. What a nice little spot to come to for some delicious food after a long day of riding our Canam to Touqerville Falls. Hit the spot for sure. The Zuppa Toscana Soup was so so tasty. The Shrimp cocktail was nice. It came with 6 pieces that were great in size. The cocktail sauce was good and mixed with some cabbage. The bread was warmed which is always a plus and it was also a nice touch to see they bring out some shredded parm to mix with your oil and balsamic. Yum. The Rose wine tasted good. Could have been a bit more of a pour though for the price point. Husband had the New York steak and it was really, really good. I chose the Baseball Cut Sirloin, not so much of a good cut. It was weird, it was medium like I asked for and look great but was so so tough. I only had a couple bites of it and didn't eat the rest. Their garlic mashed potatoes were really creamy and good. We chose the Bananas Foster's for dessert. That was a nice treat. Loved it. The views were awesome. We got to watch the sunset with people walking on the Ropes that are adjacent to this restaurant. All in all, I will definitely come back. I will be staying at the Jellystone Park in July so yes, ill be back with my gal pal and grandchild for his 10th Birthday. Thanks for the hospitality. We went to the bar for a beer and waited and waited and waited. We were going to leave. Finally, someone showed up to bring us bread and water but the bartender quickly stepped in and said, no, that's not for them, after she had given it to us so she left it. We were informed that we had to order food in order to get a beer. So we ordered flatbread, it really wasn't cooked, so we never ate it. The beer, on the other hand was great. Ohh, forgot to mention we had to ask for napkins. She brought us one so my friend took the napkin from the bread basket and used that. Not once were we asked, how the flatbread was. We were asked if we wanted another beer or dessert. First impression not good. We live in Sand Hollow and heard great reviews....upon arriving I thought maybe we were in the wrong place it is in the parking lot of the camp ground/ water park. when arriving down stairs I guess I had the look of where am I....down stairs is the check in for the camp ground....went up stairs and I was really surprised of the resturant....your view is of the campground and the water park and rope area for kids this is suppose to be a steak house? The restaurant looked like a Dennys at most.... Our waitress was the worst I have ever seen we had to beg for everything silver ware napkins everything this went through the whole dinner. My husband ordered the 76.00 porterhouse no bake potato only on Fridays??? This was mothers day Sunday. I ordered the spegitti with meat balls seeing they made homemade noodles...I am not a great cook but trust me this dish had no flavor they did not offer cheese on top. My son and his girlfriend ordered the alfredo my son had chicken added it was like a half of a chicken breast at most. This restaurant will most likely make it for the tourist, but I suggest locals go elsewhere much better restaurants in the area. A 250.00 bill that was horrible from service to food. read more

we made a reservation, arrived early, and were sat down basically as soon as we got there. after being sat we sat for half an hour with no service. finally, a server cleaning off a table asked us "have you guys been helped at all?" he then took our drink and app orders and then disappeared for another half an hour. after we had ordered we noticed other tables much larger than ours receiving complimentary bread as soon as they arrived and their orders were taken almost immediately. after half an hour of waiting, the server kept letting us know your food will be out shortly sorry for the wait which is understandable in a restaurant but by the time our food had arrived we still had not gotten the bread NOR the salads that come with the entrees? never saw those at all actually. the chicken in the chicken carbonara tasted like you were licking a Himalayan salt rock, and the noodles in the rigatoni bolognese were overcooked and it was not good at all. when we asked for the check they ended up taking so long to grab it that we actually went to the bar and asked to just pay the check there. as we were leaving we noticed our server was outside not even in the building so no wonder. this place clearly does not have a system down yet, considering the host didn't even let anyone know we had been sat. i wouldn't recommend going here unless you enjoy being forgotten and only getting half the things you ordered. read more
