Probably the slowest Applebees I've ever been to. Really just not worth it. Chilis has the same food, and Mia much faster.

I haven't been back to this restaurant for a while but the new promotion "All you can eat Riblets!" We're back on the menu. The moment we sat down the bench almost fell to the floor.! No really it almost did! And I am not a big guy ( management needs to get the bench by the police picture fixed ASAP!) The server was nice and let us know the all you can eat menu is open to all three items and will keep the food coming as long as we are hungry. I started out with the ribs and they came with fries and coleslaw. It was a good portion and I was ready for round 2. The next item I requested was the shrimp. It was good just not enough to fill up on. Round 3: I requested the boneless chicken wings. They were good; just need more sauce. It was like a chicken tender without the sauce. Final round: I requested the riblets... And I was full! The service was great the food was fantastic and a much better all around quality than the previous visit! Thank you!!! I will be back again! Jerry was our server and he was so phenomenal. We went in and there was no wait we were seated and Jerry introduced himself and got our drink orders. He then took our regular orders and checked on us frequently. I'm pregnant right now and super nauseous, I ate a few bites and started feeling sick (morning sickness the food was great) Jerry brought me some water and a few moments later he asked if he could get us anything with the box. He brought us the check and was a great dude. We get to the parking lot and realize we don't have any bags in our car and we don't know if I can make it for the drive home. My husband ran back into Applebees to see if he can get me a bag just in case. The girl said yes and began to look but Jerry saw my husband and came to the rescue and brought him the bag. We ordered for delivery through the Applebee's app. The order was delivered in a timely manner. The order was incorrect and when I called Applebee's the male worker did nothing but blame door dash. First time in since they remodeled. It's bright, airy and has plenty of space between tables. The food was excellent today! I had the grilled club and fries. 1. The fries were hot, perfectly salted, and crispy. I usually leave most fries on my plate. Today I ate all of them. 2. The club sandwich was SO perfectly grilled. It was golden crispy on both sides. Usually just one side is done. The bacon was real bacon, not that pre-cooked stuff. And, it was crispy. It didn't have big chunks of fat on it. 3. My husband had the mac and cheese with honey bbq chicken. I tasted the pasta part and it was really good. I didn't taste the chicken (allergy to chicken) but he said it was excellent. Worst customer service ever! There were 8 waiters and after we were seated it took our server a little over fifteen minutes to acknowledge us. Once we placed our order and our food was brought out, our server forgot to place one of our food orders, which took another 10 minutes to come out. I ordered the Strawbwrry Balsamic Chicken Salad, which was extremely disappointing. Little did I know that the strawbwrry was merely a garnish; just five 1/4 inch slices of an aveage sizze strawberry. The salad itself was good (although the balsamic could have had more flavor )- lettuce with a nicely grilled checken breastt, some red onion, and sliced almonds. Dear Corporate, During my visit the waitress that we had was by far the rudest individual I have encountered in at least 20 years of my life. When the waitress was changed and management "Kaden" came over I told him that I could not believe she had a job. He at that time told me that it was hard to hire at the moment as if that was a good excuse or reason why me and my family were treated that way. We know there are a lot of very good restaurants in St. George, and we enjoy many of them, but for satisfying meal at a reasonable price, Applebee's is one of our go to favorites. Even though they are currently doing a total remodel, tonight was a great experience as always. We love the menu, and of course we have our favorite items, but the food is always delicious and plentiful, and even with the remodel going on, and everyone having help shortages, they are doing a super job. Obviously, they were fully staffed, which shows they are making an effort to keep their staff happy, and that was sure obvious with our server never stopped smiling and we were never left waiting. Kayden Jensen, the manager, was ever present, and even stopped by to check on us. This was definitely a well oiled machine, and he was a delight. I have a lot of experience in food service, and have consulted and worked on many levels in the industry. This may not be your idea of a 5 star restaurant, but I can show many that are who could learn from this one. I am sorry that so many people who chose to rant about something not being perfect in their experience, even when it may not have been the servers fault, or when a minor mistake takes place, and they feel it is their duty to destroy the offender. Maybe it was the delivery service, maybe you did not speak clearly, or maybe when your server was running at a crazy pace to serve 6 tables of 4 or more people, they actually made a mistake. Be patient people! I have walked in their shoes, and I know how hard they try to give you the best experience they can. Remember, they work for tips, and they want to make you happy. The grand reopening is on target for the middle of the month, but even under construction, it is a great place to enjoy a good meal and good service at a very reasonable price. read more

When I called the next morning the girl who answered didn't have much phone manners or customer service, but I was transferred to the manager and he was holding my wallet for me in the office. I've been going to Applebee's for years. I have always been impressed by the service. A manager would always stop by to make sure everything was okay. The food has never been great but consistently good. I don't know if today was an off day or this is what I can expect from now on. First off the food was horrible and the service was only so-so. My friend and I ordered completely different meals and they both had to go back. Plus the cost per portion was way too high for the quality at its best quality. McDonalds would have been a better choice. It will be a long time before I forget this experience, and give them a second chance if ever. read more

We chose Applebees tonight for date night. It'd been a while since we had a night out without the kids. We ordered the same meals Steak, shrimp, etc after about 30 minutes waitress said sorry it's taking so long one of the steaks was over cooked due to a chef walking out. We were fine with it and waited for them to re-cook the meals. Another 20 minutes or so they came out with both meals Both steaks were supposed to be medium. My husbands was fluffy and the plate was bloody, which didn't really bother him. Mine was like a piece of beef jerky. I couldn't even cut through it with a knife. I felt bad for the waitress because I knew it wasn't her fault. So, I was just going to eat the shrimp, mashed potatoes and green beans and let it go. I bit into the mashed potatoes and they were colder than if they had come out of my refrigerator. At this point, I asked for my waitress, and I let her know that I was unhappy with my meal. She apologized and said she would not charge me for that meal. Which to me was common sense since I could not eat it ...again I let it go. We were only paying for my husband's meal. Then we were approached by the manager who came over to apologize and let me know that they had a couple of chefs walk out today and the guy that was cooking "didn't really know what he was doing" and he kept apologizing and let me know that again I was not being charged for the meal that I did not get to eat. I almost lost my cool!! You are not doing your customers a favor by not charging them for something they did not get and although they had offered to make something else we had already been there for well over an hour and our time away from parenting duties was up. The experience i had today would have been a 5 star had we just had a different waitperson. I go out to eat to enjoy my meal. This girl came to our table a minimum of 20 times. From trying to decided and reading the menu (she came back 3 times to ask if we were ready- i finally said "when we are ready i will close my menu or look up") It was irritating and especially when she told us numerous times not to worry about rushing. We came in on May 21st around 7pm. There were quite a few people waiting so we knew it would be a long wait. The hostess, Jodi, was being rude to people with large groups. A lady with a group of 10 asked how much longer it would be that they had been waiting 20 minutes. In a rude voice she told her she didn't have anything open and it would be about another 30-35 minutes. So the lady said screw it and the group left. Jodi began talking rudely about that guest to the other host. There was another group that was there and the guy said he had been waiting almost half an hour. He got up and said let's just go to burger king. Jodi started talking rude about them too. She was acting like it is so difficult and inconvenient to accommodate large groups. Maybe Jodi shouldn't be out front where guests can hear her complain about the other guests! After all, the hosts & hostesses are the first people guests see and they should really make a good impression otherwise you'll get people that just up and leave... Like they did tonight! The host who sat us, Cole, was very friendly! Our waitress, Ashley, was sweet. We could tell she was new. We did have to snag her a few times to get drink refills. I just spent about $70 on a Birthday dinner for my sister. The food was actually good, but the restaurant was so damn cold that we couldn't enjoy the food. We just wanted to finish up quick and get out of there. I now know why it was the only place in St. George that didn't have a waiting list. Nobody wants to sit in an ice cold restaurant. The waitress said it was a management decision and they couldn't do anything about it although they heard about it from everyone they served. I will not be going to this Applebees again. I do like Chilis better and this trip here confirmed that. We had a waitress that did not care one bit about us. She got snotty with us once and at that point I had decided that I wasn't coming back. She acted like we were a liability in her life. It was almost like it was just killing her on the inside to be in our presence. This is 100% unacceptable. But don't worry... it gets worse. A friend we came with got water and there were all kinds of things floating around in that glass. Her glass literally had food residue on the inside, to the point where I'm not sure how that got past the people filling up the drinks. Another friend got the salad and they left the hard part of the head of lettuce in the salad. The part that you cut off and throw away... yup, that was in the salad. You can't eat that, you just push that aside! I cant even remember if my ribs were good because of how awful this experience was. I understand that businesses make mistake and I'm usually very tolerant with these kinds of things but these were REALLY big mistakes that just shouldn't happen with a large business like this. We were seated w/in 5mins Our drink order was placed & received w/in 5mins And our meal order took less than 15 - 20 mins. We perused the menu longer than normal because of all the different healthier choices of which we ladies chose the Shrimp Scampi Linguine and I believe 'Nom, nom, nom' was the reaction. LOL The boys had grilled chicken w/portabello mushrooms and club sandwich and both plates were clean. The staff were kind and courteous and we left fat & happy.
