My best friend and I meet up at Applebees once a month to have a couple drinks and catch up on life. This time though was my birthday get-together and since he was paying, I wanted to take advantage and run up the bill. LoL. He didn't mind. I had a couple Bahama Mama drinks but can't say I felt the effect of the liquor. To be honest, I was full just eating the triple platter appetizer....but I couldn't let him off the hook that easy. Besides, every year for three months I have to hear how I'm one year older than him until his birthday comes around in September when we are the same age again. The chicken quesadilla, riblets, and wonton tacos (triple platter appetizer) was filling and ordered my traditional chicken wings (bone in). I usually ask for all flats - but forgot today. He ordered the 3 for me combo which is always a good value. After over-eating, they gave me a complimentary ice cream and brownie for my birthday and couldn't turn it down. I asked them to charge my buddy for the dessert (just to pad the bill for him to pay) but it was a nice birthday freebie. One thing about Applebees is the bartenders are always pretty cool. We came here to use a gift card and decided to try their 2 for $25 deal. As our appetizer, we shared the mozzarella sticks included with the promotion, but we also ordered some onion rings because we love onion rings. My fiancé ordered the Whiskey Bacon Burger, and I ordered their new O-M-Cheese Burger, which is a simple cheeseburger and fries served on a hot skillet of queso. I'm a cheese lover, so I was excited to give it a try, but the burger itself was a little too simple for my taste. I think it would have been more enjoyable with additional sauce or toppings. Our server was very nice and attentive, which was great. One pet peeve of mine when visiting any restaurant is sticky or dirty menus. Unfortunately, the menus felt grimy, and that's not the best way to start a meal. I always carry hand sanitizer, so it wasn't a huge issue, but I worked at an Applebee's years ago and remember that wiping down the menus was a standard part of keeping things clean and presentable. We stopped here around 3:30 for a quick bite to eat. We were not greeted at the door but there was someone there she just looked at us and didn't say anything we informed her we would be sitting in the bar area. We sat down and still were not greeted. There was 2 bartenders behind the bar who made eye contact and they still did not greet us! They stood there talking and laughing with the people at the bar who appeared to be regulars. 2 employees walked by our table. One was carrying drinks and one just walked by neither one of them greeted us or even looked at us! It was almost 10 minutes before we were acknowledged. The waitress brought us menus and we asked for waters. When we ordered we were specific with our drink order (they were their special drink from the advertising on the table. We were so specific that we literally showed her the advertisement and said we will take 2 of these) and when a gentleman brought our drinks out they were wrong! It took about 20 minutes to get our food (it was 3 appetizers) and you could tell they were literally just warmed up. The apps were good but definitely shouldn't have taken that long for them to come out when the restaurant was basically empty. We immediately asked for boxes and the waitress insisted she bring them out when we were ready to go. We insisted we wanted them immediately. She appeared confused and brought them out. We ate a few bites and drank our drinks we paid and left. We will definitely NOT be back! The food was good but when the service is mediocre or horrible the food is the only thing to save it and that was not worth saving! Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

Well, I wanted to try a nice place to eat, but apparently I guess the cooks were off that day they weren't focused on cooking the right orders. I ordered a medium steak and got it well done very bad. My wife got a medium steak. Hers was nice. Then asked for a refill on the iced tea and we didn't get it until we finish paying and then the waiter shows up with a fresh iced tea. Wow how sad is that? We will go again to try it out and give them a second chance. Hopefully, it's much better. read more

I hate giving bad reviews when the service was amazing. To preface, our waitress was 5/5. She was the bartender AND our server (we sat in the bar). Super friendly and funny. But the food was not great. I ordered the salmon meal. Maybe I shouldn't have. But I did. Very chewy. Not good flavors. I didn't even take it home. I had two bites and left the rest. We hadn't been to Applebee's in quite a while, and on our way home we decided to stop by this location and give it a try. Upon arrival, the hostesses greeted us warmly and seated us right away. Since it was a Saturday night and the Dodgers were playing, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were seated. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. Our server came by to take drink orders. Our teenager asked for a Dr Pepper, and the server responded, "We don't have Dr Pepper, and that's why we give you a menu to read before I get here so you know what we have." The tone was extremely rude. Our son's friend ended up ordering a lemonade, not because he wanted one, but because he knew it was on the menu and didn't want to deal with the server's attitude. We immediately asked to speak with the manager. After about 10 minutes with no response, we asked the hostess again. This time, she gave us attitude before going to get him. Another 10 minutes passed, and when we followed up again, we were told, "He's in the kitchen. He'll be out when he can." At that point, I politely but firmly asked that she request the manager come out, or I would go into the kitchen myself to speak with him. Only then did someone finally notify the manager. While waiting, one hostess told us we needed to move because the server needed the table, and if we wanted another server, we would have to switch sections. At that point I refused. We weren't moving, and we needed a different server. When the manager finally came out, he was completely dismissive and acted as though none of our concerns mattered. We were preparing to leave when we noticed a couple requesting to speak with him about the same server. I sat back down to see how he handled it. The manager rushed over with two beers for them, switched their server immediately, and treated them as if they were the problem instead of addressing his staff's behavior. Very upset! I go to Applebee's at least twice a month. More so the Lodi location. My best friend got me out of the house after a mental breakdown from being a mom of twins on the spectrum, so after a walk at the nature trail and couple glasses of wine we decided to stop at applebees for a quick bite and to finish watching my Padres game. Just had a pretty decent experience at the Applebee's in Stockton, California. The service was quick, which was nice, but for some reason, they weren't letting anyone sit in the bar area. All the food came out at once, and the quesadilla was spot on--crispy just like I wanted. However, the buffalo wings were way too salty. We went during happy hour, and while their drinks are top-notch, I wish they'd add more food options to the happy hour menu. It's pretty limited. I've been to this happy hour quite a few times and used to visit this Applebee's often. The service was good, no complaints there. It was our last resort location, but it worked out fine. Today me and my family went to Applebee's for dinner. I was excited to try the new OM cheeseburger and was sadly very disappointed. There was hardly any cheese and it just wasn't that great.! my son had the chicken Parmesan, which he said the noodles just tasted old that fettuccine my daughter-in-law had the ribs that weren't that great. 2/5/24 - I picked my grandchildren up from after-school care so that we can go out to dinner. I asked them where they wanted to go and at first they said McDonald's. Came here on New Year's day and they were not that busy at all, yet service was extremely slow!! There were so many empty tables and yet my fiancé and and couldn't get seated until 40 minutes later. Okaaayy so idk why this Applebees has such low ratings bc everytime i go here the atmosphere is amazing, the service is quick, and the menu variety just keeps getting better. Today i ordered using their 'to go' carside service which was my first time. Ordered their classic barbecue boneless wings. Didn't have a clue where their reserved parking was for the ' to go' spots. Parked at Olive Garden at first lol. So this ordering service is pretty easy you just call the resturant when you arrived and they take you your food. Sooo...when i called, i saw the waitress on the other side of the parking lot looking for my car and I realized how dumb i must look lol. So I went to park on the other side as she walked in and came out immediately with my food. Everything was ready to go and she had extra ranch for the wings & the best part...the qings werent dry!! Lol. So many resturants don't put enough sauce on their wings at ALL. Sauce is the most important part. The waitress was so attentive and had a good attitude even though I had never used this 'to go' service in my life lolol. My family and I came to have dinner after an awful experience at the grape festival and when I tell you this place was super chill and laid back I mean it. Hey, it's Applebees. What more is there to say. Their restaurants are usually pretty clean and they usually have a spacious parking lot. This one is no different. Stopped in with a friend for a late dinner...no waiting. Our table was prepped and ready for customers (unlike most places that stopped doing this because of Covid). We started with a Pretzel bread appetizer...pretty good. For my main course I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp which comes with mashed potatoes. Although the shrimp were pretty small, they were tasty. My chicken was good just right and not dry inside. This dish comes in a mushroom-onion-bourbon sauce which gives it a yummy taste. I forget what friend ordered but I do recall him saying good things about his food. Like most places, Applebees' prices are up too. But they do have several regular specials going. So if you're watching your funds, that's an option for you. read more

Their mashed potato's pair well with their salmon, and the portions of the salmon and potato's aren't generous. The host togo staff was very friendly over the phone and was just as friendly in person, can't comment on their wait staff as I ordered togo. There are many transients outside the restaurant, which could be a safety risk when going at night there unaccompanied. read more

Applebee's was one of the few restaurants that stayed open late. I decided to come here a little before 10:30 PM on 7/28/21 with my mother. As I walked in to put my name down with the host, a nice gentleman enthusiastically said, "Welcome in!" I believe he was the manager. It was such a warm and friendly welcoming! Next, we were seated at the table. Riley, the server, was so amazing! She was extremely sweet and took care of us with a great smile! We ordered two 1/2 off appetizers: The Spinach & Artichoke Dip and Buffalo Boneless Wings. We also did the $27 meal deal with the Mozzarella sticks, Three Cheese Chicken Penne Pasta, and Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp. Everything was on point and delicious! I even asked for extra celery with the boneless wings, and Riley hooked it up! As our bill came, our server accidentally charged us full price for the appetizers. We mentioned it to her; she apologized and rectified the situation. We left her a nice tip, just because of everything she's done for us from the get-go.
