We came out for a couple date night and I ended up watching my husband eat his meal. The manager came out and was no help. He appeared bothered and try to explain that $8.00 discount was a great way to compensate for slow service and meal mix up not once but twice!! I filter visit today fell short of three stars but was better than two stars so I gave them the benefit of doubt with a three-star rating. The atmosphere was what you would expect from this type of chain restaurant. It is good for us given the fact we have four kids who are not quite ready for a five-star fine dining environment. The service was mediocre. We had to try to flag someone down to get the two refills that we asked for and remind them in order to get a side we ordered. There were a number of mistakes such as my son's cheeseburger being plain rather than having the lettuce tomato and onion on it when he did not request for it to be plain. My wife ordered pasta and liked it. The kids also said they liked their food. My dinner was decent but I was slightly disappointed. I ordered a full rack of ribs with fries. I told them I have a severe dairy allergy and could not have the coleslaw that normally comes with this meal. I asked if they could substitute extra fries for the coleslaw and was told it would be no problem. I could see that there was a little bit of coleslaw residue on the edge of the plate where they had scraped it off and tried to wipe it down but they did not appear to be any residue on my food itself. They were supposedly getting an extra fries but the quantity did not seem to be any higher than a normal single order. The ribs were over done and kind of dry. Ordered steak with parmesan shrimp and green beans as a side. After seeing it on their website I figured that it'll be close to being crunchy but it didn't even look close to it. Went back inside to ask and was told that it depends. ... I guess it depends on the cook?! The last time I ordered steak here I was actually given asada instead of a steak that is why I had to check my food. We are not regular patrons of our local Applebee's, however, we chose to dine here for dindin earlier this week at my 94-year-old mom's request and, WOW, were we impressed with the ambiance, food quality & service from the host/hostess to our server Danielle (Dani). They made our week and more importantly, they bowled my mom over :) I arrived first to get a table for the 4 of us (while mom & 2 sisters were coming in from outside) and the young man (host) went out to greet them and to open the door as my sisters guided my mom in. We then had our choice of booths, were seated and well taken care of by our server who anticipated our every need with a great smile from beginning to end. Nice atmosphere. Ordered the combo appetizer which was actually good. Unfortunately we then waited another 30min for our entrees. My daughter was falling asleep waiting for her pizza. That is until some patrons at the bar got rowdy and broke a glass (our table was right next to the bar). When the food finally came, the fish for the fish & chips was oily as hell. We put one on a napkin and it immediately started to soak the oil off. I got the ribeye and it was a sorry little thing and way over cooked for medium-well. I sent that right back and they said they'd take it off the bill. Which I found funny since I wasn't planning to pay for food they screwed up. Not to mention our waiter checked on us once and I had to the hostess and a busboy for assistance. So basically I ended up with no dinner and sat there watching my daughter eat her pizza. I haven't been to an Applebee's in over 10 years because I felt their food had hit a plateau. We were up in Stockton RV'ing and our group decided to go. Thursday Night Football was on and Applebee's has televisions! I was very surprised. The food was good and Christopher, our waiter, was excellent! I was in the mood for pasta and he suggested the chicken broccoli fettucine. I loved it. My wife enjoyed the Oriental Chicken Salad. My friend said his ribs were bland. Hello. I would like to file a complaint against one of the waiters that was helping us tonight on 7/12/2025. The waiter that was ALANNA. I had asked for refills multiple times times and never came to do it, I also asked for a flavor drink and to sing to my 15 year old sister birthday and never received the drink or to sing for my relative. After I was getting ready to leave she started running towards us at fast paste thinking we was going to steal and started to have attitude about how we was going to pay and after I told her million times as well we was paying with cash. After paying for the meal of $200+. While the waiter was ONLY worried about paying for the bill instead while we were waiting to be sing too for one of my relatives. While I was waiting to speak to the Main Manager on Night and the waiter, ALANNA. Was talking to the two young gentlemen about how we was disrespectful and gave us ONLY Free refills. I don't appreciate the amount of wait time my party was waiting and how she kept being very disrespectful about the situation and need to be on work probation due to this or needs to be in training again about her tone and the way her customer service is unacceptable. Came here for dinner with the family. The pretzels were actually not bad. Soft and warm. I ordered the three cheese Mac with chicken which was on the 2 for $32. There was hardly any cheese (more like pasta water?) on the pasta and there were three little chicken strips sitting on top drenched in some kind of overly sweet sauce. Not edible at all. I come here for the mudslide. I like the drinks enough but the food is always sub-par. You barely get ANY dip with the spinach dip and what you do get isn't that good. We tried the riblets the other night and neither flavor was very good. The fish and chips was ok but the service is always poor. Also, why do they force their waitresses to push gift cards?
