Niçoise salad
Nicole N.

The fish tacos were delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. The Niçoise salad wasn't quite what I expected, but it was still enjoyable. Overall, the food felt a bit mediocre for the price point. That said, the service was friendly and efficient, and our food came out quickly. The outdoor patio is absolutely lovely on a nice day and really adds to the overall experience.

Been here a few times now. Arlequin wine merchants is attached on the side where we got our bottle of orange wine. They have good recs, but there is a $10 corkage fee (which I think they waive on Mondays). The outdoor patio is the biggest selling point here, with lovely trees overlooking the tables and providing some nice shade dappled with sunshine. The burger is a bit on the pinker side, so I'd recommend well done if that's something you care about. The curly fries and Mac n cheese were my favorite, with the Mac being a bit smokier. Also fyi the kids burger is the same size as the adult one, it just doesn't have all the fixings!

I remember this place when it was Arlequin. Same great fast casual vibe with lots of seating, indoor and outside. Really love the no-fuss approach of ordering at the counter, but still getting a nice ambiance that is far from fast food. Mac & Cheese: Wanted a light, but indulgent, lunch and this hit the spot. Comes out on a hot iron skillet in a thin later of mac with tons of cheese gratinéed on top. Seemed like high quality cheese too, since it had a complex flavor profile. Fried Chicken Sandwich: Seemed to be one of the most popular items here. Must have been made from scratch to order, since the batter was so crispy and fresh, it couldn't have been re-fried. Seems to be a long and thin chicken thigh. Not that flavorful in the solo bites sticking outside the sandwich, but delicious with sauces and slaw. The sauce had a nice spicy tang to it. Curly Fries: Such a fun and nostalgic side. I especially like the tight coils, which have the best texture. Nice spices on the outside. The ketchup kinda tasted homemade, with a strong yummy vinegar edge.

Stopped on our way to a Sketchfest show. There was a bit of a line to order, but it went quickly. I ordered the falafel burger and a beer. The burger was excellent - perfect crunch on the outside, moist inside. Plenty of toppings. It was a bit messy, though, and I ended up using my fork. I was glad to see they had local beer on draft, though the selection wasn't great. The patio in the back is magical - very pretty at night and there's music Thurs, Fri, and Sat. Only saw one mouse. Would eat here again for sure.

Casual dining spot. Order at the counter and head back to the picturesque backyard and grab a table (or sit inside. I got the Arbor cheeseburger with curly fries and they were both very good. Pics of the menu on Yelp show that the cheeseburger didn't used to include bacon, but it does now! The burger also has lettuce, pickles (I got on the side), sherry-chili onions and Arbor sauce (kind of like thousand Island). I can't say enough about the patio. I didn't take any pictures, but it was perfect for a meal or even just a drink. Dogs are allowed too.

Picturesque patio in back

Arbor is comfort food done well with the cutest patio you'll find anywhere. String lights and heaters and amazing electric lanterns in the landscape mean this patio - which we visited during the day - must be lovely in the evening too. I enjoyed my Baked Mac N Cheese which was so good with its rich Cheddar Pimenton Sauce. Its finish in the broiler seriously activated the perfectly crunchy breadcrumb topping but wow that cast iron skillet was really hot when the server brought the dish to our table. My wife's beautiful fried Fish Fillet Sandwich looked good but wasn't quite as tasty as it was pretty. The fish maybe tasted a little funky and oddly sweet. I think next time she'll pivot to the similarly appointed fried chicken sandwich instead. All good though - the awesome Seasoned Curly Fries were the star of her plate and were epic in their own right. Nice lunch.

My group and I walked in close to closing, but the staff were super nice about it. I thoroughly enjoyed my cheeseburger (although it is on the pricier side). The serving of side fries was very generous and tasty. We didn't get a chance to check out the outdoor patio, but I would definitely come back next time!

OVERCALCULATION ON TAX
Ed L.

SCAMMY: They charge a 12% TAX, on top of the 5% "SF Mandate" (which we know is not a mandate) and then expect a tip on top of that. I don't think most people realize this is why they felt like their food was so expensive for their portion. I love the patio, I wish I could patron them again but this is outrageous and scammy to OVERCHARGE on TAX.

FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH and fish tacos

Pleasant lunch spot. Lots of seating with additional patio seatings. Quick and friendly service with generous portions for SF prices.

Soup

I ordered the seasonal butternut squash soup and really liked it. The portion is a bit small but it is a small plate item so not shocking. They were playing a cool country playlist when I was there and I really rocked with it. The service was also great and the food presentation was really pretty.

Love love love the patio and outdoor vibes. This place is good for little apps and drinks and to enjoy the outside scenery. Connected to a wine bar as well I think

Spring Salad
Michele W.

Wandered in after realizing a bit too late that Lers Ros closes between 2:00-5:00 and I am so happy I did! I'm not being hyperbolic when I say this might be the best salad I've ever tasted. Four lightly charred, plump honey butter shrimp over tender field greens and with lots of fresh English peas (hooray for Spring!) with a bit of crunch from shaved carrots, purple asparagus, and watermelon radish. Perfectly dressed with a lemony sweet pea hummus. Paired perfectly with a wine-based "Negroni." Loved sitting under a mature willow tree on the beautiful and beautiful spacious garden patio. Got my eye on the lobster bisque for my next visit

Chicken sandwich and curly fries
Cecilia B.

Service was quick, the food was delicious, the chicken was crispy and had a slight sweet flavor. We sat in the patio and everything was very clean and there is no direct sun so it wasn't too hot or cold. The water is self serve. The curly fries were also seasoned perfectly. Great lunch spot overall

Caesar salad with fried chicken. Portion of the salad and chicken used to be double this size.

It's convenitly located on the first floor right inside the window, so you can miss it. There were a couple other food vendors down there, including a full bar, and they were playing some World Cuo matches, which was a nice touch. Making a burger choice was tough, but I went with the double OG, which did not let me down. The lace was crispy, and the flavor combination of the ingredients was perfect. It was a top smash burger in the bay, and I'd def go again if in the area.

"Smish Smash I was taking a bath, long about a Wednesday night, yeah!!!" Okay I'm no Bobby Darin,…read morebut I am quite the aspiring burger aficionado and the smash burgers being handcrafted at Smish Smash are some of the best and most affordable in the entire city of San Francisco! And when Food & Wine Magazine calls this burger one of the most exciting in the U.S., I for one was implored to take notice and visit! Located on the first floor of Saluhall on Market Street in downtown San Francisco next to the IKEA store, Smish Smash started as a pop-up six years ago by owners Am y Han and Victor Donado. Just last year they opened their first stand-alone location on the first floor of Saluhall, which to be quite honest has struggled to keep their other vendors open. Thankfully, Smish Smash has had the benefit of being on the first floor with a view of Market Street, not to mention a great word of mouth thanks to their exceptional smashed burgers that has not only many burger lovers coming in, but quite the number of delivery drivers coming in to pick up burger orders galore. What brought me here to Smish Smash was the fact that a friend and I had theatre tickets at the nearby Golden Gate Theatre and we decided that we needed something quick and delicious before we walked back to the theatre to sit for almost three hours of a show. They suggested that we try this amazing and fun burger concept that was garnering significant buzz and so meeting up at Saluhall was the way to go as they had complimentary WiFi access and plenty of clean and open seating. The menu at Smish Smash is of course filled with burger options with no fewer than seven on their regular menu and a rotating special menu items including items with chili on them including fries, hot dog, and chili in a bowl, not to mention a couple of extra burgers to boot. Each of their burgers on their regular menu has the option of ordering it as a single or double smash burger. Since it was my first time, I ordered a single version of their Cheeseboiga, which had yellow American cheese, pickles, caramelized onions, and mac sauce. My dining mate ordered a single version of their Wow Burger which was topped with white American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, and s2 sauce, which is a combination of mayonnaise and relish, with an order of a side of Curly Fries which were cooked in beef tallow, our total bill was 33 dollars before taxes and gratuity were added in. It wouldn't take too long for our order to be custom made by their team and we enjoyed every last bite while sitting at their communal dining inside the Saluhall. The most noticeable thing that I noticed about the smash burgers at Smish Smash was the fact how thin their smashed burgers were, almost paper like thinness, which made for a unique dining experience. But what was lacking in overall heft of the burger was more than made up in terms of overall juiciness and flavor of my overall burger, of which came out clear on the grease and flavor on my fingertips as I ate every last bite. So good was my experience at Smish Smash that a return visit mere a couple of months later was in order when I attended a show at the nearby Orpheum Theatre. With complimentary WiFi and water available to customers, this time I ordered their Smish Smash Special which was their Dac Biet smash burger which was their signature grass-fed smashed beef topped with white American cheese, sliced onions, jalapeños, cilantro, Thai basil, alfalfa sprouts, lime and pho aioli. This particular smash burger, which cost 16 dollars, was a little on the healthier side as the sprouts, onions, and cilantro overpowered everything, but the flavor profile did make it feel as if I was enjoying a bowl filled with pho noodles with all the fixings. I appreciate what Smish Smash is trying to do, as an up and coming entrepreneurial business from pop-up to permanent business in an area that could seriously use the support, I am all in with what Smish Smash is offering up on a daily basis, good affordable trendy smash burgers that makes burger lovers coming back for more and then some! "I was a-moving and a-grooving, yeah I was a-smishing and a-smashing..."

Diners tip: the burger comes with onions, and we both asked for them to be grilled. This is definitely the way to go. The burger is very generous in size, snd delicious. Perfectly seasoned, well-made, and it is that taste sensation that we all crave when eating a burger. The fries were tasty and lightly seasoned, and if you can get through the entire burger and the fries, you get a gold star. You will then go to the counter to pay and order any house-made cream cheeses there. The vibes are very chill and relaxed. I really love these bagels because of their fluffy interior but nice bite. When paired with their cream cheeses, it makes such a balanced combination. The calabrian chili has a very small hint of spice, but it's whipped to perfection! Overall, I have yet to experience another standout bagel spot like this in the city and will continue to come here!

Sushi-grade ahi tuna, sliced avocado, green cabbage and cilantro slaw, green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and spicy mayo, all in crispy taco shells. The shells held up through delivery, the tuna tasted genuinely fresh, and the spicy mayo brought just enough heat to keep things interesting without overwhelming the fish. The avocado was generous too, which is worth calling out since that's exactly the ingredient a lot of places quietly skimp on. Three tacos were substantial. I was surprisingly full. Worth noting: they packaged these in a sturdy cardboard box that kept everything upright and intact. For tacos on DoorDash, that matters more than people think.
