This place is way overpriced. Ever since the renovation & renewal, seems like they introduced a whole new menu with jacked up rates like $3-4 more per item. I believe their curly fries are best in town, always crunchy, salty and fresh, plus the customer service is amazing and the food comes out quick. Arby's...a true throwback. I hadn't eaten it in at least five years. After driving past this location countless times, a friend mentioned that it re-opened after being closed for a remodel. Months later, a different friend mentioned he enjoyed it while on a road trip. With nothing too exciting going on these days, I took this as a sign that it was time to check things out. In retrospect, this was a great decision. I eased back into the menu by ordering familiar favorites: a Beef n Cheddar, curly fries, and an apple turnover. Since variety is the spice of life, I also opted to order something new: a gyro. All in all, these items delivered on expectations. Tasty, convenient, and reasonably priced. Strong flavors and textures all around. Plus, that Arby's and Horseradish sauce add a kick. While this won't become my next vice, it's definitely reassuring to add another solid pick into the good ole fast food rotation. I was excited to see this opened up after remodeling BUT.....the Mac n cheese here is DISGUSTING, I mean I wasn't expecting too much but this is the worst mac n cheese I have ever had in my life!!!!!!!! Haven't visited a Arbys in ages, but saw they now serve a wagyu steak burger. So stopped by to give it a try Monday evening. Ordered the Deluxe combo which is a basic cheese burger with tomato, onions,pickles,lettuce and a special sauce. Choose the crinkle cut fries. Will it took awhile for my food to get ready for pickup even though it was pretty void of customers. Will I give high marks for the fries, hot and crispy with the right amount of salt. The wagyu burger looked and tasted a little well done for my taste but did have a good beef flavor. Nice bun that held up through out my bites with all the ingredients in this burger. Combo cost over $14 so I won't order this again anytime soon. But because of the fries, might try some of the other new menu items. read more

Not a very happy customer. Been trying to visit Arby's and use my app for a couple of weeks now. The app does not work. Today I went in the store and I spoke to the manager about the problem. I guess her English is very limited because she could not understand the problem. I showed her that when I open the app and wants me to sign in and then it would not allow me to sign in. It also won't allow me to sign up. I've uninstalled it several times and the problem is still there. I tried to explain to her that if you can't use the app you can't buy anything. And Arby's loses his money. She seemed not to understand. I guess in the short scheme of things are really doesn't care. And this isn't the first fast food places I've had problems with the app. Basically the employees say "hey, it's not my problem" This new app motivated world is really a sad excuse for business and customer service. I love bbq so I was tempted to try Arby's Smokehouse beef short rib sandwich. Texas toast seemed to be bread that was toasted. Tasted fresh with a nice mild flavor. Little onion rings had potent fried onion flavor. Beef short rib was tender and had a smoky flavor. The strongest flavor was the tangy bbq sauce. It overpowered all the other flavors. Overall the sandwich was good. I prefer it to burgers at places like Jack in the Box or Burger King. I would like this sandwich more if I could get the sauce on the side and apply it myself as I would like less sauce. I also tried the apple turnover. There were a bunch of them sitting around behind the counter. Very flaky texture. Apple filling was sweet and had a nice apple flavor. The pastry itself didn't taste fresh. I feel that were made in the morning as the pastry tasted like it had absorbed the nearby odors. I would be interested in trying a fresh one if I was visiting when they first opened. 2nd visit I tried the Smoke Mountain sandwich with bbq sauce on the side. Looking at the sandwich on the website I thought the sandwich was huge and going to be a huge dinner. The reality it was more a lunch size meal with way less meat than depicted in the picture. Nice smoky flavor from the short rib and brisket. The ham had a nice salty flavor. Onions had a strong salty flavor. Bbq sauce gave it a sweet tangy flavor. This is the best thing I've eaten at Arby's. I prefer this place to Subway but Jersey Mike's is my fav spot to get a sandwich. This place has been around for a long time as evidenced by the weathered old roof. The inside is very clean and modern. I'd eat here again but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. read more

I was hoping to like this new new food item at Arby's located on Clairmont Blvd. I thought to give it a try and drove up to the drive thru. The staff person was nice and gave me my correct order. I ordered 3 of their corn breaded hush puppies fish. I was disappointed in the size of the fish and the smell of it. The smell was really significant and my car reeked of it. Once home, I gave it a try and notice the flakey/ crispy texture of the fish. I think it needs some more seasoning like black pepper, salt, or hot sauce. I tried it with the tarter sauce , but that's overpowering to the fish. My opinion is this fish item is not really good. The price point is too high for what you are getting of almost $6.00 for 3 small fish. I overall give this feature fish a 2 star. A 1 point for customer service and 1 point for the fish. It's a pass for me Yelpers. There are definitely better fried fish places. read more

I do not usually frequent here but came in to try some of the special sandwich's they have recently advertised. This trip I tried the 3 meat sandwich (forget what it is called) that had beef brisket,chicken, and something else. It was good, but not spectacular. The fries were good. I like how they have different sauces for the fries and the burger. The mustard and spicy one are pretty good. Plenty of seating and parking. When Claremont Blvd is busy, it may be a little hard to get in and out with how busy the intersection is. Overall, it is a nice alternative to the better known fast food joints with the different sandwiches they have. read more

Until today I was genuinely saddened by the continuous shut down of Arby's throughout San Diego county. After my experience there this afternoon, I say good riddance. Growing up Arby's was a family favorite, but their quality, and their service has gone down TREMENDOUSLY. The only thing good about my experience was management. My father and I pulled up today, and I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich. When I opened the box, already on the outside there was a huge smear of Buffalo sauce. I open it, and the container is just a portable swimming pool of Buffalo sauce. The structural integrity of this sandwich was no more, the bread was soggy, falling apart, the grease and sauce was making the whole sandwich flop around within the box, and the box was even leaking. Everything about this presentation was SLOPPY AF. Not to mention i no longer have any nose hairs from the physical assault I received from the vinegar overload when I opened the sandwich box. Then we go back and Management gracefully replaced the sand which with two beef and cheddars. I was happy with this trade in until I opened the sandwiches and they were all lopsided, sloppy, and LOADED with an unnecessary amount of red sauce. A decent amount of cheddar. Gordon Ramsey would spit in this company's face in the amount of money wasted on their wastefulness on product. Not that fast food places are even worth his attention. But portion control on sauces is a big issue at this place. Considering over the last few years so many Arby's have shut down, you'd think that these remaining establishments would like to remain every bit of dignity and integrity on the name of the chain they have left. HOO BOY. This Arby's was an absolute mess when we came in. People were leaving their cars in the drive-thru to come in and complain about the wait (some had been waiting for half an hour!) We only came in because we had coupons, and I'm not sure if we'll be back. On one hand, I really have to give it to Arby's in terms of creativity. They have gyros, sliders, mozzarella sticks, and all sorts of weird stuff. On the other hand, execution is poor (but it's the thought that counts right?). The Cajun turkey burger was good. I have to admit, it was not a bad Smoke House Brisket sandwich I had for lunch at his Arby's. If it were not for the amount of untrimmed fat in the brisket slices, it probably would of been a four star event. I picked up the combo deal which came with a drink of my choice, iced tea, and an order of their famous seasoned fries. Oh yes, I asked for no mayo on my brisket sandwich! Like I said, the brisket did have a pretty good smoky flavor. I am not sure if they use a liquid smoke or a traditional smoking method on their brisket but it was tasty and tender. I just wish there were less fat and more meat. The sandwich came with smoked Gouda which was melted throughout the sandwich, crispy onions were which were great, and a smearing of BBQ sauce. The artisan style bun was very good and moist.. Service was friendly enough. It was a little rushed but being the middle of lunch rush, it was understandable. The GM here is super cool. I was having a stressful day at work and took a late lunch. Completely prepared to wait out the lunch rush and accepted being late back to work. Went inside since the drive thru was packed. Waited a few minutes in line. The GM here took my order, and while the receipt was printing packed my food and sauce and handed it to immediately since I ordered the basic meal. This little thing might not seem like a big deal but I was really stressing a out getting back in time and was blown away. Left work and came back with food in hand in 15 minutes tops. This is actually the only Arby's I know of north of the 8 freeway. I feel like it's a very underrated restaurant and should have more locations. The positives: It's very close to the freeway. Their roast beef sandwiches are bomb. The chicken cordon bleu sandwich is orgasmic. Prices are reasonable. AIDE at the drive thru was very nice. The negatives: The service/drive thru is sloooooooow. The parking lot is a sh*t show. The positives and negatives seem to cancel each other out. The longer I wait in the drive thru, the hungrier I get, and the more worthwhile every bite of my sandwich is. So it's kind of a mind f*ck that they torture you with a long wait but the food ALMOST makes up for it and then you immediately forgive and forget that they made you wait so long. I decided to stop at this location after my doctors appointment. I was actually craving a classic meat sandwich. When I walked in there were several people standing around waiting for their orders and it seemed that the only people that the employees were taking care of were the people in the drive-through line. And it was a long line on top of it. That's why I went inside! It took them probably a good seven minutes to greet me, then say they'd be right with me. I waited another 5 or 6 minutes And still there was no customer response from your employees. There was an individual that was picking up a mobile order that had several beverages, there were no beverage holders for this particular person to carry her drinks out. How does that happen?? Again I still got no acknowledgment from your employees!! Another customer walked in who had been waiting for his food for unknown amount of time and he was still waiting for it. At this point it's over 10 minutes of me standing around waiting for somebody to take an order when nobody was even talking me, so I left!! Your loss This isn't the first time that I've had this experience at this particular store and I can guarantee you I won't be back again. I'll travel further away to get the sandwich, than to stand there and be ignored by employees who would just rather walk around and not contact their customers. I was never a big fan of Arbys but recently I've come to love the roast beef. My favorite items are the french dip, roast beef and cheese, and the roast beef slider with jalapeno. I've tried the newer items like the King's Hawaiian Deluxe fish sandwich and I was very disappointed. I've learned to stick to the items that I l know I like. As far as Arby's go this one is probably one of the better locations. The lines during lunch move quickly and my order has only been incorrect once. The food is usually hot and fries fresh. I have no real complaints about the food or service. Make sure to sign up for emails from Arby's. A terribly-run operation in a bad location, especially regarding traffic safety. My three experiences here (since the place reopened after being remodeled) have been negative. Just getting into the drive-up queue is a nightmare in terms of spacing behind vehicles wrapped around the building in a u-shape. The drive-through service is slow, which adds to the congestion in the parking lot--whilst several vehicles wanting to leave the lot cannot get out because of the back-log of cars in the order line. Service inside the store is not much better. Wait-time is slow; I've waited over half-an-hour at 11:15 in the morning. Workers try, but the congestion of this place (caused in part because so many other Arby's have closed) makes my blood pressure explode; therefore, I can't risk coming here again. I will have to drive all the way to Point Loma to get Arby's, which won't be too often, I am afraid. read more

So....I was reading my girl Kate's review of Arbys and she mentioned the Smokehouse Brisket Sandwich. I have seen the commercials too and it looked good. I decided to get one. First thing I noticed was that it was expensive ($5.89 just for the sandwich). I got that and a 3 piece chicken strips. My total was just over $10.00. Here is how the food was.......... Smokehouse Brisket Sandwich- Wow! This thing was great. Small, but great. It has a nice bun, a decent amount of brisket (you could totally taste the smoke flavor.....I was impressed), a slice of smoked gouda, onion straws and a tangy bbq sauce. It was kind of small though. I could have eaten 2 of these and had been satisfied, but my wallet would have been sad lol. It was one of the better fast food sandwiches I can remember eating though and I would get it again. Even though the Arby's in my neighborhood of Mira Mesa closed a couple of years ago, I still get the chain's email coupons from time to time. Recently, I got a coupon for their new Loaded Curly Fries with purchase of a premium sandwich, so that got my interest piqued. Off to go to the closest one near me, which is the Clairemont Mesa Blvd. location... Normally, when I go to an Arby's, I tend to order the Beef and Cheddar - at least this location is still on point when making my favorite sandwich there. Arby's "has the meats," and there was plenty of it on my order. The cheese sauce wasn't too messy, and a little bit of that Arby's Sauce sure goes a long way in adding to the flavor. As for the Loaded Curly Fries - while the diced bacon, melted cheese, and ranch sauce toppings go well with the fries, it would've been much better if the fries were crispy. Small wonder that I stick to the potato cakes. This location's parking lot is a bit on the cramped side, so watch out for that. read more
