Ask the Community - Archers Bikes

    Do you service KBO eBike?

Yes, we can work on the KBO.

I would like to bring in my 2013 Micargi beach cruiser to have new tubes and tires put on, about how much is the cost? Thank you.

Tires are about $25 each, depending on the one you select. Tubes are about $10 each, but you might get a thorn resistant tube for a bit more. Usually, these can be changed while you wait.

I had no idea where to turn and chose Freeride based on online reviews. What a great choice! Brian figured out the problems and what parts were needed, and tried 3 different sets of training wheels before finding a set that fit properly. The look on my grandson's face as he rode his bike the first time was priceless, and I wished Brian had been there to see the fruits of his labor. As luck would have it my bike broke two days later. I took it right in to Brian, who was able to get me back on the road in no time. Both times I was in the shop it was packed with customers. (It reminded me of some little hole-in-the-wall diner that is always crowded.) Brian and the staff there made time for each customer, who ranged from young kids to senior citizens. The store is packed with bikes and accessories, but for me the repair section had my full attention. Repair costs were very fair and reasonable. This store is the epitome of small business. I will be back. If you need a bike, or e-bike, or accessories, or repairs, do yourself a favor and visit Freeride. You won't be disappointed.

Ben and Hudson in the front we're about as cool as they come as well... both were avid cyclists and super knowledgable about anything that comes with two wheels (leave your girlfriend at home though cuz Ben looks like a 20 year old Justin Timberlake) the service cost was super reasonable as well and after about 10-15 minutes I was out the door singing (bye bye bye)

On a Tuesday, I called the Chandler location (spoke to Nick) and was quoted a "sale" price of $450 for a specific bicycle. When I arrived an hour later, Nick says that the price tag of $450 was a mistake. He refused to honor the price. Just a few days later, I found another bike listed on their website on "sale". I called the Ahwatukee location to confirm availability, only to be told by Thomas that the online price was incorrect and would not be honored. This happened twice in one week, at two different locations, with two different employees, and two different bikes. That's not a one-time error -- it's a pattern. Whether it's intentional or just sloppy, it feels like classic bait-and-switch behavior. I did end up purchasing a different bike from them out of necessity, but I absolutely would not recommend this store to anyone. There are plenty of other bike shops that are more honest and reliable with their pricing. Shop elsewhere.

Well this is actually a story of good and bad. The good is…read morethat they had the tire I was looking for. Whether old and nearing obsolescence, I was trying to match what I had on my back tire and during my phone search yesterday I found that they had what I was looking for. Looking around their store I must say they had los of merchandise. The bad... seriously weighing the $10 fee for installing my new tire on the rim, I decided to let them do it. Now I certainly am no bicycle expert, just a person who likes to ride. One would expect the people who work in a bike store to be the experts. This tire is directional, as was the one that needed to be replaced. They didn't care. Perhaps it makes no difference which side the lever is on but to your anal, non-professional, you expect the lever to be on the same side it was on with the previous tire. One would expect that the serviceman would look at the old tire and then match up the new tire. This did not happen and now I basically wasted the $10 as I had to take the tire/rim apart and install it the way I think is correct. Details... to some it matters to some it doesn't. Attention to detail is something that matters to me. As a professional in a different field it means a lot. In the end I say... LANDIS, use them to buy if the price,is right but for service of a bicycle, go elsewhere. Go somewhere where details, no matter how small and perhaps insignificant actually matter.

BUYER BEWARE!! DO NOT PURCHASE A VELOTRIC BIKE!! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ROGUE ELECTRIC CYCLERY IN…read morePHOENIX!! Battery is terrible. Warranty with Velotric is worthless. Rogue sells you a high-priced bike, pockets your money, and takes no responsibility when things go bad. I paid $1,500 for a new Velotric Fold1 in late 2025. By Spring 2026, the battery (with a full charge) would go only 2 to 3 miles, then completely die. After cooperating with Velotric's warranty department to troubleshoot, they concluded what was obvious: it needs a new battery. Only after several weeks of back and forth troubleshooting did they inform me they have no batteries in stock and it would be another 2 months until they had any. They provided no compensation of any kind for the major disruption, nor did Rogue Electric Cyclery. Both Velotric and Rogue Electric Cyclery continue to sell new very expensive Fold 1 bikes that come with new batteries. However, neither Velotric nor Rogue is willing to provide one of those batteries to cover a customer's legitimate warranty issue. I am still waiting for a new battery covered under warranty.
