Incorrect calculations used on permit that lead to invalid leakage results. Not happy with service.

My wife and I recently did a full heat, A/C install complete with ducting and everything. Bellow's hired Archon Energy Solutions to do the testing. I honestly could not be more impressed with the company and more importantly with Jose Garcia. This young man was sent to our place and he could not be more professional! This guy knew the process in and out and was amazingly nice and explained everything. Kevin Deleon from Archon came to my home and conducted the required energy inspection on the newly installed Fujitsu Heat Pump furnace by A-1 Guaranteed Heating and Air Conditioning. Kevin called me half of an hour before the appointment to inform me of his arrival time and was right on time. Fabulous! I give an A+ to the Office Staff who set up the appointment, and to the technician who tested our new heating and air systems., David Gallegos. He was on time, knowledgeable and very nice. Our house is a combo of 1948 to 2006 remodel, so it wasn't as straight forward to inspect. It was also very hot in the attic, and yet David remained positive and had a lot of knowlege about older homes. At the end they give you a card detailing on how to close the building permit. My first experience with Archon was yesterday when Byron Pena showed up right on schedule to inspect and test my newly installed dual fuel HVAC system that's required procedure before the final inspection takes place by the city inspector. I was very impressed with Byron's knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to communicate and explain what he was doing with an enthusiastic attitude, especially since I'm a curious customer... Luckily, my HVAC system passed with flying colors, and within 24 hours, this very morning to be precise, I received an email from Archon with all the documentation required that allowed me to call the city and schedule the final inspection tomorrow morning which is a required condition to release my $1.000 rebate. Colton was engaging, answered all of my questions, and was pleasant to have around. He cleaned up the minimal amount of stuff generated from the testing process, explained how the next part of the permit closure process would work, gave me a card of with the information that he just told me on it, and was out of my house as soon as he was done. Update - Archon applied for a $300 rebate from StopWaste a BayREN affiliated organization and the check arrived today. So the $700 cost of my Manual J heat load test has been reduced to $400, a price much closer to the reported market price of $300. Archon essentially is charging customers for this rebate which they then apply for and the customer receives after it is approved. read more
