We have been using Ares Pest Control for a few years now. We were recommended to them by our previous company as they were moving to a different business area. Tom is great! He is very dependable, knowledgeable, and also communicative. We use Ares for both our home and our business. So our roof rat ordeal started with taking my car in for an oil change and being alerted to some chewing of wires under the hood. That snowballed into rat droppings in my garage and inside my vehicle. From there it was all down hill. I contacted Thom and spoke with him in detail on the phone. He conducted a thorough inspection of our attic, the crawl space under the house as well as the perimeter of our home. Fortunately in our case the problem was isolated to our garage. I moved into a rental home in Vallejo at the beginning of the pandemic. The house was old and the owners had lived here for decades and the dangling cobwebs from the ceiling, walls, and opaque windows showed they hadnt been cleared in years. Tom is reliable and hands on. He can get rid of wasp nests and can tell you if there are baby birds in a nest so you don't have to throw the nest away. He cares about the people he is serving, so he tells you when to shut your windows so no pesticides go in. He is responsive and comes in a day or so depending on the work load. We were very happy with our experience with Ares, and we highly recommend using the service for your needs. During the pandemic we saw a huge increase in rats in our neighborhood, and we reached a crisis point when they started appearing in the yard during the day. Then we found a burrow in our yard. We called Ares and got a very personalized consult, and were so grateful for the incredibly knowledgeable discussion of our options. He was very understanding about our long list of questions and concerns related to the rats and also to the safety of out kids and pets. We ultimately settled on a plan and have a monthly service that has completely changed our experience of our yard. We aren't seeing rats anymore. As an added bonus, when the city vector control agent came out for a consult a little while after Ares and took a look at things he commented that it was a super professional job. He noted in particular that it was totally compliant with all the regulations and safety requirements, and took note of the company. We are VERY pleased with the outcome, and the ongoing service.
