I was disappointed that when I came in their pastry case had only 2 scones (pretty much empty for a Monday Morning) so beware that they might not have baked goods if you visit. The location is very convenient though. Due to the close proximity to the ferry station, this also easy to grab a quick bite before hopping on.

There are lots of options to pick from so take your time. We also split an order of French Fries which were great! For our sweet tooth we got an Amaretto Milkshake and it was excellent! We really enjoyed this one! It was non-alcoholic and we got this particular one because this was a flavor one doesn't usually associate with milkshake options. We are so glad that we got to try it! The Grub Hut is very, very popular or at least it was when we were there and there was a small line to place our order, very little room to sit and the wait time to get our food was about 25 minutes. We didn't think that was too bad and we thought it was "johnny on the spot" timing at work to tell us that at the time that the order was placed. And I suppose they have it down to an art and need to give out times like this as this restaurant is right by the ferry terminal and Kingston so I imagine a lot of people who are using the ferry need that kind of information to plan accordingly with their meals and arrival/departure times with the ferry.

I had two sandwiches I don't recall which ones but they were pretty good! I was hoping to get a coffee in the morning after a walk one day, but I didn't know exactly what to order because there was no menu. I did hear one of the workers say they could make basically anything. I came and ordered ice cream for the beach. It was a little pricey for scoops of ice cream, I also think I saw a price for it on the board but was charged a little more, so many the board needs updating. Overall a cute spot to check out if you're around. On the weekends they do a little local farmers market across the street. Fun to check out also.
