I am not sure what to believe. I had a Botox injection and the results were much, much less than I expected for the high price I paid. I went back to have Dr Kauvar look at it a month after and was told the full effects might not show for another month. This contradicts everything I read online about how long it takes for Botox to take effect. I feel like I got ripped off. read more

Dr Kauvar is a laser-guru! She has all the latest and greatest treatments to make you look youthful and radiant! I think it is very important to go to someone who not only knows everything there is to know about lasers (she has actually helped develop many of the procedures) but also helps you in making the right decisions about what treatment to have. I only trust Dr Kauvar because she is also an expert in skin cancer and has always recommended treatments that are also improving the health of my skin besides making me look younger.! read more

I had a very unpleasant experience with this office. I was contacted to participate in a research study that they were running. During the telephone screening, I was told that they were looking for subjects with age-spots and I said that I have several of those. Never once did the screener mention that they only wanted subjects with *clusters* of age-spots. So I traveled over an hour each way to Dr. Kauvar's office, only to be sent away after 30 seconds. This all could have been avoided if they had only screened me properly over the phone. When I asked for some sort of compensation for wasting almost three hours of my time (like maybe a product or a treatment) they completely blew me off. If you're looking for a dermatologist who is professional and caring, obviously Dr. Kauvar is not a good candidate. Stay away. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Kauvar's for about 6 months now and highly recommend her for mohs surgery. I was referred to her by my general dermatologist after a red spot on my forehead my turned out to be a basal cell carcinoma. From the first consultation to the follow up after surgery I was greeted with nothing but professionalism and wonderful caring staff. 6 months later, my scar is barely noticeable and I am now planning on returning for laser treatments to treat my rosacea. read more

Warning, PLEASE DO NOT GO TO SEE DR. KAUVER IF YOU HAVE MELASMA. Dr. Kauver not only is rude and has zero empathy but she will throw procedures at you that you don't need and will make your skin look worse. I read Dr. Kauvar's study on Melasma and thought it was going to be my saving grace but sadly it was not. I went to her office in August, and for starters the woman working at the front desk is miserable. She is not kind and honestly very rude to patients. Dr. Kauver said I needed her special treatment for melasma, which includes micro and the Q-YAG laser. She also sold me on another treatment for red skin. She threw and a bunch of products at me and told me that I couldn't buy them online because they might be expired. I went back a month later, and my skin had gotten worse. I was crying and instead of being warm and kind, she and her nurse told me that it was my fault for being in the sun (I wasn't in the sun at all). They told me that sadly, I was the 1% of clients that her magical procedure didn't work for. They offered up no other solution and left me with worse Melasma and a $1,400 bill to show for it. Please trust me, this doctor is not worth going to unless you want simple fillers done. I have no idea how she has published so many papers and is a professor. Not to mention that her own skin is terrible which should have been a huge red flag. read more

She is kind of doctor who will send you to collections for a very insignificant amount of money. Supposedly, my insurance didn't cover part of my visit, which I was unaware of at my visit. I had also recently moved and although I sent my new address to the post office, I didn't update every single person that I had ever come in contact with. Dr. Arielle Kauvar hired an attorney to hit my credit report. The cost of attorney's fees is likely well above and beyond the co-pay visit. I am unsure why no one called my phone. It was about 45 min passed my appointment time, and was called in to a room and waited for about another 45 min. Assistants were all very nice (a plus star point for them), but no apology from the doctor. When I came in for the second appointment, they made me wait again for about the same amount of time, and no apology from the doctor. I've seen Dr. Kauvar several times now for Botox. Hands down, her injection delivery is the very best. I've never once left with detectable marks and have never bruised. Rather amazing, as I know it's very common for some marking to occur for at least a day or two. She's so patient, careful and meticulous. I want a super natural look, and she makes a point to start slowly and ensure that I'm happy with results. She's incredibly smart and takes the time to discuss the pros and cons of various treatments. Love her and the office. Staff is very professional and office is super clean. The office has a very chill, zen energy. Very clean, and quiet. Everything about it feels private, discreet-- from the front door on in. Great office staff (the ones I dealt with were super nice). Not a place I can afford to go to regularly, unfortunately, and the supplementary treatment products require extra room in your budget, but unlike some of the other reviewers, my appointment was handled in a timely, pleasant manner. read more
