Whether I needed 5/8" grade 8 bolts to mount a monster vise to my work bench or 8/32" filister head machine screws for a 1948 bench grinder, these guys pretty much have it all. The owners are super helpful, friendly and just all around great people. I never leave bad reviews about any store because I never care enough. But the interaction I had today was actually crazy. I thought I might've been on a prank show. There was nothing wrong with my return -- I wasn't upset, I wasn't being difficult, and I had no problem with Harbor Freight's policy. I just asked a simple question about why the process seemed different than usual. In response, Elizabeth became visibly agitated, spoke over me, and said, "Since you're in the military, you need to learn some patience," referencing the uniform I had on. That comment really threw me off. I don't think wearing a uniform makes me better than anyone else, but it definitely doesn't make me the person you pick a fight with -- especially when nothing is wrong. I wasn't being rude or sarcastic, but she treated me like I was. The part that confused me the most is that she seemed to create a scenario in her head and then react to it. It felt like she was projecting some kind of frustration onto me, even though I was calm and just asking a question. The manager eventually stepped in to explain the return system, and I had to clarify multiple times that I wasn't upset with the policy at all -- I had no issue with the return process. My issue was her attitude and behavior, which turned a normal interaction into something extremely uncomfortable for no reason. She was escalating a situation that never existed. I left that store upset and confused. I've spent thousands of dollars at Harbor Freight and have always had good experiences -- until now. I hope this gets addressed, because that kind of customer interaction is unacceptable.

As I walked in the first thing I noticed was the whole store was rearranged. All I came here to buy was fluorescent light bulbs. I mean I managed to find them quite quickly but even so the aisles were much longer than before. As anyone shopping for anything now many of the expensive items are locked up, which makes the shopping experience not so easy like it used to be. Just glad I was only looking for light bulbs and not something that was locked up. I have been a customer of the Ace Hardware stores for many years and only because I don't have to wonder through a bunch of items like your big hardware stores. Changes sometimes takes one to get used to but I don't often stop at this store very often so it's a good thing for me. This store is very busy on weekends and glad I have the opportunity to shop during the week. One thing I can say is that they always have good employees that are helpful.
