I was very thrown off by the pics from the past yelp and when I walked in and saw this AMAZING coffee shop. The space looks incredible! I had zero clue of new ownership or a renovation. My husband and I just moved from Kansas City, so when my friends back home saw I was here, they freaked haha. But I love it all! Plus a drive thru gets you bonus points for when this mama needs a quick pick-me-up and I don't want to get my kids out of the car, lol. My vanilla oatmilk latte was great and my husband loved his americano. I'm excited to go back and enjoy more drinks and the new lovely space....and drive thru! read more

Supporting small businesses as much as we can in the midst of the COVID19. With that said I can't comment about the inside as shops during this time are only allowed to stay open for to go or drive thru. Conveniently they were renovating the inside anyway. It was the perfect day for some cold brew so I grabbed an iced white chocolate and a nitro cold brew for the hubby. We also grabbed two cream cheese danish. Coffee were great. But let me tell you about the danish. Oh my. It was so soft and fluffy and the filling was creamy. It honestly tasted fresh out of the oven. The danish was enough to have me running back. But alas I forgot to try the avocado toast so I'll definitely be back for more. Great friendly staff and they had sanitizers readily available at the drive thru window. It wasn't great. Atmosphere was kind of cool but the vibe is snobby. I tried the apple bourbon latte with oatmilk and my husband a peppermint white mocha and we ordered an oatmilk hot chocolate for our daughter. The drinks weren't awful, but nothing to write home about. There's several other places on that general area we prefer. Seating inside was filled and outdoor seating was available for us. read more

Coffee is alright, however I had a lot of work I had to get done and WiFi wasn't working. Wasted my time since I ordered a coffee and sat down. Had to relocate to another coffee shop. Avoid if you don't want to take a chance on broken wifi. wish I got reimbursement for my time wasted here. Sucks that I liked their coffee but couldn't sit there to work. read more

I was excited to try a local owned coffee shop for my morning latte while I was in town. There's probably nothing worse than walking into a shop that has no line and very few people in it, only to have three baristas look at you and not even acknowledge you and continue on with their bullshit banter behind the counter. I waited the standard few minutes at the counter, got a good look at the sad offerings in the display case, decided I'd pass on any food and get a coffee...and still no one acknowledged me. Looked through the window and saw the bakery & coffeeshop across the street and decided to go over there instead. I didn't appreciate having my time wasted on a busy morning. How an independent shop expects to treat customers so poorly and compete directly across the street from a large bakery that has great coffee & food products and is very friendly, is beyond me. Don't waste your time here. Find a shop that will be grateful to earn your business. read more

When I walked a really sweet blonde barista said "Hey welcome" and that was the only nice barista there the others all had a very sour look, like they hated being there. I ordered a cappuccino in a mug, it was out at a decent time but, it was very off just big lump of foam. I could tell the barista didn't have any good training and unfortunately the taste off the espresso was not good either. I will say this is an good spot for getting work done there is lots of chargers and spots to sit alone at a table with good wifi. I wouldn't get any hot drinks maybe just a drip coffee would be good but anything with steamed milk will most likely be really foamy and probably too hot especially for a cappuccino! 3 things for this shop to work on 1: Customer service 2: Quality of drinks 3: Re-Train and quality of training 3 things this shop is good for 1: Speed (very fast at getting orders done 2: Design this place is very well designed 3: Good study/work it is very chill with comfy chairs read more

I love this spot. This was one of my first coffee shops I found when I moved to the DFW Metroplex from New York City. They got great staff, a convenient drive thru (which doesn't happen in the Big Apple), and great coffee. Definitely recommend them. read more

I stopped here on the way to McKinney and was extremely satisfied with my choice. Village Coffee is in a convenient location, right off of 75 and close to many shops. It was a Saturday morning; the coffee shop was crowded, but still had seats available. I got the toasted pecan latte and it was delicious! I only sat for a few minutes before heading out, but the couch area was so cute. I will definitely visit every time I am going to Allen Outlets! read more

We wanted to get a flight of coffee because they're so unique and we're not from Texas and our state doesn't have them, unfortunately. Someone recommended Armor and we were not disappointed. We got the latte flight and the cookie butter latte was SO good! Nice, flavorful coffee. Their breakfast tacos were delicious and filling! You really only need one! The cheese they use is so different but appealing to someone that appreciates a variety of textures and flavors in each bite. The pickled onions add a slight sweetness and zing to each bite as well. The customer service was great and prompt. Our coffee flight was ready by the time we finished ordering and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be at work on a Sunday morning. The dine in is not available right now during the pandemic, but drive thru is available. Awesome! Super quick and easy transaction, especially if you are on to go. My husband and I are not big coffee drinkers, but love tea. I got the matcha tea latte with oat milk and he got the London fog with oat milk as well. The matcha was light in flavor, so I'm not sure if I would get this again. However, I did enjoy the London Fog and that would be something I would be interested in for next time. I had a look at the menu and while they serve usual coffee drink items, they also serve cafe food items like avocado toast, bagels, and Belgian waffles. They also have beer and wine, which looks like a good option for happy hour when their dining room reopens. The customer service we received, although limited to drive thru, was pretty friendly during the order and payment/pickup! read more

This was the first local coffee shop in the google maps listings. I didn't read anything about it or look at the pictures, I just went for it. This is a dangerous thing when it comes to coffee shops. The atmosphere is minimal/modern with moments of reclaimed wood. Restrooms were clean and smelled fantastic. Customer service was excellent. But all of these things can be present in a coffee shop and the coffee can still suck. Or the ingredients/cups/napkins can be poor quality - and these things greatly affect the coffee shop experience. I'm happy to report that the pumpkin spice latte with half flavor (I don't like it too sweet) is exceptional. The organic, homemade syrup tastes like it was created by a chef - delicate pumpkin tanginess, with subtle spice and sweetness. So, so good. This is taking a basic, douchebag thing like the pumpkin spice latte and showing us how good it can be. Thank god I am just basic enough to order one. Allow me to say, though, that ALL of this can be present and the overall experience can still leave something to be desired. I'm happy to report this is 100% not the case at Village Coffee. I am writing this review because I just took a sip of my delicious almond milk latte and the lid was so noticeably high quality I had to give props to this place. This goes for the cup, too. High quality materials, excellent flavor, great customer service - these are all evidence of thoughtful ownership/management. This was my first time visiting Village Coffee. Was excited to try Village Coffee after seeing their reviews. But unfortunately I wasn't pleased my with drinks. Maybe it was the type of coffee they used and the syrups. But it just didn't sit well with me and I did not like the taste. I got a 12oz Matcha Latte with Almond milk & 16oz Honey Vanilla Latte with Almond Milk. I felt both drinks were a waste of money for me today. read more

Armor Coffee is my new favorite coffee AND sandwich shop! Tried to go into the store today but it was covered up in people, so instead drove through. The space is beautiful inside, so I recommend trying to get a table, if possible. Fortunately they had not one but two lattes of the month to try...Honey Vanilla, which was not as sweet as it sounds, but perfectly flavorful and smooth...my wife got the Cookie Butter, which was the sweeter of the two, but not overwhelming so. Thumbs way up on both! The sizing was different than I thought. I ordered a medium but that was 16 oz or about four more than I needed and I would gladly have drank them, however, decided why look for another restaurant for lunch and try an Armor sandwich or two. I had the Turkey and Avocado on sourdough and my oh my, the only disappointment was that I finished it, and I am now looking at my schedule to see when I am able to cruise back up to Armor! My wife got the Grown Up Grilled Cheese and she batted my hand away when I was trying to sneak a bite. She said it was outstanding. Guess I will take her word on that. Anyway, do yourself a favor and head to Armor. If you are near the outlets, Whole Foods, or Super Target, you are within easy striking distance. read more
