My sister, Dad and I had a late lunch at the Armory. It used to be an actual Armory. I loved that the decor stayed true to the origins of the building. You will find uniforms, pictures of veterans and each military branch flag hanging from the ceiling. Our server took great care of us! My sister and Dad had the Louisiana pasta dish, Dad had shrimp and my sister had chicken. I had a bite and it was yummy! I ordered a grilled chicken salad and Asian smoked wings. My salad was pretty big and the chicken with tasty. It was served with a garlic breadstick that smelled good, but I gave it to my Dad to have with his pasta. Large bar with lots of TVs, and plenty of booth and table seating. Next time I would like to go at dinner and try the pulled pork.

Traveling this place recommended by hotel. 5:30 no wait was seated quickly. Server was pleasant. Menu had big variety to choose from. Full bar. Very large facility with patio and table seating. Tables were well spaced. Did not feel cramped or crowded. Was very clean- no dust on ceiling and vents- tables were clean no litter on floors. Well kept. Food-ribs were very tender, French onion soup was good. Brisket was tender a little over done but tasty. Wings were a little to spicy hot for me. I had them Teriyaki flavor. Only ate 1 . Ordered a pretzel to go will try it later . It was very large for sharing.

Cesar salad - 2/5. Lacks fresh sliced or shaved cheese. Parmesan only does not cut it. Rolls - 3/5 only brought me 1 roll. Wasn't that impressed. Very doughy but doesn't taste soft or sweet as say roadhouses rolls 5/5. I was eating by myself so maybe their trying to cut Waitresses - 3/5 continued to bring me refills without asking. Was polite. However, did not check in at all. Waiting 45 mins for a steak, could have offered or brought another roll. Wait time for food - 2/5. A smokehouse that took 45 mins for their only steak option. I would have rated 1/5 but they were proactive and approached me to apologize and offered 15% off. I give them credit for this. Loaded baked potato - 2/5. It had way to much sour cream or butter. This was the first potato I had to scoop the topping out because i couldn't taste the potato. 16 oz ribeye - 3/5. The steak appeared cooked how I ordered it however it wasn't that hot. I am assuming since it took so long to come out, maybe it was sitting in the window for a few minutes. Overall I would rate the Armory Smokehouse 2.5/5. Yelp doesn't work that way so I will round up, since they took initiative in offering 15% off the steak.

The pulled pork sandwich with gluten-fee bun and sweet BBQ sauce was delicious. I loved how many gluten-free options that were available. My mom ordered the pulled pork BBQ dinner and raved about the pork and the onion rings. I cannot wait to return and try more items on the menu.

Ordered to go was told 25-30 minutes and then took an hour. Once we finally got our food we were missing sides among other things.

Had reservations for tomorrow night to eat but will be canceling those. The AC clearly needs attention. Set to 68 but it was 76 inside, at 9:30 PM. The shrimp were not deveined. I DID NOT ORDER SHRIMP POOP. The "loaded" potato had no butter or sour cream. Green beans steamed in bag from grocery if I could guess. Our food died at the pass.

We were really looking forward to a nice dinner out together, but unfortunately, our experience here was very disappointing. We were at the restaurant for two hours and still hadn't been able to order dinner. We started in the dining area, but our server, Amanda, wasn't very friendly or attentive, so we decided to move to the bar. The bartender was incredibly kind and doing her best, but she seemed overwhelmed by how busy it was. With some extra support--like a barback--she could have provided an even better experience. At that point, though, after waiting so long, we were just ready to grab something quick and head out. Sadly, we won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this spot to others based on our visit.

The shelves were adorned with an extensive collection of books, while other charming items lined the walls. Their menu offered a diverse range of dishes, catering to various tastes. As an avid Eggs Benedict enthusiast, my choice was an easy one. My companion opted for the breakfast bowl with bacon, and both dishes were exceptionally tasty, with well-balanced seasoning. I couldn't help but notice a steak sizzling on a lava rock, promising a delectable culinary experience. However, the service was slightly slow due to the restaurant's popularity. Despite the crowd, our waitress was incredibly kind and even offered an apology for any inconvenience caused. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast or brunch when visiting the area.

I'm not interested in a free meal or anything of that nature. We will not be returning to Outback again. I do think it's the right thing to do, though, for others to know what a poorly ran location this is. People work too hard for their money to go spend it at a restaurant that can't treat customers like they matter. My husband and I came to this location for NYE dinner. The last dinner we had in November was sub-par, but we had a gift card I'd received and thought we'd try it again- poor choice! Walking in, I noticed trash scattered about the outside. It takes 10 minutes for a staff member to come out and pick up trash. We were seated in the bar area; the bartender ended up being our server. I was immediately put off by the fact that she had waist-length hair that wasn't tied up. I ordered the margarita flight. I don't typically order alcoholic drinks, but it was NYE, so I thought I'd splurge. All four drinks were so, so sweet, I couldn't drink them. We ordered and was waiting for our food when a couple walked in carry a dog and went to sit at the bar. Mind you, it wasn't a service dog (no vest or indicator that it was a service dog), it was a small lap dog. Our entrees arrived, and the continued disappoint of this experience continued. We each ordered a side salad with sweet tomato dressing. We both love the sweet tomato dressing and is one of the main reasons we've chosen Outback in the past. Our server tells us that they're out of that dressing. My husband orders the teriyaki kabobs. He said the vegetables were crunchy and undercooked, and the sauce tasted like it was poured right out of a bottle after the kabobs were (half) cooked. My dinner was equally as disappointing; I ordered a medium well sirloin that arrived bloody. I'd pushed my steak and the margarita flight to the end of the table. The lady manager ( I assume she was the manager) walked by and asked us how our dinner was. I explained to her all the issues we'd encountered. Her response- "well the drink mix sits in the bottom of the glasses. You have to stir them up." No response about my bloody steak. She simply asked if she could take it all away. No offer to take items off our check. We paid the check and left. We've frequented Outback for many years. Never again. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g29443-d4651649-r1045486533-Outback_Steakhouse-Ashland_Kentucky.html#
