Maui Zowie
Amanda W.

We hadn't been here in years as it's a little far from us. We were promptly seated and greeted by our server. The lighting is a bit dim and the booths seem like they could use an upgrade and a fresh coat of paint. We asked for a beer list which they have you scan a QR code to access the list. They had a decent selection. We weren't super hungry but wanted leftovers so we opted for fried pickles and a large Maui Zowie. The pickles came out very fast and were had a Parmesan breading and were lightly fried and were some of the best I've had. The ranch was also good. Maui Zowie has ham, pineapple, pepperoni and a spicy barbecue sauce. There's tons of sauce and toppings. I never thought I would say this but it was almost too many toppings to be able to pick the piece of pizza up and eat. But with a fork it's amazing. Love that you actually get pineapple not just a piece of 2. We had plenty of leftovers and the pizza heated well in the air fryer oven. Overall great experience and can't wait to stop in again when in the area. On a side note I do wish they gave you a serving utensil to serve up the pizza with.

Junior Salad

We come here for salad and pizza. Don't let the Junior Salad fool you...you get a lot of salad! I ask for a to-go container first thing because I know I can't eat all of it. We also always order a Build Your Own pizza. It's got a thin crust, and they pile on the toppings! The craft beer selection on draft isn't very large, but we're usually able to find one we like. We typically sit in the bar area where we've always had quick and friendly service. I have no complaints!

Pesto Chicken Penne and pizza

The Meatball sandwich is delicious and will definitely get that again. The Pizza is pretty good as well. We tried the voo doo pasta and the pesto pasta and both were mediocre. Pretty nice ambiance on the inside we loved the Christmas tree and decorations!! Love the lights on the outdoor patio for eating outside in the warmer seasons. Also, they do have tvs to watch sports games and nice bar sitting area. The place was dead but it was a Monday night when we went. The service was okay, it did take awhile to receive second drink. Giving it 3 stars because it was kind of pricy for what it is. Cheers!

I've liked everything I've tried at Arni's. The pizza is my favorite!! Carry-out is fast and convenient with a separate entrance & parking!

It's very cool on the inside with vintage and Indiana-themed decor, tin ceilings, and, of course, a potbelly stove. The staff were friendly. But brother and I were very confused about the ordering process. There wasn't a lot of directional signage showing where to start and each step of the process. I watched a few other customers go through and they didn't seem like they had a problem so maybe it was just us. Next time I would probably just order online and pick it up so I could avoid the in-person ordering process altogether. I had the turkey sandwich and it was pretty good. I would say definitely a step up from your typical sub sandwich chain in terms of flavor and toppings options. I tried the chili mac as well. The chili is definitely à la Wendy's but I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese was good as well. I'd probably get either on its own but not together again. I also tried the Potbelly/Zapp's collab chips, the Hot Pepper flavor. They were good but are definitely not for everyone. When I visited, most of their fountain soda options were out of order so I settled on a no sugar added Pineapple Passionfruit juice/soda which was actually pretty good. We'll definitely be back - especially to try out their milkshakes!

I gave a different review back when the company had a different name (Roots to Rise) - same ownership - and I hadn't been impressed with their coffee or açaí bowls. With the new branding, I figured I'd visit again & stick to juices. They quickly became my post-yoga stop on weekends. I would have went before work on weekdays but they aren't open early enough for that. Today after I ordered I was warned there were a few orders ahead of me. That knowledge before ordering would have been more helpful. Normally a 5 minute wait or so, I was guessing a 15 minute wait would be reasonable. I went outside listened to 3 songs, back in, still no drink, went back out- 2 more songs, back in, still nothing. Ordered at 11:15, drink was done at 11:51. I think good business would have been upping my size for free, or a coupon, or even a thanks for your patience. A simple, "Thanks," while kind enough, caught me off guard. Any gesture to recognize that wait was unreasonably long would have sufficed. The juice was still delicious, I can't lie. I don't know if it's staffing (2 employees on Sat. morning- no Now Hiring sign tho) or what, but if you are in any kind of time crunch, I'd probably avoid the wait. If you are on vacation time- by all means- go enjoy their offerings. I realize it's what comes with a small business, but also something to recognize an unusually long wait would also be a small business quality. I'm disheartened by this. Greenwood is very slack on fresh juice options, although I saw an Ever-Well going in on 31.

I had passed this location on the way and thought I'd check them out since I had never had it. I got the Italian sandwich, brownie, and a side of the pepper relish. Big mistake. This has got to be the most broke tasting sandwich I've maybe ever eaten. It's giving armor meat sandwich for Panera prices. The ham gave Bar S and the salami gave budding. Just gross. I couldn't stand more than three bites and that was because I was starving. I threw almost this whole sandwich away. The brownie was pretty good and kind of reminded me of Chick-fil-A. That pepper relish was really delicious and all of the veggies were super fresh, but limited. You can miss me with that meat though. The bread wasn't that great either. I don't understand why people would come here when Penn Station is right across the street. The customer service was fine and the inside of the restaurant was clean enough. But I will never ever be back.

I ordered the menudo and the soup was great. I also got 2 steak tacos and 1 pork taco. Also known as tacos de asada 2 and 1 pastor. They of course were delicious fast and hot on the stove. The homemade salsa Verde was a little more coarse then I typically like as it was not that spicey so it was good. Kids got the micky mouse pancakes and they were fully and thr kids ate them all the bacon was crispy too. Last item was chilaquiles hot yummy added steak to ours and just great. The service was fast and on point. With a medium noise level for ambiance. If you wanting to try a new breakfast place come here and give it a shot.

The restaurant itself is fine, your pretty standard strip mall diner vibe but with a Hispanic flair. The music is unobtrusive and it's easy to carry a conversation. The major problem we had was that the kitchen must've been understaffed because food was taking about an hour to come out even for the neighboring tables. The place did die down around 1pm which is when we were leaving so I would definitely recommend coming during off-peak hours. Food: Fresh squeeze OJ - love pulpy OJ and this had tons of it but the oranges just weren't quite at peak ripeness. 3/5 Pastor skillet - The skillet had good flavor with crispy potatoes, avocado, pineapple bits, and nice amount of eggs. The pastor unfortunately had quite a few gristly pieces that really detracted from the experience. 4/5 Tlacoyo - A classic central Mexican dish. It's a stuffed corn patty kind of like a pupusa which is more tortilla like. You can add nopales which is cactus and tastes like green bell peppers and a protein which I added asada steak to mine. I would recommend adding both to make it a nice filling meal. I got half-half red and green sauces as well and they're both delicious, pick green if you want mild and red if you like spicy. Definitely the winner of the meal here. 5/5 Overall, this place serves mid-tier food with great Hispanic twists on your traditional breakfast/brunch options. The salsas and proteins have authentic flavor although some higher quality cuts of meat would level this place up a bit. I would give this place another try but would definitely come at non-peak hours or a weekday if possible.
