Aroma Tea House is as good as any other milk tea boba place. It's pretty good, but nothing special at the same time. However, they were busier than the other places in the area and popularity is a good indicator. Ordering at the kiosk is efficient; just place your order and wait. Prices seem cheap at first, until you decide to get the add-ons. I do wish they had one more level of sweetness control, as this options felt limited. My drink choice was the standard milk tea, which is what I always get on my first visit to a new spot. If you are looking for a quick and straightforward boba stop, it is fine to grab a drink here, but it isn't necessarily a standout destination.
It's not bad! The banana matcha was subtle though. I also ordered the mango sticky rice matcha and it really didn't taste nothing like a mango sticky rice matcha lol. 1 small kiosk by the door. It was kinda confusing because the place itself is kinda small so it was hard to tell where to order. Apparently, you can just walk up to the counter and order as well. Service wasn't so bad. Lots of drink options here. Competition with Izumi Matcha. I'm going to be honest, I originally wanted Izumi Matcha but it was closed yesterday. I went here as a backup choice. I probably would come try some of their other matcha drinks. All in all, not bad but nothing too memorable. Maybe I ordered the wrong drink? What would you recommend?
Came to try out the fall matcha menu and it was great! I tried the pumpkin matcha and the cookie butter matcha, you can't go wrong with either! They both had a good sweetness to them. The pumpkin matcha tasted like a spiced pumpkin pie and the cookie butter matcha was yummy! Drinks took around 10 minutes to come out, but it's understandable since they're all hand whisked. There's seating inside and outside and staff was very nice!
Aroma Che, coffee and tea- 3005 Silver Creek Rd Aroma Che is one of my kids' favorite Viet desserts spots in San Jose! Their go-to drink the Che Ba Mau, and it never disappoints. Ordering is easy with either the self-service kiosk or a cashier, and they accept both credit cards and cash. Service is quick and efficient, making it the perfect place to grab a drink on the go. Nice and clean seating area. If you're craving a refreshing Viet dessert drinks without a long wait, this is a great choice. Our family definitely recommends Aroma Che, Coffee and Tea for a quick and delicious dessert stop!
The avocado drink is so good! Perfect amount of sweetness and the jellies in the drink add a great texture. I also loved the shaved ice. It made it easier to eat. Recommend using a spoon first then a straw. Best one I've had compared to other places, definitely recommend trying this drink! Looking forward to trying their other drinks
Went back for my go to drink, it goes bad after the first two hours and separates so you have to drink it fast. It's around $8 to add boba and no other adjustments which is average to higher end pricing for matcha. The employees were really friendly
Aroma has a lot of fun matcha drinks on their menu! We tried the mango sticky rice matcha and the banana cream matcha. The cream top on the mango sticky rice matcha was so good and less sweet was the perfect amount. They also have matcha drinks with tea bases like oolong and jasmine. There was only one kiosk so I'm not sure how backed up it gets. Luckily it wasn't busy when we stopped by but it's located in a very hectic plaza!
Love the unique flavors Aroma offers. Ordering at a kiosk and picking up at the front cashier within just 10 minutes amidst heavy foot traffic. First time around, I went ahead and ordered their pandan matcha. Yum! This masterpiece is served with pandan cold foam and toasted coconut flakes. Ordered it regular sweet, less ice, with oat milk. Very balanced flavor. Loved it. Would definitely try their other flavor offerings. :)

Sadly, Aroma didn't deliver. What I wanted - and braved the long line for - was a Banana Matcha. I'd heard good things and as a matcha lover I went out of my way to come here for it. When I tried to make it dairy free things went left. I asked for oat milk, which they carry, but was told they couldn't do it because they premake the banana mixture with regular milk. They told me it was just bananas and milk, so naturally I asked if they couldn't just swap the milk? The two counter employees tell me nope, that would be "too difficult" for them. Translation = lazy. So I ordered an oatmilk strawberry matcha instead, which took longer to get than my food order next door. The matcha tasted incredibly watered down and was disappointing. Had I not waited so long to get the drink I would have had them remake it, but I wasn't about to spend half my day here. Definitely wouldn't return.
Egg Coffee is pretty good -- not overly bitter. It's strong, but not too strong. The mango sticky rice matcha is good too, though the flavor is pretty subtle. I wish the mango sticky rice flavor came through a bit more, since you only really taste hints of the coconut and mango toward the end.
Just go here for the matchas, che, and the mango yogurt drink. The mango yogurt was no joke my hyperfixation drink for 2 weeks. Again so glad that I gave this place another chance.

Delicious drinks and a wide variety with home-y southeast asian flavors!! Rose lychee and pandan milk teas were YUMMERS, definitely recommend those. Their boba wasn't also chewy and the right amount of sweetness. You can order on a screen and the baristas are quick and helpful. There's seating inside too, but could get a little crowded during dinner time on a weekend. read more
The double matcha was really good, I really liked the strength for it. -1 star because there was a lot of small matcha clumps throughout the drink after I mixed it so it probably wasn't whisked thoroughly. It wasn't that busy when I went. It was on a Tuesday a little after 1 pm so it wasn't really crowded and the line went pretty fast to the kiosk. read more

Checked out this location for the first time yesterday and was excited to see they have Vietnamese hazelnut coffee super rare! I got mine extra sweet just in case it was too strong, and it turned out delicious. They've got a kiosk for ordering, but you can also order at the register if it gets busy. Can't wait to try other menu items in the future! read more

I saw reviews about the cookie butter matcha so I really wanted to try it. I came at 4 pm on a friday but luckily, it wasn't too busy and there was parking. My drink was ready in 10 minutes. I ordered less sweet with whole milk which was perfect for me. The cookie butter foam was sweet and delicious. It paired well with the earthy matcha. I think there could be more cookie butter flavor but still very worth a try. The cookie bits as topping was a nice touch and it added crunch to my drink after mixing the cookie butter cream with the matcha, getting a creamy and smooth texture. I'm interested in the other fun drinks for this fall menu! I like how you can still taste both the matcha and cream flavor after mixing. read more

Aroma offers a variety of speciality drinks. I tried their matcha drinks and it didn't disappoint. I tried two of their new matcha series drinks: mango sticky rice and pandan dream. The mango sticky rice matcha was unique and more of a dessert drink. I didn't taste too much of the mango flavor. The pandan one complemented the matcha really well. My favorite was the banana cream matcha. The banana cream was thick, creamy, and not overpowering. I do wish the matcha flavor was a little stronger. There are a couple tables inside. The lines were long so definitely expect a bit of a wait for your drinks. read more
This place is so fun! I love the unique flavor offerings. The inside is fairly small but there's a few seats and the decor is adorable. I got the Durian Milk Tea and a Lychee Rose Milk Tea to try. The Durian Milk Tea has pieces of real durian in there! The milk tea itself tasted milky and not artificial - which is big for me. The lychee rose milk tea was delicious. Super creamy. Final Thoughts: 4.73/5 My friends and I have been here since their soft and grand opening days. Can't say they were super popular before, which I'm wondering why because their drinks and items are actually really good for my taste. Originally, they're known for selling Vietnamese desserts and drinks. Classic flavors include pandan, durian, egg coffee, and other variety of drinks. They recently came out with their matcha line of drinks and their popularity skyrocketed. Honestly, to no ones surprise since matcha is so trendy still. Quite the nice time to add those drinks to their menu. I have tried their other drinks and dessert drinks, but here I am today again for their matcha drink though. Those items are also quite good and I like that we're really able to customize all of their items. Drink: Banana Cream Matcha, less sweet, soy milk, honey: 4.8/5 Starting with the matcha layer. Their matcha flavor is actually really good. Nice bitterness to it, very vibrant color that the picture doesn't do justice, and has that earthy tone that I like. Thick consistency from the soy milk and matcha that they whipped fresh, I'm assuming. Moving onto their banana cream. This banana cream really enhanced this drink. The banana flavor appears like a fresh banana. Balance of flavors is amazing. The cream is quite light and doesn't feel rich even though perhaps they used a whipping cream to get this consistency. Doesn't coat my mouth or anything and dissolves nicely into the drink. For sweetness, there seems to be some variances. My friend and I both got "less sweet", but my drink was noticeably sweeter than his, which is interesting. He even got the boba, so I'm curious why mine came out sweeter. Our sweetener choice was both honey too. Perhaps just some inconsistencies with the sweetness. Honestly, not complaining too much though since I can easily go home and dilute it with more ice or milk. Even with the sweetness though, there is this hint of saltiness to it, which I like. It's subtle, but contributes well to the drink. On top, they garnish it with these banana crisps, as well. Gives it a nice texture component. Banana Cream Matcha, less sweet, oat milk, honey, boba (Not pictured): xx This was my friends drink. Essentially the same item. There is a more smooth consistency and I'm assuming that it is the oat milk. Flavor is still amazing with the two milk choices. No significant differences. Boba was alright for today, but I'm not the best at judging. It had a nice flavor and chew with some bite to it. Sweetness for this drink was more to my preference since I do prefer a less sweetened drink. Otherwise, another delightful beverage. --------- Quality: Made to order I stated that they whipped their matcha and make the drinks fresh to order above and I say that mostly because of the wait time. We waited for maybe 15-20 minutes for all 3 of our drinks to come out. Not surprised since it does take some time to whip matcha up to that thick luscious consistency. From my observations, around 90% of the customers present got a matcha drink of sorts. Needless to say, this may be one of my top places for matcha now. Price: Expensive One of their drinks ranges from $7 to $10 perhaps. There are upcharges for some items like the type of sweetener (syrup vs honey). The price will depend on your preferences. Today, my drink was a solid $9, which leans more on the expensive side for a drink. If anyone's read my reviews, I emphasize that I will pay for quality, so here I am, gladly paying for a $9 cup of matcha. Service: Limited interactions, but nice service The workers there are quite nice and we've never had a concern with the service. The cashier seems to have been there for a while and he seems to have a very charming personality, which is nice to see. We appreciate the energy. Otherwise, they have kiosks present at the front, so limited interactions unless you prefer to order at the cashier. Ambiance: Small and lively space Small, but lively. The interior is quite small with just a few tables on each sides. Seems to make the space lively though since it's a small space, but there are multiple parties just chatting away. The interior is white, so it makes the space very bright, which is nice. Location/Parking: Not the best It's located in Paloma Plaza and on the side that's parallel to Target. Parking can be absolutely horrible here because of the spaces and mainly some of the drivers/parkers that I meet here. The space is small already, but some people really finding the most interesting spaces to park their car. It's fine if they don't block anyone, but there have been multiple occasions where their car is really in the middle of a single two-way lane. Finding parking is alright, but sometimes it does come down to luck and being able to park in the smaller spaces. read more

Aroma has one of the best banana matcha drink I have tried in San Jose! It is a well balanced drink, not too sweet, banana cream is not artificial tasting, and I could still taste the matcha. The mango sticky rice matcha is good, but it tastes more like a coconut matcha than mango sticky rice. I didn't taste much mango at all. The wait for these drinks isn't too bad considering how crowded it gets, maybe around 30-45 mins after ordering. I also really like their che here as well, so it's a good place to go since it has a lot of variety for those that don't like matcha! The shop itself is very cute, small with some seating. I just tried aroma Monday afternoon around 3 PM and there was only two other people ahead of me in line at the kiosk. What's funny is that the plaza has three other Matcha locations so it's kind of like a little competition there. parking I could see it could be crazy at certain times of the day But luckily I was able to find parking right out front. The Matcha tasted amazing and so did the banana. it tasted real not artificial flavor. it seems like this place is very popular and I can see why. I would definitely go back. Aroma is located in the busy Paloma plaza. The parking is challenging here depending on the time because there are so many restaurants, shops, milk tea shops, etc in this stripmall. Order via kiosk or cashier. Modern, clean interior. They offer quite a few interesting drinks on their menu. I went with the Smashed Avocado. It was filled with rainbow jellies, boba, coconut milk, and avocado. It was a fun drink. Looking forward to going back and trying some other drinks. read more

Came here for the first time today and am obsessed with this cafe! I am a huge lover of anything pandan so I was really excited to see the offerings on the menu. The guy working was super welcoming and helped me choose out a drink with customizations that I'd like. I ended up ordering the pandan milk tea less sweet, subbing the house cream for pandan jelly. I usually go for unsweetened drinks so I was a little apprehensive that this drink would taste too sweet for me, but I was very pleasantly surprised that this wasn't the case! The house made pandan syrup was very light and flavorful and paired very well with the milk tea. It came with a pandan wafer on top, which I accidentally ate before taking the photo. I also tried the pandan ice cream, which was a bit on the icier side and had coconut chunks mixed in. The shop was very clean and tidy with a number of tables and seating options available, as well as some decor for Lunar New Year! I believe this store opened a few months ago and is the family owned business' second location (first one in Milpitas). They also do customizations to create your own personalized drinks off their menu offerings- I'm looking forward to ordering a pandan matcha drink next time! They have so many diverse menu offerings such as soursop juice, egg coffees, ube drinks, etc. I'll most definitely be back here very soon! This might just be my new go-to cafe in East SJ :) read more

wow what an incredible cafe!! my friend recommended this spot to me, and we went to get the cookie butter matcha. it did not disappoint. they hand whisk the matcha so it tastes fresh! and the delicious cookie butter cold foam they put on top makes it even better. since the matcha is hand whisked, if you order one you will have to wait around 15 minutes for the drink. but in my opinion it's worth it read more

Love their smashed Avocado. Just went to get their banana matcha, it was pretty crowded because of their matcha series. They do have a sign that says they take longer on making their matcha because it is hand whisk so be prepared to wait, I waited 30 minutes and some girl walked up and grabbed my drink thinking it was hers. I showed her my number and the cashier apologized and asked if it was ok since the other girl touched it. I didn't want to wait another 30 so I said it was fine. I really appreciate that they offer milk substitutions as alot of places do not offer it. We're Asian, most of us are lactose. The drink was pretty good, I wish it was a little sweeter but I'd get it again. Oh and you get a discount if you pay with cash. read more

Jasmine milk tea is soooo good! Very floral. The brown sugar boba is really good too! Drink $6 Brown sugar boba 0.50 Lychee jelly 0.50 Parking lot gets really full as it's in a busy Asian plaza filled with many food and boba restaurants. Great service here! We ordered through the kiosk but the guy asked if we needed any help or had any questions. We went before the dinner rush so there was no lines. Place was nice and clean. My favvv matcha place in SJ currently. The sweetness is inconsistent sometimes, but usually it's spot on (I normally don't like it that sweet). Since each drink is hand whisked, waiting time is really slow & when it's busy, it may take up to 20+ minutes. However, I do love their matcha. I recommend their house matcha! read more

lots of consistency issues with the matcha here. today is the worst it's been. clump and separating matcha :( overall matcha is pretty mid which sucks because they have fun flavors + rotating matcha menu. *Visited on Saturday 12/21/2024 around 3pm Came here with a small group of 4, and was surprised at how lovely it was inside. The store isn't huge, but there's seating and cool decorations. You do have the option to order through a kiosk, or you can order with a staff member. The person who helped us was very kind and great at recommending drinks/ desserts for us as this was our first visit. OKAY THE DRINKS: * Longan Honey Oolong Milktea with Boba- yes a mouthful, but PRETTY DANG TASTY. I was pleasantly surprised how it wasn't overly sweet despite not adjusting the sweetness (I like to try new drinks as is for the first try and if I come back, then I'd adjust accordingly) * Sugarcane Juice with Kumquat- SO refreshing! There was a great portion of ice and juice and my boyfriend was super happy with his drink. Will definitely come back!! x read more
If you like Vietnamese desserts, you should check out Aroma! The staff here were really friendly and thoroughly explained the different desserts and toppings to me. I got the Color Dessert with Grass Jelly & Smashed Avocado. The color dessert was creamy and I enjoyed chewing on the Pandan jelly and grass jelly. If you enjoy avocado, I definitely recommend the smash avocado. It's like an edible avocado smoothie with a bunch of toppings. It's also my favorite dessert from here. The place is small but they have plenty of tables if you'd like to sit and study. Compared to other places like Bambu, I will say this place is very similar, but has more options in terms of drinks. read more

Very yummy matchas and Vietnamese coffee. I love the variety of drinks Aroma has. I always order less sugar in my drinks, so the lattes might be too sweet with full sugar. Drinks/service can take some time to come out but nothing bothersome. Decent amount of seating inside but cute decor. read more
Yummylicious get the banana matcha ya'll it's 10/10!!! It's a little over 8$ after tax, but it's defff worth as the quality is top tier. It's right next to izumi and if I'mma be honest I'd rather get Izumi, but when I'm in a rush Aroma here I come lolll. read more
came for their banana matcha and it didn't disappoint! ordered on the kiosk and our drinks came out quickly on a weekday, but about 15 minute wait on a weekend. i got "less sweet" and it's truly less sweet than average - the matcha itself will still be a bit bitter but pairs perfectly with the sweet banana cream top. i could see someone wanting their drink a bit sweeter though, which i'm guessing you would have to ask at the register since there's no "normal" option on the kiosk. would def recommend trying, especially if the wait at the neighboring matcha spot is long :) read more
Vietnamese inspired dessert shop in a very high traffic plaza. Small shop with limited seating but friendly service. Relatively busy on a Monday afternoon so ideal for a quick grab and go. Pictured: banana matcha latte. The matcha itself wasn't anything extraordinary but the mix with the banana cream was better than expectations. Would have preferred if the matcha was a bit stronger. Personally recommend mixing the drink itself as the cream sits towards the top and you do want a mix of both with each sip. 8.5/10 will revisit for sure! read more

This is my go to che place in San Jose. They have so many items to try but my favorite is definitely the combination che and corn milk. The che is filled with toppings and the corn milk is silky, fragrant, and not overly sweet. I can tell the owner makes the che with so much care and treats all of his customers so well! read more
