Aroma Tea House is as good as any other milk tea boba place. It's pretty good, but nothing special at the same time. However, they were busier than the other places in the area and popularity is a good indicator. Ordering at the kiosk is efficient; just place your order and wait. Prices seem cheap at first, until you decide to get the add-ons. I do wish they had one more level of sweetness control, as this options felt limited. My drink choice was the standard milk tea, which is what I always get on my first visit to a new spot. If you are looking for a quick and straightforward boba stop, it is fine to grab a drink here, but it isn't necessarily a standout destination.
Came to try out the fall matcha menu and it was great! I tried the pumpkin matcha and the cookie butter matcha, you can't go wrong with either! They both had a good sweetness to them. The pumpkin matcha tasted like a spiced pumpkin pie and the cookie butter matcha was yummy! Drinks took around 10 minutes to come out, but it's understandable since they're all hand whisked. There's seating inside and outside and staff was very nice!
It's not bad! The banana matcha was subtle though. I also ordered the mango sticky rice matcha and it really didn't taste nothing like a mango sticky rice matcha lol. 1 small kiosk by the door. It was kinda confusing because the place itself is kinda small so it was hard to tell where to order. Apparently, you can just walk up to the counter and order as well. Service wasn't so bad. Lots of drink options here. Competition with Izumi Matcha. I'm going to be honest, I originally wanted Izumi Matcha but it was closed yesterday. I went here as a backup choice. I probably would come try some of their other matcha drinks. All in all, not bad but nothing too memorable. Maybe I ordered the wrong drink? What would you recommend?
Went back for my go to drink, it goes bad after the first two hours and separates so you have to drink it fast. It's around $8 to add boba and no other adjustments which is average to higher end pricing for matcha. The employees were really friendly
Just go here for the matchas, che, and the mango yogurt drink. The mango yogurt was no joke my hyperfixation drink for 2 weeks. Again so glad that I gave this place another chance.
Aroma Che, coffee and tea- 3005 Silver Creek Rd Aroma Che is one of my kids' favorite Viet desserts spots in San Jose! Their go-to drink the Che Ba Mau, and it never disappoints. Ordering is easy with either the self-service kiosk or a cashier, and they accept both credit cards and cash. Service is quick and efficient, making it the perfect place to grab a drink on the go. Nice and clean seating area. If you're craving a refreshing Viet dessert drinks without a long wait, this is a great choice. Our family definitely recommends Aroma Che, Coffee and Tea for a quick and delicious dessert stop!
Aroma has a lot of fun matcha drinks on their menu! We tried the mango sticky rice matcha and the banana cream matcha. The cream top on the mango sticky rice matcha was so good and less sweet was the perfect amount. They also have matcha drinks with tea bases like oolong and jasmine. There was only one kiosk so I'm not sure how backed up it gets. Luckily it wasn't busy when we stopped by but it's located in a very hectic plaza!
Love the unique flavors Aroma offers. Ordering at a kiosk and picking up at the front cashier within just 10 minutes amidst heavy foot traffic. First time around, I went ahead and ordered their pandan matcha. Yum! This masterpiece is served with pandan cold foam and toasted coconut flakes. Ordered it regular sweet, less ice, with oat milk. Very balanced flavor. Loved it. Would definitely try their other flavor offerings. :)

Sadly, Aroma didn't deliver. What I wanted - and braved the long line for - was a Banana Matcha. I'd heard good things and as a matcha lover I went out of my way to come here for it. When I tried to make it dairy free things went left. I asked for oat milk, which they carry, but was told they couldn't do it because they premake the banana mixture with regular milk. They told me it was just bananas and milk, so naturally I asked if they couldn't just swap the milk? The two counter employees tell me nope, that would be "too difficult" for them. Translation = lazy. So I ordered an oatmilk strawberry matcha instead, which took longer to get than my food order next door. The matcha tasted incredibly watered down and was disappointing. Had I not waited so long to get the drink I would have had them remake it, but I wasn't about to spend half my day here. Definitely wouldn't return.
Egg Coffee is pretty good -- not overly bitter. It's strong, but not too strong. The mango sticky rice matcha is good too, though the flavor is pretty subtle. I wish the mango sticky rice flavor came through a bit more, since you only really taste hints of the coconut and mango toward the end.
I really wanted to love this spot more, especially since you can see that each matcha drink is hand-whisked with so much care. It is clear they prioritize quality in their preparation, but unfortunately, the drinks themselves did not quite deliver for me. I tried the Banana Matcha and the Pandan Matcha to get a feel for their specialty options. Both drinks had a beautiful, vibrant green color that looked very promising, but the flavors did not quite live up to the aesthetic. The Banana Matcha tasted a bit watered down and lacked that rich, earthy matcha taste I look for. The Pandan Matcha was a bit more balanced in terms of flavor, but the overall texture of both drinks felt a bit off. While I appreciate the craftsmanship and the visual appeal of the drinks, the flavor profile just was not quite there this time. It's a nice spot overall, but I would love to see a bit more richness in the lattes to match the quality of the whisking.
I came here after hearing great reviews about their banana cream matcha, and I was not disappointed! The matcha is very rich and the banana cream was made out of real banana. I got it at regular sweetness, but I think I would go for less sweet next time. So far, this is the best banana matcha I've had in the bay. The store itself is very small and stuffy, but they have a kiosk for ordering as well as a cashier. Service was friendly and quick. They also sell a variety of Vietnamese chè and drinks, and I would come back to try their other items. read more

I returned to try the xi mui drink. I wasn't expecting it to be kumquat forward. At the bottom of my drink were kumquat peels and dried cranberries. Where was the xi mui? I also tried the purple rice with avocado. I enjoyed the toppings that went into it and the different textures. It was fun to drink. Wasn't that sweet either. read more

Stopped by to give the matcha drinks a chance since the one next door was crazy packed. The store has a kiosk that you can order on or if you'd prefer a staff to assist you, there is one as well. Since it was my first time here, I was hesitant on what matcha drinks to try but the worker was very nice and patient. He had suggested to try the Signature Matcha w/ House Cream and the Banana Matcha. Hits: * Signature Matcha w/ House Cream was good! The matcha isn't bitter and the cream makes it smooth. The drink itself is a decent sweetness which is perfect since it's not overly sweet. Average: * Banana Matcha was okay. I think someone who loves banana would really enjoy it but the drink itself is very bitter and just has a strong hint of banana. I thought the cream would at least make it a bit sweet but it didn't. Final Verdict: Solid 3/5. The store is cute and the wait isn't too long. They also have other drinks and Vietnamese Che here that I would like to try next time. I personally did not enjoy the banana matcha and actually preferred the signature matcha more. read more
Tried Aroma for the first time and unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. The wait was 30 minutes, which might be expected during busy hours -- but it was frustrating to see others (who seemed to be friends of the staff) get their orders in about half the time. Definitely didn't feel great as a first-time customer. I ordered the Banana Cream Matcha ($8), and it was a big letdown. It tasted like banana -- and only banana. No creaminess, no matcha flavor at all. For the price, I expected something a lot more balanced and flavorful. The shop has a cute vibe, but overall, not worth the wait or the cost for what I got. I tried the banana cream matcha, but the banana flavor was overpowering and I couldn't taste the matcha at all. Since my husband picked it up for me, I couldn't ask for a remake. I'll try my drink in store next time. There are other drinks that I want to try, so I will give Aroma another try. read more
Made the trip from the peninsula after seeing this pop up from a mini-local-influencer. The cashier was very friendly! Actually, he was refreshingly pleasant and joyful. I knew I wanted to get a Matcha, but I had a couple questions which he was able to answer well. I ended up getting the signature Matcha that comes with house cream, and the pandas matcha. The Che and Tamarind drink also caught my attention and while I was tempted to order them, I don't think four different drinks and items would've been good for me lol. PLEASE ADD COCONUT OR ALMOND MILK as an option. Because I made the drive out to try this place I ended up getting whole milk, but it would prevent me from prioritizing this place in the future as I have some dairy issues, and oat/soy are alternatives but not limiting optionswise. Drinks were great! I did less sweet (zero wasn't an option). The cream and pandan had enough sweetness to make up for it. I noticed as I was leaving the place was getting pretty busy (it was Saturday morning). I also appreciate the cash discount so bring cash :-). read more
First time trying pandaan milk tea and it was pretty good. Stopped by after eating lunch a few spots over. Ordered through a kiosk. The wait took longer as expected but that was fine. The drink turned out pretty good. I enjoy pandaan flavor. I'll be back to try other items off the menu! read more
Came here on a Friday afternoon and luckily before I came (2:30-2:45 ish) there wasn't much of a wait but afterwards, the line was out the door. The shop is very neat and aesthetic with a couple small tables to sit at. We waited probably 10-15 minutes for our drinks. I heard about Aroma from Instagram and wanted to check out the hype. Pandan matcha is my favorite kind of matcha, so I ordered this hoping it would be the sweet pandan matcha I regularly have in Socal. Unfortunately it wasn't as sweet as I had hoped, but I was still able to drink it nonetheless. I would have preferred the cookie butter matcha my cousin got which had the perfect sweetness to it. I would still come back and try their other drinks, but just wouldn't get the pandan matcha again. read more
Banana Matcha Latte 5/5 Pandan Milk Tea 3/5 This place is small and hidden between cafes in a very busy shopping plaza. Parking can be tricky during busy hours. The inside of the shop was not as spacious and can get crowded easily but it was clean (they also have outdoor seating). They have a kiosk which makes ordering quicker especially if there is a line at the register. The service was top notch and they were very attentive. They ran out of Thai tea (which wasn't a problem at all) and was quick to let us know if we would like anything else and even offered recommendations. What a gem! Aroma makes beautiful drinks AND they taste good. Wide selection of drinks from specialty che, Viet coffee, milk teas, sugarcane juice and more. This is apparently the more extensive location compared to their original Milpitas. I need to try their che or specialty drinks next. PANDAN COFFEE: 5/5 ($7.25) + MUST try! The coffee base here is strong but not bitter at all, so you don't have to wait long to fully enjoy it + The pandan cream has good flavor but the coffee is quite strong so you can't taste that much, but it adds a touch of creaminess and sweetness CALAMANSI JUICE: 4.5/5 ($6.50) + MUST try! Delicious and refreshing. Calamansi is like a more sweet and sour citrus but more tart mandarin SOYBEAN MILK W/ MUNG BEAN: 4/5 ($6.50) + Fresh sua dau nanh is my absolute fave, but I didn't love having actual mung bean in it. Thought it would be mung bean flavored soymilk PANDAN MILK TEA: 4/5 ($6.95) + You can definitely taste the pandan, but I'm not sure if I like it as a milk tea, which has a strong taste. Might be jasmine tea? EGG COFFEE: 4/5 ($7.25) + Egg cream doesn't really do much for the drink. It's barely there. Go for the pandan coffee instead + Coffee base is yummy! I got the banana crème matcha I really loved how I can taste the banana and matcha still when it is mixed together! I wasn't greeted I was waiting around the counter because I wanted to pay with cash and they staff looked my way after a few mins and said there's a kiosk, I replied and said I would like to pay cash and Order up front. Pretty good matcha! We on that matcha hunt ofc! * aroma house matcha: I got this less sweet and it was almost perfect. They use this sweet white sugar that's on the bottom similar to cereal tea. On the top is their house cream and it taste salty with some sweetness which I think balances the bitterness and sweetness of the matcha drink. The matcha itself taste pretty good! It wasn't grainy or too grassy. I would get this again! * banana matcha: my friend for this one less sweet and when you first taste a sip it taste pretty bitter. She let the sweetness of the banana on top settle and said she liked it. We tried the banana matcha from k on the in Milpitas and she said she liked this one more than theirs! Don't know if she wouldn't this again but my friend liked my aroma house matcha drink! We came on a Wednesday around 3pm and it wasn't too busy. There are a good amount of seating inside. I like how they have a kiosk to order and I wish every place had that option. I would come here again to try the other drinks! read more

Extremely crowded on the weekends. They have a very unique menu with great drinks. We ordered the banana matcha and the durian coffee. There is limited seating inside. The drinks do take a longgg time to come out - roughly 20 minutes minimum. I was lucky to come when there was no line to order at least. There's only one kiosk. The parking lot here couldn't be worse. read more

I ordered the durian coffee. It was my first time trying it, and I was surprised by how well the two paired together. The coffee shop was very cute and smelled so good inside! The owner was very kind and even brought the drinks to us when they were ready. The drink itself was a bit sweet. I do wish there was more coffee and durian flavor compared to the condensed milk. I still finished my drink though and will definitely be back to try their banana matcha :) read more
They have the BEST Smashed Avocado drink ever holy crap. I tried this place for the first time today as I saw them on Yelp as well as a Tiktok video. I was deciding between the Pandan Milk Tea and the Smashed Avocado, will go back next time and try the Pandan! Smashed Avocado - 12/10, so good, not too sweet I overheard that the owner was the one at the cashier, I saw him work the front, help in the back, and was even delivering drinks to the customers himself (including me). I appreciate how hands-on he is and I hope his business continues to grow! The drinks are amazing :D read more

As someone who is trying different matchas to see if there's a matcha I actually will like, I was slightly disappointed by Aroma. By no means am I a matcha expert, nor am I a frequent consumer of matcha. The store was pretty packed when I was there and parking was no joke since the other businesses were pretty packed in the plaza too. The drink did take a while, but I chalk that up to just having a large crowd at the store. I got the strawberry matcha since I am a fan of strawberry, however I couldn't really taste strawberry in the drink at all. Maybe would come by to try the pandan milk tea or pandan matcha. read more

had this place three times now and my favorite has to be the pandan milk tea with pandan jelly. the pandan is flavorful and balances well with milk tea; a refreshing drink. i also enjoy the pandan matcha!! its pretty good and i like it better than banana matcha. imo i prefer academic's because the banana is foam. aroma has unique drinks and my parents enjoy the che drinks! aroma is popular for a reason, so its worth checking out! read more
The matcha here is so good, but they put way too much ice. I've been here many times and half of the drink is ice. I always choose the less ice option too, so I don't even want to know what "regular ice" is. It would be a 5/5 if they had a better ratio between ice and drink. read more
Saw this place on Yelp and decided to come here for a sweet treat before dinner. The moment we walked in, the photos of the drinks on the side of the walls captivated me. We were having trouble deciding what to get when almost immediately Ksang noticed and asked if we were first-timers. He proceeds to give us recommendations and explains certain drinks to us. I had seen a sweet corn latte on Yelp, but could not find it on their menu so I mentioned it and they let me know it was a secret menu drink! Richard, the owner, happened to walk out at that moment and said they could make it for us! We ended up ordering the smashed avocado and sweet corn latte! The smashed avocado reminded me of the Filipino avocado with condensed milk dessert. Lots of avocado 10/10! The sweet corn was my favorite! Very strong in corn, a little on the sweeter side but still 20/10. Richard was kind enough to put some matcha cream foam into it for me to cut the sweetness. Richard also gave us a purple rice with avocado on the house. Tastes like a purple rice with sweet cream and a hint of avocado. My bf liked this more than the smashed avocado! Great little coffee spot located in a very dense strip mall in San Jose. The service here is friendly and although they serve coffee, the vibe here is almost more like a dessert spot. The space itself is not large, but the place feels clean and modern. I came here after dinner for a pick me up because I was about to hit the road and drive for a long time. I ended coming here and ordering the egg coffee because it's a coffee drink and kind of a dessert all in one! The coffee was delicious and well made. It was ready shortly after ordering, so not an issue there. Really great spot and great location to compliment the other spots in the area. Parking could get tricky. Because the strip mall is really dense and there are a lot of businesses/ restaurants, this place seems to always be busy. Of the times I have been though, I've been pretty lucky finding parking even if I had to park on the other side of the lot of the places I went to. read more
2/10 Hojicha Milk Tea $6.50 - one of the worst milk teas I've had. I asked for less ice and regular sweetness but it was about a 10% sweetness level and the tea flavor was very light. This review is solely for the banana cream matcha. If you're looking for a well-balanced banana cream matcha, I highly recommend Aroma. The matcha is smooth and the banana cream has a naturally sweet, pure banana flavor. I've tried banana cream matcha at several other places and they've often felt unbalanced -- one flavor usually overpowers the other. That isn't the case here; the flavors complement each other perfectly. Customers can order either through the kiosk or at the cash register and there is a discount for paying with cash. In my visits so far, the staff have been pleasant. I also appreciate that they clearly list what goes into each item and include photos, which is especially helpful for visual learners like myself. The shop is located in Paloma Plaza, where parking can be a bit tricky. The interior is very contemporary and modern. read more

Like any other boba place in San Jose, matcha madness has taken over a lot of menus and hype. And if you've fallen into this matcha adventure, you might've heard about Aroma and how popular it is. So the day finally came where I got to try it! Historically, this place was known for their classic Vietnamese chè desserts and recently, their banana matcha drink! My friends who are regulars here recognize that the same workers work often and are dedicating so much time and care into this place so when you're getting a dessert or drink here, you're not just getting a drink, but something that was carefully thought out by people who genuinely care about their menu. With that said, as a first timer with lots of supporting context, Aroma indeed is delicious and rightfully deserves the recognition for their matcha drinks and creativity! I've tried lots of banana matcha drinks at other places even nearby Aroma and oftentimes with duo flavor drinks, it's hard to master the perfect balance of just enough banana and just enough matcha, so I was super scared of how much their banana might overpower the matcha like most places have done so. But to my surprise, Aroma's banana matcha was light, refreshing, and came with a banana chip! It's unique and the rightful balance was there! The banana flavor wasn't overpowering and complimented the matcha very well. 10/10, finally! Customer service was very sweet and you can order at the kiosk or at the counter. The line wasn't long when we came on a Saturday afternoon and they have some small seating and tables for those that want to enjoy their desserts over a nice chat. (Perfect for matcha dates!) Given the variety of matcha options in the same plaza, Aroma is the perfect choice for you if you're taking a dip into the world of unique matcha flavors. And for a place that constantly has new creative flavors, they've master the balance of their flavors exceptionally well. read more

It wasn't busy and went on a Friday afternoon and the service was super fast. I got the lychee milk tea and it's so good!! I want to try other drinks too but I would definitely come back for the lychee milk tea!! And love the little petals in the drink too. The drink was also a perfect sweetness for me. lots of consistency issues with the matcha here. today is the worst it's been. clump and separating matcha :( overall matcha is pretty mid which sucks because they have fun flavors + rotating matcha menu. I still come cause it's so close to home but im def over it now. Though service has always been good, always a nice guy offering suggestions and chats. read more
