It took 15 minuets for someone to come to our table & take our drink order. We waited 50 minuets for our appetizers. Food came not too long after with no apology from our server. Food was fine. read more

Hostesses could use a little more personality, barely smiled and acknowledge us leaving...service was slow even though the establishment wasn't crowded..bar maid too busy to follow-up on our meals...food was a bit salty depending on what you order...the slider was "lost" between the buns read more

Well I can't really speak about the food or drinks because we unfortunately didn't get that far, but the customer service was terrible! I went there with a group of friends for a quick drink for a bachelorette party. The limo company was supposed to make a reservation for us, but it appears that the wrong date may have been given to the restaurant by accident and there wasn't a reservation for us on the night we went. The issue wasn't the lack of a reservation, but the lack of friendly customer service from the hostess. I understand that everyone has off days and that the restaurant business can be stressful, but she was particularly rude. The wait was over an hour for a table and she told us there wasn't room for the seven of us at the bar. If this had been a regular night I would have understood, but this was obviously a special occasion and I think she could have tried a little bit harder to accommodate us instead of being incredibly dismissive. read more

We have been here numerous times. We had the best bartender tonight. Shane greeted us immediately and kept our beverages full and fresh. Shane was extremely friendly and personal. He made us all want to come back. read more

Last night was my first time there and had a great experience. Food took a little to come out, but once it did was very good. The cocktails i had were very refreshing. My bartender was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and helped me order my dinner and drinks, thanks to her i will return! Thank you Dominic! Keep up the great work read more

The food was sub par and we waited an hour to get the check. We had somewhere to be so just ended up leaving the money on the table. Horrible service and it wasn't that busy. Wait staff didn't seem to care about customers. Definitely not going back. read more

Not sure how recently the menu changed, but it took my last experience from bad to great... the food was delicious and service was definitely better than it was six months ago. I am glad we gave it a second chance will definitely be back soon. read more

This is a very nice sports bar... Thank God we have 2 good ones. Including BWW. So this way one won't be super packed. Im a fan of Buffalo wild wings but this place is just as good... Well done. read more

Nice looking place! But over rated! Food was just average, tasted not fresh and came cold. Service was also not very good! We even told our bartender that our wings were cold and she just said oh and continued on. Very overpriced for just blah food! We do not recommend if you are going for a good meal! If you want the bar experience than by all means try it! read more

Arooga's is great, one of the best restaurants in the Lancaster area. Great sports atmosphere throughout all seasons, great food, and great beer. The prices are pretty decent, considering they always seem to have some sort of promotion going on, wing nights, etc. Whether I'm going out with the boys to watch the game, or with the girls too, Arooga's is A1. read more

Very big disappointment, I have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally convinced my husband to go. We did the wait list through Yelp which was awesome. Only had to wait about two minutes for our table. I ordered the Berry Sangria which was a little too dry for a Berry Sangria but oh well, different people make it different ways. I'd know not to order it next time. We then tried the Pete's Pepper Jack Cubes. It was the most bland pepper jack cheese that I have ever had. The only zing that I got was from the honey mustard they give you to dip it in. My husband had the baked potato soup and salad combo. The best he could say was that the salad was good. I tried the soup and wasn't impressed either. There was just so much cheese that you couldn't even tell it was potato soup. I had the Jalepeno Lime Chicken and Shrimp Fajitas. Big mistake! There was absolutely no lime or Jalepeno flavor in the sauce. I was give 3 shrimp - a mommy sized, a daddy sized and a little baby sized. The chicken was just over the line of being overcooked. I want to give it another chance because so many things on the menu looked good but I doubt I will be able to convince my husband to give it another try. read more

So there I was, walking into Arooga's in Lancaster for the first time. I walked up to the bar, there were 2 other people sitting at the enormous three sided bar, behind the bar I counted 5 bartenders and what looked to be two managers. Great, I'm going to get good service... WRONG. I waited there for 5 minutes, god only knows why, they weren't busy at all. Finally the one girl came up to me and said "Are you ready to order?" .... "Ready to order, how would I do that, I don't have a menu and don't you usually get someone a drink first?" After getting a drink which took too long considering it was a water, I ordered the Soup and Salad combo for $9.99. Twenty-seven minutes later(I know because I timed it) they brought be a salad that consisted of brown lettuce, overcooked chicken and a Holocaust sized portion of Tomato Basil Soup. Of course they didn't bring cesar dressing with my chicken cesar salad.... Why would they?!?! I ate the salad, then I got to the soup.... Arooga's is a chain restaurant, I understand that most menu items are prepared in bulk, but literally there wasn't enough salt and pepper in the shakers to give this disgusting water like soup any taste. After I was finished I sat there for ten minutes waiting on my check another five to run my card, and walked out, and will never be back again. The staff couldn't of handled the crowd at the bar for a Division 3 woman's basketball game today, I can only imagine what type of service you get during a Prime Time NFL or College football game...... read more

Arooga's in Lancaster is a great sports bar for people with celiac. There menu has quite a few options for us. I always get the ribs and tater tots! Excellent. And the best part is that they carry gluten reduced beer for those of us who love beer but cannot have the gluten. We will return often with friends. read more

We went here for the first time last evening and it was a very enjoyable experience. The hostess at the door was very personable and scored our family party a great table. We had a baby and 6 adults and we were seated promptly. The service was excellent and the food was good. We will come again, good job Aroogas read more

Should've listened to past reviews. Not worth the bill or the wait here. Menu looks amazing...actual results not so much. Appetizers came out piggy-backed to entrees. No silverware. My General Tso wrap sounded better than it was...think it sat back there or something. My daughter's burger was cooked unevenly and just blah. Appetizer sampler was just mediocre. read more

Stopped in at 6 on a Friday night with my 12 year old son. We were placed at a table right next to the bar. Not their fault as I didn't ask to be sat away from the bar. When I asked to be moved though, that became their fault. My waitress led us over the receptionist table and loudly declared, "they don't want to sit at the bar". I should have walked out right then. My son ordered the burger with a fried egg on top and fries, he loved his food and it looked really well cooked and delicious to me. I ordered buffalo chicken mac and cheese. When it came out, the chicken was plain but the mac and cheese was filled with buffalo sauce. Usually, the mac and cheese cools the hot sauce, which is why it's a good combination. Every other place that sells it, makes the chicken spicy, not the mac and cheese. I never touched more than a bite of the plain chicken as the first bite of chicken was really fatty. I then tried the mac and cheese, pasta was so soft and overcooked, I asked the waitress for our check. I would have told her how gross my food was, but when she rolled her eyes when I asked for the check a minute after my food was served, I assumed there was no point. Will never return. Worth mentioning they had a ton of TVs and a HUGE drink selection, it may be a good spot to catch a buzz while watching the game but probably not the place to order anything but bar food i.e. burgers, fries and onion ring type foods. read more

Good atmosphere, other than the fact that they label themselves a sports bar and don't put on sound for a game. Requested sound for a college basketball game and they said no because it's dinner so they play music... manager's rule. They play sound on Sundays for NFL during dinner, so what's the difference? read more

Went in for a quick meal and a beer on a Wednesday night. Sat at the bar and no other customers were there. By the time the bartender came up to us it was 15 minutes later, the bar filled up and everyone was served before us. Then it took 20 minutes for the bartender to actually put our order in, then after another 25 minutes our food, which consisted of 1 wrap and 1 side salad, still wasn't out. We paid for our drinks and cancelled the food. Unless you have 2 hours+ to kill, don't bother! Or.... Sit at a table. read more

My friends and I went to the Arooga's on Centerville Road in PA on March 3rd. After we got seated, our waiter, Karlie, took our drink and food order right away. After that we didn't see her for 50 minutes; she didn't check on us to see if we needed refills or update us on the status of our food since we were waiting 50 minutes. The restaurant was not that busy and our waiter had three other tables from what we saw. She was very attentive to the other tables, but ours. We finally got our cold food after 50 minutes and she checked on us onceI got the truffled Mac and cheese (I've had it before) and their was a really gross after taste, so I asked the manager for a refund and she was very pleasant about it- super nice. Also I ordered the truffled mac and cheese as an appetizer and it came out cold with my food. After I got the refund I finally gave the waiter money to pay for my bill, and she never gave me my change after we waited for 15 minutes. It was like 90 cents so I wasn't concerned, but that was her tip because she was not friendly or attentive to us. We also heard complaints from other tables this waiter had. This one table was seated before us and we got our food before them. The table asked her the status of their order and she said she'd check. She came back and said that they were just putting it together now. Not even five minutes later, they got their food. The one girl at the table complained about her food right away and walked out. read more

The food is great. The service is not. My family which is a party of 6 was seated and 20 minutes later, we still hadn't even gotten so much as a "we will be with you soon, sorry!". We got up and walked out and not one employee blinked an eye. Really poor service and very disappointing. read more

Okay I've eaten here three times already and albeit the service isn't speedy , the waiters and waitresses are very pleasant and knowledgeable. If you're into the whole sports bar thing this is the place to be I am guessing plenty of TVs you won't miss a thing. It looks like the restaurant is a redo of a previous establishment. They put a ton of money into technology in the place but one place I always look at in a restaurant is its bathrooms. The bathrooms at Aroogas Lancaster are horrible. When updating an establishment at least throw a few grand to your restrooms. It looks like they may have put some new faucets or sink tops in but the 25 30 year old tile in the bathroom has to go. Same with the bathroom stalls same age. The sink cabinets in the men's room were water rotted, really? Now they weren't dirty just ancient and run down. Not befitting the modern look they are trying to convey with the rest of the place. Solid 4 stars if not for the restrooms. Oh the food is great by the way, don't want to forget that. read more

Went in today with my wife and son. What a change from the Symposium it once was. I thought the place was kind of cool with the layout. The food was decent, we had the crab pretzel (gigantic), pretzel sticks, old bay wings (twice cooked ad $1 & $1 more for all drummies) $13 for a dozen wings. Server was attentive and friendly. Read the menu carefully because there is an up charge for everything. Overall a decent dining experience and would return. read more

Took my son to Aroogas this evening. ordered wings for both and a side salad for myself. Server was quick with drinks but when they brought the food out the person flung 10 wings into my sons lap (13 year old) coating him in wings and sauce all over his shirt and lap. the person apologized and said they would be back with something to clean it up. 5 minutes goes past as my son sits embarassed still coated in sauce. We grab paper towels from the people around us as our role was empty. The manager comes by saying they would pay for dry clean but never apologizing and still no more towels. Our server comes back with paper towels and the girl who dumped the wings finally brings a towel and cup of water. At this point I ask them to please put our things in togo contrainers as my son is not wanting to sit soaked in wing sauce to eat. They bring only the wings that were tossed in his lap and still dont have his wings. They finally bring our food to go and sever drops off the check for all the food with no discount. He then comes back and said the manager told him to take one of the wings and a drink off of the check. Our server then comes back and makes a crack to my son that "he could take his wings home and ring his shirt out on them for more sauce".. poor choice with poor service. Food is marginal at best but my son use to love the place. On the way home he asked me if we ever had to go back. Enough said...poorly done. read more

I was excited to see the healthy options on the menu here. We went to brunch on a Saturday with our granddaughter, they were not very busy and our waiter was attentive, if not a bit pushy at the beginning. We ordered drinks, then an appetizer and then after a bit, our meal. Our app (wings) took a long time, and then our meals came right on top of them, with a small table, it was difficult to manage. I tried to ask my waiter two times why I did not have a Bleu cheese olive in my Bloody Mary like advertised and he never checked. After our lunch, I checked with the bar and they informed me they were out. I wish he could have just asked. Our food was not correct. My Husband ordered his hamburger with no bun and it came with the bun. Our waiter was not interested. When I showed him my medium well done burger that was very pink in the center he also was not impressed and when I asked if it looked med.well, he said "sort of". The people around us also had difficulty. Every time we have tried this restaurant, it has not been good. Too bad, I have been to good Arroogas and this one doesn't seem able to live up to the others. read more

We come here often and really enjoy the food and wings. The problem here lies in management and consistency. Food comes served one way one day and different the next and it's frustrating. Tonight 1/27/2018 we were forgotten and sat without a visit to our table from a waitress for about a half hour. Our waitress finally came and was very helpful. We ordered and after 45 minutes without food, I politely and respectfully spoke with the woman who identified herself as the manager who said she would take care of it. Some of our food came about 10 minutes later and a salad had to be sent back, while we had to wait another 5 minutes for the rest of it. I can deal with mistakes, but it's frustrating when it seems like those in charge don't care. Although it would have been nice, I'm not saying she had to give us a discount or alter the bill. The least the manager could have done would have been to at least check in after we received our food to make sure everything was okay, or if we needed anything else. That never happened, several times she walked right past our table without care. Zero follow up. As we exited we walked right past her and she didn't say a word, not even a have a good night or thanks for coming in. We come here pretty regularly and it's frustrating to receive such poor service. read more

Went here on opening night. Had to wait an hour after being told it would be 30 minutes. Half the tables inside and outside were open. We were told there wasn't enough staff to wait on the tables. If you're not prepared to take on a crowd then I don't know why they opened in the first place short staffed. Some people stayed, many stormed out pissed and confused. I waited an hour for a burnt burger that I had to send back the first time because it came out wrong. It tasted like they scraped everything I didn't want on it off and recooked it to make me think it was a new burger so it was burnt tasting. Also got the boneless wings. Nothing spectacular. Same as any other wing joint around here, maybe slightly worse. Also my friend ordered fries and they forgot to bring them out. The waiter said it would be 10-15 minutes for more fries. Then a manager must have noticed we looked disappointed, came over and told us he can bring us fries in a minute. Thank god he came over because he did deliver on his promise and brought out piping hot fries within 2 minutes. I get it's the grand opening and there will be miscommunication but the staff in the kitchen seemed incompetent and the waiters were overwhelmed. I want to try the place again but every time I go by its super crowded. They must be doing something right to get big crowds every night. read more

This place was great when it first opened but my past couple visits have been awful mostly due to just poor service the past few times. But today we order two bacon jam Gouda burgers which when they came we're about the size of a mcdouble round. The burger patties were about a 1/4 inch thick and were dry, cold and flavorless. They were quite disgusting actually. We were then informed AFTERWARD that these new burgers are not the same size and that is why they give the option to double the burger which would still not even make it a decent size. Now to his credit the manager did come out and apologized and gave a discount but I still don't think we'll ever come back. It was truly the worst burger I've had in my life. read more

I have been wanting to try Arooga's for awhile and I finally talked my husband into going. It was the first and will probably be the last time we will eat here. I gave it one star because the only thing I enjoyed was my orange crush. We both got burgers, ordered them medium well and they were well to charred. The cheese on mine was put on last minute because it was cold and not melted on. My fries, while they had a good flavor, were cold. Oh, and let's not forget the appetizer. We ordered garlic parmesan wings which were more like wings drenched in Italian salad dressing. I could smell it as soon as they hit the table. The service, while not poor, wasn't great either. Having been a server for a top chain restaurant, I'm very aware of how other servers treat their customers and it's obvious that your servers need A LOT of training! After reading the reviews, one would think you would have made changes by now, but obviously by passing them along to district managers doesn't seem to matter. Maybe Arooga's should go back to being the Symposium. read more

The place itself appears very nice. The staff isn't very friendly, if you are trying to get the bartender or server's attention they have no problem ignoring you. Some of them are also quite rude. Worst food I ever had. We had a 6:00 pm reservation for 8. They gave our table to another group so we waited 30 minutes for a table, another 30 minutes for our drinks and 1 hour and 55 minutes for our food. My chicken & shrimp salad on posta was cold with 2 shrimp & 4 little chunks of chicken. No silverware, they actually asked if we wanted any - DUH !! I must say the water came quickley. Would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

The service was awful and the food very mediocre. Being in the restaurant business for years, I am actually a very lenient customer...understanding if poor service is a result of being very busy. This place was maybe 1/2 full. We called ahead for seating, and we waited 45 minutes after arriving (with only one other family waiting). I was patient about the wait, but the service after being seated was unexplainable and inexcusable. We waited over an hour for our food (for 3 adults and two kids) after placing out order. You shouldn't have any customer wait that long, especially my hungry 2-year old! Once the food FINALLY arrived, it was very mediocre... The menu looked promising, but overall a huge disappointment. read more

Came in for lunch around 1pm on a Friday with 4 others. We decided to sit at the bar because it is usually faster than table service since we were on our lunch break, but boy we were wrong. They seemed really short staffed at the bar. Amanda H. was our bartender and she was trying her best to keep up. We sat down and ordered drinks and wings right away and 40 minutes later we still did not have our food. It's ridiculous to wait 40 minutes just for wings. The boneless wings saved them but they need to figure out better service / keeping up with orders. read more

Six of us went to Aroogas on Saturday the 11th for my wife's birthday. We did a call ahead, and waited 30 minutes for 5:15 seating. We understood for the most part. Except they had 50 people waiting to eat, and a whole section of the place with empty tables. It didn't make sense, but who am I to judge. We were waited on by a young man, polite, and took our drink order, came back 10 minutes later with drinks, and we gave our appetizers and entree. My soup arrived 20 minutes later, another appetizer had to be asked for a second time, and arrive 20 minutes after mine. We never saw our server between these times. 3 minutes after the late appetizer showed up, so did our food, which was now an hour after seating. We never saw the server again during our meal, no refills... until we were all done, and he asked for desserts. Everyone was disappointed. read more

I was at Aroogas at the bar tonight for a very laid back drink and wings with my sister. It was not busy in the slightest. Our first bartender was extremely pleasant and gave great service as I ordered wings, a drink, and later an extra shot that I nursed for over an hour while talking with my sister. The first waitress must have been busy doing side jobs or other things when Kasay was then taking care of the people sitting at the bar. I had wings left in a basket that she picked up to take and I very simply let her know that I wasn't done with the wings (the basket had a napkin in it that I was using so I really didn't mind that she assumed I was done) to which she whipped herself around as she rolled her eyes and walked the other way. I let it go and about 2 minutes later she came back and then attempted to take a 1/3 full can of redbull to which I very simply said again that I wasn't done with and again got the same harsh eye roll, whip around and attitude walking away. The other patrons even looked stunned. The cherry on top was when 2 minutes later she asked for my shot glass that was 1/2 full, and again, the attitude that I said I wasn't done with it. I had served for over 7 years and never in my time serving would I have treated a customer like I was treated, especially unprovoked. ..and I have dealt with MANY rude customers. The kicker was that she walked back to where we were at the bar and was over the top friendly and talkative to 2 guys who were sitting very close to us, the same guys who looked as stunned at her attitude towards me as my sister and I were. Her manager (or another employee??) encouraged me to write a review! They close at 2am and we certainly weren't overstaying our welcome by being there at 8:30pm. If I were the manager, I would certainly give the busy shifts to someone who is better fit for customer service and who treats paying customers equally and with an ounce of the same respect that they give the staff. I'm sure I haven't been the only customer to witness to how rude she was. read more
