Huge sports bar - sporting events on tv's everywhere which is fine if you're a guy who loves sports. If you're a woman who isn't that into it, you pretty much have to listen that. As an aside -why can't these sports bars throw us a bone and put on a decorating show on one of the 45 tv's in house? LOL! Anyway - the food: we've been here a few times now + one visit to their York location. My favorite items are the Guiltless wings, their ribs and the BBQ ranch chicken salad. But, today I had the Waygu Burger cooked medium w/a gluten free bun. Honestly, the whole thing was so salty I could barely choke it down. Not sure if it was so salty because of the bacon, the cheese or the heavy-handed chef? Either way -I could not finish it. And the beef patty itself looked like a frozen patty...kind of uniform in shape and bright red in the center. No bueno...I definitely cannot recommend the Waygu burger. So, stick with the Wings or ribs and I think you'll enjoy it.They also make one of the best on-the-rocks margaritas I've had --especially if you get a sugar rim --it's to die for! ps -I wish they had a dedicated potato fryer so gluten free people like me could eat the fries. Instead, they always bring me Tater Tots, which I find salty & tasteless. read more

The bartender rianna was too busy to give good service to the people at the bar. She seemed to only care about money. She paid no mind to anyone who didn't have money in front of them. She is the laziest and most inattentive bartender I have ever experienced. read more

Our first time here the service and food was great! Our server Sierra was very nice and informative. The atmosphere was pleasant. Would definitely come back! read more

I like aroogas but not this location. Seems like the staff doesnt have any brain cells. Ive tried them 3 or 4 times before writing this review. Everytime I swap out something on the menu they get so confused as if its unheard of. Food always come out either over cooked or looks like the "cook" just literally threw everything together on the plate. I won't be back to this location. read more

I am sorry, I have been here twice now and still prefer buffalo wild wings over this restaurant. This place seems more costly for less of the food. The only thing that is really nice is the outside seating with an fire pit. read more

The call-ahead seating option is a little silly. When people that did call-ahead arrived they were told that since they did CA that they would be bumped to the top of the list. So if I show up and I'm told an hour wait, shouldn't I just have a member of my party do call ahead and get "bumped." It was also a little disappointing to hear the manager (asst.?) give people she knows special treatment. Literally, in front of a waiting room full people she says "just cheat the system and I'll seat them." I understand it was anniversary menu day. However, if all these people knew about it to make it busy, you knew it would be busy, too. At the time of this review you are looking at 2.5/5 stars - pretty bad for a major chain like this. Also at the time of this review, there are 25 tables open, only 2 have stuff dishes on them. Seems like a lot needs to be worked out. read more

Our local business called THREE WEEKS before Christmas to book a holiday party for 12. We were told we would have the private room. The DAY of the party, 3 hours before dinner, the manager Megan called to tell us the regional manager Alex Suade kicked us out of the private room to seat a larger party of 50 that had JUST BOOKED! (more money of course). They said they could put us on the general "floor". Being a business owner, I would never treat my clients like this! We found another place to eat, and had a better, more intimate, meal. We will never eat here again, and we are getting the message out to all our friends, clients and friends...don't book a party here! A district manager may kick you out of a room you had booked for three weeks, 3 hours before your dinner to seat non-planners! I'm so disgusted!!! read more

I had the wings and ribs never again will i eat here but the beer was crisp, cold and the price of the beer was fair. My date didn't like the onion rings but loved her wrap... read more

We had a blast! Needed somewhere to go w fun couple and our 5 yr old. This was perfect place! He colored, helped play trivia game.... All our food was good. Only suggestion to chef- Dijon mustard in the Stromboli!! Not Yellow mustard. Moms old recipe! Sliders were great size for me, getting 3. Tots awesome- they were out of the sauce we wanted but easily offered a sauce similar. Kid was happy! Adults enjoyed! Cool comfortable atmosphere , we shall return! read more

We have been to the Lancaster location several times. This time was not great. The wait time from ordering drinks, to ordering food, and then getting food is too long. It was not busy this afternoon but they already were out of house chips, apple slices, and pork. The waitress was no where to be found once we had our food. It will be awhile till we go back. read more

Gave it 2 stars because the bathroom was clean but no soap, otherwise would have been 1 star. The service was slow and the not attentive. The food took forever. The place is known for wings but they were not fully cooked. Bottom line...won't be back! read more

I will have to pass on this place. My first visit was great, wings were cooked and sauced to perfect and I couldn't wait to come back but since they are in the Lancaster, York Pa area it's not so easy being from NJ. So we're shopping in Lancaster for the day so I was excited to come back. What a disappointment. I actually did something I never do! I sent the wings back and told them how to finish the deal. Wings were under cooked and the fries had so much old bay on them they were practically inedible. The reviews reflected mediocre food but I decided against my better judgement based on my first experience. Shame on me. I will admit the service was very good and the place is a nice place to hang out in. Lotsa TV's roomy and clean. So sad the food doesn't reflect the same. Save yourself the trip if you're hungry. Too many other options in the area. No pic's they didn't deserve any. read more

Just left the Aroogas on Centreville RD and was very disappointed. It was my first and last time there because while the food was marginal at best the service was a notch below terrible. When I read a few years ago about their 30 location deal, I was glad to see a CenPenn company hit pay dirt, however I didn't think it was going to be to the detriment of their longstanding reputation...what a shame. Hopefully this place closes soon or gets new management or it will close soon. For the first time since using yelp, I did not read the reviews before going to Arooga's to celebrate my son's birthday and will never make that mistake again when trying a new place. The experience upset me more than my son because I was bartender for twelve years before switching careers 20 years ago. At least Seth tried to be more attentive but not all that hard because he had to rely on an unavailable and inept co-bartender who never introduced herself but did pour our beers and take our appetizer order and then disappeared for quite awhile. I had to flag Seth down to take our sandwich orders which he did do well. It's because of that brief moment of attention that they are getting 2 stars and not just one. The last straw was when Seth's ditzy co-bartender handed me our check with a pen without taking my credit card; we waited about 8 minutes before I had to get Seth to take care of it because our meals and beers had been empty for 12 minutes, by then. I don't know if anyone actually manages this location because we never saw such a person. This place is piss-poor on a good day and I'm being kind. read more

Returned for a mid-afternoon late lunch. We sat at the bar and we were greeted by Samai. She was pleasant and attentive. Had a jalapeño burger that was fantastic! Service was good but it was mid-afternoon and it wasn't busy. I've been here when it's moderately busy and experienced poor service. The jury's still out. I'll go back for that burger when they're busy and see how they do. read more

This is probably my favorite place to eat. I try to hustle family down here all the time just to eat here with me. I'm from shitty reading so we don't have places like this to eat. I can truly say every time i eat here i get the crab pretzel....that thing i would give 10 gold stars. It came to the point where i crave it all the time. i dig for my spare change in my car just to get one. I also can say whenever i come here i only ask for Sammy, BRI, or Alexis as my waitresses. They are some fine looking ladies, so don't bring you boyfriends here and ask for them.....just for the heads up. They also tend to every little needy thing i ask for. If i had $100 i would probably tip them that if i could. I can truly say this place has good servers and service. Catch y'all soon when i come on to eat my pretzel. read more

I got sauced, bossed, and tossed at Aroogas!! Amazing food and great service, thanks everyone here! The big pretzel really is like an 8th wonder of the world, along with the scary sweet bell peppers and hearty black and blue burger to complete the meal! My server Matt ROCKED and served me so well read more

Yes, its a sports bar. Food is above average, but service is horrible, and they know it is. Second time here, and yes its Friday happy, but bar and food service is just BAD. I will be going to Station House from now on read more

Great place to go watch the game, they have a ton of Tv's in there. Also some excellent appetizers but the chicken wings are my favorite they are so good! Plus they always have great service there. read more

Went in with friends sat at the bar. Ordered food and never came until over an hour worst service ever. And was not even busy on Thursday night 830 pm. Also went to use the rest room and pee all over toilet seat. Will never go back. read more

Pretty good appetizers, the waitresses are very nice! Also their mango mojito is good

These people were terrible we called ahead for seating and were told they could not do it. When we got there half the restaurant was empty and all of the staff was extremely disgruntled. After listening to the girls at the podium for a while....it was apparent that they were totally understaffed. When asked why the restaurant was half empty and they were making everybody wait at least a half an hour to 45 minutes they stated that they were letting the kitchen catch up. Later they admitted that they had a bunch of people in the kitchen staff call out. This was our second time there and the first experience was no better but we blamed it on them being new. Then dinner came out they got my wife's dinner wrong and mine had bacon which was raw in it. Never again they will never get a visit from my family ever. I gave them one star because the TVs were working! read more

Poor service, poor food and poor beverages. Will not be back. There is plenty of other location on Colombia avenue

Food was okay. Took forever to get it though...so not sure if it was actually good or if I was just starving. The experience would improve if I could pay the bill and leave. I am currently sitting endlessly at table waiting to pay. Contemplating a bun and run, but will likely just frantically try to wave down waitress for another 10 minutes. Hate it when restaurants make it hard for me to pay them. Isn't that their business model? Selling food and reasonable service? read more

Wings - Sauces are awesome. It's hit or miss if they put enough sauce on them. Other items on the menu are hit or miss also. The crab pretzel is good unless you had the one at the G-man in Hershey, then it misses the mark as Arooga's is pretzel bread where the G-man was an actual pretzel the size of the plate. Nacho's weren't as good. They cook them in the oven to melt the cheese, so you'll have burnt chips with soggy chips. Ribs were good as you get to select from the great list of sauces. Burgers are good, lots of toppings. Cheese fries that you add as a side miss the mark as the ranch is extra and you have to beg them to bring it to you. The side of cheese fries is better and usually gets to you warm, when the fries at their best. The menu has a great selection (unlike BWW) and I'm still working my way through it. And of course the beer selection is great, but the weekly incentives to come in aren't there yet. read more

Tried it the first time- not impressed. Mozzarella sticks where lukewarm and the cheese barely melted. Fries were cold and soggy. Burger smaller than the bun and just not impressive at all- how do you mess up a burger? Thought I'd give it a second chance, even worse than the first time. Chicken Caesar wrap was awful- one of the worst things I've ever eaten. These are all basic dishes so I'm not sure how you screw them up so much. Won't ever go back. read more

The food was pretty good, however our group thought the service was a bit slow and disconnected. We thought often times the server had too many tables to serve, and not enough time to focus on the customers. read more

We're in the middle of a crisis and are being asked to support our local restaurants by getting take out. We decided Friday late afternoon about 5:30/6:00 to order from Arooga's. Went on the website, picked out what we wanted. Tried to call the order in. At least 4 attempts, NO ONE ever answered. As a matter of fact, one extension sounded as if someone picked it up and hung up right away. I called today, Sunday, about the same time, got someone on the phone right away. I asked if they were closed Friday because I tried several times and never got to place an order. No apology, just 'we only have 2 people in the building, they were probably busy'. Seriously, a restaurant that serves as many as you do only has 2 people in the building to handle take out orders?? I'm not privy to covid regulations, so let's just say that you are only permitted to have 2 people onsite, or you're doing it for your employees' safety. Create some type of message that says this, so people trying to order know what to expect. If you are open for take out, people have the expectation that they might actually be able to do so. Very poorly handled. Your food is ok. Your service is ok. We likely will not return, definitely not going to try for take out again while on stay at home orders. read more

So i want to say that the food is great and everything was perfect and when it came time to pay our server blake asked for my id because thats what it says on my bank card he is the second person to ask for my id and that shows that he pays atention and respects and cares about his customers i will most definitely be back read more

Excellent Experience on game day We watched the Pats game on Sunday 1/1/17 but arrived early so we could get a seat. Don't ya know the place was empty. The waitress was right on though. She said the place would fill up at game time and she wasn't joking. Excellent waitress and friendly staff. The food was very good. I would definitely go back, Bring your appetite. And something to put out the fire after eating their famous hot wings!!! Go Patriots!!!! read more

Ordered through Grubhub, smallest excuses for wings we've ever seen, no meat on the bone. If we had been eating in the restaurant and received them we would have sent them back for sure. They also forgot a third of our order. For this, part of the blame needs to be put on Grubhub for not checking to make sure the complete order was there, but they did confirm it was not made. read more

This place had so much potential but their service is terrible. The food is great but they lose out on so much because the service is so slow. read more

Love Arooga's! The atmosphere, the food and of course the house vodka! Great for watching the football games as well. Great hanging out with friends! read more

Well I am a sucker and tried it again. With no luck. The poor bartender was by herself with about 30 people to serve. The salad was ordered without blue cheese and the kitchen staff sent it out with the blue cheese crumbles on it. When they returned with a new salad the corn on it was frozen. Can't win. read more

I'm a fan. My friends and I came here for 50 cent boneless wing night, and Arooga's did not disappoint. I personally ordered the Sudden Death wings and the sriracha wings. The wings were of good consistency - not too soggy, and certainly tasted fresh enough (unlike Buffalo Wild Wings). The sriracha was decent, but the taste of garlic mixed in overpowered the sauce. However, the sudden death wings brought the heat and flavor mix that I was looking for, and I would gladly order them again. The service was good, despite our waitress's attempts at convincing us otherwise. She was attentive, as prompt as she could be, and only really made one mistake that she was beating herself up over. Overall I'd go here again. read more

Great for sports entertainment but, food is over priced for the quantity you receive. Service is adequate.

Great setup for watching games no matter how many are on. The adult mac & cheese was alright and service was acceptable.

This is a very good sports bar. Service and food was very good. There's a ton of tvs to watch whatever sport you want.

The beer is cold and the wings are hot. What more could a sports fan want? Go, eat, drink, and have fun.

Been here a few times. Once was on football Sunday so it was packed. They were very accommodating to what game you want to watch. Another time we went, they must have been short staffed because we had to wait 25 minutes for a table and then once we were sat there were maybe 10 tables in the entire place. Food ended up coming out cold after we waited quite some time. Picked up a take out order a few times and to get the bartenders to even acknowledge that you're there is ridiculous. Not to mention the charge they add for getting take out. read more

Been to most of the locations and to this one at least 5 times. I am not sure what happened but went down hill big time. Staff are not interested and bartender was a pro at ignoring the customers. Food was lacking and did not have a good experience my wife will never go back. It is a shame the other locations are great but this one is giving them a bad name. read more
