Extremely disappointing Father's Day dinner. We called ahead and were told there was no wait, but when we arrived we still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. The manager seated us, and even after telling him we needed a high chair for our 15-month-old, it took another 5 minutes to get one. Chips and salsa came out quickly, but we waited 8-10 minutes just to get drinks. Our cheese crisp took 30 minutes, and after that we waited a full hour for our meals. When the food finally arrived, we had no silverware and had to wait even longer--thankfully the table behind us offered theirs. To top it all off, it took another 20 minutes just to pay the bill. Our server was very nice and clearly doing his best, but he was completely overwhelmed and oversat. The whole restaurant seemed to be running with minimal staff, and unfortunately the customer experience suffered because of it. Overall, this was a huge waste of a trip out and a very disappointing Father's Day dinner. We won't be back. read more

We met our friends here for lunch today and had a great experience! I wish I'd asked for our waitresses name she was exceptional! Everyone really liked their food too. I had cheese n onion enchiladas and hubby had a burrito, our friends had shrimp tacos and some cheesy chicken dish. I can't believe that my first time visiting was yesterday. Our "Galentine's Day get together was held here and there were 30 of us! They can accommodate large groups, give separate checks and keep up with requests. All of the staff worked together to ensure that our food was prepared and came out fresh. I enjoyed the chips and salsa which the bean dip was my favorite. The decor was interesting with all the animals hanging around you. They did have an issue with the Pepsi machine but it was rectified quickly. Now the service went above and beyond my expectations! Natalie was a dear sweetheart and took care of all of us. For my first time, I had a great experience. When you come through the door, there are specials that you can order from as well. I passed it by when I first walked in because I didn't see it. They also have a nice little bar and I recommend this place especially for large groups. read more

I am always looking for good Mexican food and frequently Yelp around looking for something new. I found Arriba to be pretty close to by stomping grounds in Goodyear and thought I'd give 'em a go. The outside is right on McDowell Rd. and looks like a festive place to dine. At the entrance is a very nice patio with a tropical mural painted on the wall. It made me wish it weren't winter! Upon entering, we were cheerfully greeted and seated quickly. The dining room is interesting and has Mexican stone walls with water drizzling down them. It the atmosphere was that of a secluded cool grotto and very comforting. Our server showed up shortly and asked for our drink orders. They did have a limited number of beer on draft which was a little disappointing, but did have an IPA in the bottle that I enjoyed. They then brought out chips, salsa and bean dip. I thought the bean dip was original and a tasty addition. My favorite Mexican food style is New Mexican. And Arriba's menu is full of New Mexican fare with lots of Hatch green Chile options. That's a big score with me! I decided on the New Mexico stacked enchiladas with an over easy egg on top. Top that with lettuce/onion and you have a meal made in heaven! While I am used to just plain cheese enchiladas, I dd try the beef this time. The beef was good and was not overdone with the typical taco meat seasoning. My wife had Hatch chicken especial which she really enjoyed as well. I think Arriba is a nice variation in Mexican food styles and look forward to discovering new dishes that I have not tried. Definitely a New Mexico style Mexican food which is a nice change of pace from Sonoran style that we are all so used to. Service was good ambiance was well stereotypically what you would expect. To start with I wanted the spinach queso but I was quickly outvoted by the rest of the table who wanted the queso fundido with chorizo and I wouldn't admit to them was pretty tasty! My partners chicken breast was a tad dry and the steamed vegetables was a tad underdone. Monterey shrimp was good in a cheese sauce with hatch chilis definitely had a kick to it. The shrimp even covered in yummy sauce some were perfect one or two were tough and chewy so that would be my only complaint. The consensus was everyone liked this food for the most part so I would definitely go back for another round! read more

It was nothing like it used to be. The inside was dirty old and worse of all so dusty. Everywhere. There is a terrible mold smell, like a bathroom was cleaned with dirty rags. It was terrible and if it wasn't for the hurry we were in, we would have left. The server was wearing a mask but only barely covering his mouth. He was huffing and puffing the entire time. Like it was too much to even move around. Breathing all over the food. Not careful at all. He was nice but doesn't excuse it all. Can't imagine how that kitchen is. The place is so big it could really use a nice redecorating and a really deep deep clean. The service has always been nice. But the atmosphere the dirtiness and the food was all not worth it. My fajita was burnt to a crisp. Completely INEDIBLE!! I left all my food. I ate only the chips and guacamole. read more

Today our server was Hailey, I'm not sure if she was having an off night or if she typically has a bad attitude, but she was not friendly and made our experience quite awkward. We typically enjoy this atmosphere but after today's encounter it might take a while to come back and try it again. The food was great, and the bean dip is delicious, only thing that made this experience so awful was the attitude of the server. If you can't like your job, you should find something else. read more

Wow! Hatch Chili heaven! If you like spicy, this is your place. There are TONS of options on the menu that feature hatch chilis with Hatch Green Chili Chicken, Pork, or Beef dishes. We were greeted at the door and sat promptly at a nice booth. This restaurant has really nice decor lining the floors, walls, and ceilings. Our server came over pretty quick to hand us our menus and get our drink order, but after that service got slower. After she brought us over the chips and salsas, we ordered an appetizer of Queso Fundito. The waitress never offered to refill my water glass and after we ordered our food, it was a solid 30 minutes before it came out. But, let's get to the taste of the food. The Queso Fundito was super creamy. Not much flavor except for cream cheese, so I put some of the cilantro fresh salsa in there to wake it up. That was a good mix because the two items alone, were pretty meh. I don't think it is worth the $9.69 asking price, so I'd skip this if I were you. The mango frozen margarita came blended nicely with a strong mango flavor and a STRONG pour. Might've just been the tequila, haha. The Chili Verde platter was great. Nice tender Pork, massive portion that needs more than two little taco shells, with surprisingly good rice and beans. It needed salt to bring the flavor out, but it was otherwise seasoned well. It was also all pretty warm so it felt freshly made. Overall, we liked our food, the variety on the menu, and we will be returning to try new dishes! read more

Food service. Yes, thank you Donald, the price of everything is going up. 2 people, 2 average plates (shrimp enchants/shrimp tacos) with rice and beans, the food was underwhelming. For 2 shrimp enchiladas, you would think they would be over baked. Nope, shrimp wrapped in cold tortilla and a white cream sauce that was supposed to be hatched chile white sauce. The drink (afternoon special was okay. Price with 20% tip was $100 plus. That would be fine if the food was more authentic. I do not recommend this restaurant for lunch. read more

I went to.Goodyear location on Sat around 4pm and have been here many times. The food has always been good. The hostess sat me in the back. I sat there at least 10-15 minutes, and serverswalked passed me several times without even acknowledging me. I got up and went to the bar. I told the hostess that no one ever came to my table. A new restaurant across the street just opened and was packed. If they expect to stay in business,they are going to have to step up their customer service. They may have sat me right away, but it doesn't do any good if no one waits on you. The bartender served me, and the food was good. Would I come back, I'm undecided about that. My bill was $50.00 with food and drinks and I'm a good tipper. We have choices, and I know it's hard getting good help. All they had to do was acknowledge me. My husband and I went to go eat for Cinco de Mayo very festive atmosphere they had a DJ out side which was so nice the wait was 35 mins it actually went by very quick.
