My original brakes lasted 62k. Theirs lasted less than 30k even though they said they were OE. They gave me the run around and expected me to pay for parts and they would pay for labor. The price they gave me was the same as the shop by my house including labor for BMW parts. Check to make sure they are installing OE if that's what you paid for. read more

Hands down - one of the best experiences I've ever had with an auto shop. Wasn't surprised to find they have 20 reviews with a 5-star average. Their friendly, knowledgeable, and honest staff was able to fit me in at the last minute. I lost track of time and came later than their shop hours. They were still there. Since their registers were closed I couldn't pay but they simply said, "come back tomorrow when it's convenient and you can pay then." Here's a quick bullet list: Great Job! I normally don't do yelp reviews but wanted to do one for Arrows Automotive for their great customer service. Specifically want to call out Paul for his diligence with getting my issues with my car resolved EVEN WHEN THEY WERE NOT HIS FAULT. The story: I brought my car in when my transmission kicked the curb because of the high ratings. Arrows Automotive doesn't actually do much with transmissions but they said they recommended Kings Transmission across the street cause they have a good transmission builder and they would bring it over there for me and I could pick it back up from Arrows when it was done so I wouldn't have to work with them. It turned out that my transmission needed rebuilt and it was going to cost a lot of money. Someone from Kings Transmission called me and was VERY rude didn't want to take time to explain anything, pretty much told me "pay us or shut up and come get this junk." Luckily Paul called me right away and he already knew that I was going to be frustrated after talking with Kings. He took the time to explain in detail why it made more sense to convert my duel-mass fly wheel and the cost of parts/labor and everything. I went ahead and agreed to the repairs after doing some online research and confirming that Paul knew exactly what he was talking about and trusting Paul when he said "Kings customer service is crap, but their work is good." After getting my car back there was a loud rattle like something was loose when driving it. So Is scheduled to have Kings take a look and see what it could be, Kings told me that it was my sway bar clips, and that it was unrelated to the transmission work. I didn't' want to pay Kings any more money due to their poor customer service so I opted to have Arrows do the work for me. Once they completed this work we discovered that ti wasn't the sway clips at all it was something in the linkage from when the transmission work was done. When Paul first called and informed Kings of this they tried to tell him "We only did the clutch and didn't do anything with the transmission" even though they had totally rebuilt it!!!! Paul did get everything fixed though. He called the owner of Kings and explained everything and arranged to have me bring my car back in for the 5th time to finally get this all resolved. I brought it to Arrows and they rented a car to me and took care of getting it to and from Kings. Arrows has a great deal for rental cars when you need to get your car worked on, but due to my circumstances Paul got me the rental for free until everything was taken care of. The staff at KINGS Transmission is exactly what customers are afraid of when getting car work done. They don't explain anything, they don't care about the emotional roller coaster customers go through when having to pay large amounts of cash for auto-repairs and the overall vibe is that they are slimy. HOWEVER, the staff at Arrows Auto and especially Paul and the people in the office are the EXACT opposite. You can talk to them, get an understanding, never feel cheated and they truly go out of their way to provide GREAT customer service on top of great work. They are normally very busy but that is for a reason. Just look at all their stars. Thank you Arrows and thank you Paul! read more

This place is awesome, I have a audi a4 and the guy I bought it from has been constantly going here and he told me to continue coming here. I had to fix a few things in my car like the cooler and what not, the guy named Travis that helped me happened to know my car really well due to the past owner and was very knowledgeable and friendly. He checked my whole car and really honest about what was good and bad with my car, but he's been fixing my car for years now so he's very dependable. The people here are extremely nice and really show that they care for your car. The front desk lady was also extremely nice, very organized and was able to tell me the prices right away. They're also conveniently located and open half days on Saturday. I dropped my car off there one recent Saturday & was planning to walk into downtown. They offered me a lift, gratis. After getting rear ended in front of SafeCo, my car had a terrible rattle and I was concerned about driving it all the way home. Arrow was right down the street so I stopped in. Frazzled and upset from the accident, I asked if anyone would be able to take a look. Paul came outside right away, got down on the ground to look at my car and said he'd put it in the lift right away. Surprised, I asked if he really had time. He said, "Of course! That's what we do!" Easily the best shop in town. I have been driving BMWs for many years and as anyone will tell you they can be high maintenance but worth it for the ride. Of the many shops I have visited Arrows is the most knowledgeable and competent. From their technician to their service advisor everything is top notch. Adam even took the time to walk me through some iDrive features I wasn't aware of and paired my smartphone to the bluetooth, something I had been struggling with. This place really is as good as it gets. I purchased a vehicle from a dealership that uses Arrows for their inspections and repairs. I took the car after purchase to Arrows to have some things done (tires, brakes, etc.). The back seat belt required replacement as well and since my car was still under the Lexus manufacturer warranty, it could be fixed at no cost to me or the dealership. They're actually shuttling my car over to Lexus of Bellevue for me so I don't have to deal with traffic or finding a ride back to Seattle! Arrows Automotive is my new place for oil changes. Elliott Bay Auto Brokers refers its customers to Arrows as it specializes in German automobiles. I have a Japanese automobile purchased from EBAB (Yelp does not trust my honest and descriptive customer account), who paid for the initial oil change. It is my decision to return to Arrows Automotive LLC. An automotive technician, whose name is displayed on many framed certificates in the lounge, came to me and said "Never sell your car. Never. Don't do it. Never sell that car. Never." So there is comedy with the competence. I missed my oil change appointment but they fit me in when I apologetically arrived to reschedule. Coffee is offered, and the lounge is a bastion of serenity, complete with quiet and well-behaved dog. Very good and friendly service. Heads up: as of May 29 2013 i learned they are moving, same street address, different suite. read more

Brought my car here for a spark plug, air filter and engine oil change. The price is very reasonable and they give complimentary Lyft ride after you drop the car. I take a star off because after the service my thermostat stopped working and they didn't handle the occurrence properly. They honestly told me what happened but after I requested for a free check and repair, the argue begun. The front desk guy told me I can't blame someone watching my TV for breaking it. Fine. The technician told me the part might wear out during my car's one day visit so they need to run a diagnosis to determine who's responsibility it was. Well it's my first visit and there was no reason for me to trust they would acknowledge it was their fault once found out it actually was, so I asked to bring my car out and pay after they found the problem, which was followed by more argues. Finally we called the owner (Paul?) and he agreed to let me go without paying. Turned out they accidentally unplugged some sensor and they did free tire rotation and some other little stuff for me so I would take them as an apology. Overall, they run good and honest business and I would five star it if they didn't break anything or they handled it more gracefully, or at the very least, found better excuses. But other than that, I would recommend to others. read more

All auto repair shops should be run like Arrows. I recently took my Honda Pilot in to see why the check engine light was on. They quickly found the problem and ordered the part. The part came in the next day and I returned to have the work done. Bonnie called me in just a few hours to say that when they staterd the work it turned out not be be a defective part, but some rodents had eaten through the wires. They made the repair and sent back the part saving me a bunch of money. I've never had a repair cost less than the quote. Most places alwasy find a way to charge more. I had previously taken my 2004 Toyota Tacoma to another local Japanese automotive specialist shop for years, but last year they did sloppy work that cost me money and time without transportation that I searched Yelp for a new shop when it came time to replace my timing belt and water pump. Arrows had great reviews, so I contacted them and made arrangements to bring my truck down for the work. The quote I received was half of what the dealer charged; Toyota of Seattle wanted $1600+ for the timing belt and water pump replacement, Arrows quoted me $841 for parts and labor. I also asked them to look at a leak around the right front differential, which they confirmed was a seal and also asked if I wanted my AC compressor pulley replaced since it was making noise. The total cost was much less than the other shop I used to take it to would have charged, and also substantially less than the stealership. Customer service, communication, and overall turnaround time was very good and I am very happy with my decision and that I found Arrows on Yelp! read more

I know they don't need another 5 star review but it's past time for me to chime in. We have a very well-loved 1997 Suburban used for carpools, Ragnar races, camping, taking kids and their gear to college, and hauling landscaping materials, and it looks pretty much the way it sounds: aged and functional, nothing shiny about it. They treat this car like it's a Lamborghini. When the AC gave out 10 years ago, other shops told us we needed to replace the whole system for $$$. Arrow's was able to fix it reasonably, and it's been running like a dream ever since. Over the years, they've tuned this car, tweaked it, found scarce parts for it, and kept it running like new. One time we came to pick it up right at closing time. They noticed the tire was flat on the *other* car (!!!) and they stayed after hours to repair the flat, no charge. Couldn't believe how gracious they were and generous with their time. Anyways, just got back from having the battery replaced (almost at 100K miles on this Suburban!) In and out in an hour, they have GREAT COVID precautions in place and I felt very safe and respected. Even though 4 or 5 people had all arrived at the same time, they kept the flow of clients moving efficiently, I didn't have have to wait in the waiting room at all (unless I wanted to--they have room--but right now, glad that it's an option not to.) They texted me when the car was ready, handed me my key, and I was on my way. Love them, and very grateful to have such a trustworthy, caring, wonderful car shop. Thank you Arrows! read more

Yesterday, I brought my '97 Mercedes E300 Diesel to Arrows Automotive in SODO for an oil & filter change appointment. Because of a minor scheduling conflict, I had to wait an extra 20-30 minutes before they could attend to my car. This wasn't really a big deal to me - I had brought my tablet along and was quite content to sit in the waiting area and watch a movie while I waited for the oil change to be done (they have free WiFi, by the way!). Long story short - Arrows completely 'comped' my full-synthetic oil & filter change, just for having to wait an extra twenty or so minutes! Amazing! They really didn't have to, but this exemplifies the QUALITY of the customer service at Arrows Automotive, and also explains why they have so many ratings from their customers! I had a flat tire and although I live directly next door to a Pep Boys, I called Arrows to order a new tire for me and put it on. They have been our family go to for the last 6+ years due to their attention to detail, pricing, and quality customer service. I ordered my tire and had a plan for having it put on the next day. While "the plan" didn't exactly go as planned, what really stood out to me was how quickly Bonnie resolved the minor hiccup we had. I don't expect people not to make errors especially during these unusual times, but I do really appreciate when people go above and beyond to make any issue right. That, to me, is the true mark of what type of company or person I am dealing with. Best mechanic I've ever dealt with for a number of reasons: 1) They have a clean, professional shop while charging low rates. 2) They don't push unnecessary repairs. 3) They err on the side of charging for too little time and, if performing multiple repairs that can be done at the same time (such as an oil change and something else), will only charge for the time worked instead of adding up how long each repair normally takes. 4) They usually haven't charged me unless they were able to solve the problem. 5) I once got a free ride home from them when I needed to leave my car overnight. read more

My husband and I have been coming here for almost two years. This is a family owned business. They are honest, friendly, and communicate very well with their customers. The owner came out to talk to a customer about the status of the car and gave them some options in detail. None of this mechanic lingo that a girl can't understand. This is exactly what I personally have experience when my alarm stopped working and they talked to me. I felt like they were educating me with options instead of "telling" me what I needed to do. Technicians are available for questions. It's a small clean shop with about 4 cars in the garage at a time. They specialize in luxury cars. But they have worked on my little Honda. I've always been skeptical of automotive shops because I feel like they rip me off. I do not get that feeling at Arrows. Trusted family run business. I recommend this place to everybody. read more

Where to start; the fact that this place has 5 stars must me a joke. The previous manager Kevin was at least honest and sympathetic, but I am pretty sure he left because of how poorly this place is run. They had the car for 2.5 MONTHS. Yes you read that right. Roughly 90 DAYS. We were recommended this place after the Macan had a failing cooling hose from someone backing into the car in a parking lot And today we have 27 diagnostic code errors. This car came back worse. This car came back with non working AC, this car has a miss fire in a cylinder now. This car had ZERO issues before. Paul gave us every excuse under the sun (can't get parts and Porsche sent the wrong ones THREE TIMES...3? Doubtful) and shouldn't be in business. They literally powered back flushed the cooling system (not needed) didn't clean the leaked cooling in the engine compartment (didn't clean anything actually) for some explained reason they took off the timing chain instead of just replacing the cover. 2.5 months, and it's worse than before. Insane. Also they were AWFUL at explaining to Geico that hoses don't just crack and fail so now we are paying out of pocket for a car they basically made into a lemon. Do not go here. Do not believe Paul. The only thing positive that happened is at the over two month period mark, they rented us a car so we could get to a wedding. Oh wait. They also charged us for that and we had to fight about getting that charge reversed as well. They replaced the water pump. But NOT the thermostat (literally car 101 on what you do if you do one you do the other) oh and who knows if they even did that because we didn't get our parts back (which is illegal if you ask and they don't provide them). Do. Not. Go. Here. Our engine might be toast, thanks Paul! read more

Took my van in for a pre buyers inspection. I purchased the vehicle based on their inspection. After purchasing the vehicle and having multiple problems with the van, I had to take it back to the shop to get fixed. After a new alternator, rewiring the ignition and multiple diagnostic fees....my vehicle is still having issues. The dealership found that the fuse box was the problem the entire time. I just don't understand how I could pay for a prebuyers inspection from this shop and they didn't even check the electrical system. This lack of attention to detail cost me way more money and time. They got hundreds of more dollars out of me after they said the vehicle was in great shape to purchase. Overall very unsatisfied with this shop, do not get a prebuyers inspection here. Based on my experience they will not throughly check out your vehicle, and pass your file around the office for other people to "deal" with if there is a problem. read more
