They have one of the BIGGEST mimosas I have ever seen. Wycliff Champagne combined with your choice of orange, pineapple, cranberry, grapefruit, strawberry or passion fruit juice. Love the presentation and it was super refreshing and didn't even give me a headache. The food was delish! Horchata Waffles were superb. Fluffy and sweet. Came here yesterday for a quick breakfast and coffee before going to work and to read my book outside of my apartment. It was my first time here and I was excited to try it! Was promptly seated and was given coffee immediately after I asked! I think the coffee could have been made a bit better, tasting a tad bit sour but it wasn't so bad that I didn't ask for refills! I had never really had any Mexican style breakfast dishes before aside from the occasional breakfast taco or burrito, so I decided to order the Chilaquiles with red sauce and add steak. And also asked for a side if a single biscuit and gravy as it's my tradition to try at every new breakfast spot I go to. The biscuit and gravy and chilaquiles came out back to back. The chilaquiles were amazing with the red sauce having a perfect amount of heat and flavor along with the steak and eggs coming together to make a perfect bite. I have the gene where cilantro tastes like soap/ just bad, and I forgot to ask for no cilantro on top, but I worked around it just fine! The biscuits and gravy were also pretty good as well, I'm not sure if I waited too long to eat but I wish the gravy was way warmer, when served, wasn't even steaming. One of the worst breakfast experiences I've ever had. This place is always packed but don't be fooled into thinking it's good, it's packed because it's small. It's supposed to be a take on Mexican breakfast food but there was nothing Mexican about it. It was very American. My chicken and waffles came out cold and already drizzled with some type of Horachata icing. I could've done without it. Just a glorified chicken strip with cold soggy waffles. My friends both ordered savory dishes one was the steak omelet it was very dry and the other one was some type of hash served with black beans. I would equate it to nursing home food. Me and 2 friends came in for late brunch on a gloomy Friday. We ordered a picture of margaritas and asked if they could make them the specialty flavor of jalapeño and cucumber and they did for a small up charge. Also had a bloody mary,passion fruit mimosa and Michelada. The drinks were very good. I ordered the chillaquiles with green sauce and added steak. First off it was a big serving of food so if you are hungry this will do the trick. The sauce was tasty and not spicy the steak was cooked perfectly. My friend ordered chorizo bowl and he said it was delicious and also and big serving of food so again if you're hungry another option. Lastly my other friend ordered a build your own omelete and it came with breakfast potatoes, she said her s was really good as well. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food and service were very good. The is a small parking lot off to the side and you have to walk to the mainstream to get to front door, as it is right on Metcalf. OMG! I'm hooked! I will most definitely be back & I'm bringing everyone!! This place was such a vibe. Very aesthetically pleasing.. but also intimate! It's kinda small from what I thought.. but it was super good. The food portions were great. The food itself was super flavorful & so filling! We challenged ourselves by getting the huge mimosa ( 2 1/2 champagne bottles were used)... we were lit.. lets just say that. Everything was on point. The waitresses were super nice & the music was great. We got to request a song, & when they played it the cook was dancing in the back & pointed at my friend (who requested it). It was just great! What an excellent find! We were getting our car serviced and had some time to spare so we decided to check this place out and soooo glad we did! Service was fast and friendly! The food was the best we have had in awhile at breakfast places in the city! My daughter had the Mexican skillet which had chorizo and loved every bite. I ordered the avocado toast...it is always a gamble ordering avocado toast as so many places are just so bland and tasteless and I end up ordering red pepper flakes to help it taste. Not here! It was amazing and I am already thinking I'm ready to go back tomorrow and order it again! It was my first time. Love the idea of traditional breakfast meets some Mexican style breakfast plates. It is a neat set up inside with bar seating, high top seats looking out the windows to Metcalf and regular dining tables as well. Our waitress (blonde lady) was very personable, explained drink specials, provided best selling meal options and was funny as well. I ordered the Mexican plate which was chorizo with diced potatoes, peppers, onions and two fried eggs on top with white toast. It had excellent flavor and I liked the food was cut into smaller bites as well. My only suggestion would be to offer tortillas as an option over toast for these dishes. I've been trying to find a time to come here ever since it opened in my neighborhood. Since my boyfriend stayed over, we decided to get up and over there around 8 AM on a Sunday morning, since it's so buzzy and all the reviews talk about how busy it is. Certainly not busy at that time and I'd say if you got there by 8:30, you wouldn't have a wait. Anyway, the space is very clean and nice decor. We were seated at a little two-person table by the restroom which was a little quieter than the rest of the two-top options. My boyfriend got black coffee and I got an orange juice. I don't think the juice was fresh squeezed but it wasn't Minute Maid (which I think is too sour and weird tasting). They brought my boyfriend over a full coffee pot, which I thought was a nice touch. Service was incredibly prompt and friendly. I ordered the bennies, which I think is a misnomer. It's their version of biscuits and gravy, not an eggs benedict. My boyfriend got the chilaquiles. He thought it was good but he thought it could have been hotter, both from a spice and temperature perspective but he liked it. My b&g were really yummy. This new restaurant was already up to speed during my dine-in lunch visit. I liked the first-rate service and the delicious salad. The Southwest salad ($12.99) was served just 11 minutes after I ordered at the bar. It was nicely sized with fresh, mixed greens, a good amount of tasty, grilled chicken and a tangy, light dressing. Ok so off to the races, and I'll bring the punch line to the top. Yes we liked it and yes we would come back again. Normally the fam jam and I go out for Saturday morning coffee, where I get a chance to catch up with everyone and how their week has been. When we showed up, the place was full so we took the only spot open, which was 4 bar seats along the window looking out. That was a small mistake however as it was freezing outside which made our area a bit chilly. So we had the option of wearing our winter coat while we ate, or take it off and have to sit on them as the bar seats didn't have backs. Minor inconvenience that is on us. We could have waited for an actual table. Ok, on to the next.....the waitress was very nice and attentive and took our drink orders and brought them quickly...same with our food order. The menu has plenty of options and it was easy to find something. Food arrived, and we were all happy with what we ordered. Met friends for Sunday brunch. We had about 30 minute way for a table. Well worth the wait!! We all had a different menu item. Chorizo bowl, country (chicken fried steak) baconador, ham and cheese omelet, Mexican skillet and a traditional breakfast. Fortunately our group loves to share. We all tasted each other's meals and they were all fantastic. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. I can honestly say this was the best chicken fried steak I have ever had. Parking is confusing, but available on the south side of the building in the lot and the garage adjacent/behind Casey's. The restaurant is tiny, and there's no waiting area except standing by the front door. Very delicious! The wait when we arrived (Sunday brunch time) was long but it turned out to be well worth it. This place seems to cultivate a trendy atmosphere and have a nice patio space. They have a nice cocktail selection and to eat I had the breakfast tacos. Best breakfast tacos I've had in KC so far for sure. My wife loved the fajita bowl and I did too. Unfortunately neither of us would recommend the pancakes but never fear because I think they do a great deal well otherwise. Definitely a fun brunch spot to bring friends to. This place is crazy good. We got there early on a Saturday which was a good move because we watched it fill up after. I started with a passion fruit mimosa and it was delightful. Very tropical and refreshing. To eat I did The Giant, which is there breakfast burrito. My life was changed in that moment. The burrito was topped with white queso which was divine, especially as it also covered some of the breakfast potatoes. The insides of the burrito were great and I loved it so much. The food is absolutely fantastic here! We got the Chilaquiles, Giant Burrito, and the BIG ASS MIMOSA! My wife got the Chilaquiles and absolutely LOVED IT! Crispy and delicious! I got the giant burrito it was unreal! Bacon, sausage and egg in every bite and the melted cheese on top was outstanding! The giant mimosa we all know is a gimmick but I'm a sucker for a novelty drink. It was delicious - but the first few sips I covered myself in it but you'll master the technique quickly. Well my, oh my! The fellow yelpers weren't lying. This place is great. Walking into the store it's bright, clean, and I was greeted by a very sweet lady, ready to assist me. I had placed a to-go-order but was a bit sad I didn't opt into eating in because I seen they served mimosas and wanted to try. But back to the food I'm a chicken and waffles girl at heart, so yes please! I wanted some eggs and potatoes so I added that to my order as well. Everything was ready when I got there. Nicely packaged and had my car smelling delicious. The crunch on the chicken was amazing, waffle was moist and golden brown, but what set it off the top was the potatoes. Unfortunately, there is no designated waiting area, so we all had to wait in front of the entrance, making it hard for people to come in and out and crowding the tables where people were eating.
