Decided to try this new brunch spot in downtown Overland Park. We ordered two single mimosas instead of their gauntlet mimosa that was two and half bottles of champagne!!!! Our service was nice but he did seem a little pushing with getting us in and out but it's brunch and things are moving fast so I can understand that. We are also not completely sure we were given the correct dish (chilaquiles) it was listed as zepedas on our ticket and when looking back at the menu the ingredients were not correct for either dish that we received. Great for the 'Gram, Just OK in Real Life This spot is trendy, no doubt about it. If you're looking for a place to snap photos with your girlfriends while sipping comically large mimosas, you've hit the jackpot. It's got the aesthetic, the vibe, and the kind of lighting that makes your brunch look like a magazine spread. But if we're talking strictly about the food? Eh. Is it bad? No. Is it worth an hour wait? Debatable. Now, I was there with a family of four--so that probably extended our wait. If it's just two of you, you might get in faster. But even then, it's a small space with limited seating and barely any room to wait. After what felt like forever, four seats opened at the bar and we jumped on them like they were the last lifeboat off the Titanic. The kids went straight for the caramel iced coffees, which looked amazing and tasted pretty good... but at $8 a pop, we expected a little more magic. Watching the bartender pour premade iced coffee into a glass, squirt in some caramel syrup, and top it with whipped cream kind of killed the mystique. I ordered the Cha-Cha-Cha omelet. Not bad, not great--definitely overcooked. The side of deep-fried breakfast potatoes tried to make up for it, but they could only do so much. My wife had the breakfast tacos and genuinely enjoyed them. One of my sons went for the French toast, which was solidly average--nothing he's writing home about. In short: this is a one-and-done kind of place. Fun to say you went. Great for social media. But if you're looking for quality food and a relaxed atmosphere without a wait that rivals Disneyland? Checked this place out while working in town at the convention center. It's about ten mins away so check it out if you're nearby. The place was popping on a Saturday and as soon as I saw the giant mimosas I knew why. They're hugeee and I wish I could have had one. Very cute for photos and the table next to me said they're great. Everyone was getting lit. I heard from them that this place is popular on tik tok and IG, I can see that I got the Mexican skillet and it was bomb. My friend got the chorizo bowl and loved hers too. Holy cow, this place is so good! We're visiting from Texas, but I used to live in KC. Typically Mexican food in this town is not up to standards, but the chilaquiles here were as good as the ones I had in Mexico! The drinks were excellent and the atmosphere on point. Excellent ham and cheese omelet. Good service. Delicious coffee! One star removed because it was really cold inside and the metal chairs were extremely cold! Found this place randomly online and thought the food looked delicious. We showed up around 10am on Mother's Day, which we figured would be a gamble, but it worked out and we were able to be seated immediately at the bar. There were also tables spread around the outside of the bar as well as a few patio tables. ARs come across very casual and chill. It almost has Palm Springs brunch vibes. They have a good selection of coffees, juices, and cocktails. We stuck with regular orange juice and hot coffee for this morning though. Both were good. My partner ordered La Bandera Omelette which comes with chicken and jack cheese and is covered half in red sauce and half in green. He ate the whole thing, but did mention the chile Verde was some of the best he's ever had. I ordered the Zepeda Special which is essentially chilequiles (tortilla chips with black beans, eggs, and queso fresco) but also with half red and half green sauce. The chile Verde was delicious and tart and the Chile roja was more complex with a bit of spice. I loved them both. The refried black beans were on point and it was overall just a wonderfully delicious dish. The one thing that was a little off were the eggs. I requested over medium and got one over hard and one poached. Not a super big deal though, I still ate it all. And we will definitely be back to try some if the other amazing sounding foods on the menu. read more

We loved that they had traditional breakfast options and Mexican options. My husband got the Cha Cha Cha omelette and I got the Fajita breakfast bowl. Both were phenomenal. We also had their breakfast cocktails. Their bartender was excellent and makes delicious drinks that were generously poured. The service was fast and friendly. When walking into AR's the atmosphere was extremely busy. We thought we would have had to wait a lot longer then we did. We also had a party of 7 and didn't realize they don't have a lot of space for parties of our size. I would say it's ideal for parties of 2-4people. As we sit down it takes a little while for our drinks to come I just got water and it was a tiny cup that ran out fast and my husband ordered a pop he was also brought a smaller glass. We noticed the tables around us had larger glasses so that was strange and our waitress wasn't very attentive to our drinks being low so unfortunately we were thirsty majority of the time. I will say our food was delicious. That was the highlight of the trip. We were pleased by the food. I don't know if the wait staff was just overwhelmed by how busy it was or what it may have been but we definitely took the good with the bad here and had a decent experience. We will probably try their new location in Olathe before coming back to this one it was just to small and crowded for us. read more

We got there a little before 8am and it was quiet for about ten minutes before everyone trickled in lol the waitress was so welcoming and sweet. We went around 11am on Sunday, and they were busy, but the hostess gave us a heads up about the wait time. Her and our waiter were both very friendly! The place is smaller than I expected, but it's cute. The menu has a lot of Mexican-inspired dishes as well as basic breakfast items. The restaurant itself is pretty small, but there is a cute little patio area with a few tables and umbrellas for outdoor seating. The food was delicious! I had the breakfast tacos and meant to take a photo, but before I knew it I was already halfway through the first taco when I remembered the photo. There's was quite a bit of a wait (quoted 40 minutes) when my boyfriend and I arrived. It was a pretty accurate quote as we were seated about 45 minutes after arriving. There did seem to be minimal parking. There wasn't really a parking lot, just seemed to be street parking around the block. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this place and I'll definitely go back at sometime to try something different on the menu. read more
