Visited Arts recently while our relatives from the Bay area We were looking forward to the prime rib and lobster special. Unfortunately under the new management this was no longer available. They had the prime rib ( which was of poor quality) for $ 27.00 and to add the lobster was another $35.00 Under the Old management this special was less than $50.00 and much better quality . We went for taco Tuesday. The tacos were good, typical American tacos. The price was right. My first drink was pretty good but the 2nd one didn't even resemble the first one and it wasn't very good. Went on a Saturday night. Ordered a pastrami and on the menu it said it was on a baguette and I got the mustard and mayo on the side. Arrived on a marble rye with the condiments on it. I hate rye but ate it anyways. Someone else at our table didn't even get their food. We asked the waiter and he forget to put her order in. They ran out of glasses at the bar. Someone wanted another drink and the waiter never came around so she went up to the bar to get it herself. Wanted to pay and it took 15 min for him to come back for the credit card. A friend of ours went there on a Wednesday by himself for a drink. Wasn't busy at all. Sat at the bar and watched the bartender chat it up with a small group of people. Never came over to ask what he wanted. Waited 20 minutes before he up and left. The owner needs to seriously have a meeting with the kitchen and wait staff. read more

Art's.... Always been a comfortable place with decent food. But now!! New owner took over a month ago and has instituted different policies and procedures. He hired a word Class chef with lots of creativity and new menu items with FRESH food. Most of the original favorites are still there, but noticeably better! He has hired additional Bar, Kitchen and Wait staff, along with the folks, from before. The service level has dramatically increased. Super disappointing! We have been going here since the new owners took over. Lunch and breakfast has been amazing. Took another couple out for dinner there last night. The salads were great. The pot roast was good. The New Yorks were so tough you couldn't hardly cut with a knife. They were horrible. Lobster was tough and disappointing. Baked potatoes were cold. I was so hopeful about this new owner, especially because lunch and breakfasts have been so good. Don't go for steak and lobster! read more

Came in on a Sunday morning, place was not busy at all. Not a great atmosphere. I can totally get behind the dark dive bar feel but it seems like they're trying to be a sports bar and definitely not pulling it off. We waited so long for menus that my husband got up to go get them himself. It took probably 15 minutes to get our order taken and then we waited 45 minutes for our food. My husband had the eggs Benedict and I had an omelet. Both were undercooked and eggs were super runny, whites not even set. Food was mediocre and service was terribly slow. No apology for the wait. Despite having heard good things about Art's, we probably won't be back. Disappointing. read more

The service was really slow. I waited from 11:40 am to 2 pm. Until i got food. Nothing compared to the very quick service I got today at the sire bar and grill located on magnolia avenue in riverside. This is a cash only bar and the sire bar takes credit cards. New owner is serving amazing affordable dinners! I had the steak and it high and cooked to perfection with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. My husband had the pastrami sandwich and he is in love. I absolutely love Arts Bar and Grill. I had been twice during the pandemic and loved the warm small town feeling of having the food made my way, there were a lot of bread options when ordering a pastrami sandwich, and honestly it's the best I e ever had. I went this week and it's under new management Dre; the owner is both friendly and personable and his taking the time to make sure customers enjoyed their meal and time spent in the restaurant was it for me. I've not tried anything but pastrami because I'm a creature of habit once I find something I lov, but in the next visit I'll venture through their menus and beverages. This is a gem of a place. The live band on Thursday night is amazing...bluesy and soulful. Service is fantastic. Our server was Jake - he's 5 star! Onion rings and chicken strips were top notch.
