I was sold one thing & given another. I left my previous pest control company because Anthem told me they would do my entire yard, rather than the 30 ft Moxie did. Moxie did what I was sold. When Anthem came out I was told they were going to do 6 feet, 3 up the side of my house & 3 ft out from my house. I blew a gasket. When I had called to schedule it I told the young lady what I needed & she agreed to set it up. I spoke to the young man who sold me this bill of goods & he told me that's what they were supposed to do. So I'm going back to my old company. At least they don't LIE. read more

I called due to a rodent issue and was told to let the tech know when they came out about the entry points inside the home. When he came, he never entered my house, in fact, acted like what I was told didn't make sense to him. A week after he came out, the issue was even worse than before. I reached out to Justin and was told he would have someone contact me and come out asap. Never happened. We ended up taking care of the issue ourselves. Called to cancel service and am told I have to pay $230 to cancel! Be sure to read the fine print, because all I was told was "you can cancel services at any time." Nothing about a fee and nothing about that only being for 72 hours after signing the agreement. read more

As others stated...read every single word of the contract. I was moving and told the technician the last time they came out, he looked at his device and told me I had no more services required and that he would inform the office that I was moving and cancelling. Today I get a text telling me there is service scheduled in two days. When I called I'm told I have several more services on my contract. $279 cancellation fee. When they came to my door I was told it would be 1 year of quarterly service, which should have been done just as the last tech told me. That was a FLAT OUT LIE!! I will never use them, again, if I move back to the area, and I encourage others to read the contract thoroughly before signing with them. The sales people lie. read more

If I could give half a star I would. As seen in other reviews READ your contract. The gentleman that sold me the service had informed me I would only sign for a year with the option to cancel no hassles. Turns out the agreement I signed was for 24 months and cancelling would require a cancellation fee. Pretty deceiving in my opinion but lessons learned. The techs are all nice but as also mentioned in other reviews there seems to be a lack of experience. The treatments provided were very minimal and not once was my inside treated. Throughout last year I continuously had issues with ants and wasps as if the chemicals being used were not effective. I don't recommend using their services. read more

They promised me they would have their termite inspection license within a year of me signing up with them and it's been a year and a half and they have not done squat! Further more when the contractor person comes to your home they are on site for less than 5 minutes! They do not do anything proactive and they act like you are asking for the moon when you want certain areas treated or additional areas treated. You will be shelled with stupid annoying texts, e mails, and automated phone calls . Their customer service people are rude, cocky, and they do not give a damn about your concerns or complaints. They will try to over bill you if you try to cancel your service so beware and stay away from this piece of crap company! Anthem Pest Control stole money from my bank account for a job they never performed, and they continue to lie to me and violate/breach the contract that was signed by both of us. 1. when I asked about the beginning day of service, I was informed it would be on a Friday. They lied to me and indicated that this would not be the case. They cannot change the representative's statement; their hands are tied; they can only notate the account. For the previous seven to twelve months, when it is time for servicing, I get a call every other month. 2. On May 26th, they lied to me about going to my house to do maintenance. My household comprises four people and two children, and nobody goes to work on Fridays. They have deducted $107.17 from my account for a service they have not provided. No one was there to execute the service when I phoned the office, so they apologized and told me to reschedule it for June 2nd,2023. On June 2nd, IT WAS A NO CALL NO SHOW. 3. On 6/5/23, I contacted and spoke with Manager Billy, and together, we concluded that a refund should be issued, and we would find a way to cancel the account. 4. On June 9th, I contacted you again since a refund had not been granted, and I had not received a response to my previous inquiry. ANA, the Regional Manager, would not provide her name when questioned, she refused to properly identify herself. I have lived in the same house my entire life and have never seen so many roaches in my life. Up until June of this year I and my family have used ameriteck pest control to kill the bugs around our house and never had an issue until I switched over to anthem pest control. They lied to me and said they could treat my backyard even though their was chickens and then when the tech came out they said they couldn't do that and then did everything else. They said there would be an uptick of bugs after the first treatment but it should go away after the second treatment. The bugs went away for a couple weeks and then came back more than I have ever seen in my life. When they contacted me to confirm my next appointment I told them I didn't want them at my house and to cancel my future services with them. They then said that I would have to pay $280 to cancel and have then not treat my house. I told them this is unacceptable and that I'm not paying for them to not do anything for me. The only other option they gave me was to let them continue to do a terrible service and pay like normal for 3 more times which comes out to almost the same price so I'm not getting completely screwed by them with that much money coming out of my account at once. Moral of the story is don't trust a word they say and go with a different service. 0/5 stars is the real rating. read more

This company is the worst. I will NEVER use them for any property. We had one last spray left in our contract and we were moving so we called them to cancel. They told us they would charge us but come spray our current home that we were leaving and our new property for free but they would only charge us one time. They ended up charging us twice and spraying our old home twice instead of the new house. They refused to refund us any money OR to go spray the house that they actually were supposed to spray. When I met with the salesman, I was not informed I was signing a two year term, he just said I needed to sign for a free spray. After I found out, I called to cancel and they talked me into a 1 year quarterly. Do not go with Anthem, the chemicals they use are so diluted it is probably safe to drink, they barely spray anything and don't even knock down cobwebs/nests once they know you are locked in. This place is as bad as signing up for a gym membership. They want 30 days written notice to cancel even after your 1 year contract ends. The service itself is terrible. The second time they came out I caught them spraying the neighbors yard. They always put in their notes that you weren't home even when you are. A year ago a sale representative from Anthem came by my house and I told him I do my own pest control and I do not have issues. He told me of the other "extra services" they do and me just wanting to give some business I told him I will only give you and sign for a year contract. NOT TWO YEARS! I emphasized that over and over and the sales representative agreed and made me sign a one year contract. He indicated that after the one year it will be rolling from one quarter to another. A year later (April 2021) their pest guy came and I told him our contract is over and I no longer want your company's services. He told me to call the office to cancel and I did. The lady on the phone indicated I needed to give 30 days notice and I told her that call should then serve as the 30 days notice which means their next service (after another 3 months) was no longer needed and was cancelled. She agreed and indicated that the contract was cancelled. As expected in July 2021 no one came to do anything and there was no charge to my credit card. Lo and behold in October 2021 someone showed up purporting to want to treat my house and I told them the contract was for one yer since March 2020 and i even called in April 2021 that I want the contract terminated. He left without doing anything. A day later I see a charge of $128 on my credit card! I called their office and I spoke to one of the most rude persons on this planet. The guy intimated that the contract was not cancelled and you have to give us a notice of 30 days to cancel. I asked him what did I communicate to you 6 months ago in April 2021 when I told you that I do not want your services anymore and that the year I signed for was over. He short back to me that "there are no notes" indicating that you cancelled. I told him "after I signed a one year contract and called you a year after signing that contract to stop coming to do anything at my house, did you want me to come to your office and write in your notebooks that I have cancelled your services"? The guy offered to give me half the money because their pest guy had treated the house. Which was a blatant lie because I had told the guy not to do anything at my house as I have cancelled the contract. But their Pest guy had went ahead and wrote that he treated the house when in actual fact he had not done anything. So they charged me $128 FOR DOING NOTHING - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! He offered to pay me back half the money instead and I told him I need all my money. After that he hanged the phone on me. I am so sure with this level of customer service, an ANTHEM pest control guy will be at my door come January 2022 - because they want to make their money through this method. They make it impossible to talk to anyone. They reel you in and convince you to make an appointment the next day. Thought it might be a good option but when I decided to cancel the appointment they make it impossible to get a hold of anyone. Thankfully the salesman left me his direct line otherwise I'm not sure when I would be able to speak to someone. I used Anthem for 1 full year (yes they lock you in with a contract). The service is mediocre. A "technician" goes around your property, sprays it not even keeping a pattern. The whole service takes 4 minutes (on a decent sized property), lots of blind spots not covered. Got ants? good luck. Looking at the surveillance recordings from the last 5 services provided by this company and I said to myself: what an easy way to make 110$/service. The bug population never decreased. Now I have a new company and what a difference. Anthem if you are reading these comments, please, improve the quality of the services you provide, train your technicians better, train them to care about the property they are servicing, otherwise people will figure out that the service you provide they can do it themselves by just going to Home Depot and spend 4-5 minutes to spray their property. read more

We moved into our house in 2021 and this company came by our house after we moved in. They said we would get 3 treatments @@110.00. They did not say it would be for 2 year contract. A lot can happen in a year much less 2 years. I tried to cancel my contract or subscription as they refer to it because it has been over a year and we can not afford their service any longer due to needing to help out family members financially. I asked for a copy of my contract and no response from company. They said we signed up for 9 treatments and have only done 4. I did not agree to 9 treatments. They want to charge a fee to cancel but will not tell me how much. I told them not to come out last week for a treatment because I didnt have money to pay them. Not only did they proceed to come out and supposedly treat when no one was home but then charged card when told not to. This charge created an overdraft in my bank account. Had my girl sign up to have the house treated due to it having a bunch of random bug in the house. The sales men came and give a presentation and so forth.. sounded like a "good" thing to have for the home... Wrong wrong wrong. We ended not being happy with the service at all. No one would answer calls, we'd always have to wait 10-20 minutes on the phone to get a hold of any, IF anyone answered. Once the call centers finally answered, they way they spoke was as if they didn't even want to talk to you, very blunt and plan. We're trying to cancel the service and they hit us with a ridiculous amount to cancel. I'm currently trying to speak directly with the owner not the "manager" which we've already talked to and I'm still not happy. I myself am a GC and I would NEVER give any of my customers this kind of service. If I could give 0 stars, trust me I would. This company is a joke. Save your money and stay away. read more

It's rare if someone wants to write a bad review on a business. The customer service or the product have to be that bad for anyone to take time out of their life to review the company. I will say this, we did not experience any rudeness from the employees but I'm sure some sketchy work was being done. One of the guys showed up to the house claiming they knocked and rang the door bell and no one was home when clearly the owners were because the kids have online schooling so there's nowhere to go during the first half of the day. The employee also claimed he went ahead performed a pest control treatment only in front of the house and left the site. It's obvious if you didn't have access to the whole property at all to reschedule but none of that was done. The first experience was just as bad as the first, the guy spent 10-15 minutes, spraying here and there, one little rat trap without fully going into the attic. Basically trust issues with the company. If you want a trustworthy company I recommend you find another specialized business. Don't follow your instincts, follow the reviews of the community and what they say about the work of the employees of it matters to you. read more

Would give zero stars if I could. Signed up with a guy and got a good deal. (or so I thought) He asked if we wanted our payments Auto debited. We said NO. He said that was fine and we could pay when they came out. Since then he has not been back. Today my card was charged for 96 dollars. He told us it would be $34 a quarter. I call them and everyone I speak with is so rude. They said the amount was past due. (We signed up in August) I explained the guy never came back and we did not want it auto debited. We used a card for the initial payment we never use. So when they charged it today, it over drafted the account. The women I spoke with, Shari, was so rude. I have worked in Customer Service my whole life and this women needs a lot of training or a different job. I did NOT give written or verbal permission for my card to be auto debited. I was a customer with them for over a year. They would come and do a good service. When we signed up with them, they stated that we did not have a yearly contract and could cancel when needed. We my husband and I called to cancel 4 months ago, they stated that they had no record of the call and that we were in a 2 year contract and would need to pay to get out of it. We stated that is not what we were informed of or signed. We fell on financial hard times and needed to cut expenses. When we spoke to them to discuss further that we have this issue and need to cancel service, they stated that they would charge us for the remaining services and then cancel. We asked to speak with upper management and were told we would get a call back. WE NEVER RECEIVED THAT CALL and they charged us. Now I can't afford groceries for my family. My advice is to stay far away. The techs are very polite and friendly, but not properly trained in using the chemicals, and if you have a problem, you cannot get anyone to return your calls. Their sales staff is top notch and that is what they concentrate on, because once you sign their "deal" it will cost you $249 to get out of it. Their initial treatment was fine, and that tech was thorough and great. Next visit, a tech came and stood in my yard and sprayed (like you would spray from a hose) from one spot. My kitchen window and the top of my bushes appeared to get treated very well, but he neglected the perimeter around the base of the house, you know, where most bugs enter. He never went to the backyard. I was trying to get ready to make an appointment so I didn't have time to go out and talk with him. I foolishly thought I could wait until my next treatment, 3 months later. Well, after two months, I noticed droppings in one kitchen drawer, cockroach droppings. I called and the rep asked me what was better morning or afternoon. I said it depended on the day. She said, next Tuesday (5 days later). I said I have something from 11-1 scheduled, how early can you make the appointment. She replied that she didn't have anything in the morning. Okay, how about the afternoon? No I have nothing there (why she picked Tuesday then I have no idea). So I told her that I sort of considered this a bug emergency and a health hazard that needs to be remedied very soon, could you squeeze me in today? No, I will transfer you to our manager. I get transferred, and I get voice mail. No name is on the voice mail so I don't know whom I am speaking to. I leave a message explaining my issue. I wait two hours, no one returns my call. I call again. I am put on hold then told I am being transferred to the Houston office where they can help me better (I called the Houston number). Again, I get voice mail, again, I never hear back. I try to find someone on line to talk to and can find nothing, but I do stumble upon the CEO's Linkedin page so I send him a message. Surprise, no answer, although their leading article on their page is how to get sales. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with for customer service. It is no wonder they are trying to expand in other states. If you can't keep customers, then you must always be finding new suckers. Still waiting 5 days later for my return phone call. read more
