if you want a used car dealership experience while shopping for furniture, definitely pick Ashley's. we were at AFW and found a set made by Ashley's. It only came in black or white, so we checked to see if they had the brown and would price match. Ashleys said they would price match. Left AFW and drove to Ashley's to verify. the sales lady said they would price match. went through the process charged my card and at the end she showed me the black couch. I said no we are here because we wanted the brown couch. Tommy Hoppal and the regional would not honor the agreement. At that point I canceled the order of the black couch. Now that the order was canceled for some reason I could not get a printed or emailed copy that the order was canceled. a hand written refund was all I got, very unprofessional. Also I would like to point out the manager said AFW only sells junk and it breaks in 1 year. Funny since AFW sells Ashley's. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Ashley Furniture. We ordered four countertop stools and waited over a month for delivery. The delivery was then delayed an additional week, and we were only notified the night before they were supposed to arrive. When the stools were finally delivered, they were not assembled. Because we signed for the delivery, Ashley now refuses to accept a return--even though the stools are not what we ordered. They are barstool height instead of countertop height, which is what we previously had and what they were supposed to be. To make matters worse, it is nearly impossible to resolve anything directly with the store. Every time we try to call and speak with the sales representative, the call is transferred to an overseas call center, and the only response we get is that they will not accept a return because the delivery was signed for. Between the repeated delays, poor communication, incorrect product, and lack of customer support, this experience has been extremely frustrating. I would not recommend purchasing from Ashley Furniture unless you are prepared to accept delays, limited accountability, and no flexibility if something goes wrong. read more

I wish I could give the store 5 stairs and customer service no stars. I purchased a mattress and Sam and Mike store managers for two different locations have been wonderful to deal with. In fact it was Mike who 5 mins before closing called me back instead of waiting until the next day that saved us. He was able to make sure that we started a case # to get the ball rolling on a defective product. Had he chosen to wait we would have been outside of the small 72 hour window. I had originally called customer service prior to calling the store but did not like how the call went, and thought I better call and make sure I get this documented. We received a replacement mattress and were informed that the 1st was defective and did not count towards our sleep trial. That a sleep trial needs to be at least 30 days. After sleeping on the replacement mattress for more than 30 days but still within the sleep trial window, I contacted Sam and he issued a request for our exchange. Again store was amazing to deal with. In responce to his request I had to document pictures of the mattress and was informed that it was only to show no damage, that if there is damage it would void the sleep trial. This made sense and I documented the mattress, which has nothing wrong with it. I received a response stating that we already received a replacement and they would not be sending us a replacement. Due to customer service being outsourced, they DO NOT UNDERSTAND defective verses sleep trial. Customer service has hung up on me, put me on hold without coming back on the phone and trying to email what is clearly a prescripted text. Each time I call in they give me the run around to take pictures and restart the process all over again. I have asked so many times to be transferred to a supervisor and was either denied, put on hold and when the person returned to my call acted like I never asked for a supervisor in the 1st place. After several calls and repeatedly asking for a supervisor I was finally transferred to plead my case. The supervisor's English was a huge improvement and he understood the issue and was able to inform the review department of the error that the 1st mattress was not a reselect but defective. Otherwise we would be denied again. Currently waiting for the supervisor contact the approval department to get us approved for the replacement. Buyer beware! Like I said highly recommend the store but the nightmare of outsourcing customer service makes me not want to bring my business to Ashley. This should not have taken almost 3 weeks to fix. read more

Buyer Beware going to any other furniture store besides this one. We bought a sectional and when we got them home the backs look terrible as they are recliners and were hidden in the store. We wanted to exchange for another set as they delivered day before and was willing to pay restocking fee. I went to store and there was a rude lady behind the sign that said returns and cancelations. She said no returns or exchanges. I asked for the manager and they made me wait 30 min for him. This manger was a slimy used car salesman promised me he would look into it and email me back , he did nothing at all. In my 50 years of buying furniture i never had a more unprofessional experience. We have been a repeat customer for years. we recently bought several items that were delivered yesterday. We immediately didn't like a coffee table and end table set. we tried to return them today, one day later and completely unused. We even told them that we would drive them there and pick up the more expensive ones that we want. They said that the items were non returnable which no one told us when we purchased them. I have never heard of a store not accommodating a return the following day when the product isn't used and the customer is willing to make it so easy by do all the legwork. read more

Sales Representative Angela Burk Vail at Ashley Furniture Store at 1819 E. Williams Field store straight up lied to my face. I was the first AND ONLY person in the store April 2, 2025 at 10:00. I was looking for a very specific piece and explained to Angela, about 30 times that anything I purchased NEEDED to be assembled BEFORE and then to add set up and delivery. I was there almost an HOUR as she followed me around with her iPad pulling up what was assembled vs. What I would have to put together. An HOUR of searching and back on said iPad and found exactly what I wanted. Again BEFORE I checked out, BEFORE I had her add my information, BEFORE the total, BEFORE the delivery date, each and every single time I made it clear "I don't care about the cost, I care about it being assembled, set up & delivered." Every. Single. Time. She said it was every single time. The delivery date was 20 days out, and I didn't mind as long as it was ASSEMBLED, SET & UP, AND DELIVERED. I even bought another piece of furniture I had not planned on buying because it could be ASSEMBLED, SET UP AND DELIVERED. Fast forward to today April 22nd, and guess what cane to my home in boxes!!! I WAS LIVID, the poor driver was confused, and immediately I called the store and was told ZERO RETURN POLICY! WTF are you even talking about? I order 4 total pieces of furniture, get 3 that have come in boxes, PAID EXTRA FOR SET UP AND DELIVERY only to be told, "Yeah, no returns?" I have three pieces of furniture that I don't want because I am NOT able to put it together, was lied to, Angela made commission off of and now I am just supposed to take it? Hell no! read more

Ashley furniture lies and confuses you with a three card monte of discounts they talk about. Jacary showed us a discounted price for furniture on his iPad but it was only once we got home that we realize they offset the cost with a $400 protection policy that we explicitly told them we did not want. They refuse to refund the cost without offsetting the refund by taking back the discount on the furniture so it's not really a refund. Jacary talks a BIG game in the store about how he stands behind their furniture but be aware they have NO RETURNS POLICY for when you receive it and it's not the comfort or quality you saw in the show room. Their general customer service number tells you they can't do anything and that you need to call the store. When I called the store, I asked to speak to the manager Isaac. Isaac refused to speak to me because they were "busy" and they said he would call me between noon and one which did not happen. I had to go back to the store personally where they most certainly NOT busy and track down Jacary of Isaac who then refused to help. They told me that a return/refund of the furniture was not possible. PS - All the five star reviews (especially for Jacary) are suspect. He asks you to pull out your phone and post it in front of him when he's checking you out. Typical high pressure salesman stuff. Probably an effort to drown out reviews like mine. read more

They charged a lot for 5 year warranty. Two of the dining chairs never arrived and their ship was in the sea for years. Finally my husband went and got their damaged display chairs. Leather damaged in the couch and one recliner stopped working in the first month. They are very difficult to contact online. We visited the store many times asking about the warranty. They scheduled a visit and never showed up. They do this until some day passed and they several times they turned us back in the store. Finally they said time passed. We still have years of our warranty. They will make a reason not to replace anything at all. Please don't waste your money. They break promises. Buy from other quality furniture stores. As my mom is looking around she really liked one of the bed sheets she just a simple question and was wondering if they sell the bed sheets (as most of the stuff on the floor are on sell) Jordan the sells man came up and asked if we had any questions and I just asked if they were selling them and he said no, ok cool that's that. 1 star because 0 is not an option. I had a truly frustrating experience with Ashley Furniture, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I was in the market for two king-size platform beds--something I specifically communicated when I visited the store. From the start, the service was unprofessional. We had to hunt down a salesperson, eventually finding Cooper, who seemed helpful at first. I told him we needed two king-size platform beds, with no box springs, since we don't use them. He assured us that one specific platform bed was available and that it would be delivered before Thanksgiving, which was critical because we were hosting family and friends. We purchased the bed and two nightstands, expecting delivery on November 26. However, when the delivery came, it wasn't a platform bed at all--it required a box spring. I called the store and spoke with Cooper, who insisted that a "platform bed" doesn't necessarily mean no box spring. This was confusing because that's exactly what we discussed, and we made it clear we didn't want a box spring. He became irate and told me I would need to pay an additional $200 to convert it into a platform bed. I refused to pay extra for something I had already ordered, and when I asked to cancel, he said I couldn't. The situation was escalating, so I asked to speak with the manager. The manager, Dean, eventually called me and said he would have the necessary parts to convert the bed into a platform bed, but it wouldn't be until after Thanksgiving--December 3, to be exact--or I could pick them up from the warehouse myself. Given that I had family over and was busy preparing for the holiday, I couldn't make that work. After all of this, the boards never arrived on December 4, they never showed up during the promised delivery window of 3-7 PM. No one called, and when I called customer service the next morning, I got the runaround. And I'm still waiting. Ultimately, we purchased a second king bed from American Furniture, which was delivered without any issues within just five days. The contrast in service was night and day. I strongly recommend avoiding Ashley Furniture--they've made this process a nightmare. read more

I noticed damage to the arm of the chair I ordered during delivery. I spoke to customer service and before the delivery people left was set up with a tech visit. The tech was a no show and I received no communication. Upon speaking to customer service they decided to replace the arm instead repair it. I would receive the part in 8-10 business days and I needed to schedule a tech visit upon receipt. Now I'm past the expected delivery and past the return window only to find out the part won't be shipped until January. I spoke directly with the store manager and there was "nothing he could do". I really wanted to be able to write a good review, and gave them every chance to make things right, multiple times over! I bought a bedroom set here. First the credit was approved on night one, but an account number wasn't generated. They asked me to come back the next to to finish sorting it out to get the order processed. I went back the next day, and waited around while they kept calling the credit company they use. After hours more of wasted time, and leaving and coming back AGAIN, we finally used a different company to get it through. At this point, I would have still accepted that "things happen" and would have wrote a good review. While finding the bedroom set, I was upsold to a much higher quality and more expensive one. I asked if it needed a box spring and was told it came with the slats. Fast forward to the delivery, and there were no slats. If I lie a mattress on what was installed, I'd be laying on the floor! I called to ask, and was told that the bed with the drawers comes with the slats and this bed comes with nothing. Over $300 more for the "bunkie board" needed, but they would half the price and not charge delivery, for a total of $134.75 -- which I could get for that or cheaper on Amazon. And, it's the principle of the matter -- I was told it came with the slats! I used to be in sales -- when a mistake happens on the side of the company, the company should be eating the cost. This could have so easily been fixed, and then this review would have been much different. read more

One of the chairs had the fabric split and fray on the side of seat which is a defect in fabric. They won't cover it under the protection plan! We bought a couch , loveseat and a chair for around 2500, on the day of delivery they drove up to our house stopped for a few minutes and drove off, customer service said we had to switch delivery days because we weren't waiting for them , after much arguing they knocked the delivery fee off and switched the delivery day 2 days later . Come 2 days later no couches . They said something was wrong with our payment . Which nothing was , they just didn't switch the days . FAULTY BED FRAME ISSUE - STILL ONGOING (I've been patient for 12 months +) The Manager at this store in gilbert is inept at his role of manager. He is unhelpful on every level. How he became a manager is beyond me - his communication is awful, in fact it's diabolical, he doesn't even try to find resolution, he simply uses his get out of "I need to ask someone above me" at every turn for months. And then NEVER follows up! I felt sorry for him at first because i thought he lacked the authority to make decisions but then I realized why they don't trust him to make decisions because he is incapable of productive thinking outside the box and customer satisfaction or resolution techniques. To say I am disappointed in this company is an understatement. I am still sadly Dealing with this ongoing issue - it's been over a year - paid for an item that was faulty, they admitted it was faulty and it's since been reproduced to a better standard but they now suddenly won't honor the replacement bed. Once I have spoken to corporate, I will update this review to confirm if this is an ASHLEY furniture issue or simply a Gilbert Store manager named 'Sam' Issue!?! My wife & I walked in here since we had 10 minutes to waste before the Ramen spot next door opened up for dinner. We let Bernadette (the friendly sales lady that approached us as we walked in) know that we were just browsing to see what deep highback sectionals they had (I'm 6'1 200lbs) & that we weren't looking to buy anything for a few months till we move into our new place. Even though we let her know we were just "browsing" she still walked around & showed us their largest sectionals. She showed us that one of their largest top of the line sectionals (The Castano) was on sale. My wife & I feel in love with how comfy it was, how it could fit our entire family on it easily & the color. Even though we didn't need it for a few months we bought it on the spot (added the 5 year warranty since we have kids & pets.) We couldn't pass up saving $1,650 with it on sale & how comfy it was. It fit me better than all the other sectionals I tried at LS or AFW (I'm not a fan of the low back style since I'm tall & don't like slouching super low to be able to rest my head on a cushion.) Bernadette made the whole process super easy & we scheduled to go pick it up ourselves with a U-Haul truck a couple days later. I have a ticket opened to fix a motor problem for the bed we purchased 3 years ago. I have went through numerous phone calls and visits which they keep informing me that they will resolve. However, after having a ticket opened for 16 months I received an email today saying that they won't fix the motor and will have to pay for a tech to fix the issue. What a miserable customer experience-- not even a phone call. Every person that I worked with at Ashley furniture and their warrenty place Global Protect couldn't care less about the customer experience. It's a shame. I'm am never disappointed with Ashley's and yesterday was no different. As soon as we walked in we felt welcomed. They allowed us to browse and kept there distance until we had a questions. We spent almost 2 hours in the store because we felt so comfortable and found so many amazing things. Our sales guy Lawrence went above and beyond trying to accommodate my husband's ridiculous request to measure stuff lol We walked away a with exactly what we wanted and they are even holding in for is for months free of charge until we're ready for delivery. Purchased a piece of furniture from Ashley's in Gilbert. Had four in stock at warehouse according to salesperson and office personnel. We could not get a delivery til 11/24. They stated they would call prior to delivery along with a 4 hr. window. Waited for call all day (Black Friday) - no call no show. Store manager said "that's not her department". Additionally stated "I wasn't there so I don't know what was said" even though I was reading right off their invoice and point of sale materials. I was appalled by their lack of honesty and total incompetence. If I knew this going forward, my wife and I would have shopped elsewhere. Mistakes can happen but be honest enough to own up to it vs. trying to verbally insulate yourself from any blame. My advice - shop elsewhere. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. Last January (today is July 20th) we purchased a table, chairs and matching hutch. We were told that the table could take up to three months and *possibly* up to six months for delivery and we still decided to make the purchase. The hutch arrived within a week. We are still waiting on the table and chairs. It is going on seven months now. We were told to expect delivery on July 19th. Then it was re-scheduled for the 22nd. Now it has been re-rescheduled yet again for the 29th and now I am skeptical that we are ever going to see our new table. We have visited the store three or more times over the last several months to check on status as they have not been very good until just recently about communicating with us, and the only communication we've received are phone calls to refresh the agreement (because it has taken so long, our original purchase agreement expired), and phone calls to delay delivery. I suppose it goes without saying, but we will NEVER purchase furniture from Ashely EVER again!!! Then again, I will be surprised if Ashley is still in business a year from now. read more
