Tried this place twice and was not a fan. When trying new Chinese spots we always get salt and pepper pork chops, walnut shrimp, and Yang chow fried rice. The pork chops you can never go wrong. The walnut shrimp and Yang chow fried rice are hit or miss. Places make it either really really good or horrible. If it's good... you just know! And after the 2nd time eating here.. I just know it wasn't good for me! Don't let this discourage you from trying this place out and seeing for yourself though. Used to be best food & bang for your buck. The last few times has really gone downhill. Yesterday my sweet & sour pork was flavorless & soggy. This post isn't about their quick and fast service, or their location conveniently next to T4, but their a la carte menu that I think some people fail to realize/order from! Let me first say that this review is strictly for the food and not the service, since a friend picked up the food for me. I have tried Asia Delight several times previously because every time our work had a pot luck (pre COVID), someone would always bring food from Asia Delight. The reason being that it was fast, close to work and reasonably priced. So, when a co-worker offered to pick up lunch from here, I immediately jumped at the opportunity. I ordered the fried fish (cod), crispy spareribs and chicken fried rice. I was a bit hesitant to get the fried fish because the food is usually precooked, so I was worried it would be dry or soggy. My fish was neither. I was either lucky and they had just brought out a batch, or they have their technique down. The outside was still nice and crispy with the inside still moist. It was not heavy or oily at all. I love salt and pepper spareribs so I was excited about this dish, but I was a bit disappointed. The ribs were a bit dry and lacked flavor. They were not bad, but not as good as my go-to Chinese restaurant. The chicken fried rice was average. They do give large portions for a good price, so you really cannot beat that. My coworker ordered our food and she arrived they end up giving our dry fried ribs to someone else and then telling her she has to wait for the next batch. I always enjoy visiting Asian Delight. I think it's one of the best in the West. There is usually a line, but not to worry. It moves very fast. It offers wonderful selections of a variety of foods. The cooks might be capable, but what this business turns out and what sustains their loyal customers is some steam table Chinese favorites like beef and broccoli, fried shrimp, Mongolian beef, fried rice, chow fun, chow mein, etc. That's all refreshed regularly is served hot in very generous portions. Their won ton soup is good. If you want more broth and less of the dumplings and vegetables, just say so. If you want something that's not on the steam table, just give it a shot. Order it. This is one of those grab-n-go type places. I didn't know what I was in for when I headed to the restaurant. My daughter ordered food from this location before and it was pretty good. I thought I'd treat my son to something before we got on the highway heading home in rush hour traffic. Again, it's a grab-n-go type of place. My mom would call it a "greasy spoon"! There's 2 people ahead of me placing their order when I see a sign that's reads, "3 customer only. Wear mask. Stay six feet away." I chuckle to myself because the gentleman placing his order does not have a mask on. The place is so small three people could not stay six feet away and place an order. I didn't take the sign too serious at that point. It's my turn to order. I ask the lady behind the counter, "Can you please change your gloves?". I probably would not of done so had she not of handled money from the tip jar, wiped the counter off and rub her nose with the back of her hand all while wearing the gloves she was about to serve me with. She acted as though she didn't hear me the first time so I repeated myself. She looked at me stranger, walked to the sink and proceeded to wash her gloves with soap instead of changing them. My mouth hit the floor! I stared at her and refused to allow her to serve me. We have been getting our Chinese here for years. It odd a buffet take out. I find them to be very fresh and delicious. When ever they are coming out with the free cooked food I notice they always rotate it with the stuff cooked earlier. This makes me very happy! I love the salt n pepper fish also. Food is great when it's hot. There is a bit of an upcharge for anything not in the serving area. They consider that a special order, and it's $10 even if it's just veggies. I've yet to order individual dishes not on the hot bar, but my fav is their thin noodles with salt and pepper wings and fish. I found the beef broccoli to be too salty, and the shrimp in the shrimp and veggies is not always the freshest. Great service, great food, great serving sizes, and great prices. I have to admit, 2 large entrees, 2 mediums entrees and a side of pot stickers for under $35 is hard to come by these days. It's also an even greater deal because the quality of this hot-plate style Chinese restaurant is on point. If I could give them zero star then that is what they would get. I honestly don't know how they even have a 4 star rating right now, that is so crazy to me. Let me start with the food, it is tasteless. I ordered half/half of rice and Chow mein with hunan sweet and sour chicken. The Chow mein was just so dense and greasy, the rice had no flavor at all and the chicken had so much batter on it and had wayyyyy too much sauce which made the batter on the chicken super clumpy and just way too much. I get inflation and all but did yal just up your prices? the lady helping me wasn't even trying to be sly about which 'wings or fried fish' to pack, she was scavenging to look for smaller pieces. On top of that, there was a big empty hole onto the plate for chicken wings. I asked her if she could put 1 more chicken wing she said 'extra charge' ! We all know this hole is big enough to fit 2-3 more wings don't play me... and okay if this is the new standard fine I get it that's understandable. But they are so inconsistent about how much they want to serve to who.. Might have just been the luck of a draw on who helped me. p.s. it was a shorter stubby lady who helped me.
