First time ate breakfast and lunch at SFO We were catching a United flight to Albuquerque from terminal G at SFO. Found this place while waiting, and ordered the $15.99 'workout'. Comes with a decent portion of sliced chicken covered with Tamarind sauce over a bed of brown rice. Would have preferred more Tamarind sauce to give the accompanying sprouts, mixed vegetables and brocolli more flavor, which were otherwise bland. The cold bean sprouts didn't go well with the rest of the cooked food, and made it cool off faster than I would have liked. Would probably order the chicken curry next time. This was July 19,2024 the date of the Crowdstrike Outage.

My friends and I spotted this restaurant close to our terminal and decided to stop by because their menu caught our eyes. There were two ways to order, either with the two kiosk hidden on the left side of the entrance or up at the front counter. My friends ended up ordering up front while I used the kiosk because I wanted to look through all the pictures and read the ingredients. I ended up ordering the Vietnamese hot chicken while my friends got the chicken and veggie green curry and brunch box. We all placed our order around the same time but it took twice as long for me to receive my food. The restaurant itself also has very limited seating but, there is an open dining area outside the restaurant. Overall thoughts: Vietnamese hot chicken: The chicken was nice and tender and the spice was surprisingly flavorful and not just spicy. The box itself looked really small but the portion wasn't too bad. 7.2/10 Service: It was odd that those who ordered through the kiosk had to wait significantly longer than those who ordered up front but I don't blame it on the staff, more so the machine taking a while to send the order to the back.

this location has an ordering kiosk but it didn't seem to have all the menu items (housemade drinks). I got the chicken curry box ($18.99) and the lemonade with lime marmalade ($4.99). the staff were nice and greeted me in a friendly manner! the lemonade was a tad too sweet but the chicken curry was decent--the chicken was tender and the curry was thick enough

I was genuinely surprised at how good the food was, considering this was a restaurant at the airport. It was busy, and food did take a while to come out, but I brought it to a table nearby and it was delicious. Ordered the breakfast box, which had rice, egg, pork, and side pickled veggies. The side sauce was a bit too sweet for me, but everything else definitely was delicious. Pricing wasn't too bad either, for a quick service restaurant in San Fran.

Dropped in for a quick snack. Friendly, fast service. I ordered the workout box and mango pudding. The flavors are very good and I loved the pickled vegetables. The only downside was the chicken and rice itself was cold. It wasn't warm and if it was, I'm sure the bowl would have been amazing. Also, it could have used more tamarind sauce. It was dry. The mango pudding was delicious, good ratio of coconut, rice, and mango.

I quickly grabbed the Garden Box recently during one of my travels. I have to say that the food was really decent with a medium spicy sauce/gravy and a good amount of rice. The salad that came in the box was something that I didn't like. This place gets quite busy at times and I had to wait for about 10 minutes after ordering. Also this is only available after you checkin and is near to the gates - so not really available for people coming to the airport to pickup/dropoff travellers. I would certainly eat here again if the meal time aligns with my journey in the future!

Great food on a flash! Meal made in lightning speed and the flavor was not compromised. The Miss Jones $19.49 5/5

Asian Box is a well run, small restaurant in Concourse G of SFO. There is plenty of seating in the hallway to account for the many restaurants with limited seating. The menu is diverse with something for every eater. I like that you can switch the protein and create the bowl you want. Service was friendly, fast and efficient, even when I had to add something I forgot to say--"no problem, I'll take care of it". And she did with a smile. The healthy drinks are expensive even by airport standards. The meal was so tasty and very nice portions for travelers--many of whom are midway through very long commutes. Better than one of the meals on the flight, I was grateful to have had some left to substitute. I will stop there every time I see them in SFO or the city.

While waiting for my international flight, I came to get some breakfast at Asian Box. I love that they serve breakfast like breakfast banh Mi's in addition to all their rice boxes. I ordered a matcha latte and a breakfast wrap. I was told it would be an additional 10 mins wait because they need to heat up the rice wrap, rice, chicken and cook the eggs. Those who ordered the rice boxes after me got their meals and were long gone (the rice boxes, all the meats and veggies were all pre-made). The rice wrap was thin and inside contained grilled chicken, rice and scrambled eggs. It was delicious and kept me full for hours. It comes with fish sauce and the smallest container of fruits I had I ever seen (1 small slice cantaloupe, 4 blueberries and 3 grapes). Overall, good breakfast and since they are in the city, I would give their rice boxes a try in the near future.

Quite disappointing compared to other Asian box locations. The restaurant is quite crowded and popular so expect to wait a bit for your food. My portion size was smaller than what I have received at other locations. The chicken was also tougher and the taste was not as flavorful

OMG YUM!!!!! I stopped in for some smells and left with some of the most TASTY food I've had in a long time! And wait! There's more!! It's HEALTHY. Whaaaat?!?

Good choices in Terminal G when hungry prior to a flight. Flavorful dishes which is surprising for an airport fastfood joint. Ordered The Workout, Kid's Box with Milk and a side of Fresh Shrimp Roll. Sauces were delicious and not the usual variety from neighborhood Vietnamese restaurants. The Vietnamese Coffee was what's expected of one. Sweet and Strong. Do try them when you're in wanting for a flight as opposed to the usual sandwich fare.

A solid option for anyone craving for Vietnamese food at SFO. Just got a simple tofu spring roll. Feels it is alright compared to other restaurants, but a healthy option with reasonable price for the airport $7.

The first thing I noticed was that there was really not many pieces of ribs, maybe they made the ribs portion smaller to make room for the lap cheung I ordered? The dish description also says that it includes taro, but I didn't have a single piece of taro in my pot. Strangely, although this place seems to share a kitchen with Social Eatery, the rice was cooked much more poorly here, which is obviously a shame for a place specializing in clay pot rice. It seems like the rice had too much water added, so it was a bit overcooked - you couldn't feel the "single grain" mouthfeel texture you should expect from well-cooked, high quality rice. Since the rice was too mushy, it obviously didn't crisp well either. Though it had some small amount of bits stuck to the edges of the metal (not clay!) pot, it was definitely not the super crispy, well browned "faan ziu" I expect, and not at all like the pictures featured in some earlier reviews of this restaurant.

We also noted that it was the first time we've had something like this that had enough wontons on the side. Normally you always run out. Not here. The sushi was good but very small for the price. The last thing we ordered was pasta with foraged mushrooms. This was our least favorite. Was expecting a creamy earthy pasta with the mushrooms but the mushrooms almost seemed pickled. There was a very vinegary taste from the mushrooms that was off putting. The pasta was also very very al dente. Way too undercooked for us. Lastly this place can be a little pricey.
