Vietnamese food in JoCo! I was able to finally visit Asian Eatery and found street parking pretty easy on a Saturday morning. The shop is adorable, clean, and inspiring - I love the photos. They told us to sit anywhere we'd like when we arrived. I ordered a milk tea and mango coconut smoothie. The milk tea was not for me but the mango coconut smoothie was amazing!! I also ordered the phở bò viên. The broth was so aromatic when it came out and it had great flavor. Then I had the joy of meeting one of the owners, Alex! She's so sweet and friendly. I think pricing is slightly higher than what I'm used to but it didn't stop me, glad to have something closer to home that I can run to. I am excited to come back to support what Alex is doing in JoCo!

love the new restaurants opening in JoCo and this one will definitely be in my rotation. Fresh, flavorful and great service. Casual environment, felt valued as a customer. Enjoyed the wings, spring rolls and Super Pho. Yummy

This is a new restaurant located downtown in the small town of Selma, NC. Staff are friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the menu is full of a variety of Thai dishes and sandwiches, and Vietnamese style dishes. The ambience is classy, has average noise level, and has an authentic Asian vibe. I love the brick walls and Asian pictures. The owners are friendly, family-oriented, and professional. I visited this new restaurant on Day 5 of the Grand Opening. I will return again this week, and this will be a regular dining spot for me. This is a big deal for Selma, NC. I highly recommend this restaurant...Let's grow!

This was a great place to stop by for a quick lunch. It was very busy and we were lucky to get a seat at peak lunch rush. The seating was a bit tight. I really enjoyed their bahn mi. The sauce on the bahn mi was very flavorful and I highly recommend adding some of their chili flakes along with it. We had quick service. Will be back for sure. Hoping to try some of their noodle or rice dishes next.

The food was amazing, fast, and super friendly service. We got the eye round pho, spring rolls, and sandwich. We will be back!

We both get the C1 combo it's delicious. The house sauce that comes with this is phenomenal. Support local businesses

This place has fresh prepped healthy Asian cuisine. Very simple menu but delicious. My wife and I love to eat here.

I had to come on here and show some love to The Asian Eatery!! But The food was AMAZINGGG. I tried the egg rolls, Thai wings, pho, and the Souper Rice (with marinated beef, lemongrass chicken & pork) -- everything was seasoned perfectly and full of flavor! Not only was the food top-tier, but the environment was super clean, welcoming, and friendly. The customer service is A1, the staff is so kind, and the food came out really quick. Oh--and the milk tea was soooo good too! And let's talk about the prices... extremely affordable I will definitely be making this 30-minute drive to Selma again VERY soon!

Very clean, staff is extremely nice. We got here right when they opened due to seeing how popular they are. Now we know why! I highly recommend this place. I wish it was closer to me. My boyfriend and I drove an hour just to try their food. He had the Super Pho with a pork Banh Mi and I had Chicken Pho with half a pork Banh Mi. It was so good I wish I ordered an extra Bahn Mi to bring home. If you have time definitely give this place a try.

The food was fantastic, with very fresh ingredients and flavors that felt true to authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The service was equally outstanding. The owner, Alex, was incredibly friendly and offered excellent recommendations that made my dining experience even better. If you're looking for amazing, authentic Vietnamese food, I highly recommend giving Asian Eatery a try!

My wife and I recently moved here from the west coast and have been coming to this restaurant constantly when we're craving Vietnamese food, keep in mind we live 30-40 mins away and we make the drive because it's worth it, to add they have been very consistent with flavor, they don't miss. They have also won best Vietnamese restaurant numerously throughout the years, that speaks volumes. The staff is super friendly and very helpful if you have any questions about the menu. The restaurant itself is very straight forward but looks don't compare to the food. The price is also very fair compared to the other Vietnamese restaurants we've tried here and we've been to all of them, they don't compare and they're expensive for mediocre food. This was my first time but my friend's hundredth (her words!) There was plenty of parking. We were greeted upon entry and informed that we could choose where we sat and just to scan the table QR code when we were ready to order. We chose a high top and a server brought us water. The vibrant colors and decor gave off excellent vibes. I ordered the Karaage Bowl (on greens instead of rice AND all the sauces on the side) and a side order of seaweed salad. A server brought them to our table. It was not necessary for us to get up once we were seated. Everything was SO GOOD. Like, "I'm mad at myself for not coming here before" good. All of the sauces were amazing too. I ordered them on the side since I wasn't sure how I would like them all, but I think I'll leave them on next time. The "greens" were a mix of lettuce and cabbage. The side of seaweed salad for $2.50 seemed a little small when they brought it out but it was packed in there and was plenty. The server came around a couple of times to check on us and top off our water. We bussed our own trash. There was only one unisex bathroom that I saw. There seemed like a lot of takeout orders going out (it was a little separate from the dining area which was nice). There was also a lovely outdoor area that would be nice if it wasn't 100 degrees. I will definitely be back to try more menu items!

It photographs beautifully. Unfortunately, restaurants aren't judged on lighting. We ordered everything upfront: Banh Xeo (explicitly no shrimp due to a shellfish allergy), Cha Gio, Pho Tai, and the Chef Special. Somehow, not everything was entered correctly. The Banh Xeo arrived covered in shrimp. Allergy clearly stated. It was sent back immediately. We were told they could remake it, but it would "take a while because it takes a long time to make." Banh Xeo takes under 10 minutes in a properly run kitchen. We declined and assumed the rest of our meal would arrive promptly. It didn't. The egg rolls weren't just fried, they were fully baptized in oil. One bite and it felt like chewing on a sponge that lost a fight with the fryer. Then we watched tables seated at least 15 minutes after us receive their food before we did. When we asked about the remainder of our order, we were told it had "just been added" and would take a while. Pho taking 35+ minutes in a Vietnamese restaurant isn't high volume. It's disorganization. The Chef Special was decent. The pho, which should be the backbone of the menu, was underwhelming. Several tables around us had incorrect orders or long delays. The owner circulated, but instead of urgency or accountability, the energy felt inconvenienced. Here's the reality: great atmosphere can draw people in once. Food and leadership bring them back. If you're going because it looks trendy and buzzing, go in with eyes open. The aesthetic might be the star of the room, but the food should be.
