Solid lunch spot if you're looking for variety, consistency, and a good value. I love how I can choose exactly what I want and how much of it, and my lunches are usually less than $10, which is hard to find in Downtown Seattle. The food offered range from fresh fruit, vegetables, sushi, Kimbap, teriyaki chicken, bulgogi pork, spring rolls, bok choy, and more. I come here often and the service is always incredibly fast too, and there is plenty of seating in the food court area. Would recommend!

A good variety - mostly Korean cuisine - healthy selection. Their wings are fantastic! Reminds me of kaarage wings. Gotta try it! There's hot food, cold food, salads, meats, etc. As of May 2023, it's $9.45lb. It's on ground level on 4th and if that doesn't suit your needs, there's a bunch of other options!

Tried this place for the first time since it was recommended to me from coworkers. You get a plate and it's buffet style and you serve yourself. They mostly have Chinese food ( orange chicken, beef broccoli), egg rolls etc, but also other random food like yakisoba and california rolls, pasta salad, steamed vegetables and fruit? I enjoyed the options. You serve yourself and weigh your plate. It's $9.99/lb. I thought the idea was cool and the food was actually really good! Will def come back next time I forget to bring a lunch.

$9.95 LB. So many other options in the food court. Not worth the price or the wait in line.

It is set up like a cute korean style bar with small round tables which make sharing easier. They have a pretty good selection on their menu and we ordered a couple of items to share. The Rose Ttoekbokki with cheese was very yummy, but it kinda tasted like pasta with rice cakes instead of spaghetti. I think that is the point of this dish, so if you want a more traditional spicy flavor then get the other ttoekbokki option (spicy rice cakes). We still loved this one and the rice cakes were so chewy and delicious. The cheese corn was very yummy and exactly what you would expect. It pairs perfectly with the other dishes. My friends also shared the Seafood ramen and Beef bulgogi. They liked both dishes. One of our favorite things were the side dishes actually! The tofu was so yummy, and the bean sprouts were so crunchy and well seasoned. We even asked for extra! The only aspect that makes it difficult to come more often is the price point. Since the dishes are so big and shareable, it is easy to split amongst a group, but it is a little less affordable to come here for dinner and drinks.

We ordered: -Fish cake soup: pretty good, the soup had a good depth in flavor and I liked the variety in fish cake. Perfect for a rainy day. -Tteokbokki: was a bit spicy and the rice cake was chewy and cooked well. I've had better sauce though. -kimchi pancake: wasn't our favorite. Was a bit too thick and had too much batter - I like these to be more crispy and thin. Overall, a fun place for a casual Korean bar food.

JangAn puts diners in the driver's seat, meaning that seasoning your soup is up to you. This might sound intimidating, but every table has a guide printed out, and the servers proactively offered advice as they brought out my roiling bowl. This method of personalization complements the beauty of seolleongtang, which seems to deepen as you eat it. Warmth, seasoning, and time gradually coaxes more richness from the bowl, so take your time and enjoy the process. One special shout out for the banchan. You'll get both Kimchi and Kkakdugi (raddish) with your meal, and both can be refilled freely. I think you'll want to, because it was among the best I've ever had. They sell it to-go as well, and you can bet I took advantage. Overall 5/5

Have been in a few times and have had a solid experience each time. Fairly small place and not THAT many tables. You order at the counter and then sit down. It's self serve for water, silverware, and complimentary barley tea, which is nice. Both times the customer service when ordering was fine but not super friendly. I was the one saying "hello" first and saying "how are you?" before the cashier said anything. Kind of awkward/standoffish but not a dealbreaker when the food is good. Most recently I had the kimchi jigae, which was relatively spicy, even when I asked for less spicy (and they said they could accommodate). I'd say it was like 2-3 stars. Flavor was great though and it was a decent portion (for $17) and satisfying. Also, a pretty wide range of menu options, despite it being a small place. There were 4 complimentary banchan dishes (napa kimchi, cucumber kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, and fish cakes). Note that I don't think there are free refills like other places... maybe you can ask but I didn't see anyone doing so. For 1-2 people, it's a relatively generous amount. Also, only certain dishes come with the banchan, so be sure to read the menu carefully if you are wanting the banchan.

I have dined here before so the interiors isn't too different just small changes. Let's jump to the food- I ordered the galbitang and it came with 10 different banchan. Which is a nice surprise since some restaurants aren't as generous in the banchan. The galbitang was so flavorful for a "clear" soup and the meat was tender. It also included a good portion of meat. I've tried galbitang at other places, but there was an umami that many didn't have. All the banchan were flavorful too, I thought the kimchi had a good balance as sometimes it can be a bit on the saltier side. Service was great too, the sever was friendly and checked often. When I went, it was just me then a couple arrived. There was a delay with their order so she provided some mandu on the house while their order was being prepared. Once they received their order, I heard the couple tell the sever that everything was very good multiple times- their food did look good! I recommend checking this place out especially with the new ownership. Menu looks similar from previous owners, but will for sure go back and try something else!
